R.I.P. to Burgess Meredith, Jack Lemmon, and Walter Matthau.
Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau were best friends and appeared in ten movies together. They are buried just a few feet from each other in the Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery in California.
OUT TO SEA?????? ARE YOU KIDDING???? This pair is the original "Odd Couple", Which is a movie you must react to now since you like these grumpy OLD men so much, The odd Couple is the Prequel (in a sense), kind of a "Grumpy Young Men" You'll love it!
Odd Couple 2 is one I can watch anytime

I agree, but these two really go way back, and the same way there is a strong argument to be made for watching movie franchises, like the MCU, Star Trek, or Star Wars films in release order, the same reasoning makes it advisable to watch movies from the old Hollywood movie star days, inorder of the stars filmographies. In point of fact, I was mistaken when I said that The Odd Couple was their first movie pairing. It was actually The Fortune Cookie, another worthy candidate for reaction, was the first. All in all they made 10 movies together.
It's so good. I'm 36 years old. My wife and I love these movies and constantly quote them! Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau were amazing and really miss their kind of chemistry.
I'm 70 & not stretching things when I say Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau have been working together for over 50 years on radio, films & TV. It's very difficult as an actor to act that kind of 'chemistry' so wonderfully, that you can see & feel it. Two actors either have it or they don't. These two, have it in spades.
The couch by the lake scene where the Dad dies is one of the best dad/son scenes in the movies. It feels so authentic like a real life moment. 💔
Sofia Loren is one of the most beautiful women of the world! My mother looked just like her... but this mobie makes me laugh and cry.. just a heartwarming flim.. rip to all the wonderful actors we lost in this flim and my mom who just loved watching these flims.
RIP Burgess Meredith. I think the original will always be my favorite, but they're both fantastic. The comedy is timeless, wholesome, and just plain fun.
If these are the only movies you saw this duo in (Matthau and Lemmon) you simply MUST see the original Odd Couple from 1968. It's terrific.
The look on Max's face as pops walks out of the restaurante "the morning after" always kills me

If you think Sophia Loren is a smoke show as an older woman, you should have seen her back in the day! The film Houseboat i believe with Cary Grant, bellissimo ❤
You need to watch Splash, where the daughter from this movie plays a mermaid! It has Tom Hanks and John Candy too!! Great Comedy!! Great reaction!! The bloopers at the end always crack me up!!
Jack Lemon was awesome. One Lemon movie I think you would find funny is My Fellow Americans with James Garner. About two former Presidents (opposing parties) that need to work together.
Your Patrons know their stuff if they suggested this one. This one of the most 90s movies ever. The outtakes are as good as the actual movie. This one is arguably funnier than the original, but they’re both great. Adding Sophia Loren was a great call.
I've always thought this one was funnier.
To the whiner I give you the Breakfast Club scene with Bender and Clarke: "Can you hear this? Do you want me to turn it up?"
The grocery store scenes were filmed a few blocks from my house at Cooper's Grocery on West 7th St. in St. Paul, MN.
There is an obscure old film called "The Last Chase" where Burgess Meredith ends up being the last Air Force pilot in a dystopian future. The government hires him to take out a target, but he does his own thing.
The Fortune Cookie was one of their first pairings, in 1966. Matthau won Best Supporting Actor for it.

Funny Movies, Both done a Comedy Movie back in the 60s/70s called THE ODD COUPLE 😂… The Blonde daughter is from STEEL MAGNOLIAS. and also is in the TOM HANKS movie SPLASH 💕👍

One of my favorite movies of all time, and I love your reaction to it. I have seen many of your videos now, usually on my phone so I'm unable to give a thumbs up but when I'm on desktop and I remember I always do. It's reactors like you that make watching these reactions a truly enjoyable experience because, as so many folks who grew up with a rural upbringing are, you're a very genuine person and I can tell when you're invested in a movie and really getting into it and I love that. Thanks for being you, James; you are a wonderful man with a tremendous sense of humor, and I really enjoy watching your videos.

@@brandimurray1984I ran into Walton Goggins right after 3 came out and I’d just watched it, so I spoke to him sbout it. I actually told him he’s going to be really successful if he keeps killing it like he was. That was before he had any big juicy roles.
