I only lived this song & a few more songs of his . Decades later I can see/ hear how talented he really was !! I always admired his vocal ( voice & he was on always ) ,but never loved it ! Like John Sykes once said ,he was the one you could count on always on stage ! If anything went wrong,he would had fixed it automatically on the spot live !! I coukd totally see that natural talent in him now !! And how tight these guys were together on stage !! Interesting fact. This video version features a different unique version of Robbo's solo. The audio version of Live & Dangerous is not as cool. Though I don't know why all subsequent guitar players build their solos upon the latter.

Attitude and incredible stage presence - Robbo had it … and the ability to improvise a very different solo from his one on Live & Dangerous (which is very close to Gary Moore’s Nightlife original). A great performance! Lizzy at its peak, live :)

Think I'll just fall to pieces
If I don't find something else to do
    This sadness never ceases
I'm still in love with you
My head, it keeps on reelin'
It's got me in a crazy spin
    Darlin', darlin', darlin'
    Is this the end?
They say time has a way of healing
Dries all the tears from your eyes
But darling, it's this empty feelin'
    My heart can't disguise
After all that we've been through
I try my best, but it's no use
I guess I'll keep on loving you
    Is this the end?
    Now that it's all over
Woman, there's something I think you should know
    Baby, baby, think it over
Just one more time before you go
    Call on me, baby
If there's anything I can do for you
    Call on me, baby
    Help me see it through
    Call on me, baby
Why don't you call on me baby?
    Oh, help me see
I'm in love with you (so in love with you)

Coincidence that they produced two of the best live double albums ever - Live and Dangerous & Strangers in the night. Both should be essential listening. I was lucky enough to see both Lizzy and UFO in my teens at Sheffield City Hall, truly magical to see great bands for reasonable money in a great smallish venue. Sadly now its all £100 tickets in massive warehouse like venues with no atmosphere.

This song wasnt written it comes not just from Phils broken heart but his whole being
From his vital centre, soul & psyche.
You can hear it pour out of him
Like his heart & soul were in bits & he needed to release it
    Its so gut wrenching!
My story, im keeping short, but i felt the man in my life, decades back was my soul mate & he said he felt the same.
But i had been offered the job of my dreams & for what id studied hard for, for nearly 4 yrs
I was restless & needed to expand my horizons
My guy was a homebody & easy going & i knew if i stayed id make him miserable, needing to seek out life etc, & i was scared id end up hating him if i stayed.
Our last meeting was a dance & he asked the DJ to play this song for me,
He sang it to me beside him & i was just overcome with sorrow & emotion
I left after the song, & left his life.
I moved abroad with my job & loved it, i sent him a few letters & cards but he wasnt a letterwriter & i knew he was brokenhearted.
    Cutting to the point
I did have a great career, lived in 4 other countries, married, divorced, 2 daughters
I somehow knew i wasnt quite whole anymore.
I thought alot over the years about him but who was I to contact, hed happy, married, kids etc.?
Then 8 yrs ago i returned to UK
Came back up to my grass roots on the far North Eastern coast.
I settled quite well, bought a nice home, felt good.
An old friend saw me in our city in a cafe, we were delighted.
    Caught up, etc etc
    Nothing mentioned but loseley
Agreed to maybe meet up in a pub we frequented when young.
After several months, i did just that, got to the pub, felt fine
Then.... this song came on the jukebox..
I froze, i felt tears come, & this great lump formed in my chest
I was immediately back to all those years before.
    I felt crushed.
You know, how you know someone is behind you?
Well, it happened & i knew as sure as breath came after breath
    He was there.
    That was 6 years ago
We got married not long after finding each other.
There's loads of co incidences & kind of fate playing a big part
But, we got there, in the end.
We were both free, no burdens or responsibilities.. it was just RIGHT!
So this song is very special indeed, im sure it means alot to many others too.
    Thank you for listening
    Peace🕊
    From 🇬🇧👧

Right you are Sir. Gary left after recording some of Nightlifes guitar tracks and when Brian Robertsonjoined he listened to them before recording all the albums tracks, but he thought that Still in Love with You's solo by Gary was so incredible that he couldn't improve on it so left it well alone. A great call and very humble by him.
