great segue :P
Still beats out the GBA version of Medal of Honor: Underground
Best game ever.
Everything does.
Nothing beats MoH Underground on GBA
@@StopSkeletonsFromFighting Stop Skeletons from Fighting? Lol what are you doing here! Such a big fan!!!!!
I still can’t believe I actually bought that game
The green crosshair over the enemy feels like it breaks a Geneva convention
i wonder if the option for the green crosshair was chosen due to the screen it used - maybe when the crosshair turned green it proved to be legitimately more visible/brighter to the player than if it turned red, compared to seeing it through a pc monitor. I feel im probs wrong, but that's my estimation for this really weird design decision
Still better than N-gage version of Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
Dude the video shows it was uploaded yesterday and your comment says it was uploaded 2 days ago. How?
@@dawn_slayer patreon or something ?
The framerate is way smoother in the emulator. The actual N-gage version is a slideshow.
This. It's borderline unplayable on original n-gage without an overclock patch
@@SlavaisFilth how is it on the QD?
@@beemz8841 it's just the same system, with different shape
@@kucingbuas3334 from what I know the QD is more power efficient and runs a bit better generally
@@beemz8841 no, the QD have same CPU and same internal size, even it's a downgrade coz it doesn't have usb port and the earphone audio output are mono not stereo
Any idea what engine it used? The way the enemies are animated are very Quake 1-like.
I believe its using a version of the engine used in red faction ngage and other 3d games called the X-forge engine
cod 1 on pc used quake 3 engine
This is a great example why DOOM RPG and Wolfenstien RPG were great mobile games, they made a game that worked right with their platforms limitations as a priority even if it had barely any ressemblance to the original series, you still had a good experience.
@Lassi Kinnunen 81 not officially
“Designing for your platform is just as, if not more important, than respecting your source material” amen this should be the golden rule of hardware limited ports
I still love a few GBA and DS spinoffs to this day that are otherwise panned or forgotten and it's because the developer followed that rule as best as they could.
It's just as true for adapting things to other mediums.
Every time you cut to normal CoD footage, the high framerate is a ridiculous breath of fresh air, lol.
Also, a fishing mobile game, huh? That's actually the first mobile game sponsorship ad I think I've ever seen, that ACTUALLY has me interested.
WHO THE FUCK PLAYS FISHING GAMES
Everyone be asking for CoD mobile and expecting the iOS version…
Kacey: lemme stop you right there kiddo.
iOS version??
@@NovaStrike118 yes
Zombies seemed to be my bet, and I'll probably get it wrong.
Seeing that death screen, with absolutely no visual or audio indication why, would make me break an n gage
I really love how your video style has developed as your channel has grown, and genuinely I want to watch your videos over someone else's because of the personality in your videos. Its crazy to see how far you've come and I can't wait for what you do next
this is really sweet wtf
@@Kaceydotme why Call of Duty Black Ops Declassified is not on the Nintendo 3DS?
Obscure ports are my favourite type of drug
I remember when I first bought COD 3 on the Wii, the manual spoke about how if you messaged a certain number, you would get access to a mobile version of COD 3. This was before smartphones, so the game shown was a top-down, 2D, pixel shooter. I never got to experience it, and I can't find anything about it online.
Have you thought making a video for Gran Turimso on the psp?
Absolutely loved that game haha
I came here for 5fps gameplay and Im disappointed... You should play it on real hardware or at least an emulator that will emulate the framerate aswell.
Could you review a game called doritios dash of destruction because it was a great game that might be nostalgia speaking but still it was a great game that was delisted in like 2009
My guess is that this was a passion project for some of the original 22 infinity ward developers. The lack of information and credits as well as the general feel of the game makes sense. The programmers likely were seeking a challenge, and what better than porting one of the most groundbreaking games of the time onto an underpowered device complete with a multitude of technical limitations and design flaws. It didn’t matter how the game turned out, the fact they were able to port this game at all is nothing short of a miracle.
Around 11:30, it is very faint but i recognize the Background music! It's from Call of Duty 3 when you play as the Polish and you're holding out until the Canadians arrive! "Fog of War" i think it's called. Unless i am hallucinating the whole thing! Lol
Love the Video btw!
The people at the start aren't wrong, you did play COD on a mobile phone.
What’s the song at the end? A Gran Turismo game I’m thinking? So familiar but haven’t heard it in forever
GT2 - Soul of Garage
@@Kaceydotme thanks! And great video as expected, keep killing it
You might wanna check out the PPC version of this game. That's 'Pocket PC', some early versions of stylus control Microsoft Mobile OS phones.
I'm talking particularly about the version around 2006 and '07, when I played an official COD port on my HTC Touch/Dopod S1 PPC phone.
edit: It's an official port of Call of Duty 2, I just found some footage here on youtube. Perhaps look into it, may prove interesting.
3:50 that was smooth xD
I know it’s not the usual type of game you review but it’d be cool to see a gravity rush review
Thank you for this review ! I've been looking for footage and information about this obscure port of Call Of Duty for a very long time and couldn't find any except for a very old choppy trailer. I'm kind of surprised that it looks much smoother than I had expected.
