This has a criminally low amount of views. What a legendary band & performance
Couldn't agree more. I just shared this to a couple people.
This is the song I play at every party once. Such passion and it definitely resonates with the Texas homies
You are not kidding. March 2023 and my like is #999, sad
I wholeheartedly agree! Thankful for those who post these gems ! xo
Agreed one of the greatest bands ever Phil Lynott was so kick ass thos whole band was the shit wish Phil was still around wonder what they would have put out
Brian Robertson, Snowy White, Scott Gorham, Gary Moore as lead players made such great music with Phil and Downey. I love Thin Lizzy. So lucky to have seen them at the Palladium in '77. The mezzanine was a crazy place that night.
One more comment I promise. Dual guitar solos are just superb
yes they were the masters.....4 piece not enough
Dual guitar great but it was Phil
Yes-their guitarists were the best. Masters. But Phil and his vocal prowess fronting the band. Oh yeah.
I saw them live twice in liverpool . At the empire in think was 1980 I was 16 best gig can you imagine how excited i was?!🎉I shouted Phil s name that loud he shone his guitar(I like to think that😂 )at me I ll never forget❤ I saw them many years later without Phil rip😢I miss him
I was born in 57. I’ll die happy
1952 here, I'm with you
Only 4K views needs a million
Over 38K and climbing
My favourite track on this LP which I still play on my stereo and blast the walls with those fantastic sounds. Ahhh! they dont make songs like this
any more these days xx
It’s so crazy, I’ve always been a fan of them, but only knew a handful of their songs. I knew Whiskey in the Jar was originally them, but my uncle requested this song at a bonfire a couple of years ago, and I couldn’t believe that I had never heard this song in my 27 years alive.
I was born in the wrong decade. Wish I could've seen them back in the day
I feel for you. I saw them a bunch of times and met them backstage. Wish you could’ve seen them. Maybe the best live band ever. Phil had an innocently playful way about him that just worked
@@0211571 That's awesome!!
One of the coolest bands ever to storm the stage!!!!!
One of the bands I wish I could've seen live, classic!!
Saw them once in 76-77 (damn I wish I could remember), but we're talking 45 or + yrs ago. Loved them, and they blew everyone off the stage. I've prob seen 2,000 bands between 76- to just 95 (Pantera/Rob Zombie, and 1 other), but I was always partial to the 70' s concerts 😮 Of course I was in my teens, and already fronting my own bands 🤘🎤🎸🔥🎩💯
Legends ♥️♥️♥️
A trick: you can watch series on Flixzone. I've been using it for watching loads of movies recently.
@Julio Roy yup, I have been using flixzone for years myself =)
This is one of the best examples of how rock shows should be. God damn this is golden. Born in 91 so I unfortunately never got to see Thin Lizzy but I’m happy to have grown up on them so they are in constant play rotation in my household.
Phil and this band were amazing miss them alot
Never get sick of Lizzy shows how good they are 🎉🎉
Lizzy, U2, Gary Moore & Van Morrison all make me proud to me half-Irish 🇮🇪 🍀
Saw them as warmup for Queen. One of the greatest double bills
🥰
Queen were very jealous and cut the time of Thin Lizzy's performance.
Ironic...I saw Queen supporting Mott The Hoople in 1973 😊
Lynott was like a Lead guitarist school that only the best got to go through. Did Phil say, when it was time- NEXT GUITARIST! Oh, good job, - here is your diploma
They had a punk aesthetic to them the way they moved about on stage, not just standing at the microphone and doing a job. Great chemistry.
Right! And the Converse Chucks didn't hurt either
I was lucky enough to see them 3 times Live.
I went to their last concert even though I didn't like their last album as much as the others (Chinatown) , JUST BECAUSE their performance was so great on stage.
Was not disappointed and made me appreciate Chinatown more than I did before.
No, they don't. Not even close. I don't know what you think punk rock is but this ain't it.
@@robertthomas7239 I am not talking about the music sounding like it, I just mean their attitude and stage presence.
@@brantisonfire 🙄
Seen them live on 7 occasions magnificent live act .
Always missed them. I know they opened for rush.
I saw them in Bremen, Germany in 1980 or 1981. We were right in the front - right up against a rail in front of the stage that we were constantly pushed up against. I had sore ribs for weeks after that.
Great tune one of my favourite Lizzy tunes 👍
Seen them in 78 my first concert at st louis
Both Awesome Song's Band Singers Performers Songwriters Guitarists Still Listen To Thin Lizzy
Una botella de ron, mi mejor amigo, un video de Thin Lizzy ...y con eso era feliz!!!
super Trio . Phil Lynott and Gary Moore so dearly missed.
I love this double of songs. Watched it live in London 1975 . There was that leslie running.
I think I am the only Austrian (and my friend Chris) to saw a live gig of Thin Lizzy !
I have loved these 😊guys for 40 years. Why aren’t they in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Because the r & r hall is a sham
Phil had pipes go on sir
I saw them in Erlangen west Germany and I loved it
I LOVE THIS VERSION OF COWBOY SONG
Btw. Met Scott. Great guy
What an incredible band. God, just amazing!
This song jams!!!
Greatest proper Rock Band!
Cowboy song is lizzy greatest hands down. Whiskey in a jar is as well
I am just a cowboy, lonesome on the trail, guess who just got back today: Can it be better than this?!
Two songs that have to be played together. It's great to see Snowy White playing. I'd not seen him playing with the band, but his contribution to their album, Chinatown is superb. A favourite album of mine.
Thanks for posting this video 😊
Phil was so messed up at this stage.
He was very lucky to have that band supporting him.
I was taking photos and the base player kept shining his base at me.10 feet away!

I REMEMBER WHEN I FIRST HEARD THIS MY MAESTRO / 72? In a 390GT Cyclone
Phil was a badass
Yeah and he was a sweet guy. I asked him who played guitar in little darlin. He said it was a fellow by the name of Gary Moore
Some of the best rock music in history
Amazing guitarsolos and incredible performance!
Phil WAS A ROCKER
How big are the hooks in This Lot's Songs? Superb Rock Band and should been even bigger than They were.
Tonight there's going to be a Jailbreak ! Boys are back !
3:55 jumpscare lol
Thanks for posting this. I’m a big Lizzy fan but wasn’t aware of Snowy White being in the band at the end. I knew about Gary but damn, I guess they were just trying to keep it together?
Great player
If TL played before you in them times... you best just go home.
Good stuff right there!
One of the ALL-TIME Greats in hard rock, and it didn't come easy to them. Like much less talented band's like 80's Crûe etc. These guys hit me like UFO, or Kansas, REO, Styx or other prog rock bands. Not comparing Lizzy to.prog, but the diversity of the 70's was the epic of Rock and Roll to me 🤘🔥🎤🎸🎩💯
Great, Great version of a classic!
Fantastic. Thanks for sharing.
Well there's one more now ✌✌. And say over the years, a youth never forgotten Still brilliant 60 now and just as brilliant 🎸🎸🎸. 🤘🤘🤘 💯💯. 🎧🎧🎧. 💜💜 🎧🎧

Epic!!!!!
What an ending ...
Worlds sexiest bass player ❤RIP Phil
❤❤
HERO
Is that young kid that PRACTICED A WHOLE LOT!!! A MR SYKES?
The cowboy song studio recording is more polished , but this is pretty good for a live performance . while imho this live boys are back in town live is better than the studio recording
However the studio version as great as it is does not compare to the live version which is more up tempo. I love the studio version but the live version simply lifts it to another level.
@@johnroche7541 thats cool . " to each his own " , " whatever floats your boat "
