I enjoyed my first playthrough of Cyberpunk. I liked the game. I played it on Xbox Series X. And the game can be made better and fixed, though CDPR is currently dealing with hacking bs. But, ok. How did I enjoy my first playthrough?
I didn't know jack shit. I didn't know about all the promised features or that "Every NPC has a schedule", or that we were supposed to be able to buy houses and stuff. I had avoided all the marketing and trailers and whatnot because i wanted to go into the game as blind as possible. I had a lack of information, and since I didn't know about all the stuff that was promised and wasn't delivered, I was able to enjoy the game.
After my first playthrough, I then looked up some stuff while beginning a second playthrough on the hardest difficulty. And I got pissed, because now I knew about all the stuff that was promised and was not in the game.
I will forever stand by the fact that I did get enjoyment out of the game, but it was only because I didn't know what was supposed to be in it.
You can email them and tell them that it's for call of duty they can change it back I done it

I still regularly play MW2, and dabble in the others in your vid except cod 4. I havent had any issues myself because my acount is the same as it was then, but I did make a new account to try and start with fresh stats in MW2 and I discovered I couldnt track stats or keep my progression. I also tried BO2 later on and found it crashing my PS3, I figured after the second try it was due to the account being new.. I wish there was a way to fix these dumb issues. But hey if you dont mind starting over every time feel free to hop into mw2, you might run into me and my friends lol, look for m2isawsome, not my full tag but enough to recognize it if you do play it more.
Most old COD games feel like abandonware once you get a few years removed from their main release year, it’s awful. Black ops 2 is still full priced on steam, what a slap in the face
there is a way to play it for free on pc, it's called plutonium search about it

The issues you showed with Modern Warfare 2 on PS3 seem to have been there about 10 years ago as well. A few friends of mine got to the point where they modded their consoles just to play normally. As in they took their jailbroken consoles, forced themselves as host, and then didn't load in any mods! Seems like that might be the only guaranteed way to play non-modded lobbies, ironically.
Used to do that on ps3 and 360 aswell. For bo2 I specifically got an rgh just for bo2 because of all the infections

When I play a couple of matches of MW2 I play like that. There is a mod menu that has nothing but force host, when you are the host it searches for any player using either non-jailbreak cfg mods or players using any non-host mods like UAV, No recoil, etc. The mod kicks them from your game. When you first start a lobby you'll only have a couple of non-cheating players. Most of the time after about one match the lobby is filled with non-cheating players and you're ready for a fun nostalgic time :)

Exactly. Playstation 3 COD is way less hacked than Xbox 360 COD. I know this cause when I played BO2 on my PS3 (when it still worked), hackers were kinda rare, but on my Xbox, it seems like every time I join a lobby, a hacker joins it and ruins it

"Host ended game" is normal in CoD 4. It means that the person who had host backed out. Since there was no proper host migration in CoD 4, this caused the game to end.
Host migration wasn’t a thing at all until MW2, and it wasn’t put into zombies until BO2.

CoD is a franchise that's constantly phasing itself out. Even with Modern Warfare 2019, you can see that they're trying to get that game's community to switch to Black Ops Cold War with the lack of support the older games are getting. Want to play any CoD Multiplayer before that? Have fun playing team deathmatch redundantly while probably getting your rank reset a dozen times by a bunch of cheaters.
I used mod menu a few times in multiplayer. More frecuently in zombies. But i only did fun and dumb stuff, like spawning boxes and stuff. Using forge and other things! Haha. But then, in november 2019, a zombies match froze (with no mod menu) and the ps3 Broke. Couldn't even install a new hard drive becuase it also froze in the system installation phase.

Wasn't Black ops 3 the longest supported CoD game? It was getting updates for at least 3 or 4 years if I remember correctly.

it's actually easier to play it on a modded ps3 because you can use software like SEN enabler to patch some of the console's features temporarily to make the game not crash on boot

I played it on 360, I got into it about the time the original black ops came out. So even though the game was only 2 years old at the time the amount of hackers made it nearly unplayable.
I can’t even get inside WaW lobby’s. There was one time where I waited for 10 minutes and only one other person joined

Black ops 1 zombies on xbox doesn't have search and its hard to find a lobby for zombies. I like all platforms.
i wonder what Call of Duty 3 is like? The one I played the most as the 360 version was a pain in the ass to get running as it was ultra picky with NAT settings.
I tested it on both 360, and PS3. Both are completely dead.
I discovered (after finishing this video) that the server browser is frozen for both versions. The game still works but you have to host & have people manually join your game, as quick play will try and join lobbies that don't actually exist.
Also it was waaaaaaay unoptimized. Constant frame drops.

