Even the DS version had multiplayer and zombies.
Not zombies. However, Black Ops on the DS did.
Pilotgeek online multiplayer at that
How bad was multiplayer on both?
@@williampotratz6247 Actually it wasn't THAT bad. I was a kid back then, but I remember playing Team Deathmatch on World at War on the DS and it being reasonably fun. Same with Black Ops.
There used to be a IPHONE and android version of WAW and BO1 zombies they removed the WAW, the better version.
I miss,that game
No kid should get bullied over Katamari
very much agreed.
My teacher plays that daily
Well you know what to do if someone does, roll em up into a ball
Bruh,Katamari is gay 😂
Piotr kukliński Wow! I wasn't aware a virtual game had the option to pick it's sexuality, what an impressive bit of trivia! Thanks for sharing!
Ik its bad but my dear granny lovingly bought it for me thinking it was the actual CoD everyone was playing so i just played it religiously for her rip grans
The Overlander :(
You keep that game and ps2 forever
You are the shining example of a good human.
Thank you all happy new year
Grandchild of the decade right here. *you've unlocked a new achievement*
It's bizarre the game doesn't have English voice actors, especially considering the developer, Rebellion are British.
Nothing about this game makes sense. I love it, even if playing it gave me stomach ulcers.
@@Kaceydotme i don't think you're supposed to eat it....
Oh, hey Larry, fancy running into you here. Only real thing I remember from this game was Roebuck was using Dixon’s model from COD3 and Steve Blum was doing some voices for this game.
I'm confused, if memory serves you can only play as the US and Russia and both fight against the Germans and Japanese? So, where would the English voice actors come in?
@@sniper_militia5476 The russians aren't actually featured at all in this game
That moment when COD black ops on a DS has more content than this.
I own BO:DS, and can confirm. At least it has a story.
It even has zombies on DS. Easily the best part. The framerate was shit in multiplayer though
@@ori.g4mi i emulate the zombies all the time. It's fun running through the maps.
So many people mocking cod psp port(and yes, its not the best) but its better than WAW's ps2 port for sure.
Ty The Sloth there was a story?
“Looks like the nugget’s pretty tight... Guy Fieri must be close, MOVE!”
Im going to use that as my yearbook quote
Keep your eyes on that nugget, soldier
He's gonna take you to Flavortown, MOVE!
Beefjerky007 literally the best😂
i died laughing at that line
"GUY FIERI MUST BE NEAR. MOVE!"
Same fonts, same HUD, same textures as Cod: Big Red One, a game from 2005
and game play
I remember playing a demo of that on the 360 at gamestop when it first came out. The textures on the side of the jeep of the first level blew my mind and I was hyped for the future of gaming for months becuase of those ten minutes.
The best cod
That's because it is big red one with a different story and no multiplayer......the small team had to use what was available with 0 help from treyarch. The same situation that happened with black ops 3 on PS3/360.....treyarch offered old assets and no help. I say for a small team to develop a somewhat functional game within the very very short time they had to make it.....its pretty decent.
I have that game disc
The only thing that I got out of this game was, there's a Star Wars reference. At one point a soldier is talking on a radio, and he shoots it saying "boring conversation anyway"
Pacific assault has another at Henderson field also relating to a new hope
I bought this version when I was a kid thinking I would get Nazi zombies, relaized there wasn’t any, and never played again
I played through the whole campaign as a kid in hopes of getting zombies...dark times
ΜΑΝ...ME TOO OMG
DUDE ME TOO but I finished the whole goddamn game. I had no idea
Sameeee
FUCKIN SAME I THOUGHT I NEEDED WIFI FOR IT AND I WAS DEPRESSED FOREVER TILL I GOT MY PS3 🤣
This isnt a port?
It's a whole other game.
That is absolutely true. Aside from returning characters, it has nothing to do with the main game. Best word to describe this game is "demake".
@@BullworthGraduate You know what, I forgot that was a term. In retrospect I would've used that. Next time.
@@Kaceydotme but it's not a demake either. its a completely different game lmao. chill.
Cole Phelps I didn’t.

I actually played this and it's what made me get into Call of Duty.
This is my first cod i have ever played

My first Call of Duty was IW's CoD 2
My mate had a 360 and i had a PS2. He was like, "You payed Zombies on WaW yet?", I was like "Nah". We couldn't find it on the menu so we completed the campaign to see if it it would unlock zombies. It's safe to say we wasted a day.
This was honestly my first CoD game, I got quite sad when i finished the game to find no zombies.
ya boi if it was your first cod how did you know there’d be zombies !?
John Smith maybe because of other people?
@@JohnSmith19282 do you buy games without knowing anything about them?
We were all disappointed.
@@JohnSmith19282 yeah alot of people thought it would be like the OG WaW with zombies after the campaign. If they would of done that it could it would of been awesome. Sooo many hours on the 360 playing World at war and zombies my god
The best part about the voices for the British soldiers is that Rebellion is a UK studio.
They have no excuse.
what now?
What if you wanted to go to heaven but God said : “banzaiiii!!!! Ahhhhhhh!!!!”
Gimmy ass
Why tf do the british acting sounding like a minecraft villager news animation series?
They do

