For those of you who doubt the Ninja “brand”, listen up. I have been using both my Ninja Crockpot system (slow cook, sauté, bake +++) AND my Ninja Blender system (blender, crusher, smoothie maker +++) 2-3 times a week for 5 years and both are still going strong! I live in a small space and so real estate in my kitchen is priceless and I hold my wallet close to my heart. As with everything else, I research for months and was down to these 2 air fryers. Once again Freakin Reviews came through! Joining the lineup this Christmas is this Ninja Air-fryer! Thank you! I really want those scissors too! Where is the link?
I think the 300 watt difference is what’s making it do so well, combined with the smaller area for preheating. While they both eventually get the food cooked (the 360 taking about a 1/3 to 1-2 longer on average), then you have more power consumption for the same amount of food vs the ninja, despite the higher wattage it is being used for much less time. Also, the longer the food is cooking, the more moisture is cooked out of the food. Such as with the chicken and broccoli, the quicker the chicken is cooked to desired doneness, the chicken is less likely to dry out. Great review! I hope I have room for this under my abnormally low cabinets. I have a standard $40 black and decker 4-slice toaster oven I got 3 years ago and getting kinda tired of how unevenly it cooks. I don’t ever cook taller items in it, so I think the short form factor of the ninja won’t be a problem for me. If I have bigger things then I can use my apartment’s oven (it is a compact oven range, and the temp gauge seems to be off by around 30 degrees, but it does just fine).
@@icytower38 I've really been considering getting one. I genuinely use my toaster oven/counter top oven daily - and far more often than my actual oven. I had upgraded to a nicer kitchen aid counter oven but they released their expensive air dry, dehydrator, etc oven a few months after. So I've really been debating which to upgrade to the new kitchen aid or Ninja. What has been your experience with doing meats and stuff like that? Like in my counter top oven I have right now it's probably as tall as the power air fryer in this video. I can make 3 chicken breasts at a time, meat loaf, burgers, tender loin, etc. I can't fit a whole chicken in it though. Have you had good success with doing meats? I do like that the Ninja seems much faster than any counter top oven I've been able to find. I know he likes his toast and other things a lot more crispy than I do. Do you find that it cooks too fast or it's harder to control darkness/crispiness/burning? Sorry if this is a lot of questions. Thank you for any help or answers you can provide. I hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy during this crazy time ❤️
As someone who sells appliances, it was really obvious from the start that the Ninja would work better. A very basic principle of air fryers is maintaining heat and high airflow. The Ninja has a higher wattage element and a smaller total volume to heat. The smaller volume also means it needs to move air less relative to the Power to get the same results. This is why "basket" style air fryers work almost universally better than oven style ones, but the same goes for a tiny oven versus a large oven.
This is actually a helpful reply, because I was thinking about maybe getting the Ninja with the dual baskets (or any other basket air fryer over 4l volume), but I've seen a lot of people use this oven one before and I really only need an air fryer for things like chips (French fries), dumplings, pasta crisps and maybe some (vegan) dino nuggets. I was worried that maybe the basket ones wouldn't have as good of an air flow as this oven style, but I have to say, I saw someone from the UK just review the new stackable dual zone Ninja vs the regular one with wider chips (French fries) like he used here and even the ones from the stackable Ninja looked more evenly crispy than from the Ninja oven (and the stackable one is not as good as the side by side one, probably because the air flow comes in from the back and not the top like it does in the side by side one)(edit, they were air fried for 12 minutes in both dual machines). Your comment and all the reviews I've been watching today have really helped me, thank you!
I recently got the Ninja as a Christmas gift and even with my limited use so far, I love it. The fact that it preheats *SO FAST* is really what does it for me. I'm so used to my old toaster oven's preheat times that I often am not even fully prepared by the time its fully preheated! Its my first time having an air fryer, and I'm very happy with it so far.
I bought my Ninja Foodi exclusively for the flip up feature -- ABSOLUTELY NO GIMMICK if you've got limited counter space. I loved my huge toaster oven but it took up so much space. Very nice to have the ability to flip it up and regain an 18" width of counter space when cooking/dicing/mixing, etc. Downside: ONLY MINIMAL HEIGHT ITEMS UNDER ~2" (👎🏽). & tighter area to clean, although the bottom/floor pivots down when vertical to access entire inside. Another great review, brother.
