This thing has 77 million HP... the original hard mode Minerva had 20 million. This has 2 attacks that can remove your raise status. So I just used SP Turbo and so many resources. Enjoy!
This is probably a speed record for the moment, but I am sure someone will beat it.

This method requires a lot of so. At the start he had 97 million SP. When he finished the fight he had like 20 million SP. For those that haven't noticed.
bro as soon as i saw her HP on hard i just turned off my ps5 and walked off im like F that im done with that shit lol
I first beat it on normal to get divine slayer, then changed back to hard and went with Magical Punch materia and Genji Shield, Genji Helm, Ziedrich and Divine Slayer. My successful attempt was 90 minutes long. This fight is mentally draining on hard mode. Flash Slash is her best move. Better than Judgement Arrow because as her health gets significantly lower, she spams that move more and Judgement Arrow gets easier to weaken or flat out cancel.
TL:DR - I basically used an exploit to beat this on hard mode.
The difference isnt really that big, you just heal less with curaga if you dont beat her with divine slayer and since potions got buffed its not a huge loss
Yeah Flash Slash is really dangerous on her 3rd phase. She sometimes uses it instantly as you get up especially if you died too close to her. The key is to save up your DMW so you can neutralize it and use a phoenix down ASAP
@Nova not really she has a certain pattern which once you learn is pretty easy to avoid
Her combos are 1-2 of the same random magic attack then photon then flash slash after which she either does it again or she does 2 flash slash in a row then maybe a magic spell at the end
She also sometimes uses ultima after the first combo after which she does the 2 flash slash combo guaranteed and after that she does the magic combo guaranteed
If you predict her attacks that leaves a lot more openings and you just need to keep your item on high potion in case you misplay
@@eroalduin7305 what I'm talking about was fighting the boss where you are 1 hit from everything which is probably same for most people upon reaching that mission. as you wake up she sometimes does a flash slash/thor's hammer before you even to use your phoenix down, this chance is increased a lot in the 3rd phase. that's why I'm telling to save the DMW so you can easily get out of that situation. obviously the best play is to not get hit to avoid phoenix down/revive animation but easier said than done
@Nova well if you are trying to fight minerva without at least maxed spr and vit then youre just making it more challenging for yourself
Genji shield is understandable but protect ring does the same job, hp break genji gloves and genji helm is easily obtainable if youre at minerva since you get them at that mission set and the rest is just materia fusion, 2 with 999% hp 2 with 100 spr 2 with 100 vit

I just finished my 2nd normal run ever. 10 million wasn't too heavy but damn. I DID NOT BLOCK, OR EVADE. She had 2 million health left after I drained 14 million SP with SP Master. Absolutely brutal damage. However, it's definitely possible to dodge and avoid and her move pool isn't nearly as bad as certain bosses from FF7 Rebirth. Hmm..
May try again, but if I beat her on hard I'm gonna be grinding SP for a long time lol. I'd want a minimum of 80 million SP.
IDK if SP Barrier and Turbo would have taken up less but yeah. Wow. That damage is super boss level. 1 hitters, 3 hitters and 2 hitters with the occasional lower damage attack.
I could get flash strike dodging down. The flame I didn't even pay attention to. Ultima I got away from all but once. The hammer did 40K. The arrow said 0 but 56k MP. the last 2 million wasn't too bad but damn that SP was gone. Hopefully I decide to take it on in hard mode if I can learn the moveset, because deep down I wanna do a skilled killing. So I have a pre Minerva save on normal for now. Seeing other people do it on hard is insane but motivating!
Even if another beat it faster or more skilled you can't sneeze at the fact that there aren't more than 3 digits worth of people who probably ever beat the hard mode version.
I used high jump aerial drain for normal but it looks like it will take about an hour without the gil. I tried electrocute and it only did 16K LOL.
How long did it take you to grind the first 100 million SP? I don't mind spending 6 hours in battles but beyond that...idk lol

