*I like that I can "fry" something on a whim! An oil fryer takes so much more time to clean and prepare **MyBest.Kitchen** a chore which usually kept me from frying all together. Also, the lack of needing oil to fry means that my family and I are eating healthier... while still enjoying the crispiness of fried foods.*
This video was fun to watch. You are genuine. I love that you show your personality and didn’t edit out when you mispronounced something. Great job. And I am now leaning toward this model even though I had my mind made up on a competitor’s unit.
Thanks for adding details like sound test, dimensions, and baking results! Would love to see more counter top oven reviews
I bought one of these and am waiting for it to arrive. You killed it on this video. I am a huge Ninja and Shark fan and will look forward to watching more of your videos on new products.
is it loud ?
I've seen a lot of reviews for Ninja products, but this made me really want to buy this oven. Great work!
Haha thank you! I genuinely love the oven. We use it more than our big one in the apartment.
@@PhilipLemoine Trial run with a pizza and cheese dripped on my lower element. How do I clean that??
🤣🤣🤣 I’LL BET!
I'm buying one tomorrow and that's why I'm reviewing this .
Thank you
Hi Philip, I am a new subscriber I am a 72 year old Filipina living here in Florida. I enjoy watching your videos, as a matter of fact I used your recipe for chocolate chip cookies, and you are absolutely right, it's the best chocolate chip cookies!! My husband loves it. I will be looking forward for more delicious food done in your new kitchen gadget. Keep up the great job you are doing, stay safe and God bless...
Hi Virginia! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch my videos and leave such a thoughtful comment. It really did make my day when I read it yesterday. I hope youre safe out there as well. Thank you so much again! Aloha!

My parents bought me one for my tiny house on Christmas. I love it and use it at least 3-4 times a week
Spoiled brat
The best review! Thank you os much from Israel! Nobody mentions of this oven is good for bred, not even Ninja itself! I tested and I can say: this is the best oven for all kinds of breads I ever had!
I’d LOVE the link to the cookies you spoke of. They look delicious!! Thank you for the wonderful review.
Here you go! ruclips.net/video/4kP0v0rXqfA/видео.html
@@PhilipLemoine Thank you!
Very good review! Answered all my OCD questions ;P I will be checking for more reviews. THANKS!
I just got one and my first meal in it is hot wings homemade french fries so excited
This device looks great! like i wann use it in the summer when the oven makes the kitchen too hot. but whew chile idk if i get the counter space for this beast lol
After looking at so many other air fryers, I think I'm going to put the trigger on this on. Thanks for your review. All air fryers make more noise, and this one seems the same. I like that the trays are more like a real oven, and not cheaply made like many others. I guess you kinda get what you pay for.
Another great video Philippe. Solid review , very informative. Keep up the great work.
Thanks buddy!
I got one for my wife and I wow very impressed. Your video made it a no brainer. Happy new year
I just got my Ninja Foodi XL Pro today and cooked a frozen pizza for lunch and pork chops for dinner and I DID NOT even notice the fan but I have a regular size convection oven and the fan is very noisy, so the ninja fan must be quieter. This is a great video. TFS.
Ty so much for the review. I ordered 1.
Great video.i just roasted a 13lb turkey in mine it came out great
Thank you for this! I’m researching appliances now as we’re planning on doing a bus conversion build. My husband wants to go electric with everything to avoid having propane and I’m trying to find the best option for a convection oven/air fryer. Cooking a small turkey has been my biggest question with every model I look at. This just sealed the deal for me :)
Very good description of this product you made me want to get one
This review was actually useful. Thanks!
That thing looks awesome. I love Ninja products.
Great video! The "ninji foodi" giggle is what made me sub haha 🤣🥰
10 seconds into the vid. the vibe was professional and silky, subbie ❤️
We have the smaller oven and love it. Excited for more capacity!
Have you cooked a pizza in it? Im wondering if the bottom came out crispy in your oven.
@@PhilipLemoine yes definitely crispy. We cook them on the air fryer basket!
@@PhilipLemoine I saw it at Walmart on display. Didn't like how flat it was.
Thanks for sharing! I've seen a lot of reviews on the Ninja as well as the Breville convection smart oven. However, I am leaning towards purchasing the the Ninja.
You should! I just brought mine it’s so good
Best review I’ve watched. Very thorough and informative. I want one! Forwarding this video to my husband! Early Merry Christmas to me! I want this for thanksgiving! Thank you Phillip!
Where’s the discount code so I can get one for a gift to family?
The chocolate chip cookie recipe is really good.
Philip - Great video! I have a few questions and comments:
Background: I have a 15 year old Aroma brand toaster oven that still works, it’s large and can be noisy when heating up but still performs well and gets almost daily use. However one day it will quit so I am doing research now and know I would like the air-fry and dehydration functions (although let’s face it, air-frying is just high heat with a strong convection!)
We recently got a Ninja Foodi blender (the “Power Pitcher system with the “smoothie bowl” attachment) and I have to say how impressed we are so far. Well built, performs amazing and came with everything you need and great instructions - They have that down!