Looks great, functions great, and highly recommended. The buttons are touch (not pressure activated "touch"), which was a nice detail ruclips.net/user/postUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB Perfect size for normal every day meals, and it cooks food very thoroughly. On preset settings upon first use, it cooked my chicken breasts to a crisp. Boarder line too dry, so next time I'll either decrease temperature or time. Not a bad thing, just a minor adjustment for next time. No oil was used, so food was clean to the touch. Excited to see how other meals will turn out. Will recommend to friends and family in the future!
15:15 I do it all the time in the oven. As long as the chicken is in fairly small chunks (no bone-in thighs, in other words) it can roast with most vegetables just fine. Carrots and potatoes need a little more time, so I'll put them in for a few minutes alone first then toss in the chicken.
Yeah I do it as a single guy for meal prep. In other words people doing a large batch and having it for lunch for 2-3 days out of the week.. Along with fyi, eating healthy has more benefits. I had for 3 months straight, than tried fast food and it made me physically sick.
Direct cooking comparisons can be a bit skewed mainly due to the machines likely being different wattage and the distance the food is from the heating element. They both seem like very solid devices. I like that the ninja is so compact and can flip up
It's obvious that the Ninja will heat up faster because it is 300 watts stronger than the Air Fryer so heat up time is not a fair comparison. How it cooks after the warm-up period is a fair test.
Thank you for pointing out the obvious to everyone who can't seem to grasp it has nothing to do with size, and becasue clearly the ninja holds more food
@@Ea-Nasir_Copper_Co a oven will keep heating and maintaining the temperarure all the time. So once that space is heated up, they are all standing on the same start line
Nice review. One aspect you may have overlooked: The Ninja fryer is rated at 1800W, which is at the edge of the common 15A (Ampere) circuit (14-gauge in-wall wire in modern homes) if your line voltage is 120V AC. (simplistic arithmetic, 1800/120 = 15). Since line voltage varies, and it is often less than 120V, it is possible to overload the wiring circuit. More often than not that will be a non-event, for a small overload. But it may trip a breaker (or blow a fuse) from time to time, as long as the circuit is protected. In any case, make sure there are no other loads on that circuit or, even better, use a 20A circuit (12-gauge electric wire, protected with a larger capacity breaker). The 360 is rated at 1500W, which is a more conservative, tamer proposition, even if marginally a disadvantage in your review. If you rate cook time, please do consider power consumption and power efficiency. There are easy to use devices that can measure power consumption at a kitchen outlet.

We had the power XL 360 air fryer first, and were satisfied with it. Then Costco had the Ninja air fryer on sale, and I decided to take a flyer on it and expected I'd probably return it that it wouldn't be any better. Wow was I wrong! My experience was pretty much the same as we saw in this review. The ninja fast preheating is a game-changer! Instead of walking away for 5 or 10 minutes waiting for preheat you just continue getting ingredients ready and then bam! The ninja is ready. It Cooks frozen pizzas so nicely, they taste so good and fast too. When you're hungry and you want tasty and fast, the ninja is the bomb! I also like that it toasts very well, so I don't need a toaster. The power xl360 just didn't toast well enough where I felt like I could forgo having a separate toaster. The Ninja toast just fine and is simple to use. I didn't expect there would be much difference between the two, but the Ninja really wowed me. I have a lightly used power XL 360 for sale..
I have the ninja and use it every day. It’s amazing... love it!!! Also, I do use the flip up function. I have limited counter space, so I love having the option to flip it up and have the counter space when needed.
Well done on the review, as always. I use my original Power Air Fryer (purchased it in part thanks to your review way back when). When I have to replace it, it's nice to know that the form factors and features have continued to improve (but I have zero complaints about my original purchase and plan to use it for a long time).
I LOVE my Ninja!!! Just got it recently and trying out different recipies and everything is coming out amazingly!!!! I'm soooo happy with this purchase!!!
"Air fry" is just a made up term for a convection oven. The only difference is it has a small fan to blow the heat around the oven to reduce hot spots and speed cooking.
@@ssmodk I was wondering abut these. I've had a convection toaster oven for a number of years now and I love it. I'm sure I paid way, way less for it than these "new" air fryer ovens.
@@ssmodk The Ninja ovens I've seen actually have a pretty large fan in them compared to other convection ovens - also they do an excellent job of temperature control - also since they're 1800 watts they heat up very quickly compared to others. I've had a convection microwave oven for over 15 years now, I've probably used it 10 times as a convection oven because it does a very poor job at cooking stuff. The temp control and air movement and nice build quality is what you're paying for. But yes, if I want to make a pizza, I can preheat my normal oven, wait 15 mins for it, then cook it according to the box and it comes out perfect - but it's also nice to be able to preheat in 2 mins and then cook it and have it come out perfect. Not everyone is on welfare and some of us value our time.
