After watching the Egypt video, it's night and day how the culture is different. Despite the US having heavy sanctions on Iran, they still treat Americans with so much hospitality. Much respect and love.
I'm Iranian and this video helped me see it from a different perspective too. No matter where you're from. We always welcome you to our country and show you around
That was his observation that stopped me for a moment. I lived in China for 18 years and left there recently with a deep dislike of their government, I find it difficult these days explaining to Australians how much I loved the people I mixed with in my daily life, the populace of countries with 'bully' regimes are not an indication of the person you meet in the street or restaurant. Nicely put Sunny.
It is so good to see this video. My daughter's life was saved by Iranian American doctor when she was born premature. Without him, she would not be with us today. It was interesting to see him and his assistant talking in Farsi while delivering my baby. People are not their government. I had an Iranian college friend in California. She was so nice.
As a nurse I worked with one of the most beautiful Iranian ladies for years. Her kindness was top grade. She had a passion for any human being and knew that every patient she touched would be better from her teaching and care. She knew we are all humans and had no discrepancies on color, race, or, nationality.
@@Gravvvyyy i came to America twice before i hope and wish that you and your family could come to iran without any stress and problem iran is beautiful wish you and all our brothers and sisters in America the best
@@ahmadmirzaeizade312 I couldn't imagine what the plane ride was like! Haha. I thank you. I wish you well and good luck as well. I appreciate you even commenting! Hopefully one day soon I will visit your beautiful country! Good day!
Iran is a great civilization with people who like to be modern with an ancient mix. A poem by the great historical poet of Iran. I hope you like it - because my language is not perfect. Draw a separation wall everywhere. You build a bridge with a brick made of love_
I'm so glad you visited Iran. I got pretty emotional watching this video and cried a few times haha. As an Iranian living abroad ai always try to explain to people that Iran is a safe country with loving people! I guess a video like this is more powerful than 100 words huh! Thank you for trusting Iran ❤️
Iran is one of the most incredible countries I've ever visited! Thank you for showing the real people of Iran so accurately, and not what their or other governments try to portray. Such a beautiful culture and country with incredible history and warmth, but so misportrayed and so tortured over these past few decades. Incredible respect for this channel!
Nina Cee I love what I see on this video. Please if I want to visit Iran for any kind of holidays. Any link for the traveling procedures and protocols?
Indeed Iran is a good country .but tbh they are so racist against poor countries and humiliate them .they are mostly( I said mostly not all) kind to people with wealth or from better countries . Ps: I've been in Iran for years so I know them well.
@@andywalliant3189 Iranian people consistently rank as some of the friendliest and warmest people who place huge respect on foreigners, I've worked and lived there on and off all over the country for decades In fact, most for my western friends live there still despite the government change because of the people's openness. Sounds like you encountered people who work for the regime based on the experience you give if that was common enough of an encounter for you, because that is the only time whether you are Iranian or foreign that you are guaranteed to encounter hate as they are racist even towards Iranian people as they see themselves as Muslim and not iranian. They are the complete opposite and at conflict with the rest of society there... Which is exactly the point of my comment about their misportrayals from their own government. It's a very complex society and if you've been unlucky enough to encounter the government associated people then you really have not experienced actual Iranian society enough to warrant forming a genuine view of them.
In a world where the media attempts to set countries and people against each other, this was an inspiring and refreshing view of Iran, Iranians and it’s food…it’s made me want to visit! 🇬🇧 ❤ 🇮🇷
I wouldn't visit as a Westener now though beacuse of the government. Here in Sweden we just got back two of our citizens that were taken hostage while visiting Iran. One of them was held in prison for years and was about to be sentenced to death for ''spreading corruption on earth'' (The Iranian government didn't specify what that means) the Swedish government had to negotiate a prisoner exchange by releasing a convicted war criminal and genocide perpetrator. So if you go to Iran you may just become a political bargaining chip for the Iranian government.
man as an American I love Iranian food, I remember when I was kind of homeless for a while in South Korea, I had a friend there from Iran because his parents were refugees at that time before they became South Korean Citizens and I would used to stay at this friends house, his mom would wake up early everyday and just cook, it was some of the best food ive ever ate, this brought so much memories back
I really hope one day I can visit Iran. Forget my government and their government . I hear Iran has the kindest , warm people. I would love to get to know them. Blessings from America. We do not hate you. Don’t listen to news.
I am New Zealand Maori and can say that Iran has the best food! I lived in Tehran for 2 years, learning the langauge, culture and worked. Iranians are the most friendly, welcoming and hospitable people. They put alot of effort into their food which looks, smells and tastes amazing! Ohhh and they love to joke :D
I'm Iranian and i don't know half of the dishes :D Let me know if you wanted to visit Mashhad (It's the most religious city of Iran) I'll be happy to show you some new places.
@@hosseinenayati3318 thanks! 😊, I actually visited the shrine of Imam Reza (as) but before that, I went to Qom to visit his sister Masumeh (sa). It was so surreal because coming from such a small country, there's not alot of people everywhere but when I went to Iran, there's people everywhere so when I was visiting the shrine, people were moving like an ocean wave and I just went with the current lol. I didn't even have to move because I was getting pushed hahaha! I still love Iran though, I miss the food alot! I can make a few of the dishes myself which I learnt from an elder. I would definitely go back there one day🙏
I'm sorry our government tries to scare us away. Honestly it looks amazing there. And you seem like amazing and honorable people. I am so glad he was able to show the truth about you.
I can't believe that I have just finished watching 2.15 hour's straight. It's the people who makes the culture beautiful. Media is lying with us. This is the best video I have watched from your channel so far. ❤❤
I'm from Jamaica and living in Canada and believe me I have known a lots Iranian within the last 50yrs they are the most wonderful and friendly ppl ever.....
As I read more and more comments, I can't help but notice that compliments are being made back and forth between Iranians and US citizens. It doesnt matter that their politicians are at each others throats, I just see loving peoole reaching out to each other. And I find that both beautiful and inspiring. I don't think the creator of this video could have expected such awesome reactions and I for one am glad this documentary exists. To my Iranian brothers and sisters, please don't change and I hope to get to visit at least once before I kick the bucket.