I could do without the season pass that always shows me all the cool stuff that I unlocked but don't get because I didn't pay.(A lot of the shit seems like it should have already been included though honestly)
Fermin Cirella they took out all progression and rewards from cod besides camos. Now the battle pass is the only progression after you get level 55 on the $60 premium trial base game. Also cosmetic bundles are overpriced, $20 which is apparently equivalent to 1/3 of the base game aka $160 mil budget product.
This is another warning about ONLINE ONLY. You dont own them, you rent them.
Have you seen the RUclipsr Accursed Farms? He did the Freeman's mind videos. He has a whole series of games that suffer this very problem. I HATE online only.
All of these games are playable offline you know.

@ Depends on the game. Games like halo and cod have a short campaign with good multiplayer. To add to longevity, issue is, cod releases every year. There's no point of a multiplayer mode

I think Sony's hands are tied here. All Activision games seem to follow this pattern on all platforms, including Steam and GOG. Old COD games, Timeshift, Soldier of Fortune, all are overpriced and NEVER get discounts above 50%. Activision is the scummiest company in this regard.
I think this is partly because they don’t want to pull people away from the micro transactions and battle pass from the new games. If you’re spending time playing their older titles that’s time you’re not spending thinking about purchasing in game content that could potentially make them 2-3 times the original games value. Like I got Cold War on sale for $35 dollars last holiday season but can’t buy a digital copy of BO2 for less on the Microsoft store. That’s the only reason I can think of that they justify it.
They are just there eating cheetos and drinking beer making more futuristic games without listening to the fans "fix the old games! We paid full price!!" And they just dont understand

COD4 - BLOPS2 (Golden Age)
MW2 - BLOPS1 (Golden Age of the Golden Age). I consider the 2-year span to be the absolute peak of CoD.
I have MW2 for the PS3 and an un-changed account name so my progression works. Hacked lobbies are about 1 out of every 10-20 lobbies. Can be annoying but doesn't break the game for me. Still more enjoyable than current gen CoD titles, and of course, on PS3, online play is totally free :)
They probably refuse to patch them so newer generations cannot play them and realizing that most of them are higher quality games than what they're being sold right now
It kinda makes me sad that I’ll never get to experience these games with my high school friends again

The COD brand had and still has the potential to be an everlasting FPS like CSGO or like WoW or LoL are such MOBAs. But thanks to Activision’s greediness they are slowly but surely killing the franchise with the yearly releases.
They actually immortalized thanks to cod mobile so kids will know that there are more cod games from old and New. I just wish COD could not be a yearly release and about like two year development like Battlefield.
It also stems from the problem with having multiple dev teams, it it was just Treyarch, or just IW, it would be easier to do, but with 3/4 different main devs for COD now theres always gonna be a new one every year. They should just give the contract to one studio and have one Cod game that goes on indefinitely

Infinite Warfare did have a rather interesting story. It was a good game, just not a good Call of Duty
IW had the best campaign of the 8th generation games the multiplayer was ok and zombies was meh. It was a fine cod game it just took place in a sci-fi setting just as modern warfare took place in a modern day setting. It just after three disappointing games in a row people wanted to go back to what worked.

This is fucking heartbreaking. All of the PS3/360 CoDs need to be immortalized and experienced for years to come, but Activision is neglecting these games while they are literally broken in every sense of the word.
Activision needs to make these older CoDs MUCH easier to access and play. Many people don’t own a 7th gen console anymore, and the few that still do CAN’T EVEN PLAY THEM ANYMORE. Buying these games for PC would be a good option... if Activision wasn’t still selling these 10+ year old games for full retail price on Steam. All Activision needs to do is lower the price of these games on all storefronts, and also maybe consider checking to see if the servers are still functional. That doesn’t seem too unreasonable to me.

I never played Call of Duty, but I still have a 60GB PS3 so that I can play my PS2 games on my PS3. But with these 12+ games, wasn't it inevitable that this would happen? How could the company keep the servers going for 20, 25, or even 30 years? If the servers are on autopilot or broken, it's guaranteed that it will be infested with hackers. This has happened with GTA Online on PS3. I think that it's going to happen with every online multiplayer game eventually. The only games to not be lost to time, are probably the ones that don't focus on the multiplayer.
Like Saints Row: The Third. It's only a co-op mode with one other player, the story is the main focus.

@@whiteeagle9769 halo mcc is one of the greatest reboots ever. The game plays perfect and isn’t a shit version of COD 4. I’d love that to happen but activision have Warzone now and dlc’s what make loads, the last 2 games have been great but the golden era of Modern Warfare 2 will never come back :(

It's a blast isn't it? I've always preferred survival over zombies. So when I got on mw3 a couple months back, I grinded my new profile to max rank in survival.
And it's still better than MW Remastered Survival

the problem here is the games do essentially “die” at the end of their cycle, Activision would have to put teams in place to continuously keep these up, and even if they did invest in that not a lot of devs actually want to do that job, they’d much rather work on a new project than the same game for 10+ years
It is fascinating how the consumer/company dynamic is changing, and not necessarily for the better. Comparing a similar situation, during the PS3 era you would never have to worry about Crash Bandicoot suddenly not working.