Thank you for demonstrating cooking different foods. I recently purchased the Ninja and especially like the flip feature. I did roast a Cornish Hen, and although it turned out well I think cleanup might be easier in the Ninja Foodi Grill. I want to keep the elements on my oven as clean as possible. I do like that the oven is easy to clean when flipped and the back is removed. Great video, thanks!
Was agonizing over which toaster oven to get, saw the Foodi online, stumbled on your excellent and thorough review. You've made the decision for me--Foodi it is. Thanks!
Great product. Quick and easy. I had some moisture in a 'water proof' watch and and used the dehydrate setting to get rid of the moisture when nothing else seemed to work.
I’d be curious to see these same tests but simply move the food trays up to a higher position on the air fryer 360 and see if being a bit closer to the top heating elements improves its performance any.
Exactly! 360 will still take longer to preheat due to lower wattage and larger capacity, but moving food closer to the element will make it brown more quickly. I don't quite get the obsession with foods browning. If fries are cooked and crispy what does the color matter? To me the French toast and broccoli done in the ninja both looked burnt.
@@shish_taouk Charred broccoli just doesn't do it for me, French fries don't matter to me as long as they're cooked and somewhat crisp. I'm aware of searing meat to keep the juices in but that's supposed to be done quickly otherwise meat can be tough and/or overcooked.
Love mine! I'm a trucker so I needed a shorter oven. Only drawback I've found is it's too short for a meatloaf pan. Bread pan fits but don't put in so much dough it rises over the top.
I wish you had also reviewed what you thought of the quality of the machines - how solid do they feel, do the controls feel sturdy, how much noise do they make when cooking, how much heat do they emit., what is the warranty of each and what is customer service like to deal with if you have a problem..? In other words, do they feel like a quality product, built to last for many years - or several months...? Thanks.
I live alone, and usually cook for just myself, and I use a toaster oven almost daily. I have no opinion on the Power Air Fryer, as I've never used it. But I've been using the Ninja Foodi Air Fry Oven for almost nine months, and I must say it does a great job. I have absolutely no complaints.
I’ve invested in many ninja product, the bigger multi function oven, the multi pot, a pan set and food processor. I swear by ninja. I said invested in as the products are expensive, but they work brilliantly and have lasted me for years.
We got the ninja thing a few weeks ago, cause we got a defective power air fryer pro, we leave it folded up when not in use and it fits under the cabinets perfectly when folded up so it’s great because we don’t have room for another microwave sized gadget on the counter, baked and warmed everything from cake to hot pockets and I like the look of the ninja better
I was on the Emeril 360 page with an air fryer in my cart and CC plugged in, found a promo code for 25% off!!! Just before I hit purchase I thought, Let me look up some reviews..19 min later I'll be shopping for a Ninja! Thanks for the Superb Review!!!
One thing to consider. The older machine might not be getting as hot as it once did when new. I have kept a small convection oven for small things for years. I'm on my 3rd one now, and found the more used they were, the longer it took to cook stuff.
I have the Ninja and really like it. My favorite is the air roast sheet pan meals. You get better with time and experience on time and temp. settings. Its great for what I want in a counter top oven.
Good review, but I do agree with those who pointed out the placement of the food in reference to the heating element. I've been researching air fryers for over a year now and want to finally get one. Since I want to bake cakes, pastries and breads, I am thinking the 360 is the better choice for me, not to mention the rotisserie option.
I bought the Ninja Foodi for myself for Christmas. Myself, husband and three teenagers love it. It gets used everyday for various foods an settings. I bought it at Kohl's on sale and then also got Kohl's cash back. With those savings it was super inexpensive. It also is so convenient. We fold it up after it cools and it is out of the way. Great purchase!!!
i was afraid that i could replace my 4 toast toaster because of the quickness and ease of use, but the ninja heats up so fast and so much easier and takes up less space because of the flip up function, i love it
I bought this Ninja because of this video. Excellent product, so much more speed and consistency than my previous toaster oven. I've used every accessory and every cooking mode except dehydrate. I do keep it flipped up and out of the way. Love the bottom door for access to cleaning.