I love this episode. I feel educated and feel like more people need to see this side of different countries. No politics just people, culture, food and a beautiful presentation that shows Éronians and their amazing culture 👏
Amazing how many beautiful people Iran has, it is like they are not even trying! What's more beautiful is the culture and food, and how nice and friendly the people are.
It is because Iranians are Persians, not Arabs. Make no mistakes, Arabs are beautiful too but Iranians/Persians are beautiful in a different (higher) level.
Iranians and Kurds are the best people of Middle East. I just hope one day they will get freed from the bondage of oppression and the death grip of Islam!
tbh all the imports are like that, I'm asian. For me it even comes down to eating, we wait until everyone's ready & we share. In Sydney I remember my good friends aussie family fighting over sharing pizza so their family always buys 1 for each person and no1 can mix anymore. So I only got to have 1 pizza flavour to not be intruding....
The people of Iran has always been amazing, and extremely smart. Not to be confused with their ayatollahs and revolutionary guard. 😏 Love the people of Iran and their delicious cuisine. 🤤 From a Mexican sister! ❤️
Made me want to go. Would be cool to learn some Persian. I can say hello and thank you in Arabic. Not sure how far that would get me lol. Kebabs are pretty popular in Scotland too.
people all over the world are the same. they just want to be able to have a relatively good and enjoyable life and or raise a family.. Politicians are the ones that destroy the world.