Honestly this is the only viable way to kill her and keep your sanity. Being in this fight and focusing for an hour+ can mess you up really quick especially when she rolls into the ultima phase.
are u joking? this takes several thousand times longer to prepare than just slowly chipping away with costly punch
sorry, let me elaborate. Minerva has very simple attack patterns. There is like 4-5 phases and they're simple although I don't have them memorized as it only took me 6-7 times to beat her, dying because of greediness.
Phase 1 100-70% health
Very long pauses between attacks
Phase 2 70-55%
quicker between attacks, very often will do ice-fire and usually thunder but either way, you know you can always do 2 costly punches before fire and one after, make sure to roll back just incase thunder, no need to block everything. Spinny attack is used more, roll away from it, also roll from ultima. If you roll as often as possible from spinny attack, you can save your re-raise for ultima if you don't time your ultima roll. This is the only time you need re-raise
phase 4 55-30%
when she uses her little feather attack, it will always go into spinny attack so try to costly punch and roll away. Sometimes she will do 3 spinny attacks in a row, if you're good, you can costly punch her as soon as it says she will do that attack and it will knock her back and u can roll away but I never tried to do that, I got greedy several times and while in the costly punch animation, the spinny attack started so it hit her and rolled away.
Phase 5 30-0%
She uses thunder and spinny attack very frequently. Thunder is moderately easy to roll from but because I didn't want to throw my ps5 through my TV, I would roll towards her/block lightning into a costly punch and then roll back. She will also use fire back to back, this is a great time to punish because even if you're slow to connect the second costly punch, it will knock her back before the flame starts following you. If she uses an element, it isn't always back to back but she still does little feathers then spinny, this is hard to get more than 1 hit, depending on how many feathers hit u and push u back but because she uses ultima more, you can get a hit in as she is casting, that way you have less chance to nervously roll too early and eat the ultima.
The only suggestion I have that is related to coin toss is to have 5-6m on u and use it when she does her count down. You can either toss twice or do a 5 hit combo and then coin toss, this will save you a lot of gil if u want to use this method but not run out of gil. I've gotten the % down to 0 a few times with this, it's very convenient.
How to defeat god? Just throw money at them. 💰

Loooool I remember Gameshark. Unfortunately no. I had a review copy so there were NO cheats available to me. Further, the early build would constantly crash in weird ways... making grinding all of that SP and Gil very challenging.

It won’t do 99999 even with maxed stats plus the range of gil toss makes it convenient. This was also just an avant-garde way to cheese the fight for the speed record

Hopefully Rebirth keeps the HP/Damage values a wee bit less inflated. It's somewhat stupefying to see a matrix of 6 5-digit numbers show up on screen with all those darn tootin' flashes and flickers popping off in the periphery.
For the low cost of 800,000,000 sp you can do this too! Plus the 6 million to max your materias and the 95.00% on buster sword.