Definitely a difference in taste preferences. The pizza cooked in the Ninja looked a little over done (not bad though) and fries looked good. Everything else cooked in the Ninja looked over done to me...especially the toast and broccoli. Personally I would rather have to cook something a little longer than the recommended time rather than it coming out burnt.
I've had my Ninja Foodi Air Fryer Oven for over 3 weeks and I haven't turned my oven on once. And yes, I use the flip up feature as as it cools and says FLIP. I love having the counter space back. The sheet pan meals are the best.
I remember being turned off by the name Ninja, perceiving the company as subpar vs. the top established Brands, but they really make some quality products.
I take calls on this item from TV ads, and I appreciate your thoroughness in your two reviews, and also the comparison between it and the Ninja. Very helpful indeed!
I believe that the 360 should have been set at 5% - 10% higher temperature for the same duration of time to adjust for the difference in the wattage between the two ovens. Theoretically that should have eliminated the need to cook the food with the 360 longer. Any interest in testing out this theory?
The wattage of the oven should not matter, except for speed reaching the desired temperature. The temperature is the temperature. If one has to modify the cooking temperatures or times, then there's a problem with the product.
SUPER helpful. I wasn't even thinking about the Ninja in my toaster oven replacement search. I wanted the Power Oven to be "the one", but I've seen a few reviews that are turning me.
Ninja wins! Yay! I'm getting me a Ninja air fyer oven, I been waiting for this review to get one now its confirmed I'm getting one. Thanks James for the awesome review.
food has to be really flat. the exterior gets really hot. the only part that doesn't get hot is the touch screen and the door handle. you can't put a whole chicken or roast in it.

The Ninja oven is my oven of choice. I do more baking and roasting and it's an awesome counter top oven. I highly recommend it, and the results are spot on consistent.
Before seeing this video I had pretty much made up mind to buy the Air Fryer 360 but watching this has changed my mind. Looks like I will be getting the Ninja Foodie. I do like the it folds up to get out of the way when not in use. The only plus that I saw for the 360 was rotisserie which honestly I probably wouldn't use that often anyway. So glad I saw this video. Keep up the great reviews James 👍
I like the Ninja but I wonder if it's better performance might be totally due to its form factor. It's half the volume of the PAFO so with a similar sized heating coil it's going to do better. but you give up a lot of flexibility by going that slim. It's almost like it's a horizontal toaster at this point. That said, I do like the flip-up storage.
got the ninja for 179 at target and an additional 20% off with card / wheel. awesome buy. big but not monstrously huge. the flip up feature is nice. its lower profile lets the food be closer to the heating elements so its going to always beat a toaster / boxy shaped oven every time at the cost of no rotisserie which i didnt envision myself using so no loss there. it wont fit a standard muffin pan or casserole dish as the handles end up making them about 1/2 inch too wide. its about 12.5 x 12.5 opening so you'd have to buy the special made ones or find knockoffs that fit.
I like the look of the ninja, with the sweet display and the tilt storage. But the PAF has more space which makes it more versitile for me. But I have a shockingly nice $15 toaster oven. I don't need another product.
Thank you for reviewing these two air fryers. I have a small traditional round air fryer, I love it, but it is smaller than a toaster oven size. I was considering purchasing the Power Air Fryer Oven 360, after this review, I will be purchasing the Ninja Foodi Air Fry Oven.
I'm so glad I stumbled upon this! As much as I was impressed with the ninja and already have the foodi 8 in 1 and use it constantly, I really love the rotisserie option on the 360 for beef roast and pork as well as chicken. It would be really great for using almost as a salamander keeping food warm and small 2 person or 3 person meals. But that ninja is rocking too and I'm already a believer in their products. Thank you so much for the review!
It’s the wattage. 1800 vs 1500. And the smaller “chamber” doesn’t hurt either. The Ninja should heat up faster and hotter if you use equal times. I definitely noticed difference in my smaller 700 watt microwave vs 1000 watt larger one. I was constantly adjusting cook times.
Thanks for the review James. I didn't really need another air fryer, but not being able to fit a whole pizza on the smaller racks was a PIA. My Ninja oven arrived today!
I got Emeril's air fryer too!! Lol but glad to know they aren't targeting us...at all...not the teensiest bit. 😳😕🤣 PS...IF they had paid attention to James, they would know we are all interested in the Ninja now.
The Ninja probably uses less because it's a smaller interior, thus heat isnt radiating but is direct. It's like comparing a toaster oven to your full oven, the toaster will use less to toast bread, because its smaller.
