I really appreciate the detail you're able to capture with your camera. I was having trouble getting the clip back in place, even after watching this, but after seeing this I knew I was on the right track and just needed to keep on trying.
Simple and clear explanation of the process. Clear camera. Just what I needed for 2012 model. Thank you for not assuming and doing the best you can! If anyone has any questions for the 2012, let me know!
We just purchased a 2011 Sonata. After owning a 2007 Volvo XC90. It was a nightmare for any maintenance. I am finding how simple and straightforward the Sonata is. Thank you so much for the well done tutorial, good camera work, no frills, a masterpiece.
Nice camera work and lighting! I would only add that one should not touch the glass part as oils from your finger can reduce the life of the bulb. You did not touch it but others might not know this.
Thank you for this simple how to! Bulb takes a little of patience on the airbox side -- but VERY easy indeed. Excellent camera work too, much appreciated!
Last year I did this without watching a video first and it was tricky. Now I have to replace my low beams again and this video clears up how to do the fiddly part with the clip. Thanks!
I am a woman. At the dealership getting my recalls done. I need a right head lamp The service advisor tells me it’s about $80. I’ve replaced it before but I had a garage and it’s raining today- really hard! Bought the $30 bulb. Watched your amazing and thorough video heading to the mall parking garage after I leave here! Never underestimate a customer’s understanding of “fair and reasonable”! Thanks to you, it’s easier than I remember! Saved myself $50!
I’m about to try it now. They tried to charge me $100 to do it. I’m about to be a mechanic for a day… and yes, changing headlights makes me a mechanic (tree shade)😜😜😜
This is a great video. THANKS. Watching it gave me the confidence to swap out my halogen for LED. I've done before, just always forget. One small suggestion: when pointing to small places, like at the end when pointing to small hook for wire clamp, maybe try using just an ordinary pencil as a pointer. Works slick. Thanks again!
Thanks for this video, I was trying to take pin/clip off first and then take the blub out and take the plug off. I could never put the clip back on properly, it's hard to see and upsidedown. This video clears up everything! Thanks again!
Thank you!!! I was able to change my 2014 with this vid. But let's be honest, with that pin, you're going in blind!!! I tried all angles and couldn't see it. I appreciate the attention you gave to it. I ended up using touch and feeling for the notch it should fit into, and voila! Easy peezy. Thanks!
I wish I had watched this first! I removed the screw and the spring clip went flying. I had to study the good side to see how to hook the retaining spring clip back in place.
Thanks for the video! I was able to do this myself without my husband! He always complained and said his hands were to big to change my headlights. So this time I didn’t need his help. Yay!
Lining up the bulb 💡 fixed my problem. I kept asking myself why am I having such a difficult time connecting the little bar thing. I couldn't get it off tonight and that did it 😩 Your video helped me know what I was doing wrong. Thanks 😊 🙏
This really helped me, with a VW Jetta 2012 model actually. So I think someone retrofitted an after market wiring harness for the driver side. Passenger side is like all other VW videos just twist and pull.
Saved me probably about an hour of confusion. Driver’s side is a bit more difficult cause of accessibility issues, but still only took me like 10 minutes and it’s my first time doing it.
Thank you so much for this video! One note: in my 2009 Sonata, there was a little button on the side of the black connector plug that had to be depressed in order to pull it out. So it didn't pull straight out until you pushed the small button on the side of the plug. Thanks again!
Thanks. Was looking for a vid for a older model. But this is pretty much the same. No messing about straight to the point, unlike the others that all seemed obsessed with the cap rather than the bulb! Thanks again 👍
Nice, detailed, well lit, and "close-up" instructional video which makes an easy job out of changing the bulb. It would take a bit longer without your help. Thanks very much B.C. :-)
Thanks for the video. I figured it was something simple, just didn't want to man handle it and break something:. :) This would have driven me crazy with the clamp
I’m going to try this out next time I’m at work and a customer needs this kind of bulb. The video looks much more helpful than any I’ve seen when dealing with these particular bulbs, so I’m feeling optimistic.
I changed the bulb just fine. That clamp is the part that I struggled with. Mines was not attached that it. It came completely off, then I had to play puzzle games to get it back on.
So many women are intimidated to try these these things. I’ve had bulbs in my glove box in the event that a headlight blew. I was about to go to the dealership and would’ve paid $60 for what took me 2 minutes to do myself for less than $10.
Thank you professional video. I have been struggling with my daughter's car. For some reason after a few days the light goes off. I'm guessing either I'm doing it wrong or bad ground. I will try again tomorrow.
I really appreciate the detail you're able to capture with your camera. I was having trouble getting the clip back in place, even after watching this, but after seeing this I knew I was on the right track and just needed to keep on trying.
Same...right now!😫
Simple and clear explanation of the process. Clear camera. Just what I needed for 2012 model. Thank you for not assuming and doing the best you can! If anyone has any questions for the 2012, let me know!
That was the simplest (and quickest) headlight bulb change I’ve ever done - appreciate the “how to”.
a tip : watch movies on Flixzone. I've been using them for watching loads of movies recently.
@Kristopher Nicolas definitely, I have been using flixzone for since november myself =)
Until you go to the Drivers Side.
@@maddog57ful The drivers side for me wasn't too bad either.
We just purchased a 2011 Sonata. After owning a 2007 Volvo XC90. It was a nightmare for any maintenance. I am finding how simple and straightforward the Sonata is. Thank you so much for the well done tutorial, good camera work, no frills, a masterpiece.
I have the same thing! My first vehicle ever purchased and three years into it, minimal maintenance! They really are good vehicles!
Nice camera work and lighting! I would only add that one should not touch the glass part as oils from your finger can reduce the life of the bulb. You did not touch it but others might not know this.
Everyone knows that or should lol
Thank you for this simple how to! Bulb takes a little of patience on the airbox side -- but VERY easy indeed. Excellent camera work too, much appreciated!
I have to compliment you too! Excellent visual instruction ❤
Last year I did this without watching a video first and it was tricky. Now I have to replace my low beams again and this video clears up how to do the fiddly part with the clip. Thanks!
I literally just did this for my 2014 in about 3 minutes! I’m so excited lol, thank you❤️
I don’t normally comment on many videos but this how to was incredibly descriptive and helpful.Appreciate the thoroughness!
Watched this video twice and went straight outside and changed my headlight. Thank you so much for your great explanation and how to!
Thanks you! I couldn’t work the spring out. One video had the bumper off and the whole assembly out of the car. Big time saver, I owe you a beer.

