This is a video on how to perform a factory restore on a Dell XPS 13 Laptop running Windows 10.
Disclaimer - A factory data reset both hard or soft will erase all of your personal information on your device and return it to its out of the box state. Thanks. Unfortunately my xps was acting weird when it arrived by delivery. First WiFi connection problems though I tried two connections, then glitches and making weird internal noises, then frozen screen. Somehow I developed to Profiles, probably bc the WiFi kept going out and had to reattempt. Has been working ok for one day so far.
I just decided to reset and give it one more chance. Otherwise I’ll call support
This is not factory settings restore, this is RESET, it would be if you would click to Factory Image restore. Please do not confuse people.

Hello!Thanks heaps for your video. I've got a question tho, what could be the problem on my one since after I do the "remove everything", it asks for a recovery disks. How though? It gave me cds together with the package but it doesn't have an optical drive. I also have problems doing the hard reset, it goes straight to advanced settings giving the option "uexi reset(or something like that)" and the other one. But it's not giving me the option for a reset. And the f11 reset isn't working too since it's booting up quickly. Lol. Help please? :)
mine does the same as yours, it asks to insert recovery media, but i did not get any with the lap top, i had to take it to a computer shop, they told me it is not possible to reset it yourself on the newer models, so they did it for me at a cost!

Do these resets delete the factory installed Dell softwares as well. Softwares like Killer control panel, Dell cinema etc.

justrella I downloaded windows 10 from Microsoft and used software to put the os on an external USB drive and booted from that.. problem solved

What if the Dell XPS 13 is Admin password. And I am in guest mode. How to do complete reset.
Have to be Admin, which means u have to be in the primary account! You cannot factory reset any labtop or desktop in guest mode.

So what happens when installing Windows it gets stuck on 64%, jumps up to 89% and then restarts and shows 64% again? Is there something wrong or do I just have a crappy computer? lol

Hillary Clinton what I ended up doing was unscrewing the bottom of the laptop and unplugged the battery for a few seconds and then plugged it back in and it worked. Was a royal pain in the ass :(