@@aurthorthing7403 Those ratings are peak power usage when the elments are on. They tend to turn on and off during a cooking cycle. The ninja also registered a lower tempature on the exterior which leads me to beleive it is better insulated. This plays a huge role in overall effeciency/ kWh.
@@aurthorthing7403 The Ninja also cooks faster and is therefore on for a shorter period of time. It still may use more juice but I'll happily take my food being cooked better and faster as a tradeoff.
Thank you freakin reviews! I recently got a ninja air foodie thanks to your review and after a few weeks I love it! It's replaced both my toaster oven and oil fryer. Only a few things so far it doesnt do as well as my old oil fryer!
Correct. If you follow directions for one and not for the other you have loaded the deck. On is more constructed do taller Items but none of them were used. Using your methodology a roast or halved chicken sowed have been put in and watch the burning begin. Obviously made for different uses.
Meat and veg mixed together before cooking together is fine, the issue comes if you are prepping your veg with the same utensils as raw meat... That being said...
The instructions with my Ninja (same as yours) say to add the broccoli after the chicken has cooked partly. Root vegetables go in at the same time as the chicken.
Oh James, this hurts to watch. I've always been a fan of the power air fryer, specially the first version that you reviewed, and seeing the little brother of it being smashed by a ninja product burns my skin. Can't wait for your update video in a couple months.
James - I STRONGLY recommend that you seriously consider reviewing the widely advertises and most interesting June Oven. It seem to be about the most technologically advanced small oven available - what with the camera IN the oven that recognizes the food you want to cook, etc. Please do it!
I like its current height. It flips up for more counter space when not in use. Making it taller will give you less counter space when stored, so I'm not too worried about not being able to cook a chicken in there.
I have a ninja miniature blender that I got from amazon for $36 and it has been great. I don’t want to sound like a fanboy, but I would be convinced with ninja products.
Long time viewer here. Yesterday, my mom called me to see if I knew about the Ninja brand. She was looking at this oven as their old, simpler toaster oven is on the brink of death and the Foodi was on sale. I remembered that you had reviewed it years ago, so I sent her your review. She was very happy and she has a brand new Ninja Foodi Oven! 😊
Where is the dehydrator test? Also, I think it's important to let your viewers know what the materials are made of in the products you review. Is the door plastic or glass, and are the pans ceramic coated, or old, non-stick coated? These things definitely are determining factors in whether or not I purchase a product.
I watched your review and loved it give you a 5 star rating on your review. Talked my daughter about it . Guess what she got me one. I love it is easy to cook with and clean up is easy. its not like the barrel kind with so many gadgets and a 4 page review on don't dos which is scary. Its cooks exactly as you say and I would rate it 10 stars if I could made my life so easy and its easy to understand Ty for your review , but since i got as a gift can not let them know about how much in love with there product i am, pass this on to them for me. Got the Ninja sp1
I have been thinking of getting the Power AFO, but after watching your review I think the Nina AFO would suit my needs better. Thanks for another great review. I just wished you tried broiling a steak in both ovens.
Stuff like French toast , toast and fries I won't cook in air fryers , I'm old fashion , I deep fry my fries in 5 minutes , toast in a toaster and french toast in a frying pan and will be done alot faster , I would probably only use it to reheat or make pizzas or do a pan meal like your chicken and broccoli but that's just me 😁✌✌👍
This was a very helpful video. I was considering the Power Air Fryer 360, but it's clear to me, the Ninja Foodi is the one for me. Thank you James White !!!!
Another great review. Am I the only one freaked out that James uses fake maple syrup? That stuff is just corn syrup. James you should try real maple syrup. The stuff that comes from trees. It is a little more expensive but much healthier and also tastes way better.
I'd rather the big oven. Not everybody wants to spatchcock a bird and there are other things like ham or meatloaf that need the real estate. Even a baked potato shouldn't be so close to the elements unless you like it raw in the middle and black on the outside. I don't care if the Ninja cooks frozen fries and frozen pizza faster. The only benefit I see is speed on low riding items and reduced versatility due to the space factor. ...and leaning the Ninja up against the wall when your done...? Really? ...there's and chef's dream... 😕 ...but then again, whatever pleases you. I personally need the real estate to cook real meals so I would vote for Power Air Fryer. ...it's still less energy than a conventional oven which is my main reason to buy such a product anyways...plus the rotisserie is great.