Nice! Great job.
Next time, do not buy the bulb at the dealership. Auto parts store is about $10 to $14 for original type.

Very helpful ! Step by step. I followed his instructions and had no problems. Would definitely like to have more videos for this make and model .
Thank you very very much! I was able to fix my headlights in less than 10 minutes all by myself thanks to your tutorial!
I’m about to try it now. They tried to charge me $100 to do it. I’m about to be a mechanic for a day… and yes, changing headlights makes me a mechanic (tree shade)😜😜😜
Well done video! Quick, easy, and detailed. Perfectly made for those of us that want to get straight to the point.
U CAN PUSH DOWN THE PIN???
Simple and clear explanation of the process and great camera work. Nicely done
And here I thought it was gonna be difficult, but turns out was easy as heck! Great vid
The Drivers side is a Headache.
This is a great video. THANKS. Watching it gave me the confidence to swap out my halogen for LED. I've done before, just always forget. You sir just saved me 25 bucks for install...much appreciated.
Thank you so much, it took me 5min to fix both headlights. Your awesome.
Thanks for this video, I was trying to take pin/clip off first and then take the blub out and take the plug off. I could never put the clip back on properly, it's hard to see and upsidedown. This video clears up everything! Thanks again!

Me too but in my case the clip broke the stem above the screw
And now it seens like I'll need to change my entire headlight
Great job showing it all up close. That little hook and notch on the clip is not something I would have caught very easily.
Thanks for the video! I was able to do this myself without my husband! He always complained and said his hands were to big to change my headlights. So this time I didn’t need his help. Yay!
Oh, and I forgot do mention I did it faster then him! Lol!
Nice job! Glad my video helped.
It's videos like this that make the internet truly worth it
Awesome! Super helpful, and I loved the camera angles you were able to get. Thank you!
I would have figured this out - I've done it before - but it is so nice to go out to the car knowing EXACTLY what I need to do. Many thanks!
Thank you so much. I was having a hard time changing it.
Lining up the bulb 💡 fixed my problem. I kept asking myself why am I having such a difficult time connecting the little bar thing. I couldn't get it off tonight and that did it 😩 Your video helped me know what I was doing wrong. Thanks 😊 🙏
Thank you very much, I'm another one in the crowd of people for whom you've saved a great deal of hassle
Much simpler then I thought on my 2013 2.0t thanks for uploading!
Just changed my lights , thank you , I didn’t quite clip the things back on all of them but I don’t have to drive in the dark thanks to you buddy

