I find the best way to keep my wheels in perfect condition is to not let my wife drive my car.
I restore alloys for a living and I’m very impressed only thing I would say is if you’re doing it at home take the wheels off and spray them flat on their backside so you get less runs on the clear coat, mad 4 motors is a very experienced man 👌🏻
thank you for teaching a clueless and broke 18 year old girl how to fix her ruined wheels this is a lifesaver
This is what RUclips was meant for. Simple and direct instructions. Good stuff.
people don’t realize how it can be easy but “we” people are the ones who hit in the wallet by repairing the wheels. But this guy showed us how it’s amazing how we can save money. Thank you, for sharing this and showing how to repair the wheel
My wife and daughters think the purpose of a wheel is to let you know when you hit the curb.
I found a guy on Yelp that does this for a living. Does mostly new Audis for a dealership. I scraped one wheel pretty bad on my Lexus. He had a great mobile set up. Fixed it right on the street for $45 dollars. 30 minutes and a perfect match. 4 years later and I still have a very hard time finding the rim that he fixed.
Great video! After watching this video I've decided that curb rash isn't so bad after all. I'll just leave it.
That's one of the best card tricks I've seen in a while!
This will keep me occupied for a day or so while on lock down, luckily I have a fantastic wife who has given alloys loads of bashing of the kerbs cause she knew I would need things to do on lock down 👍
Hi guys
Deck of cards and stuffing the back of the alloy with plastic sheeting to protect the brake system - absolutely genius. What a brilliant demonstration.
I have to say I'm absolutely astounded by the number of comments on this video. Who knew so many people were interested in DIY fixing curb rash on their rims? Makes me feel better to know so many of you actually have curb rash just like me and now I don't think I can be bothered fixing it because I will only cry if I go to so much trouble, do a great job and then curb 'em again soon after!
Late to the party - but great vid! Simple, easy...inexpensive...doesn't require much in tools or equipment. Perfect! My old car had one wheel scuff and I just lived with it for years.
Hello and THANK YOU for making this video. My monster personal mobility power wheelchair had lovely chrome hubs - until I was first teaching myself to use the joystick control and skidded a little bit in tighter cornering or doorways that are really narrow. THIS is the perfect answer to fixing those few sad issues and make her all new and shiny again!
Simple video, no silly music, just , this is what you do, ! I like the card idea, I used masking tape previous to seeing this but would deff use the cards next time ....
I'm going to get to do this with my daughter over the summer. I bought a car that runs great but looks shabby, so I want to spend time fixing things that bug me! Thank you for the how to, and great tips!
Did this myself after watching your video. Saved me hundreds of dollars! Thanks a lot!
Great video. Thank you. I refurbished the 4 wheels on my car. I bought all the material required for about £50. I took the wheels of the car to work on a bench and used masking tape and newspapers. Thanks again from the UK
Very interesting presentation, l especially appreciate the cards used to protect the tires. But seriously I didn't know one could repair scuffs on the rim. Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