2 year old review and you still convinced me. I've been in the market for a toaster oven and was considering the air fryer attachment for my instant pot but changed my mind after seeing several reviews and looking at reviews for this air fryer. I used to own a cheap toaster oven that would set things on fire so this is a major upgrade, LOL. Can't wait to give update.
To be honest I have not used it as much as I thought and it takes getting used to. I've made some pizzas and baked some veggies and of course lots of toast. I tried to make wings the air fry way but it started smoking and set the smoke alarm off so I'm not sure if I just don't know how to use it or only certain things can be air fried LOL. I takes getting used to because it does have limited space above the food. With fall incoming I want to try the baking feature. Hope you like it.
Hey James! I really enjoy your reviews. I have the 360 oven and have to say that you should be using different rack placements depending on what you're cooking. For example most of what you cooked could have been put at the "broil" rack level to make it a more fair comparison. By using the middle rack you're giving the 360 a disadvantage over the ninja where the food is always super close to the heat source. Sorry it was driving me nuts this whole video. Can you do a retest and use a different rack that is the same distance from the element as the ninja?
Just bought the Ninja Foodi oven. Love it. Made great chicken and toast so far. Can't wait to try roasting in it. Thanks to your review, I didn't pick the wrong machine.
I first bought this Ninja Flip oven and loved it. Made perfect one pan meals (no worry about meat & veggies together, as long as cooked to safe temp). But, I didn't like how low the height is. I like to be able to see the food cooking. So I returned it to Kohl's and got the Ninja XL Pro oven. Big mistake. This oven has so many issues; lettering smearing off the control panel, interior CANNOT be cleaned, my top elements stopped coming on during toast/bagel after only a few months. I hardly use it because of the inability to clean it, so I can't really enjoy it. I do love the nice features like the fading light, the neat alert tone, etc. And Ninja freely ships out replacement ovens when they go bad. Probably because they admitted that some of their suppliers used inferior materials.
No way! I have a XL toaster oven that holds a 19in pizza! I use it for everything and it awesome during the Holidays for casseroles! I hardly ever heat up my house with my big over! They are great!
Not to change the subject, but. The Atomic Lighter is awesome I forgot about it in my truck for a month. It was fully charged when I left it in there. Its been in the teens all week. I pulled it out of the center console and it worked great. Seriously cold here in N Illinois. I keep it in the freezing garage where I smoke. Its been over a week since I found it. No charging, in the cold. Still working great!!
Wonderful review! 🎉
🎉
I got the Ninja for my birthday last October, best product I’ve ever owned. I use it 3-4 times a week.
I do leave mine tilted up when not in use
Was thinking tilting up feature would be great for small apartment with little counter space or for RV. 😁
any trouble with the pans that come with the ninja warping?
@@VolkXue I have not had any issues
I hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy during this crazy time ❤️
@@lissaw4 I'm curious too, if anyone has any info or suggestions... Frozen to plate. 🙂👍
Which one would work best for a cake / casserole?
I am getting for the same reasons for our van conversion!
That's exactly why I purchased the Ninja.
This is, by FAR, one of the best spots on RUclips! An excellent review!
Daniel Stauffer I would’ve liked to see him cook chicken breast. See how it crisps up and weather it’s dry.
He did with broccoli
Fairish. A smaller interior volume and higher wattage also means that it can more rapidly make up for heat lost when the door is opened.
Yeah they have an 1800 watt now wonder how that holds up
@@Ea-Nasir_Copper_Co a oven will keep heating and maintaining the temperarure all the time. So once that space is heated up, they are all standing on the same start line
Makes sense!
There are easy to use devices that can measure power consumption at a kitchen outlet.
another L for america
Thank you, this is really important to get right, and it explains how the ninja outperformed the 360 so efficiently

@@BewareTheLilyOfTheValley who's demise!? You mean Air Fryers?! #BullShit
“I like the light.” “More than I should probably.” 😂 I think it’s cool when the interior lights in our cars dim to off. 🥴
I have the ninja and use it every day. It’s amazing... love it!!! Also, I do use the flip up function. I have limited counter space, so I love having the option to flip it up and have the counter space when needed.
I haven't had it long but I already love the flip up function. And I never did make a rôtisserie chicken or roast so don't miss those.
I'm soooo happy with this purchase!!!
would love to see a battle between these ovens being priced at a premium based on the air frying wording and a cheap toaster oven
Yes, its a fancy toaster oven. But work well for a lot of things! Not worth $200, imo, but you can shop around and get a good deal on one.

I love watching this guys kitchen gadget reviews, they're great to watch while eating dinner/lunch.
