Literally improve my irons ten fold, now going much straighter instead of right and getting my low irons driver distances, which is cool. Just working on consistency now.
Out of nowhere I started hitting my irons weak and to the right. For the life of me I could not figure it out! Until I came across your video and realized I started rolling my hands and pointing the toe up! Such a simple fix and easy technique to learn and practice. Wow! Yes. This works. Did this in a comp last Wednesday. Notched up my first win in 2 years, by a healthy 4 stableford points. Driver was one th8ng. What it does for the irons (for me anyway) is extraordinary.
Thanks Eric. Working with my left-handed son early days. Great question. I'm the king of the hossel rocket. I either pull the ball with decent contact or sh!@k it. Every back swing is scary. I'm sure I'm coming over the top just super hard to stop it
If jst straight push likely path too far in to out if curving right then face too open (assuming aimed correct, ball position good, etc) If you dont solve it send vids to www.cogornogolf.com so we can fix
After the last "Rapid Fire" episode and your explanation on chipping and just flaring the foot as opposed to opening your stance, I have been a lot better at actually getting the ball flighted and onto the green, as opposed to duffed 3 feet ahead of myself, or somewhere off to the right.
Do you grip first and then set up with the shaft leaning forward? Or lean the shaft forward first AND THEN grip the club with the V pointing at trailing collar bone?
Check out this video-should help with those answers and visuals: ruclips.net/video/sJd-0eEQU0w/видео.html The answer is no. Hands stay pretty much inside left thigh with all clubs. As ball moves forward and feet get wider with longer clubs.....even though the hands will be in the same place....there will be less lean....bc the ball is more forward and feet are wider/more tilt of body.

The aim is to deloft the club to get max compression. I get that. But it makes me think--why not manufacture each iron with 2 or 3 degrees less loft in the first place?
Well you can.....but even if its 2-3 less to start and you open it too much you still have the same problem.
@@CogornoGolf Ya I get that!
Hi there, silly question but what camera are we supposed the have our right palm pointing? the camera behind your set up or the other?
Hey Jacob! The DTL/behind camera👍
These two videos may help with the extra clarification!

@@CogornoGolf Thank you for replying so quick on a video you posted years ago. I appreciate it
does this apply to irons only? what about hybrid and wedge?
Applies to all clubs👍
Would a lot of this be a example of bowing the lead wrist into impact instead of cupping?!
If you get the hosel rocket 🚀 when trying to deloft (handle forward), what next?
Hey William!
Do not know...
Would have to see what you are doing to say for sure. Join www.cogornogolf.com if you don't get it sorted or some see me for a lesson
Great question. I'm the king of the hossel rocket. I either pull the ball with decent contact or sh!@k it. Every back swing is scary. I'm sure I'm coming over the top just super hard to stop it
I'm high right, but correct distance. What's my fix?
If jst straight push likely path too far in to out if curving right then face too open (assuming aimed correct, ball position good, etc)
If you dont solve it send vids to www.cogornogolf.com so we can fix
Thank you
I have flipping wrists where I don’t hit down on it but I don’t hit to the right as ur video states
Find a good coach to work with and fix it :)
Eric Cogorno Golf I’ll be signing up with ur site by the end of the week
Crazy good 👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks!
After the last "Rapid Fire" episode and your explanation on chipping and just flaring the foot as opposed to opening your stance, I have been a lot better at actually getting the ball flighted and onto the green, as opposed to duffed 3 feet ahead of myself, or somewhere off to the right.
Excellent! Glad to hear that!
great
Thank you!!
Do you grip first and then set up with the shaft leaning forward? Or lean the shaft forward first AND THEN grip the club with the V pointing at trailing collar bone?
Great question.
They happen SIMULTANEOUSLY.
Not one before the other.
Just like you are settling your grip as you shuffle your feel into place.
@@CogornoGolf How about with a hybrid, fairway wood, or driver? Do you still want to set up with the shaft leaning forward?
Check out this video-should help with those answers and visuals: ruclips.net/video/sJd-0eEQU0w/видео.html
The answer is no.
Hands stay pretty much inside left thigh with all clubs.
As ball moves forward and feet get wider with longer clubs.....even though the hands will be in the same place....there will be less lean....bc the ball is more forward and feet are wider/more tilt of body.
Woupd this also work with driver?
Yes!