BTW: My Aroma is 13 inches wide inside so being this is an inch wider it should accommodate some casserole dishes and the like depending on dishes side handles.
My questions:
Do you work for Ninja or did they just provide you with this oven and suggest what to cook in it?
Are you concerned with having the controls on the handle of the door, being that the handle will rest on your counter when you open it I wonder if they could get damaged after daily use?
Did the temp probe you used for the prime rib (looked so good...) come with the oven and if so, does it connect to the controls? I have plenty of probes I use on my smoker but just wondering....?
And thank you!
Great video! Does the light & fan stay on when you open the door to check on your food? Is a recipe book included? How strong are the hinges on this oven? Does the door flop down when you try to just slightly open it? What is the difference between the 8 in 1 model and the 10 in 1 model? Thanks for sharing!🙏
We've got this unit and it's amazing. 9:20 for the wings, that's usually how we do them. We're thinking about buying another air fry basket though so both sets get just as crispy.
Can you use an aftermarket thermometer? And if so do you lose any heat with the cord between the oven door? And does Ninja recommend?
Awesome review
Thanks AJ!
Keep up the awesome work. That prime rib looked tasty .
1 of my favorite videos unboxing the ninja foodi oven
I just bought this. I am interested in learning how to use it.
yees finally a new video 😍😍
Sorry! I been slackin! I got a great cooking one coming this week too!!
Sounds like a jet engine spooling up when you close the door! I kinda like the sound.
Hahaha it does! I do too! This was also on the Air Fry cooking function which is their highest convection fan speed setting.
Wow that AirFryer is dope! The way you tossed the book was so hilarious 😂. I think it's time for me to upgrade my a/f though because this Ninja is a beauty😍. Excellent review👍🏾👍🏾
Its SO DOPE! Its my first air fryer too! We seriously dont use our big oven anymore and just use the Ninja! Thanks for watching!!
Hi do you know what is the interior material of the oven? Thanks :)
Excellent review can I rotisserie a chicken?
Foil on the crumb tray is not recommended, but what about silicone oven liners? That would help with the cleanup and would be a great help if they are safe.
Thanks for your video bro, i have a question, do you know if you can change from Farenheit to Celcius?
How well is it if you're just constantly baking? My mother seems to always make her own bread or conchas for our family and it's delicious.
My family has this and I love cooking in it
The max Holloway of cooking, good review
Great video👍
Great review! What kind of pizza was that?
It was a Safeway Select Brand pizza. Thank you!
Thank you for the demo, Have you tried cooking Frozen Chicken Breasts? If you have did you have a specific temp and time or the pre settings Ninja sets? Thank you. Also what is the differance between the Air Fry and Air Roast?
Hey Phillip, do you know if you can stack one of these ovens on top of another (i.e., I want to use 2 of them for baking my macarons that I sell & wonder if I can put one on top of the other)?
BTW - the DT251 with the thermometer is no longer available. Ninja seems to have removed it for sale everywhere. Makes me wonder if it has some recall issues.
I think it is sold out. It was on Amazon this morning as a lightning deal and sold out in like 15 minutes! Now I can't seem to find it anywhere as well.
The reheat feature , can you use this to reheat food like in a microwave? Say milk for cereal? Thank you
Fan is only that loud when it's ramping up at first. It goes to a quieter speed when it's just maintaining a temperature.
Good video!
Hi, Philippe, o bought this machine. I just found when I bake the cake or duck fat pastry, I followed the receipt, the temperature and the bake time, but the products seem not good. I don’t know why.
Does this thing have dual (top and bottom) elements?
Can it be used as a simple microwave? Just want to reheat my coffee too many times
Do you use the same temperature for baking in the ninja oven compared to a regular oven?
Would a 15x10 inch lasagna pan fit in this? 15" long x 10" across. Thanks for the info. I am looking at one of these and wondering how big of pan will fit inside this.
I'm thinking of picking this unit up very soon, but wondering if the case gets hot when its in the cooking process or does it remain warm. I had a prvious Cuisinart oven that remained cool to the touch during the cooking process and I also had a PC Compliments toaster over that got too hot to touch...
Hi! This is a really nice review. Just wanted to ask, is it totally safe to put aluminum foil in the trays? That’s how we usually do it with our (very) old traditional oven 😅 Thanks!
Thank you. At 7:35 I talk about the foil.
@@PhilipLemoine oooh there. yikes! haha thanks!
Can you use parchment paper in the oven?
Très intéressant j’espère avoir beaucoup de conseils
Just got one .how long would i cook ch8cken drumsticks and tempature .
It’s fine to make pizza directly on the sheet pan, DO NOT place the pan on a lower rack with the pizza on a wire rack above it because that will just block the heat and the pizza won’t cook so evenly. Butter the pan or smear with olive oil for extra flavor and better baking results. Also (on page 14) the instruction manual actually RECOMMENDS either greasing accessories with butter or oil or covering with either parchment paper OR aluminum foil, just do not cover the roast tray.
Doesn't the book also clearly say not to use anything other than the recommended oils (butter and olive oil are excluded.)
i did bye one but did not came with no cook book like you got. how do i get one?
what are the trays made of i want to avoid PFAs no teflon or other non stick.
