This takes me back to the late 70's early 80's when I made Santas to go over coffee cans. I used my son's white crayon to wrap the yarn around for the beard.

I always thought this stitch was one I would not even think about trying. With this tutorial I will definitely attempt making a scarf . My mother taught me this similar stitch about 40 years ago but she called it the chicken feather stitch. I thought she made it up. My loops were much smaller and we always cut the loops and sometimes we combed them out. Thanks for sharing.

Oh my goodness! That would make a very cute Valance. I would do two maybe three of the double Loop Rose and then make several rows of double crochets, then I would so the double crochets over to make a curtain rod pocket.☺

I made a baby hat with this stitch. Everyone lived it. I like using this stitch. I did them 1/2 inch for a new born. I also did single loop. But i really like this.

WOW! I thought this was made with some special loopy yarn! I'm amazed that it's done with a normal 4 weight. That might make a cool border for a blanket with just a couple of rows of this stitch around the perimeter.

Fun,fun stitch! I made a pair of baby booties with a similar loop stitch (but MUCH smaller loops) 49 years ago. One of my most favorite projects ever!