As someone who grew up in the Middle East, it’s very refreshing to see content that shows the beautiful, friendly, and hospitable nature of the amazing people that reside there. The culture is rich and storied, the food is fantastic. Can’t wait to visit there again one day.
Iranians are my favorite people from Middle East! Kurds and Iranians. Always very nice toward me (my mother is Swedish and my father is Indian). I like that we have a lot of similar words in our languages. I just hope the Iranians one day gets freed from the oppressive death grip of Islam!
@@bdurrrr Ehm no. They are the truest Islamic scholars. They are trying to achieve what Muhammad was trying to achieve. Making them the closest to a true muslim. 99,9% of muslims are not REAL muslims. Only Al-Qaida, ISIS etc is real muslims.
I lived in Teheran Iran in 1976-1978. Absolutely LOVED the country. In my families 3 years there, we explored most of the country. Watching your experiences brings back a LOT of memories. That said, the country has seriously modernized from what it was back in the 1970s. Seeing the food, as well as all the other stores shown in passing, stirs my soul... Excellent video full of lots and lots of memories! You missed one key form of bread Barbari Bread is one of the staples. Most Americans and Europeans absolutely LOVED Barbari Bread. That's a bread in long, relatively thin loaves, with the bread itself about an inch thick after baking. Cooked much the same way in one of the large open ovens.
From Cuba to Iran... loving these long episodes! The production just keeps getting better and better... so insightful, culture rich, eyeopening and this food 🤤🤤 the cuts in this episode were perfect 😙🤌
WARNING: Sonny's amazing long food episodes may cause the following symptoms: Severe belly rumblings, Mega mouth watering spells, a gigantic craving for all this tasty food (something different, for example I'm English, so it's nice to see how amazing looking, tasty and well presented the foods are), but the biggest symptom of them all is the 'itchy bug' to go and try new cuisines/cultures and push you out of your comfort zone.
The biggest take away from the places he goes is dispelling the Foux News mentality of world travel. With common sense and a little planning, we are safe in any of these countries, even Russia
@@inmyopinion6836 the faux news mentality.......people like you seriously make me laugh, EVERYTHING is fake, just like this covid stuff, as the 'media' only conveniently tell people what they want them to belive, or with covid to spread more worry and panic then is even justified. Anyone is safe in any single country of the world, as long as your polite, respectful, and you stick to their rules/regulations so that your not purposely going against them and bringing trouble or issues to yourself. Countries like iran, Iraq, Afghanistan etc are all safe.
Well, I must say... as a middle-aged guy from Texas you might call a "Cowboy" or "Redneck" or a native Texan at least... I would absolutely love the chance to visit Iran after watching this and experience the culture and understand more about the people I have witnessed in this video. This was a great video. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
you would love the nature, the hospitality, the food and the ease of life , when you go to iran although there is modern life style but sometimes you can feel you live in centuries back .
I’m an Aussie, my 3 cousins are all married to Iranian men, my sister is engaged to an Iranian man, I have grown up all my life with Muslim friends and they and their families are the most beautiful and hospitable people on the planet, never believe everything you hear from the fake media, their culture and food are something to be experienced, you never leave their homes hungry and that’s a good thing cos once you try the food you can’t get enough of it. The perfect comment, “ people are not their governments “ I’ve also never met an impolite Chinese person or many other countries
Please don't use the term "fake media". It is a propaganda term used by dictators and wannabe dictators (*cough* Trump) to discredit critical reporting in the news media. It is up to each and every person to have enough media sophistication to know if what they see on the news is truthful reporting or opinions and that what makes the news are the actions of a few and usually powerful individuals trying to gain power or money or both. You wouldn't want the news to be showing everyday people in a distant country going to work, meeting friends, and eating good home cooked food. Yet that is the reality for 99.9999999% of the global population. That's what documentaries, movies, and RUclips are for. We need to finally realize that and act accordingly instead of taking the easy route and blaming "the media" for our own biased and racist views. Read and watch media from different countries, don't get your news always from the same sources, learn a language, and travel.
Having traveled to Iran three times in the last five years after retirement (and ending up staying much longer than planned on each trip lol) I cannot add a whole heck of a lot to what's been said already by countless others here. Except noticing how clean they and their cities are compared to other countries of the region... especially after watching the Cairo video! The subway in Tehran simply stands out. Iran definitely deserves another video (or two) considering that some of its prettiest regions and cities were skipped altogether. Don't blame Sonny at all... there are just soooo many cities and subcultures there. It's like dozens of countries and cultures merged into one 😍🥰🤤 Excellent work Sonny... I can see Bourdain smiling.
