    Love Mine!! Yes, cleaning is a pain but I just wipe at every use and just give it a deep clean later just like an oven. Spray baking soda, vinegar, and dawn and let sit for a few and wipe.

    I live in a very tiny studio with limited counter space, but I had room for a dedicated space for small Ikea Island and the Ninja fits well on it. I also bought the cutting board to place top of the unit and that gives me space to place cooked food taken from the oven. Love it!!!!!

    Thank you so much for this video. I've been waiting for you to review this oven. Of course, there are already some reviews and cooking videos about this Ninja but I really appreciate your way of testing and rating. I'm not so much worried about the cleaning, if you don't let the grease "burn in" and you put a dish with water, vinegar, dish soap in the oven let it warm up to the point where it produces some steam (don't boil it), you wait for like 15 minutes (depending on how greasy the oven really is perhaps a bit longer). Then you can just clean it with a soft microfibre cloth or whatever you have just don't scratch the surface in order to speed things up. Not a good idea and not at all necessary. With a bit of steam all comes off just fine.
    Would love to see a review of the HY Sapientia 22 L Dual Zone Air Fryer Oven. It's not on German market as of yet but it IS interesting. It doesn't take up too much space and can cook small (without having to heat up all 22 liters of space) or large portions using the full capacity.

    I had the older model of this. Had being the operative word. I loved that it did everything, but to clean it after doing a roast or roasting a chicken was such a pain in the behind. If they made it self cleaning then I would consider again. Also, I did not like the controls on the handle. I had to pull it all the way forward so the controls didn’t hit the counter. Love you guys!

    Hi guys! My real oven conked out, I think it was just a blown fuse, so I started relying on my medium sized (non-digital) toaster oven and stove top for making my meals. Unfortunately, there was no on/off switch and all I could do was let the dial-timer time out. So shortly after using it as a full-time oven daily, it too stopped working.
    Anyway, someone advertised the same Ninja that you reviewed and was asking $180, and he said it is brand new. I asked if he'd accept $150, and we agreed on $160. In his ad he linked your review and after agreeing to buy it (today is Thursday, and I pick it up on Friday), I then watched your review... duh! Lol. Your review was terrific and made me know that I had made the right decision. Although I am a little worried about the size a d the cleaning. But after reading all of the comments on your review, I plan on following a couple of recommendations such as tinfoil and cleaning after every use (ha! Like that'll last). Well, thanks again for posting such an informative review and I'm now subscribed to your channel and looking forward to watching your other reviews. Best wishes to both of you! 😍

    Just discovered this channel and I'm loving it. You keep it real, simple and clear in your reviews. As a fellow Canuck I think you guys need to use hockey players as your rating system as in this case you would give it a Sidney Crosby (*87) which actually does it justice. I'm going to buy this actual oven up today because of this review and my need to upgrade my old ass and tired toaster oven which will be given a viking funeral as it served me very faithfully for the past 8 years of bachelor living.

    Hey hope all is well with you! I JUST bought this Air Fry Oven and your video was the reason why i bought it in the first place so thank you so much for the review! now that we are well into June of 2024, how has this same unit been? Did the interior get dirtier and harder to clean? I had a Chefman toaster oven that just recently died which was EXTREMELY annoying to scrub due to the rack grooves. Do you still rate it an 8.7? Did you also find any other caveats or inconveniences after this vid has been posted? Much appreciated for your response! And thank you again for making such a detailed video!

Unsure which one to go for, I do like the idea of the extra functions in the combi for cooking however I’m just slightly concerned by its smaller size and can’t find any information about the exact internal oven size. I am currently torn between this Ninja Foodi XL and the KitchenAid KCO124BM (the one on your back counter). Any advice? It mainly comes down to size - I love that I could cook so much more in the Ninja, but it's soo big - not really a counter space saving concern, but rather it's so obtrusive in my small kitchen. I would actually be using this as a substitute for my main oven, not for toast/bagels. I estimate if I had the Ninja I would be using it about 80% of the time (20% using my full deck oven) and if I had the KitchenAid 65% of the time (35% using my full deck oven). While I have always generally preferred using a toaster for toast/bagels/English muffins/etc., if one of these does a great job at toasting I would consider getting rid of my toaster to save space.
    Any and all advice is appreciated, thanks!

    • @TheAverageKitchen
      @TheAverageKitchen  8 месяцев назад +1

      For me it's simple: The NInja has a better price tag, and if that means 80% of your cooking vs 65%, then it's even better value for you personally. I love the Ninja since I've started using it, and i know Marc loves the KitchenAid. They're both great, but why spend more? Hope this helps! - J

    I've read a lot of comments elsewhere that this product is really tough to clean and also that the displays on the handle fade away and completely disappear pretty quickly which is not great (like in months, not years), and so that is a definite pitfall for this machine. Looks great though. Were you ever able to clean up the smudging on the outside of the appliance that you complained about at the beginning of your video? Thanks for the review.

    • @TheAverageKitchen

    Certainly hope this is better than their first oven that they came out with! Within weeks after purchasing it all of the lettering and writing on the control panel came off they sent out a sticker. It’s not the same. You can’t really wipe a sticker off, especially one that is paper. Other than that I absolutely love my ninja products. Just wish they could’ve A lot better with their control panel.

    Othe only function I use on mine is the spit roast which this one doesn’t have. Every thing else cooks better in my 3D fan oven. I make my own bread that also cooks in my top oven with no fan. I don’t eat breads out of polythene but I am sure a conventional toaster is a lot less faff.

    Not brand new. This is the OG been out for a while and has been replaced by the prestige (at least in the US). Has it broken down on you yet? I bought one 3 years ago it completely stopped working about 6 months later. A year after that, I bought another. It's still going a year later, but barely, the fan quit working for convection and airfry a month or so after purchase, and it hasnt come to temp since either. I have to set it way higher, so it's pretty much useless except for broil, toast, and reheat because I can't control the temp really.
