You know, I am not a SF guy, but because of these videos I got some other people recommended and just thought to check them out. The difference in how they progress to Master is just astounding. Yeah, they might not win all the matches, but we are talking about constant 10+ win streaks while they look like they don't even try. Yes, there are differences between characters, but seriously, if you are truly good with your character, you should defeat these people with one arm behind your back.
Not just the gameplay but the mentality, too. Most Master players don't whine about every misplay under the guise of "the game cheated me, the other guy sucks!", they analyze what went wrong and try to fix it.
I’ve seen Hondas at gold pull off some pretty sick combos, they also use his hand attack (?) for pressure and to get plus. Seems like he plays the same way every time. He tries to headbutt at the start of the game a couple times and then things cascade. Also he never uses EX butt stomp, which is the actual anti-air.

That's why I began following Mister Metokur: He was watching DSP play Star Wars Battlefront (I think) and kept hearing "I didn't DO ANYTHING", "I did nothing wrong!", to which Metokur replied, "Maybe this is WHY you're getting shit on? You're standing there in the middle of this big ass map with someone shooting you and doing nothing to defend yourself". Same with fighters, you can see him jabbing, jumping or microwalking or dashing into neutrals then he EXPLODES so you can't hear the mashing. Sometimes gotta listen close in those BIG blowups, just hear that stick getting the beatdown lol
5:01 Honda doesn't suck, Phil is just garbage. Phil loves to think he picks low tiers to justify his ass beatings but Blanka is considered one of the better characters in the game and Honda sits comfortably in mid tier.

You know, I am not a SF guy, but because of these videos I got some other people recommended and just thought to check them out. The difference in how they progress to Master is just astounding. Yeah, they might not win all the matches, but we are talking about constant 10+ win streaks while they look like they don't even try. Yes, there are differences between characters, but seriously, if you are truly good with your character, you should defeat these people with one arm behind your back.

Not just the gameplay but the mentality, too. Most Master players don't whine about every misplay under the guise of "the game cheated me, the other guy sucks!", they analyze what went wrong and try to fix it.
I’ve seen Hondas at gold pull off some pretty sick combos, they also use his hand attack (?) for pressure and to get plus. Seems like he plays the same way every time. He tries to headbutt at the start of the game a couple times and then things cascade. Also he never uses EX butt stomp, which is the actual anti-air.

Well many pros consider Ken, Cammy, and Juri as top tier characters for good reasons. Luke is kinda up there too. But yeah Jamie and Ryu aren’t too bad if you have enough MU knowledge on them.

The most frustrating thing about watching him play this is that he’s his own worst enemy, like he *could* be a decent SF player, not super great or anything but decent, but his attitude is *so* awful and he just gives up instantly that instead of having any fun with the game or learning from matches he just grinds out this meaningless shit all so he can brag about it, I guess?
My favorite part is when he says the games lost due to matchup before it even starts. Phil will never be competitive in anything due to that mindset. Sport psychologists would have a field day with him.

I will never understand what he means by "guessing". So in a fighting game you're suppose to know exactly what your opponent is going to do? Sounds kinda boring to me.
In his streams I find the longer he plays the worse he gets and the more angry he gets. The first fights of his stream are incredibly boring.

This is easily the worst I've seen this dude play. So many terrible choices. And he has no desire to improve... One thing I do know is that SF6 is not a game you should play frustrated/angry. You're guaranteed to perform poorly. Take a break to get yourself together!
