I’m new to your channel but enjoy the videos. I’m building my first engine small block Chevy in 35 years for my car using a backyard Vortec 350. Thank you for the information. Really enjoy it
I have that same 390 horse Blueprint 355 in my 73 Nova. It’s a full roller setup as well with a very similar cam as yours. Definitely a runner for sure.
thats ironic. i paid 300 bucks for a 2001 350 vortec in a 2500 series service truck. ive got a cracked marine 305 vortec i bought as well that was in a burned boat(probably insurance job). im gonna see if i can use the marine/ramjet cam and lifters, and if im lucky, the marine engine will have 1.6 comp cam roller tip rockers.
It is a Blueprint cam. They make their own cams. They don't sell to the public as far as i know. Someone upgrade their Blueprint 390 horsepower crate 355 engine and sold me the cam and intake.
That cam is a dog, needs to have at least 220/230 at 50 minimum. If this is going in a marine application it would be fine but not for making power on the street.
@@SBGarage3501996 5.7 Vortec 906 heads with full roller rocker, machine shop is gonna machine valve seals, valve job, new valves, screw in studs, stock bottom end, thinking Howard’s roller cam .510 .284/278 and 110 Lsa! Stock intake and fuel system and will have it tuned, headers and higher stall converter with built trans
The cam and intake came off of a crate engine that has a claimed 390 horsepower. The blueprint 390 horse 355. I put the cam and intake from that motor into a vortec 350 with some decent valve springs. Im thinking I'm in the 330 horsepower range.
I have around 750.00 in this motor. It is my car now. Im waiting for the weather to get better to drive. Very interested in seeing how it runs with this set up.
I love the set up. Radiator and all. Great job.
Thanks 👍
Sounds great. Love the budget builds.
Thank you
Me too I'm poor😂
@@stevengrissom7142 me too
Sweet sounding

Awesome thank you
whatever you do stick with a roller cam or spend the $$ to retrofit.......flat tappets have been an absolute NIGHTMARE the last few years.
Same cam that im looking at, with the exception of the 110 lsa, 220/224 at .050 in.
* .495 in./502 in. lift 110
Nice build/video
Thank you
This combination would make a great marine engine. Good power with a broad powerband.
Yes agreed. It had slightly more power than my 350 HO and pulled higher rpm's.
Nice healthy sounding small block.
Yes indeed can't wait to get it in a vehicle.
Very nice build! I wish my stand had MUFFLERS, LOL. 😂
Nice thank you.
Gotta love the sound of a good ole 350
Thanks for the song clip I built a similar motor for my 1996 GMC Jimmy conversion from a V6
Sound 😂
@@jackperry9369 Nice! I have 3 more i should be testing in the next month. All 3 have larger camshafts and more compression.

Sounds fantastic, I’d love to build the same motor for my 94 sanoma . Cheers 🇨🇦
Nice thank you
Did you do anything upgrades on valve springs
She's ready!!🎵🎵🎶🏁🏁🏁
Engine seems responsive can't wait to run it.
Good Ol' 350 Ready for 350k of service 👌

Thank you

Yes I'm going to try a different more suitable cam for rhis.
Isn’t that what he said it was in the video? I’m looking for a cam for my street build And thought this would be okay
@@ZenuthMotorsNo it was a lot lower than what I said, what motor and heads are you running?

For sale?
No I just tested it in the car. Im pulling it apart for some upgrades.
What's a 390 HP cam is that like a 3/4 race cam lol
Its a 1/4 race cam a modern class 2 cam LOL.
What year vortex is it
1999 2500 series truck.
Healthy...................
Should be a fun engine with good low end torque and decent midrange.
How do you know its 390 hp?

You cant build a decent AR 15 for that money............