Шмот: Ziedrich, Genji Glove, Genji Armor, Genji Helm (в идеале, можно Laurel Crown, тогда 6 материя - Libra).
Материя: Aerial Drain на HP (200-300%), ATK UP++ на макс, HP UP++ на макс, SPR UP++ на макс, Costly Punch на VIT на макс, 6 слот на выбор (SP Turbo, Libra, Wall (не особо, ибо постоянно сбивается)). Всё на мастере, можно без мастера Aerial Drain (прокачается до 50кк хп)
Тактика: спам абилки Buster Sword'а, после Aerial Drain, повторяем (кроме момента со специальной атакой, Crimson's Flare, Ultima). При полоске силы способности используйте Costly Punch, после спамьте Aerial Drain (возможно даже увернётесь от спец атаки). Во время Absolute Ward блокируйте все атаки, дожидайтесь конца бафа.
Чего бояться:
-Crimson's Flare - самая опасная атака, сразу блокируйте её, когда появится возможность. При приземлении есть шанс, что нарвётесь на неё, но она не убивает с одного удара (наносит около 66к урона, что компенсируется Aerial Drain'ом). Потенциально может стакаться с другими атаками.
-Ultima, доджить, когда увидите белые круги.
-Специальная атака, каждый раз, когда у Минервы будет меньше x0кк здоровья (60кк, 50кк и тд) она будет использовать свою стрелу. Ни в коем случае не бездействуйте, когда достигли этого здоровья, но специальной способности нет (умер на 10кк), либо продолжайте атаковать, либо стойте в блоке, выжидайте стрелу.
-Около 50кк здоровья скорость атаки увеличиться в 2 раза.
Бой будет длиться около 30-60 минут
MINERVA HARDMODE GUIDE
Stats and buffs: ATK, SPR, VIT max, AP costs zero, Libra for HP tracking, Endure, Critical, 99k - HP and DMG cap. Buster Sword Perfection - 100%, or else you won't tank 100% DMG from Crimson's Flare.
Equipment: Ziedrich, Genji Glove, Genji Armor, Genji Helm ideally (Laurel Crown possible, then 6'th materia slot - Libra).
Materia: Aerial Drain on HP (200-300%), ATK UP++ MAX, HP UP++ MAX, SPR UP++ MAX, Costly Punch on VIT MAX, 6'th slot you choose (SP Turbo, Libra (if Laurel's Crown), Wall (not very good, because'll be dispelled constantly)). All mastered, Aerial Drain can be 1 star (will master around 50кк HP)
Tactics: spam Buster Sword ability, after Aerial Drain, repeat (except moment with special ability, Crimson's Flare, Ultima). When ability power gauge appears, use Costly Punch, then spam Aerial Drain (it is possible to dodge special attack even). During Absolute Ward block every attack until buff ends.
What to afraid:
-Crimson's Flare - the most dangerous attack, immediately block it, when the opportunity appears. It's a chance to face it after landing, but it doesn't one shot (deals around 66к DMG, that is replenished by Aerial Drain). Could potentially stack with other attacks.
-Ultima, dodge, when white circles appear.
-Special attack, everytime, when Minerva has less than x0кк HP (60кк, 50кк etc.) she'll use her arrow. DO NOT BE INACTIVE, when you reached this HP, but there's no special ability (died at 10кк), continue attacking or block, wait for the arrow.
-Around 50кк HP Minerva's attack speed'll increase in 2 times.
The fight lasts around 30-60 minutes, good luck

Former world Record. I released this video on launch day. And at the time, not only was I the world record holder. But… because I had a review copy… I was technically the first non-developer to beat Minerva on Hard, on November 26th, more than 2 weeks before release.
I’ve not seen 1 minute 22 seconds though for hard mode. Please link. Normal mode that’s easy, in hard mode, doing 77 million damage that fast seems… impossible.
Minerva isn’t exactly a hard boss, just very tedious and takes patience. I 100% crisis core reunion a couple days ago and couldn’t on the original when I was a kid

No it’s on Normal too… and it’s considerably more manageable
@@schrodingersbabyseal Well CC hard mode is kinda a lame hard mode since all it really does, is make everything a sponge encounter. I started my CC yourney on hard but since you only have to beat the end boss on hard for the trophy I switched back to normal in chapter 2. The grind is long enough even without the mobs having 1000% more life :D

How are you getting the damage with gil toss to always be 99,999? I can only get it to do like 20-30K? Like how much sp and gil do you need to do this. And do you need max attack or?
You need max attack, and for me to consistently do enough damage with gil toss through the fight… I needed 140 million gil and 70 million SP… BUT… you don’t need that much SP if you dodge more… I was going for speed.

SP Master materia spends SP to increase your damage dealt and decrease your damage taken. With enough SP even the hardest enemy in the game will do 0 damage

I found out from other runs that you can complete with about 140 million gil it spends based on fractions. You can use Heike soul and protect Ring and only end up spending 20 mil SP if you want

Grinding unfortunately, I have had the game since mid November. Sp grinding death claws and believe it or not I did a mixture of gil farming Minerva (by beating her in normal) and gold rolling pins from Tonberry. It was a lot… the game clock glitched at 50 hours, but honestly I’m probably sitting closer to 140, despite it saying 66

@@UlumogTheDestroyer in the Western Version of the Original Crisis Core you kept all your Stuff when you left quit the Mission. The Remaster is based of the JP Crisis Core where this Method wasnt possible. So for the Remaster you have to clear a Mission to keep all your Stuff....which sucks but it have some better Comfy Functions.

I used a max level SP master materia. With SP master, taking damage expends SP instead of HP… same as the original…

Remake is a sequel to ff7. Meaning Sephiroth is "remaking" the timeline.
You would need to use Costly Punch 778 times on hard mode! She had 20 million hp on hard mode during the PSP days, that's insane how much health she has. I think she's the superboss with the most HP throughout the entire Final Fantasy series now