@AimN4ya If they could release 1 game every 5 years all while adding new content for the game, that would be great. I stopped playing COD after the horrible Advanced Warfare and came back after WWII, skipped Black Ops 4 while WWII was supported for 2 years and then went to Modern Warfare which I think is the best COD post Black Ops 2. Bought Cold War and regretted it as the game was rushed because of Activision. I'll probably just buy Infinity Ward's games from now on only if they are Modern Warfare games. There's no need to release a game every year
I'm still using the same account I used back in the day, but I changed the cringey username I had back in 2015 when I was 14. It's pretty sad that all my loadouts, my statistics and everything is just gone :/

YES!! Finally someone is bringing this up! Is anyone else having problems finding games on Xbox One with MW2, MW3, and Black Ops 1?? I can't find any lobbies not even in TDM... I did change my gamer tag back in August and since then I can't find games for some reason but when I had my original gamer tag before I changed it I was finding games easily. Idk if that's the problem but I feel it plays into it.

I remember having huge issues with profile saves in MW2 on PS3. I didn't play online at that time, but I loved playing local 4 player split-screen with my friends. We had to create our own profiles on which the game would save individual progress. Every time we booted the game there was like 90% chance that some of the profiles would become corrupted, which forced us to play from scratch. That was the major issue why we switched to X360, which didn't have these issues.

it's really refreshing seeing a video-essay style channel with high production quality talk about the CoD games in a positive way. The multiplayers for the golden age of CoD was a wonderful time in games, and seeing it die out is sad. Sunsetting Halo games make a bit more sense, as there's better copies you can obtain for relatively cheap. Unless Activision sells a CoD collection anytime soon, I highly doubt we'll see these games stick around other than fan efforts on PC.i

I think it's good that The Master Chief Collection exists, but for COD there's just way too many games and DLC that they made so they'll never do that. They didn't even include multiplayer or spec ops with Modern Warfare 2 Remastered. Activision only cares about people buying the newest game, and even Modern Warfare is getting shafted by Warzone and Cold War to the point where the Modern Warfare operator packs that you can purchase have removed all of the tier skips but kept the price on them the exact same because they want to go buy Cold War instead
In activision defence, from a developers perspective, it is ridiculous that sony pushed an update that breaks old games.

In all likelihood it would have been impossible to implement such a feature without breaking games that rely on people's usernames for their save data.

If I remember correctly, "Host ended game" was due to the lack of a host migration system in COD4, I think WAW had a similar issue, but its been awhile.

@Zyaphu Swore they had a proper host migration by then. I never seen a "Host ended game" message when I played BO1 on PS3, ditto for 2.
@@genkia87 it might just be a bo3 problem, once the host leaves on som thing like a zombies match it tries migrating but usually just takes you back to menu
@Zyaphu Oh if you mean Zombies, that's probably a different can of worms. I typically spent most my time in multiplayer and 80% of the time Host migration occurred, the game would return where it left off. I've heard the servers are abit more stingy for zombies. Good ol Activision and their terrible servers lmao

Zombies peaked back in WAW going in the wrong direction as early as shi no numa. You don’t hear about any hate because most moved on and don’t care. Seems like the same happened with gears horde mode.

I still play WAW, MW2, MW3, BO1 and BO2 I’ve played regular matches on these many times
right. even though I havent had a name change I still play all the CODs everyone once in awhile. I've had no issues besides the occasional modder here and there (mostly mw2 of course)

My very first Call of Duty game was the Ww2 limited expansion pack and i still have it on my hard drive to this day

I liked MW19, it was the first cod i had fun with (edit: or bought) since MW3 or BO2. Cold War's pacing pisses me off, i had more fun with the beta, someone at activision can enjoy snorting lines with my money, last of it they'll get.

WRONG. Dead wrong. Who the hell thought that putting doors in a 6v6 game was ok? God awful maps btw. Hackney Yard can be great, but nowhere near Raid in BO2. And nothing beats Original Shipment. OP guns in almost every 2 months, cool huh?

Yes, Maps can be annoying, some of them are extremly large with a lot of angles, but that doesnt deserve all the attetion like the things it did great, and better after BO4

If details are good but the game is not great, then no pass.

BO4 maps weren't so bad if they don't have night mode w/out goggles and sandstorm. And plus, it does not have SBMM.
Free weapons have been there ever since Infinite Warfare and WW2. So, again, do not count.

