You are absolutely a mad scientist 😆 Love it. I’ve got some special blending I wanna do soon just wanting to open a couple more bottles first. Can’t wait
Very good channel! Watched a couple of videos and subscribed yesterday. Keep up this excellent work! Love your remote start stop intro. Refreshingly old-school 😉 In Europe the HP 12 is bottled at 40% so you are lucky. Same for quite a few original standard bottlings. What you saw after enhancing the whisky with cask strength haven't been the oils. Ethanol and water have different refractive indexes. This enables you to actually see the mixing process. Once this effect is over, the mixing process is complete. Mixing water and ethanol leads to a contraction of volume. When you put the cork back, ambient air was sucked into the bottle causing the noise.
the 40% and the chill filtration always hindered me of buying a HP. Now with the Cs im still not sure, some mixed reviews and probably tired casks and no age statement :(
@@DayKlight HP12 in the USA is 43% as is Laphroaig 10. With HP cask strength I found I had to play around with water too much to get it where I wanted.
Your comparison vids are always very helpful. I am on the fence with Highland Park...looking for a reason to buy a bottle. I sure do not care about the cool bottle... I have this idea with Glenfarclas 12 and 105.. Great job!
Thank you
Nice comparison.
John, I love what you're doing with your channel. Great viewing once again. Cheers my friend.
Thanks so much Al!
Cheers 🥃
You know have your own unique blend of HP12. Love it! Icurrently have a Blended Malt Scotch Whisky aging in a small barrel of my creation.
