Once it’s bottled, it does not age anymore. actually, the air eventually seeping into it and oxidising it and decrease the complexity of the spirit. As i know, low end spirits, people do shot, but expensive stuff need to sip to appreciate complexity of it.

It is correct. As far as I understand about oxidation. It will continuously happen when it occurred. Just wonder, why some old packed bottle are now quite expensive? Maybe for collection? And oxidation may also happen in barrel as well.?
I agreed, once bottled aging stops. On an additional note, most cognac including expensive like this have full of added sugar, boise, and caramel color.
Do you bid at auctions? Saw a Richard Hennessy sold for £1650 plus 20% commission just below £2000 or $2450. Is that a good price?
I did not bid for mine.. but yes 2450$ is great price.. theyre at street value for 5k+

@@kenvietle5987 Aim for collectors it hard to get hold of the Vintage. They plan to add a new bottle every year. Looks like only available in Asia and France.
@@simonc4764I have tried all the cognac that he has except the Richard, my friend said the Richard does not taste good compare to Paradis :) instead the price is way difference.
I start to order the Vintage cognac ship directly from France, most of those cognac had been bottled in 1960,and 70. Even though there are so many grand of cognac you can choose.

When you say that you spent over 15K in two days…do you mean 15K in US dollars? What do you do with the alcohol? Do you drink it or keep it in a collection?

Hi, just came across your video… I know I’m coming in two years late, but that arsehole in the shop and the way he handled your Richard Hennessy… I would’ve run from that shop. It was eye watering seeing such a beautiful bottle handled with such contempt.

Richard Hennessy is another world above all the rest. Far better than Remy Martin. I have consumed way too many of both… Richard Hennessy is life changingly good. Remy Martin is still fabulous, but it’s made to a formula which never ceases. Hennessy are running out of the casks to produce Richard Hennessy. It won’t be long before it’s no longer able to be produced.
The price you paid was a bargain. I just sold one of my bottles to a Singaporean collector for AUD$14,700.
I’m not sure where you are on your journey now, 2 years later, but it’s pronounced Para De… not paradise.