Just finished watching the Egypt episodes. This video open eyes and perspectives in a positive way of how to look at Iran far from the media. This is just joyful to watch and educational at the same time. What a beautiful country despite all the sanctions and restrictions the only thing that got bad in Iran is the inflation not the behavior of people.
@@ABCD-xg6nr well, Iran had been through many sanctions far before egyptian revolution, so they have habituated with difficulties, they are well experienced on this so they can handle the mess.
Well the media's controlled by the government, whom spent a portion of late 20th/early 21st century fucking up the middle east and then trying to justify their actions afterwards.
@@ABCD-xg6nr according to the government, Egypt is supposedly the safest it has been in years. Everything still sucks because of corruption, has nothing to do with safety. An elected president has been in power for 8 years now, as stable as any country can get
I LOVE this episode!! Iranian ppl are some of the kindest and most loving, open ppl on earth! They love sharing their history, which is the oldest in the world, and their culture...which is NOT their government!!! It is a BEAUTIFUL culture that I've had the pleasure to have gotten to know first hand through several friends of mine! I feel so blessed to have been included and let in to their homes and welcomed with open arms! Treated truly like family!!!!
Their government is okay too. If not, Iranians wouldn't vote for them over and over even though they knew they would be sanctioned forever. Maybe there is something wrong with the current American government instead of the current Iranian government.
@@udasan There is A LOT wrong with the current American govt!! Our core values in our Constitution are awesome... it's the politics and bureaucrats that ruin it all. And make a mockery of what this nation was meant to be. Also, no government is perfect. I wish it were so but it just cannot be. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we all could see both the good and the bad in each other and ourselves?
2:12:45 "I came to Iran and it was nothing like the News showed me. One of the most destructive forces today is the ability for corporatized News to influence popular opinions, simply for what they choose to show or not show" Yes!! Thank you for saying this!
America literally does this to any country they deem an enemy state, it's no surprise at all. That's why people always say you need to travel to see the world for what it is, this is especially for ignorant people in the west who are lied to constantly by their "free media"
What an awesome video Sonny. This really opened my mind about Iran, the food of course but more importantly the people. They all looked very happy in their lives, everyone was smiling and seemed very welcoming. Thanks for taking a chance and going over to show us all that there is so much more to life. Sonny, I want to thank you for showing me a wonderful side of a country I have been raised to hate. I would love to try the foods you have experienced in Iran, and mostly the wonderful people you have met along the way. I am 58 yrs old and all I have ever been thought by the US and news is nothing but negative about Iran. Again, thank you for opening my eyes to the other side of Iran. I did nothing but smile the whole time I watched this video.
Sonny man, if it weren’t for you, I’d be completely oblivious, you’re pretty much the only good experience show I watch, and the info is amazing, you make me wanna visit every country you did. 😍😍😍 Iran, who knew?! With all the war crap with the States, you don’t get to hear much about the people and culture. This is a real treat Sonny, thanks man!
Their English language skills is incredible .. never influenced by their pronunciation of Persian, but just pure continental US English ... and add the richness of the culture .. Iranians are so proud of their culture that they have protected it from any external influence ... man this is incredible.
Man, Anthony Bourdain would be so proud of this show and what you are doing. In so many ways, this reminds me fondly of Places Unknown and the whole editing process and production feels like that high level Food Channel production. Well done on all the work that you all do!
I'd say its better production value and more true to life. Food Channel edits too much content and hobbles too much together. I really enjoy how Places Unknown was put together with Bourdain's amazing monologues he's a fantastic writer.
I'm from Saudi Arabia and once we put aside these politics agenda and differences, I find Iranian people are one of the most generous, hospitable and friendly people. Every single episode of this series I see, my world expands. I want to go to Uzbekistan, I want to go to Nigeria, I want to go to Iran. The people living in these different places and their culture is so incredibly amazing. All of these people are just normal people living their lives, dating, partying, cooking, dancing, singing.. I've actually been in tears so many times watching this show. It males me so happy and sad at the same time. All these governments and sick leaders, all the misinformation, alienation and stereotypes some try to push. People are just people. We're all human. I'm deeply moved and I did not expect it! Unfortunately that does not apply to all people. Blacks have no friends, because we are God's people, who have lost our way. If my people will...the world hates us just like they really hate God. We need to Repent and cry out to God then he will cover us from all our enemies.