He could also up the temp to 450.

Love mine! I'm a trucker so I needed a shorter oven. Only drawback I've found is it's too short for a meatloaf pan. Bread pan fits but don't put in so much dough it rises over the top.
I thought there were a few sizes for meatloaf pans...maybe try two smaller ones?
:) Just a thought.
This was my favorite purchase this year...love this oven! So far everyone I’ve showed it to bought one 😆
Thanks.
I bought this about a month ago and I love it. I use this like at least once a week. It has made cooking so much better
I bought my NINJA a couple years ago bc of James’ review.. I still love it👍👍 Makes the best toast, biscuits, pizza, etc 👍👍👍👍
James: am I going to eat this pizza after all that french toast. Yes I am.

You have to let us know if you happy you gave up the ability to rotisserie Meats
@@Terri_Hugs I dont rotisserie meats anyways, so....nope.
One thing to consider. The older machine might not be getting as hot as it once did when new. I have kept a small convection oven for small things for years. I'm on my 3rd one now, and found the more used they were, the longer it took to cook stuff.
Oh. Good to know. I never thought about that.
Great purchase!!!
i was afraid that i could replace my 4 toast toaster because of the quickness and ease of use, but the ninja heats up so fast and so much easier and takes up less space because of the flip up function, i love it
oh wow don`t be afraid nothing to be afraid of here.
I LOVE your reviews - especially since they're honest and you don't hide the negatives.
6:15 1800w vs 1500w. thats really all the difference
I have the Ninja coffee maker, best one I ever owned. I have owned top name brands like Bunn. Ninja hands down
I take calls on this item from TV ads, and I appreciate your thoroughness in your two reviews, and also the comparison between it and the Ninja.

I was thinking the same thing, the Power Air Fryer sounded great until I watched the comparison
So glad when i searched this product... YOU popped up. The man I can trust.
got the ninja for 179 at target and an additional 20% off with card / wheel. awesome buy. big but not monstrously huge. the flip up feature is nice. its lower profile lets the food be closer to the heating elements so its going to always beat a toaster / boxy shaped oven every time at the cost of no rotisserie which i didnt envision myself using so no loss there. it wont fit a standard muffin pan or casserole dish as the handles end up making them about 1/2 inch too wide. its about 12.5 x 12.5 opening so you'd have to buy the special made ones or find knockoffs that fit.
I like the look of the ninja, with the sweet display and the tilt storage. But the PAF has more space which makes it more versitile for me.
But I have a shockingly nice $15 toaster oven. I don't need another product.
my $15 toaster oven is crumbling and corroding as we breathe. lol so, something must be done.
I've never been so excited about a toaster oven purchase.

Best comment!!
This was so pure and cute what a great comment I just saw a family of ducks tonight in a parking lot so the whole visual of it is so adorable
I really enjoy watching your videos.
Keep it up!
Am I the only one who got a Power Air Fryer Oven 360 advertisement before the video started?

The one with Emeril.
😂😂😂😂 Yup
Ninja all the way. Thanks for this review, when I free up counter space, Ninja will come home to me.
It would be neat to see the actual power used by each one.
Use a Kilowatt or some other type power measuring device.
The Ninja probably uses less because it's a smaller interior, thus heat isnt radiating but is direct. It's like comparing a toaster oven to your full oven, the toaster will use less to toast bread, because its smaller.
@@__aceofspades that it illogical.
The Ninja likely uses more because it was rated at a higher wattage.
That's science...
Interesting
@@aurthorthing7403 The Ninja also cooks faster and is therefore on for a shorter period of time. It still may use more juice but I'll happily take my food being cooked better and faster as a tradeoff.
Thank you freakin reviews! I recently got a ninja air foodie thanks to your review and after a few weeks I love it! It's replaced both my toaster oven and oil fryer. Only a few things so far it doesnt do as well as my old oil fryer!
The warm up time is INSANE! 1 maybe 2 mins compared to 10ish for oven or fryer!
One burns the stuff due to it being close to the coils and other evenly undercocks stuff........ follow the recipte for each product and not 1 for 2
It's the only way to do a side by side comparison
Correct. If you follow directions for one and not for the other you have loaded the deck. On is more constructed do taller Items but none of them were used. Using your methodology a roast or halved chicken sowed have been put in and watch the burning begin. Obviously made for different uses.
I'll stick to my oven usage. I have a air fryer a small one I cook my french toast on the stove. My french fries take about 12 minutes in air fryer.