Hey man this is the best video on these bulb replacements.. that clip had me boggled but your video was so thorough thank you.
Dude. That was fantastic. Perfect detail. No stupid music. I did 2 bulbs in like 10 minutes (the drivers side was a tad tight) Thanks a lot.
Thanks to your video, I burned through the bulb replacement in less than two minutes. Great video! Thanks! Peter Black, Halifax, Canada
Driver side pretty much same thing. Thanks for the video help make this a quick and painless job.
Thank you so much for this video! One note: in my 2009 Sonata, there was a little button on the side of the black connector plug that had to be depressed in order to pull it out. So it didn't pull straight out until you pushed the small button on the side of the plug. Thanks again!
Thank you. You helped ease my frustration, and blood pressure. Thanks again.
very easy, thank you. probably saved me $100+ having a shop do it. you're awesome.
This was the best video on this light bulb change. Thank you.
I just changed my headlights because of you!! It was super easy! Thank you!! Many blessings to you!
Glad I was able to help.
Thanks so much! I need to change my light bulb and you just saved my life
Thanks. Was looking for a vid for a older model. But this is pretty much the same. No messing about straight to the point, unlike the others that all seemed obsessed with the cap rather than the bulb! Thanks again 👍
Thank for this video. I was able to install my own light bulb 💡
Thank you for showing the orientation of the tab. Was lookin for that info for my Chevy Cruze with aftermarket headlights
Thank you very much I just changed my headlight because of your video. I appreciate it so easy to change!!
You literally saved my life.as a female I just don't understand why you repair one thing and then it's just another so I'm going to do this tomorrow
as a teen girl thats always scammed by auto shops i appreciate this so much.
Thanks. Couldnt see the little latch in another video I watched. This was very helpful!
Thank you! Made it easy to swap my halogen for LED❤
Nice, detailed, well lit, and "close-up" instructional video which makes an easy job out of changing the bulb. It would take a bit longer without your help.
Thanks very much B.C. :-)
Really nice detailed focus with the camera. Really helpful
Thanks for the video. I figured it was something simple, just didn't want to man handle it and break something:. :) This would have driven me crazy with the clamp
Nice camera work! Very clear description! Thanks!
The camera view and surgical extraction were pristine! Kudos and many thanks!
Thank you so much. It was easier then I thought. You made it easier to install it.
Way easier than the taillights. Thanks for this!
You made it Quick and simple thanks helped a lot
Perfect video and easy even for a gal like me...thank you for making it doable!!! You're the best!
This video is so incredibly helpful, thank you!!!
Great video, great camera work and explanation 👍 ...
Thank you! You saved me lots of time.
Very helpful, especially since autoparts store sold me the wrong bulb. With right one I could replace in 10 minutes. Thank you.
I’m going to try this out next time I’m at work and a customer needs this kind of bulb. The video looks much more helpful than any I’ve seen when dealing with these particular bulbs, so I’m feeling optimistic.

Thank you sooo much me and hubs was struggling to put metal piece back on. Great video
Great video instructions!! I just changed my lightbulbs today
Appreciate the video, I have a 2012 sonata with the original bulbs starting to get dim needing replaced.
Outstanding. Watched a few other vids first. To the point. Excellent camera work. Saved me prolly an hour. Next up? How to aim and adjust!
This helped me replace my lights so easily! Thank you so much!
RUclips university never fails 👏🏾 👏🏾
Thank you so much! I couldn't have done this without you!
Thank you! Straightforward explanation and it got the job done.
Thank you! I’m replacing mine tomorrow.
This video worked perfectly.. thank you 😊
Thank you very helpful. Easier than I thought.
fantastic camera work and lighting!! thank you!!
Nice, clear video I can show in class. Thanks!
Thank you! Just saved me $25 to pay the mechanic to change my light bulb
Great video. I would only suggest to emphasize to folks not touch the glass of a halogen bulb.
I changed the bulb just fine. That clamp is the part that I struggled with. Mines was not attached that it. It came completely off, then I had to play puzzle games to get it back on.
Your camera view is fantastic we see everithing so clearly Thanks !!
Worked like a charm. Thank you so much!!!
Easy Peasy!! So glad I didn’t have to replace whole unit! Part # would have been good but thanks!
So many women are intimidated to try these these things. I’ve had bulbs in my glove box in the event that a headlight blew. I was about to go to the dealership and would’ve paid $60 for what took me 2 minutes to do myself for less than $10.
Remove all men from your life as well.
You will be much happier.
I’m so into doing things myself and I’m a woman lol
I don't want to pay dealer $100 plus to do this. Sir Thank you for this video.
The clip is a bunch of BS. It is unnecessary. There are way simpler designs out there, like twist-n-lock for example.
😊aq
I didn't watch this video originally and I completely removed the bracket. Without this video I would've probably installed the bracket incorrectly.
Used this to easily replace the lights in my used '12 Sonata. Thanks!
Thank You for your video save me extra work
GREAT VIDEO!! SAVED ME SOME TIME & MONEY!! 👍🏾
thank you, very clear well lit and very good instructions
Thank you! I will try this tomorrow. Very helpful and informative. Looks easy so hopefully it is haha. Thank you once again!!
Just got done doing mine... with the pin, i just felt it cuz it was hard to see. Lol. Thanks love
Thanks you made it clear and easy
Thank you so much. You save me a lot of money. I have subscribed
Thank you professional video. I have been struggling with my daughter's car. For some reason after a few days the light goes off. I'm guessing either I'm doing it wrong or bad ground. I will try again tomorrow.
So helpful and no nonsense. Thank you