their honesty and hospitality is on another level, this has thought me a lot and Iranian people are beautiful seem very humble . the also have beautiful culture, foods and country my favorite video so far!
Yea because in their religion you must be hospitable. Like if some person shows up you your house you must let them in, feed and clothe them for 3 days and after those 3 days you may ask why they came. Bunch of nice folks
What a wonderful episode. We need to embrace our inner foodie and dismiss politics. I used to visit Iran often before the revolution, and enjoyed being in such a wonderful culture. Nothing is perfect, put politics aside, and enjoy the wonderful food and hospitality of the Iranian/Persian people.
Thanks. People can’t seem to stop with their baseless opinions. It’s a food review video. It’s like why watch him. He goes to all foreign countries. People are running out of places to complain
Thanks :) Greece is also beautiful and deserves recognition because of history I think Iran and Greece have a lot of history and great moments bad right now the economy is bad

Made me emotional to see how 2 different cultures can come together and enjoy such lovely food. Thank you for such an authentic video of the Iranian people. May God bless them.
I'm Korean, my best friend is Iranian (we've been best friends for over 30 years, since jr high school). I LOVE Persian food. I gotta honestly say, Persian rice is, IMO, BETTER than Korean rice. I love me some Lubia Polo, Ghormeh Sabzi, Gheimeh, Barg, Koobideh, Fesenjoon and you HAVE to have a bit of Mast-O-Khiar on the side. SOOO....GOOD...Honestly, I'm salivating right now. Maybe I'll call my buddy tomorrow and see if his mom's doing any cooking. We might have to drive over there to visit and say hi, conveniently around dinner time. ;P On the other hand, my best friend LOVES Korean cooking as well. He LOVES Galbi, LA Galbi, Bulgogi (especially when you wrap it in lettuce with rice and Ssamjang), Bibimbap, Kimchi Bokkeumbap, Gimbap, Dak Juk (with a little extra salt), Memil Kuksu (during long hot summer days of us playing outside during summer vacation) etc... He even made up a song about Boricha when we were kids, that he would randomly sing, out of the blue (in a slow lounge singer way). It went, "Boricha, Boricha...........Boricha, Boricha." repeat ad nauseam. He called it "The Boricha Song" lol. THIS, is a perfect example of what's great about America.
As a Morrocan, i love the Iranian people and food, this was amazing to watch as i have family in Iraq and always wanted to visit Iran. This definitely has me curious.
It's 10 years now that I visited Iran and Iraq along with my family. The experience I had there is like no other. I just felt really close to nature and was able to be understood by people so easily there, I have travelled across half the world but if someone asks me where I wish I would have been a birth citizen of I without hesitation say Iran. I mean that's all you need right at the end of the day, a group of people who put efforts to make you feel comfortable and a country which has a balance of modernization along with historic culture. Been in Boston, USA for 2 years now and that is where I had the most horrible experiences feeling happy to leave USA and never return in 2 days. 😅
I love how they look at him while he tastes the dishes waiting for him to say what he thought of them. Food is one of the most important components of any cultures and sharing that is such an amazing experience.
From a fellow American thank you for a wonderful episode. My wife and I lived and worked for a few years in the Middle East, on the other side of the water from Iran. We knew all Iranians as wonderful friendly and articulate people and of course amazing craftsman and women. Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to visit when we were there but you made it a little bit easier because he went to Esfahan location where we plan to go before we ended up coming back to the US. Thanks again for a quality show, you never disappoint

I absolutely LOVED watching this video! I so enjoyed the way that Sonny was himself around the Iranian people and they laughed about the same things that we laugh about here in the United States. No matter where we go, people cherish their spouses, their children, their families, weep for and celebrate life, and give and receive love and friendship. We all are living the human condition and experience this life as human beings, not a political system. As Americans, we are exposed to different cultures and places in relation to a sanitized view of the people through their political systems and communities. Small, divisive minority sects give us a poor representation of the people at large. We tend to make assumptions by what we are told and not by what we can experience. Unfortunately, we aren't all in the position to see for ourselves what these places and the people are truly like so, it is so wonderful to have the opportunity to catch a glimpse through someone else's experience and through their camera lens. Thank you, Sonny, for this wonderful opportunity to see a different Iran. It was truly enlightening.
First Sonny let me say THANK YOU! I an a retired Navy and retired Dept. of Homeland Security law enforcement officer and have traveled all over the world. Places we were told to be careful and don't trust the people were usually wrong, except those that were trying to do harm to the U.S. and her interests. I've been to many dangerous places, but one thing "I" did was be aware of my surroundings and keep an open mind! Iran I met many wonderful people and that was typical of a lot of areas I was detailed to. I was raised to not see color, do unto others as you would have done onto you, keep an open mind and always remember to help those that need help. I was third generation Navy and served to protect my country and our citizens. BUT, thank God that did not deter me or change my mind on how I was raised. To this day I wish more people would open their eyes to what is real and true. Thank you I feel and think this was one of your BEST episodes yet! Keep it up your a trip and I always enjoy you and where you go!