They're generic and basic asf, mostly just 3 lane maps, it was boring and repetitive to play those maps

MW19 is a great game, it revived the franchise thanks to Warzone and the new stuff and upgrades, thats what COD needed after falling deeper and deeper. If you cant enjoy it, it doesnt mean it deserves to be called bad.
As far as black ops 2 goes, you can get BO2 plutonium which is basically like IW4x for bo2. Full controller support and a server browser. They have a mw3 port as well

It's even worse for BOII on the PS3 than you've already mentioned! Your IP-adress can be found easily by those "script kiddies" because of the terrible security the game has, if you can join a match in the first place

@AimN4ya Yeah I’m pretty sure this is nothing new. PS3 was notoriously relaxed on their security, especially the old PSN network which got hacked like every other month.

I really wanted to like this video, and I did. What I didn't like is how depressed it made for two of my most loved CoD games, MW2 and Black Ops.
I really miss the wager matches. Gun game, One In a Chamber, Stick and Stones and Sharpshooter got me through some really rough times and God knows how many hours I poured in those. Acitivison really pisses me off.
Great video but it really broke my heart.
I enjoy modding on PlayStation consoles, including the PS3. Offline stuff only. But manipulating online multiplayer games and making it impossible to play normally is NOT the right thing to do.

I picked up last year a Wii copy of MW3 to play survival in specs ops, and to connect to specs ops you require an update from the Wii Shop. Needless to say, I did not play any specs ops.
Yeah pretty weird but luckily the service are online since the games run off the Activision servers and not the Nintendo Servers.
I can play online, but i need my damn nat settings to be better. I have a shit internet company xd

Black ops wii is still online. You need your wii to be softmodded and you also need to follow some steps in order to update the game and then access multiplayer. You also need to have an Open or Moderate Nat setting.
The servers of black ops are still online. Believe me. They run through Activision servers, something happened in june or july, (i think) and the thing that happened was that nintendo messed up some server files that made the multiplayer of every wii game unavailable unless you have homebrew.
I have made all of this process for black ops. I can play with bots only because of my nat. Check out Cod Nintendo discord server.

After the release of cold war, the numbers in bo1 dropped significantly to the point where once me waiting for 1-2 minutes of getting a lobby went to 15-30 minutes just to get a lobby that’s partially full. And i run bo1 on the xbox 1 s

World at war is still fairly popular with a lot of older fans of the series, I know me and a few friends still hop on and play zombies once every couple of days just because it's that fun.
I got kind of weary when I heard him talking about the the black ops games shutting down alongside the old music.

All cod games need intelligent bot support. That way, when the multiplayer is dead, you can still play with bots. I really enjoyed the bo1 combat training with its own leveling system.
Try Black Ops 1 on PC, I and many others had our accounts get glitched so create a class is broken and the only way to fix it is to prestige or play until it fixes itself.
Only way to contact their dumb support? Twitter, no joke. Best, part they tell you to go f'off and buy the new games.

@@razielette2159 No and it even has a server browser. You must be thinking of Ghosts with the dual render scope that actually functions like a scope. The framerate drops to like 15fps when using a sniper scope. Other than that, the game play flawlessly on max settings and actually has better texture work than Cold War and WWII

Similar issue currently with Modern Warfare (2019) version. If you are playing multiplayer split screen, I'm talking online but with a buddy who has a PSN account, then the game crashes. It's not just the game, the playstation 4 crashes, with the blue error screen, and takes you back to the main dashboard. This game is still current content as most people are not yet on black ops due to ps5 shortage.
I have the same problem. I was 7 when I made my PSN account, and the ID was literally my name. So yeah, I changed it and all my unlocks were gone. Truth is, neither Sony nor Activision care anymore, so it's very unlikely they'll fix it. Also the last part had me in tears.
As someone who has never played Call of Duty or it's multiplayer, I feel bad for the ones who won't get to if they want to.
@@CassandraPantaristi its worse for those who grew up with these games and then try to revisit them but can't. I'm glad I've never changed my psn and I'm still able to go back and play the games that made up my childhood and early teenage years. They will forever hold a special place in my heart.
@@autosarte7356 I feel like it will inevitably happen to every multiplayer game. Realistically, I don't think that servers can be operational forever. If they're not being monitored and operated by the company, the servers are private and would probably be subject to exclusivity. It will suck, but I think this is the future of past (and in the future current) multiplayer games.

There was a fan server for MW3 mp for PC back in 2013/14 ish. Had a blast playing it back then, don't know if it's still up.
That one is gone but IW4X has replaced it!

That actually reminds me, the last time I played IW4X, I recall it would skyrocket my Steam Hours Played number by the hundreds every time I played it; it’s at like ~700 hours, but truthfully I must’ve only spent like ~150 or so... maybe Steam really was part of the problem

I assume the stats resetting is maybe due to them using the gamertag to generate the demonware userid.
