I did the same thing on my Supra ‘97, but with 600, 1500 & 3000 grid. Thanks, your video inspired me to do it, and not waste extra money on something fixable like this! Cheers.
Great! Job brother.....I have a 2003 Cadillac deville. The car looks new and very low miles....but there's one thing that is wrong with car and that's the head light lenses.....thanks to you, I have saved myself 200 dollars for new lenses....thanks again brother..👍👍
Nice job looks great I've done this method to a couple of my daily drivers works incredibly well lasting years since. I prefer removing the headlight for better coverage but some cars are just such a pain in the ass to remove & not really worth the extra Time and aggravation
Great job . I've seen so many videos where the guy uses clear and it always makes them worst or even fogier then they where after all that sanding lol but you said it when the clear dries up they will clear to a bright shine and sure as hell they did ,,
nice easy and cheaper than those expensive kits that only last a few weeks if your lucky.. did this and my lights look brand spanking new and just to think i was gonna buy a new headlight set on ebay for almost $230 smh thank you ..
Personally since this stream was made people are beginning to realise the down side of using 2k clearcoat on headlights? it's primarily function is for Car bodies only!! Unless it's written on the can otherwise stay Clear!!Other points to remember once this can as been activated by way of pressing the Red button on the bottom of the can you can't use it again because the shelf life of this product is way to short owing to the fact that over a short time the hardener will set the remaining liquid!! The drying and cureing time is exceptionally long!! And lastly when restoration comes around again which it will (Nothing is permanent) 2k is a Nightmare to remove!!! As you've just witnessed mutable layers was applied making light transmission worst!! It's far better to buy a certified headlight Clearcoat that is manufactured for polycarbonate headlights only, I could recommend probably the best Clearcoat on the market today, But won't, Do your research you'll find it yourself anyway!! 🤔😎👍
Done this with plastic long before most of you have been alive! I don't believe in snake oil.Because it doesn't work! I have seen others fail. Protect painted areas.use common scenes tape or remove. start with wet sand 400 600 grit depending on cloudiness. Don't be very aggressive until you see how it cuts. work in one direction only, work your way up to 800. then use a power buffer to polish. use a product like Meguiar's DIAMOUND CUT COMPOUND 2.0 85. When you are using a power buffer.the heat that is generated seals the plastic. One could make a business of doing this. takes about an hour per light, depending on how bad. Last for years! Done this with plastic long before most of you have been alive!
That's TOTALLY ridiculous and ABSURD as well as PATHETIC! Why have to buy so much and can't guarantee that they'll work. I don't have the time and money to pay for all that supplies. I'd like to buy and keep it very simple!
If you aren't using a 2K clear with a hardener you are better off just going to a 1500/3000 grit, polishing and then waxing. A regular clear will not stand up to road conditions.

Dude, tried it. Worked great.
What is the name of the spray you used on it (the essential chemical ingredients)???
Thank you for making it so clear and explaining it so well..
You could also use 3m rubbing compound
I miss the old glass headlights.
Excellent information... Very helpfull!!
That was a very neat presentation, I will try your method because my headlights needs it badly. Thanks!
Hey thanks for sharing , I followed your procedure and the head lights came out great!!!!
Love the Running Bear song in the background!
My headlights are much better, but the clearcoat dried with an alligator skin / broken glass type pattern. Do you know why? Thank you.
Thank you for sharing. I tried one of those kits from the auto store that didn't work.
Yeah that’s for sure Sheldon from Big Bang giving this demo
Great instructions! IT REALLY WORKS! Thank you
Perfectly executed!

I used turtle paste wax and have never had a problem with UV
i did this but I used a polishing disc in my drill and used rubbing compound.....silverpolish also works. no sandpaper and no spray.
Sorry to bother i did everything but when i applied the clear code looks like cracks please tell me what i did wrong
not sure what you did wrong... but if any contaminants are left on the lens that can happen and you don't want you coats to be too thick
@@helpinguonline thank you bro i just did the ones for my wife's suburban and they came out nice thank you for your help
nice work my brother!!!!
Great job 👌
Ok, so what kind of paint? Never mentioned that.
Very nice presentation, thank you.
Put toothpaste on let dry then clean with toothbrush and water 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Dave p
Do you think it will work on my plastic headlight?
The headlights I did in this video are plastic. The old glass headlights did not fog up from UV rays and did not have this problem
Very well done informational
very nice job thanks
that looks really good....ill do this on my jeep.....
That's really cool! Thanks!!!!

My car is almost five years old & just starting to get scratchy & foggy in some spots of the headlight lenses. Stupid sandstorms in Phoenix.