What brand of pizza did you cook? That looks great 👍
I just got that gonna try it for the first time today 🤩 steaks marinating as we speak
1 month later Update: omg I’m obsessed! I’ve fried, reheated, defrosted, baked food and a cake, two racks… Yasss. Lol literally all you can need. 100 recommend. Just make sure you stick to the recommended oil to avoid oil burning and smoking … it’s awesome
Is it safe to use different pan for baking the cake?
@@jaybee1086 you can use any of your bakeware that wil fit into the oven.
Are there two 10 in 1 ovens? One oven and one Air Fryer? Or is it one and the same? Thanks
Did the oven smoke any time you were using it?
Dag Nabbit!!!! We got a Ninja Foodi Deluxe 6 months ago!!!! How can I justify getting this to my wife!! Please help!! hehe. no really! Help! OH and great thorough review! (where a Ninja family we have the Coffee Bar, Ninja Mega Kitchen Blender, Shark Vacuum and Ninja Foodi XL) Love all there stuff.
Had to put it on 1.5. you taking your sweet time lol
You said you can't cover anything in aluminum foil. Does that include baking things in aluminum foil, like pies or other kinds of foil pans?
How did you get the oven clean? That's what every owner of this oven wants to know!
can it do proofing?
where is the link to the cookie dough recipe please?
Hi thanks for the great review. It does not looks that there is a rotisserie kit with this appliance nor is it compatible for using one. How would you do roast chicken in this case without the rotisserie kit that would normally use to rotate the chicken?
You don’t need a rotisserie because the circulating air cooks the chicken from all sides.
I appreciate your video with all this information. We just got our Ninja Foodi XL on Sunday but haven't used it yet which is why I was watching your video to try to learn all about it. I do have one little comments I'd like to add, with all respect. I have a hearing disability and while I wear hearing aids and can hear your video, the one thing that has always bugged me when watching videos is when people put music in the background. It is SOOOO annoying and distracting to the narrative being offered. I tuned in to your video because I wanted to hear what YOU had to say about this Ninja - I didn't want to listen to music. Oftentimes the audio isn't as clear as it could be and when there's music in the background, it takes away from the presentation. Other than that, thank you for posting the video....it was very helpful.
Do you have the cod cookie recipe?
What function can I cook pies and sausage in
Does this work as a microwave oven too?
Will it fit a duck for roasting?
Sine electricity price is increasing we are looking for alternative traditional oven. Thank you for review
Man I wish I had a room in my kitchen!!
Does it scratch easily like the Instant Omni Plus? I am not buying the Omni because it wears out really fast with lots of scratch marks on inside and on trays. The wear and tear of it is too soon. So, I am wondering about this Ninja.
I would like you to cook a cake 🙏🏻💗 thanks for such excellent content
You never really covered the smart temp feature of the DT251, as opposed to the DT201 without it.
Save your money . Get the DT201 and purchase a digital temp. gauge with wire probe. Oxo has a good one, has lasted me for years so far. Plus I use it in my conventional oven and BBQ outside.
@philiplemoine Trial run with a pizza and cheese dripped on my lower element. How do I clean it off? 😞
It's been two months. Did you ever remove the cheese from the lower element? How hard was it to remove?
Is this big enough too cook a large turkey?
Hey, you were the person doing the support videos on the Ninja Foodi Pro Air Oven.
its me!
@@PhilipLemoine, You replied!
I thought a jet plane was landing in your kitchen - when you opened the oven door.
lol
It's no louder than the ancient OTR microwave we have. I can't hear my spouse talking in in there with me.
I have one of these and love it but there are some things I found difficult. First I need to know how to use only the top or bottom heaters and the instructions do not really give that kind of information. The fan causes problems with baking some breads because it is always on which results in one side or end of the bread drying out quicker than the other side. I would have really liked to have full details on the various functions. Air frying is the only setting that does not really need any details but I would exactly what the grill function is and how it works. Or roast versus whole roast cooking in real detail. Trial and error works great but is very time-consuming. I am still learning how to get my bread bake better. The video was well-made and very informative and I would really like to see a follow-up after he has used it for a year or more.
Is it recommended to have something under the oven to protect counters, specifically quartz counters?
No
Was there a discount code?
I did not know about different models I just bought 200xl model after my cuisinart died over Thanksgiving. The DT200 xl model is 50 degrees off. I check with another reviewer who bought the machine. (No bias). He got same issue. Very disappointed. I need to bake at 450 and can’t with this oven
Nice
That is much louder than my Oster convection toaster oven. I wonder if the production model is quieter. Though I'd probably be able to block it out, the fan on my bread maker is SO loud.
Im wondering if the audio is "loud" because I have a directional microphone on my camera pointed straight at the oven though haha. When I open it when its running full blast it does sound like a an airplane about to take off.
I'm sure it is, ambient noise will likely drown it out. Be interesting to see if they have the sones or decibels anywhere.
Can the fan be turned off?
where did the prob come from???
Very good video nice and simple and very professional. It looks like you work at the Ninja headquarters or like your the CEO of Ninja.
