It is fairly common to think of tekken as taking a turn or stealing a turn, like throwing out a move thats -9 on block is generally ending your turn, while yoshi 1+4 is so fast it can steal a turn. But at red ranks or even in low purple people literally are just pressing shit, so the concept goes out the window.
I haven't played the game but from I hear, I understand the training mode in T8 is very robust. He could easily sham a 2 hour stream of him labbing and the dents would pay for it. God forbid this clown even try to make it look like learning even a single character is one of his goals.
For the life of me, I do not understand why he's playing Yoshimitsu. He literally does not use any of Yoshi's unique mechanics (never uses any stances, never uses the UBs [though he did just learn how Samurai Cutter works in 1SS]) and adamantly refuses to learn how Flash actually works to the extent of his saying that it has no range before the move had its range nerfed. The only thing I can think of is that he is looking for a knowledge check character, or as he calls it, "AWDBAHL characters", which he doesn't use any mechanics Yoshi has to knowledge check people in a game where most of the cast has knowledge checks anyway. I haven't seen anyone get destroyed so hard by jab jab jab jab jab. He gets counter hit because he refuses to block, and just mashes big buttons. He got his super baited by run up and block and then tries to say that the person was in the middle of a move.
My favourite thing Fill does is get hit by a low, ask if it was a low "because i actually was blocking that time," then never attampts to block low again and complains that he keeps getting hit "for no reason"

It is fairly common to think of tekken as taking a turn or stealing a turn, like throwing out a move thats -9 on block is generally ending your turn, while yoshi 1+4 is so fast it can steal a turn. But at red ranks or even in low purple people literally are just pressing shit, so the concept goes out the window.
Actually, fighting games do have turns. It's all about frame data

I haven't played the game but from I hear, I understand the training mode in T8 is very robust. He could easily sham a 2 hour stream of him labbing and the dents would pay for it. God forbid this clown even try to make it look like learning even a single character is one of his goals.
For the life of me, I do not understand why he's playing Yoshimitsu. He literally does not use any of Yoshi's unique mechanics (never uses any stances, never uses the UBs [though he did just learn how Samurai Cutter works in 1SS]) and adamantly refuses to learn how Flash actually works to the extent of his saying that it has no range before the move had its range nerfed. The only thing I can think of is that he is looking for a knowledge check character, or as he calls it, "AWDBAHL characters", which he doesn't use any mechanics Yoshi has to knowledge check people in a game where most of the cast has knowledge checks anyway.

Nope. His reasoning is thats not how you learn the game. Even though there's combo trials to help you learn the moveset.