That is much more likely a result of the emulator- the game runs at 5-10 frames on real hardware
The music selection for the advertised game is just great! Had a great laugh from that nostalgia hit)))
Just found your channel. Love your content can’t wait for more!
Really good video, I just learned that there was a mobile version on early 2000's AND N-Gage is a thing
Speaking of preservation, atlus released a few mobile games back in the day, they are all sequels to console games
You cannot play any of them anymore
The only one i found was soul hackers intruder, because someone made a playthrough of it and posted here on RUclips. Only the playthrough.
Ok i will stop ranting right now thx for reading this have a nice day
I think this game remembers the PS1 Medal of Honors a lot, visually.
The first 5 minutes really made you feel like this game was going to be some sort of under appreciated gem that everyone has to try out, but EarthBound it is not :(
Ah N-Gage, the phone that was apparently designed after goatse
Call of Duty Heroes is another COD mobile game that Activision wants people to forget
Can you review cod mobile?
I just did :P In seriousness, probably one day.
I had the QD and I played this COD until the end and I had fun with it, but maybe because my PS2 at the time was broken so I had nothing better to play. I don't have the QD anymore, but I still have my NGAGE copy of Red Faction and The Sims. I'd say FIFA, Asphalt, and THPS was the games you can play over and over again on the NGAGE.
I’m hyped for that brothers in arms ds video
How did you emulate this? I didn't realize it was possible to emulate N-Gage games these days.
It's a new-ish emulator EKA2L1. It's available on Windows and Android. I was shocked too; N-gage emulation was a no-go for *years*
@Lassi Kinnunen 81 I’m not an expert, but you can ask in the EKA2L1 discord
Your videos and that boy Aqua feel kinda similar Maybe it’s the voice. Good video regardless
you videos are great. Your voice is nice and helps me fall asleep. Sorry if that sounds creepy
The frame rate would literally drop to 1 or 2 frames per second when things got busy. I still managed to finish it years ago because I just kinda appreciated the novelty of CoD on a phone.
4:57 reminds me of the opening to the missions in MOH: Airbourne
thank you for making the in video ad unobtrusive and easy to find when it ended. as long as they’re like that, having them in your videos is honestly fine!!! get your $$$
I'm a longtime player of CoD Mobile, DO NOT play CoD Mobile, it's one hell of a shithole
Wonderful. And congrats on getting a sponsor!
I see new Kacey video, I click immediately.
I never know they did a ngage cod game, cool!
happy pride month fellow t girl
I knew 4* people with one and none with the QD variant.
This is a great review, by the way can you review Treyarch first call of duty Big Red One? It was a pretty good game
There’s 3 things going for Finland -
Saunas, Ice Hockey and Tacos.
A video on cod roads to victory for the psp would be interesting tbh
Awesome video. Can’t wait for you to cover the Wii ports at some point (if that’s in your future plans).
Still better than most fps games on GBA
Yeah just from looking at this footage, CoD N-Gage was really ahead of its time when it came to mobile gaming. I remember the most advanced game I could play was something called Helicopter Bomber or something like that. For 2003, this was way ahead of the curve. Not surprised since it was done again with the rise of smart phones and the beginning of iOS with CoD Zombies.
Me and my brother had the OG ngage I had ghost recon and he had Tony hawks back in the day it was amazing a few years later I got a Sony xperia play and playing crash bandicoot was mind blowing
@Lassi Kinnunen 81 ye I ment Xperia I got the old music one I had mixed up with it
I don't mean to pull an 'ackhually', but the rifle at 7:00 in is a British Lee-Enfield, not a Springfield. Still makes no sense why it's so weak to enemies.. Also, I really loved this review!
I would love to see you cover red faction on the n gage I think that game got it right a lot more than this one
I’ll likely do a general roundup on the rest of the FPS games on the system in the future. Just wanna get a real console & set it up for ROMs and homebrew first
Still waiting for the cod mobile vid
I don't understand what's so special about COD mobile (iOS/Android). It's just F2P COD multiplayer on your mobile.. with more microtransactions.
P.S. Please review COD Roads to Victory on the PSP :)
Probably the fact it works quite well on mobile
@@user-gk1mp1zk7n Yeah, that also. It's pretty good for a mobile game, tbh but I would rather watch her reviews on bad/weird ports instead.

Do an nfs undercover review on Nintendo ds!
If enemies appear from beyond the draw distance, you zoom in. It’s not that big a deal. Sheesh.
Also you can duck down to crawling and move around to avoid most enemy fire
There's a call of duty 2 mobile for the HTC Windows phone, I don't know how you'd even obtain or find any information on it but I'd say it's worth looking into atleast.
to be fair tho, the draw distance gets better when you zoom for distant combat, plus, when your crosshair is vertically lined up to your enemy, the game will automatically fix your aim to the enemy making it easier in close combat, i also recommend playing in greenhorn diff otherwise you will die and die and die.