I actually loved this game, i played the campaign over and over again, playing this as a kid was fantastic
Yea, sad nobody will get us few
Poor kids like me played this whole game and though back in days it’s awesome 😎
Karan Yadav no bull this game was my shit 😂😂
Karan Yadav I loved this call of duty, my favorite cod on ps2 and this game was also my shit. Have a nice day/night
Had a lot of fun with this back then
I forgot what the last cutscene was too, I almost want to say it's you dropping the bomb or watching a fly over.
@@lokinpsychg its watching planes dropping bombs on a ship
I played this when i was a child and don't remember it being _that_ bad....
Kami Sama its crazy I was 8 fucking years old when I played this lmao
You were probably just having fun
Rising Sun was amazing when I played it, though that was a long time ago. I wonder if it's still as good as I remember. Probably not
@aoalvo96 well, it could be that, but i literally don't ever remember the graphics being that shit like in this video....
@@ThunderbolttheFox oh god, Medal of Honor was the bomb during PS2 era. Easily the best one compared to COD. I only played European assault and it's one of my favorite game (tried to play Vanguard but game kept crashing)
That, and Battlefield modern combat 2
This PS2 version is giving me alot of DS version flashbacks especially the British sniper clip you put in this video.
There was a DS version too? Is it the exact same as this one?
God I remember that game. It wasn't that bad but it looked really terrible compared to the COD 4 DS port.
@@darksoulsismycity no because i think even the ds version has 1 map of zombies. I think so or unless I'm thinking of black ops 1 ds
AviCulos Bimmer Thinking of blops 1. Days version had campaign and multiplayer.
Dark Souls is my city no it was completely different, centered around the western front. I don’t remember it being all that terrible but it’s the only shooter I ever played on ds and obv the console version was better
IT'S REAL?!?!
I found this thing ages ago at GameStop and until now I was convinced that it was a Chinese knock off that somehow wound up in the bargain bin.
I did manage to finish it. They squeeze in a few random superweapons that you just happen to walk up to and destroy and at least one of the levels had bots that could clip their weapons through walls and kill me.
Yeah its real. I got it from a thrift store a couple years ago. I was surprised to see it too, didn't think WaW got a ps2 port. It's shit, but it has a nice home in my closet.
Andrew Mandrona it’s kinda like just dance 2020 on the wii yep the OG wii! i saw it and didn’t believe it but it’s real as well lol
Michel Angelo yeah Ubisoft has stated they get a good amount of revenue from releasing the Wii versions of just dance every year, so it looks like that won’t stop anytime soon. People are still buying the Wii versions if you can believe that.
Tha Prolific 1 i didn’t know the wii was really still supported and i think it’s kinda funny but cool hopefully we get a just dance 2030 lol
how did you manage to fit "Chinese" in this?
I wouldn’t call World At War final fronts a port, it’s completely different than it’s 360/ps3 counterpart.
That was said in the video
PC! Don't forget PC!
Zach the Sports Guy The label of the video is calling it a port, and that’s false.
It's kinda like call of duty 2 vs call of duty 2 big red one
Styrant Nooooo call of duty waw final fronts was a terrible game, cod big red one on the other hand is a classic shooter I will always love and cherish. Waw final fronts felt like it only existed to make a little extra money, but big red one truly felt like they cared about making the best shooter the ps2 would see.
Thank you!!! I played call of duty as a child exclusively on ps2, and seeing people talk about multiplayer and zombies and a fun campaign ALWAYS confused me because the world at war I played had none of that
This was my first cod game and I thought this was the shit back in the day.
The Puncakian same man glad I’m not the only one lol
Facts I had this game and although. It didn't have the gruesome edge as the other one this was iconic for me. At least you didn't have to sacrifice either of your partners at the end. Everyone survived.

