For a No Hit, defense doesn't matter. I only needed max 255 stat for ATK
Genji Glove - So all hits are crits, and breaks damage limit to 99,999
Genji Helm - So I don't use any AP and ultimately not having to use items. And Libra so I can keep an eye on her HP for the sub 10 million Ability charge ups. And to know exactly when her attack patterns change.
Cursed Ring - To stop DMW from doing anything.

I never beat Minerva in the OG because I could never get Octaslash to land in magic pot so I could get some defense, so I gave up.

If you up the Sword to 100% you'll take 0 damage from all attack except Ultima (but it's easy to dodge) and her ultimate

How are you doing so much damage with assault twister ? I have 255 attack but it’s not doing that much

Well, you need at least 2 SP Materia (Turbo, Turbo Attack, or Master) and that will give you max 99,999 (x3) with Twister from battle stance. In this video I used 4 which increased the damage of my Twister when not in battle stance. I don't recommend SP Master unless you're attempting a No hit because it drains A TON of SP to negate damage. Also, Genji Glove make all hits crit so that helps too I'm sure.