Sunny glad to know more foodies from RUclips in the states are coming to Iran 🇮🇷 to enjoy the culture and food. The presentation represents the people of Iran are friendly, generous, and kind hearted. People make the nation not the government . The government misrepresents the true soul of the people of Iran. You make a great food ambassador. 😊😊😊
you don't just bring us a food documentary but open our eyes to see beyond our stereotypical believes about other cultures. This has been my favourite on this channel. Beautiful , warm, Honest and humble people from Iran. Keep up great work.
I grew up in a heavily Iranian area of Los Angeles, most hospitable, kind, beautiful and cultured people ever. When you are their guest, you are treated like royalty... this is an EPIC documentary, great job!!
I had some guests from France and UK who visited iran and once me and my family hosted them they were shocked ! And we were shocked because of the being shocked like what do u mean u do not put a full table of fruits in front of guests or not make multiple types of food 🤣🤣 Also they wanted to wash their own dishes which like kinda offensive here cause it means we were impolite hosts 🤣🤣
I love your videos, Sonny. However, I'm busy today and needed to eat a quick lunch and get back to work. I ended up sitting here for 2 hours, enjoying your trip to Iran. I have to say, this was the most beautiful video I've seen of yours. Your humbleness and heartfelt gratitude beams through. 5 stars, man!! I'm highly impressed, though I'm not at all surprised . Your production team is incredible, as well. Kudos to you all!!
This was posted almost a year ago but I wanted to add another shoutout to Iranians. I worked with Iranians (all Persians I think) in the US for years and they are the most kind and class people I've ever worked with. Two friendships came out of working together but unfortunately our lives took different paths so I haven't talked to them in a long time. I love Persian food. My most favorite dish of all is fesenjoon but I love me some ghormeh sabzi and eat it once a week at local restaurants in the Washington, DC area. I like all Persian food that I had a chance to try living in the US. Don't want to make it about politics but I'm with your struggle with all of my heart.
@@airyanawaejah2323but we all are Iranian , western people called Iran Persia because they knew Iran from Greece historian but in Iran we call it Iran, Iran is not about blood or religion, Iran stand on culture
I want to visit Iran so much. I like this country so much without ever being there, just by learning about it’s history and culture. All Iranians I’ve ever met were really nice people.
I absolutely loved watching this series, the people are so beautiful and warm. I'm not sure I would try all the food but enjoyed your willingness to try everything. I'm from Australia but like everyone we think of Iran as a war torn country because of the journalism we see. Thankyou for showing us what life there is really like.
well Iran is a big country with different ethnicities and everyone cooks differently, of course. Like my mother does not use that much oil or frying, and we prefer the healthier version of the foods. When we're sick, we cook soup with lots of veggies and we also have something called "chai-nabat". It's chai with nabat (crystalized sugar and saffron) which magically heals whatever ur suffering from.😂
Exploring iranian delicious foods and lovely people truly breaks down frontiers and stigmas. But what really brings it home is your enthusiasm and contagious personality, Thank you.

After watching the Egypt video, it's night and day how the culture is different. Despite the US having heavy sanctions on Iran, they still treat Americans with so much hospitality. Much respect and love.

"People are not their governments, people are people." Nailed it.
Actually if you think about it, the people have more power than the government.
It's just that the government have bias views of those who can be allowed to have firearms.
If the people can be armed then they will have power then they can take over the capital once again.
For example, one common bias is that women are weak (despite many being very strong)... and that Asians have small pp (despite many having big pp)

It was interesting to see him and his assistant talking in Farsi while delivering my baby. People are not their government. I had an Iranian college friend in California. She was so nice.
did you ever consider that the lies you've been fed about their government might not be true? Maybe look into it.
As a nurse I worked with one of the most beautiful Iranian ladies for years. Her kindness was top grade. Iran is one of the most incredible countries I've ever visited! Thank you for showing the real people of Iran so accurately, and not what their or other governments try to portray.

I'm deeply moved and I did not expect it! their honesty and hospitality is on another level, this has thought me a lot and Iranian people are beautiful seem very humble . the also have beautiful culture, foods and country my favorite video so far!

Yea because in their religion you must be hospitable. Like if some person shows up you your house you must let them in, feed and clothe them for 3 days and after those 3 days you may ask why they came. Bunch of nice folks
@Flower7 Of course, what do you mean? A lot of Indians travel to Iran and are treated well, why would the colour of the skin matter?
No it doesn't have anything to do with the religion it has to do with the culture. Persian culture is way older than Islam.

I was very fortunate to have Iranian family friends who were refugees from the late 70’s during the Iranian revolution part of our community growing up & who were family friends. Literally some of the kindest & most beautiful people. As a younger lady, it was mesmerized by the scents, cooking & beautiful jewelry-bangle’s & earrings & 40+yrs later they still influence me.

We might have to drive over there to visit and say hi, conveniently around dinner time. ;P
On the other hand, my best friend LOVES Korean cooking as well.

I see to many recipes involve frying, baking and grilling and mostly spicy, what do people eat when they are sick ?
well Iran is a big country with different ethnicities and everyone cooks differently, of course.
