He's only the king of retro when it comes to games he likes and played when he was younger. Otherwise the games aren't retro, they're just outdated. That's his excuse for hating DK64, so may as apply it to every other "retro" game he sucks at it.
He failed SOR2 twice, in 2012 and 2020. The difference is that he's somehow even worse in 2020 and used save states. It seems like he forgot more about how to play the game.
I'm amazed he quit it. King of Retro doesn't seem to know about level select codes.

The king of retro even with save scumming couldn't beat one of the best beat em ups ever. Add to the fact that I see 24 dollars in tips and it's a no brainier that DSP rage quit. He has better things to do like get ready for court in just over 2 weeks

I beaten it as a kid in the 90s as well and in his 1st SOR2 playthrough with John Rambo he had to use cheat codes to skip to the last stage, lol.

This was my game as kid man! You can't beat it with Skate alone, He's a high key player 2. I mean you can but let's say he's the hardest character to pick for single player and my least favorite. Not to mention the pigroach didn't even realize each character has a special special. Skate throws a flury of combos that can take out multiple dudes. In fact they all have one! Axel has a sick upper cut, blaze has a roundhouse, skate combo punches and the big type dude does a Zangief windmill.
As soon as he started I said to myself " he won't beat it! This gonna be good!" As always Phail didn't disappoint. King of retro hasn't beaten one Genesis title without save scumming thru the whole game which defeats the f'n purpose of playing a retro title to begin with. I hope he plays " Styder" next so we can all die laughing at his boomer hand eye coordination.

Isn’t it ironic that the self proclaimed “King of retro” can’t beat Street of Rage 2, a classic retro game that isn’t that difficult. Phil makes it look that way due to his terrible and lazy gameplay. Not even save scumming could help him. Despite embarrassing himself by rage/wage quitting, he still considers himself the king of retro, what a joke.

Streets of Rage is a classic! I beat that game many times when I was younger, even on the hardest difficulty. It breaks my heart to see this man-child ruin this game like that.

I had no issue beating Streets of Rage 2 alone, but then again the very wise DSP found all the bugged mechanics in the game.
I didn't have issues either, I beaten it on Hard, Hardest and Mania alone as well. Phil is just that bad at the game.

When you get thrown you press ‘up+C’ to land on your feet. Get grabbed? No problem, hit that A button and special out of it....THAT’S WHAT IT’S THERE FOR!
