[PSP] Crisis Core: FFVII - Minerva (Hard Mode: LLG + Low Stats)

- This is the earliest possible place to battle Minerva, It's "Chapter 5: Sector 5 Slums - Church". Beating Minerva with the initial Lv.6 stats is not that hard, although the preparation is very very very time consuming. lol
• FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS •
Q: Do you get something for playing a Low Level Game in Hard Mode?
A: You don't get anything. The purpose of this is to make the Hard Mode much Harder, and of course for some challenge.
Q: What about the low stats?
A: Well I've watch tons of Minerva Battles here in RUclips and notice that almost all of them are maxing thier stats, so I thought if it's possible to beat Minerva with low stats (Lv.6 primary stats) so I've tried it and here's the result.
Q: Why equip Brutal and Sniper Eye while you can equip the Genji Glove?
A: Cause Genji Glove is too mainstream. And just to fill the slot lol
Q: Why equip Laurel Crown while you can buy Genji Helm?
A: Actually Genji Helm is not necessary. I just only need the "AP 0" to dodge roll when Minerva use Crimson Flare and Flash Slash to get near to her to deal maximum damage of Gil Toss. The other reason I did'nt buy the Genji Helm because I want to buy 99pcs of them which worth 99,000,000 Gil. Once you buy 1 you can't buy it anymore, well making 99,000,000 Gil is another story and not necessary in this preparation.
Q: Why not equip Protect Ring?
A: I know it will lessen the amount of SP use in battle, but it will increase the SPR stat by 20. I want to preserve the Lv.6 primary stat, that's why I also converted the Gil Toss +1 ATK to HP+20%.
Q: Why equip Twisted Headband?
A: Actually I don't need the Endure ability, just want to fill the slots. Same reason for Brutal and Sniper Eye. lol
Q: How did you get so much Gil and SP?
A: I used the Gil and SP Trick. You can google a detailed FAQ for this.
Q: How much total Gil did you accumulate in this process?
A: The nearest number is 256 million Gil. This is for both the SP convertion and Gil needed for Gil Toss.
Q: How much Gil is needed for Gil Toss?
A: Atleast 60 million Gil. But to be sure, I prepared 90 million Gil. This is needed to deal the maximum 99,999 damage.
Q: How much Gil is needed for SP Convertion?
A: Incase you don't have any extra SP, you need 165,900,000 Gil.
Q: So how many "Dualcast Materia" do I need to buy to max my SP?
A: You need atleast 5530 Dualcast Materia. Note you can only buy a materia for a maximum of 99pcs, so you need to convert the 99 Dualcast and repeat the process 54 times. Also note that it's just my estimation and round-offs, this might be wrong.
Q: So how many times did you steal and died from Minerva for this whole process?
A: More or less 505 times. Note that it's just my estimation and round-offs, this might be wrong.
Q: How come you have a 10% on Sephiroth's DMW while you're Cursed all the time?
A: Octaslash occured during my fight with the Behemoth at the start of the game. I did'nt restart the game cause I don't want to re-watch the lengthy intro movie again. lol
Q: So did you hacked or cheated this game?
A: Do you think I'll waste for almost 44hrs of gameplay just to cheat? lol

I only get my level to a decent amount like 35 or 40 before this because I usually don't have the patience to get good enough items low leveled (and this is on normal too so congrats to you o-o)

Interesting that the game assumes you've progressed far enough to have the Buster Sword
I think the fight with MINERVA uses a fix model of older Zack...the devs thought she was impossible to beat early game 😅 (well credits to the original person who attempted this, forgot his/her name 'cause this is like 9 years ago)

You did all those grindings in just 43 hours?
If I remember right, the video that inspired me to try this has around 30hrs+ in-game time. Well it depends on how much you die cause dying in missions will just bring you back in the save point with the items, exp, etc you got as far as I remember...can't really remember cause I played this on an actual PSP 7 years ago. I think it's more tedious to farm in hard mode if dying will net you a game over screen tho...

How. I have LVL 94, full Genji set and still couldn't beat her. How long did you grind SP and Gil?

I did have difficulties having max level and full genji set on my first attempt to even on normal mode...this 'toss gil trick' was a trend back then (original PSP).
Just take note that grinding this on REUNION while attempting the 'Zack default level run' is way too time consuming cause you can't just steal phoenix down on minerva then quit the mission.

Nah, all the damage has been convert into SP consumption, as you can see, his SP rapidly drop as him taking damage.
@@marea3790 when he runs out of sp after minerva's signature attack he still can't receive damage.

I know this is 5 years too late lmao, but I looked it up, the SP Master materia gives a 20% boost to damage, as well as, gives a 20% reduction in damage taken, and it is a stackable bonus, so with the 5 sp masters he had equipped, he essentially has 100% damage reduction. Until he runs out of sp of course.

The fact that you deal 99999 damage while taking 0 damahe just shows you using cheats. Even at 255 vitality you still get damaged a lot
Do you even played Crisis Core back then? This is a trend back then, this is just my attempt
I'm pretty sure you didn't know much about the materias in this game, so I'll quote you this:
• SP MASTER MATERIA •
-expends SP to increase power of Zack's attacks and decrease damage done by enemy attacks
-damage increase/decreases 20% per Materia level
-effects stack with other equipped materia of same type
...so 5pcs of SP MASTER MATERIA is literally 100% damage decrease, that's why any damage will deal 0 damage as long as have you enough SP
Same applies to GIL TOSS MATERIA, you'll always deal 99999 damage as long as you have high amount of gil + depending how close you are to the enemy, it will deal multiple damage (like a shotgun)
@@Anthrenz im pretty sure your a dick. I grew up with Final Fantasy VII and yes i played it back on psp and i still have it on psp and on ps4/ps5 and i had all materia that you stated equipped and Minerva still deals damage to me.
@@chrislionheart3087 1. Sorry for sounding like a dick, I'm just trying to explain the mechanics.
2. Even if you have 5pcs of SP MASTER equipped, you also need a ton of SP. Because having those 5pcs equipped without enough SP is quite useless 'cause you can't negate the enemies damage if you're low on SP.
3. Some details are also mentioned in this video description. I also stated that I used the "Gil and SP trick" 'cause this is main preparation for all of this, plus the detailed info on this can be found on gamefaqs. You can check this video that inspired me and the others back then: ruclips.net/video/JOUfzbslFVc/видео.html (take note that his game time is just around 35hrs compared to mine which is almost 44hrs...the lowest game time I remember of a player who attempted this for preparation of "GIL+SP trick -> MINERVA" is around 25hrs back then)