I love MW2012 as it's own game. Shouldn't have been called an NFS game since it's a successor to Burnout Paradise at the end of the day but it's a great game.
same here, MW2012 was my first NFS game and my experience was pretty fun, might get the og most wanted for the 360
I remember playing this game many years ago at about 11, thinking it would be a nice, albeit graphically inferior, port of what’s to come for whenever I picked up a 360. Let me tell you, it wasn’t the first impression I was exactly looking for. It dissuaded me from the official CoDs until Black Ops, where I realized the experiences I’ve stripped myself from.
Me: Ma, I want Call of Duty.
Ma: We have Call of Duty at home.
*Call of Duty at home:*
Sadly my homie I own it too.
You picked the wrong house fool
I’m a piece of stinky poopoo
This was my first “cod”. Before I knew there were other cod’s, before I knew online multiplayer was a thing for cod. And I absolutely loved this game. I wish I could experience it for the first time again
Sounds like a terrible experience.
I remember when WAW came out I asked my mom for THIS I actually asked her, for final fronts but we went to gamestop and she got me the regular version instead and all I can say is...thank you mom I love you, you saved me from myself lmao
The PS2 was in such a weird spot in the late 2000s. It was still getting excellent exclusive titles like Persona 4 (which came out the same year as this) and Mana Khemia, but other games were half-made afterthoughts or watered-down versions of PS3/360 games.
It's honestly pretty fascinating
lmfao that "british" soldier sounded so shoddy. Great video mate!
C.O.D World At War's PS2 port was the first C.O.D game that I played. The nostalgia made the gameplay so much better.
Same here, this was my first one until i got a PS3 and MW2. I can't help but feel nostalgic when i see the stealth snow levels.
I still don't know how could Kacey just never be able to beat the game because he kept dying at the panzershreck part. All i can remember from my childhood was just not dying randomly when firing the second one.
Nice "Tourist Trophy" gameplay at the start when talking about 1080i Resolutions on the PS2
i played a lot of TT back in the day, but never on 1080i... if only i knew...
even the wii version got most if not all the features, feels bad
right? I have no doubt the PS2 could have handled online... and a sprint animation.
World At War on the Wii had all of the online modes, but not Zombies. Though this was fixed in the Black Ops Wii port, which had both. (I have a weird history with Wii CoD titles). I believe these can also still be played online, since it used external servers to connect users.
@@ResidentChuuni IT CAN I HAVE THEM FOR THE WII
@@ResidentChuuni Yep. Every COD on the Wii can still be played online today except WaW because it used nintendo's servers which got shut down in 2014.
@@TeamTeddy666 im form the future nintendo fucked the wii servers up so its hard to get on anymore
Why even sell it with the same title? Its criminally deceptive
This was pretty common practice back in the day. Remember when there would be a ps3 and Nintendo DS version of a game that where _completely_ different?
“Looks the nugget is pretty tight.”
Have you tried X-Lax Sgt. Roebuck?
One thing I noticed is that The character models were reused from previous games. Sullivan and Roebuck were reused models of McCullen and Dixon from CoD 3. The British SGT used the same model as Cpl Keith from CoD 3 and the American sgt in the European campaign looked like Sgt Hawkins from CoD 2 Big red One
I actually enjoyed this game. I may be a little biased because it was my first cod game but I actually found this as a good game
This cracks me up, when I was a youngin I remember playing Sega master system at a friend's and ps2 and dreamcast were a thing.
We didn't care about shit like that, if you or your friend had video games you played them, I remember playing the worst bowling game ever on genesis for hours because that's what was at my buddies aunts and uncles who would watch us, this was probably around 2000,
The internet ruined everything
i played this when it came out on ps2, at that time this game was mediocre at best, the internet didnt ruined anything, this game was already shit

"worse Big Red One." I'm sorry, are you implying that CoD: 2 Big Red One was a bad game? If so, you were either born after 2005, or you just have a sour taste in games.
@@ahumanwhomshallnotbenamed9404 I played Big Red One, it was good but nothing compared to Call of Duty 2. By that time I was also playing Brothers In Arms if that tells you my age.
Looks more like the COD games on the DS
back it up...you're treading dangerous ground
My first CoD was on the Wii and it was WAW. I actually loved it, sometimes I still wish I had a Wii copy. However we never got Zombies or coop the multiplayer, the glitches, and the campaign were all a blast. I remember seeing this in GameStop one day and thought about buying it for my PS2, until I looked on the back and noticed it wasn’t the same story at all.
And now we need a review of the most beautiful COD game out there, Black Ops III on the 7th gen consoles...
It still annoys me that the game was intentionally sabotaged to get 7th gen players over to the new consoles while still attempting to rake in the money they wouldn't have made if they didn't bother with the "port".
This was so good man, im super hung over rn and feel like shit but you got me laughing so hard. The miller nugget artillery thing was the best

Ayy, I found another person that likes Most Wanted 2012
yes! really good game! it's only sin was being called what it was!
@Russell D'Urban i agree, 05 was the better game, but i maintain that Most Wanted '12 is a very different game from Burnout and good on its own merits. it just shouldn't have been called what it was. i'll cover it in a video sometime.
I dunno. The game wouldn't be so bad for me if it weren't for the super stiff driving physics that feel like they were copy and pasted from NFS HP 2010 and dropped into a Midnight Club map, which just doesn't work. I can totally see why you might be able to enjoy it, but the physics just ruin it for me

With the great amount of Wii games that had identical ports on the PS2, they easily could have put the Wii version of WAW on the PS2. There was Sonic Unleashed, The Force Unleashed, and many other examples of games that were ported and worked. WAW could've been like The Force Unleashed and controlled better than on the Wii.