Thanks for this review. It is helpful to my shopping choices!
Leo Leo the ninja lost tbh
James - I STRONGLY recommend that you seriously consider reviewing the widely advertises and most interesting June Oven. It seem to be about the most technologically advanced small oven available - what with the camera IN the oven that recognizes the food you want to cook, etc. Please do it!
Honestly just make the ninja taller and it'd be the perfect oven/airfryer.
I believe there is a taller model now
AGREED
I like its current height. It flips up for more counter space when not in use. Making it taller will give you less counter space when stored, so I'm not too worried about not being able to cook a chicken in there.
Thank you so so much for trying all different foods in the side by side test.this really helps in deciding which one.

Where is the dehydrator test?
Also, I think it's important to let your viewers know what the materials are made of in the products you review. Is the door plastic or glass, and are the pans ceramic coated, or old, non-stick coated? These things definitely are determining factors in whether or not I purchase a product.
I agree I would have liked to see a dehydrator test but the materials questions are a quick google search away.

Just bought the ninja a week ago and have used it every day. It is impressive!
Stuff like French toast , toast and fries I won't cook in air fryers , I'm old fashion , I deep fry my fries in 5 minutes , toast in a toaster and french toast in a frying pan and will be done alot faster , I would probably only use it to reheat or make pizzas or do a pan meal like your chicken and broccoli but that's just me 😁✌✌👍
Rosie Duarte for making pizzas you might as well get a pizza stone. It’s cheaper and you can just leave it in your regular oven
This was a very helpful video. I was considering the Power Air Fryer 360, but it's clear to me, the Ninja Foodi is the one for me. Thank you James White !!!!
its exactly as you said, your favorite gadget getting destroyed by the competition. happen to me as well with a pan i bought :(
Another great review. Am I the only one freaked out that James uses fake maple syrup? That stuff is just corn syrup. James you should try real maple syrup. The stuff that comes from trees. It is a little more expensive but much healthier and also tastes way better.
Heating elements on the Ninja are closer to the food so it will cook.it faster
@LMAOer it could if you spatchcook it, which is easy to do.
Also there’s a lower air volume too so it heats up faster
*burn it*
FTFY
I'd rather the big oven. Not everybody wants to spatchcock a bird and there are other things like ham or meatloaf that need the real estate. Even a baked potato shouldn't be so close to the elements unless you like it raw in the middle and black on the outside. I don't care if the Ninja cooks frozen fries and frozen pizza faster. The only benefit I see is speed on low riding items and reduced versatility due to the space factor. ...and leaning the Ninja up against the wall when your done...? Really? ...there's and chef's dream... 😕
...but then again, whatever pleases you.

Can't wait to give update.
what is the update, I just purchased a Ninja today, lol
To be honest I have not used it as much as I thought and it takes getting used to. I've made some pizzas and baked some veggies and of course lots of toast. I tried to make wings the air fry way but it started smoking and set the smoke alarm off so I'm not sure if I just don't know how to use it or only certain things can be air fried LOL. I takes getting used to because it does have limited space above the food. With fall incoming I want to try the baking feature. Hope you like it.
It doesn't pre-heat fast. The ninja has less surface area to heat. The other air fryer has twice the area to pre heat.
Also leaving the door open while checking done is cooling done the fryer allot.
And yet you can fit more food in the Ninja
This was one of my smartest purchases this year. And my Bartesian. 🙂
Great review, as always.
You r the best RUclips channel review for products.
Thank you for keeping it raw and straight up!
I appreciate it.
Exactly what I was going to say.
Sam cassidy and same wattage
Just bought the Ninja Foodi oven. Love it. Made great chicken and toast so far. Can't wait to try roasting in it. Thanks to your review, I didn't pick the wrong machine.
Raw meat and veggies have always been fine together for me, as long as everything reaches the proper temperature for that meat.
Arem Rae yea doesn’t make any sense what he said .
That’s how Greek chicken always cooks.
I think these little ovens are just adult sized Easy Bake Ovens like I had when I was a kid.
Hahaha, agree !!
No way! I have a XL toaster oven that holds a 19in pizza! I use it for everything and it awesome during the Holidays for casseroles! I hardly ever heat up my house with my big over! They are great!
@@Terri_Hugs which XL toaster do you have? Thanks
Great review! Love how you put them head to head real time. Keep up great videos!
What a great video to watch after a long day of work! Thanks!