There are also a few missing missions with the game, in fact the training mission isnt present here, and the existing ones are shorter than the major system counterparts.
Other than that its an adequate experience and a very much on-the-go version of cod, though it couldve been better, im honestly fine with it.
I love the slowed down Gran Turismo 2 music at the end
Not slowed down, that’s just how it sounded!
At first I thought this port wasn't too bad, but the draw distance, difficulty, and inhuman ai make this game look unbearable
Damn straight I'm looking up N-Gage reviews in 2022. Vital information for survival.
Kacey 7:00 mins. Not only was that not an m1 garand. But thats not even a springfield
Correct, it’s a Lee Enfield. I was rushing to get the video out on the deadline. The “field” part throws me off all the time lol
Course I come fast, I've got fish to catch!
Cellphone Games have a great potential, but sadly, the big corps want to make all of the games a shitbox of micro transactions... Look the own Call of Duty Mobile? +3Gb of... Skins The first one has less than 1Gb and a good campaign.
I think by the time 2007 came around the Java phones were powerful enough, to make this thing disappear from everyone's memories. I had a Sony Ericsson K530 and it could play so many awesome 3d games at the time, you could not even believe was capable.
My parents’ friend’s kid that I was kinda friends with own an n gage. Only time I ever saw one in person.
Oh yeah, I remember that game. I always thought is an Ngage thing for Call of Duty to be this foggy and you can only see your target by using the aiming sight. The concept of rendering distance wasn't a thing in my 16 year old head of mine.
To be honest, I like it. Sure is choppy as heck but it was 3d game on a phone, my mind was blown back then to have a gaming phone. it wasn't perfect. yet till this day it still works, Nokia build their phones to last.

You forget about Soviet campaign
Is litteral hell
You need too suicide run and when you make small mistake you dead
Then sewer level
Is litteral hell cuz enemy spawn when you spawn , many booby trap ( you think only 1 enemy but there is 2 ) yeah
Correction, around the 7 minute mark you call a lee Enfield a Springfield
Super gaming
Incredible transition
when someone from high school sees me for the first time in years
The question remain
Why tf Activision can't do that r8 now with more beefy phone is more cheaper and more affordable?
RUclips says: Call of Duty: Vanguard from 2003 XD
"Hey Derek, it's me derek and WELCOME to stop skeletons from fighting!"
COD n gage seems to ignore the "date" of the levels (in PC COD you don't get the mp44 until the mission takes place in 1944, both to make the enemies less powerful early on and as a historical accuracy deal), and... did I see Foy in the save screen footage? Foy is a United Offensive (the expansion pack for COD) map.
Yep Foy is level 2 or 3
You should do a video on cross gen games
Try it on forza... (forza horizon
2's half baked xbox 360 port)
Can anyone proudly say that they beat this game in veteran in the infamous n gage device device bc is so then wow bc what a hardcore pro gamer move that sh1t has to be in order for anybody to even pull it off in the dang first place
Lol
wUt DA fUk kiLlEd meH
ah yes. The OG COD Mobile
Fine then: can you review cod mobile for Android and iOS devices
I was waiting for you to do this video...finally
On real hardware game is running much worse (10-20fps). That's why game was so hated back then (I've played it on QD model).
Not 10-20, more like 5-10
whats the music from the ad?
Big Fishes at Emerald Coast from the Sonic Adventure soundtrack
I miss the times of playing waw zombies on my friends iphone
still better than vanguard
So, can you please review the DS version of NFS ProStreet or the PSP/PS2 versions of Test Drive Unlimited or Midnight Club L.A. Remix, no?, ok...
I talked about the PS2/PSP versions of TDU in the TDU video I put out a couple months ago. The rest.... well, they’ll happen when they happen
I still wanna own an actual N-Gage console considering it's the very first gaming phone
Even tho there's already an N-Gage emulator
What a about you review Asphalt Urban GT2 on the N-Gage
Btw. Java CoD games were somewhat interesting. Maybe to be honest CoD 3 was actually good
Ive been trying to figure out how to get these to run well in an emulator. I’m particularly interested in the late ones
The N-gage was amazing and Call Of Duty was a game I played all the way through. Once I got used to the frame rate and worked out the controls, it’s actually incredibly fun. I never had problems playing games with the buttons.
This cod mobil still better than the other one i hate cod mobile xD
Are you using an emulator to capture footage? If so witch one?
eka2l1
Will you cover Team 6's Flatout abominations? Not just Flatout 3, but their "Flatout" that released on the Wii as well? I'd love to see the whole series in general, but seeing the especially bad games covered would be very cool as well!
As someone whos done the campaign twice on original hardware I can safly say its uh something.....BUT its a compatent something its not lazy or rushed and its amazing that it fit on there but the controls are god awful im playing on the qd with the squeshiest dpad ever is far from glorious but its still a neato little port 8/10
2:16 - Thanks for mentioning me :D
