    I love it. An easy way to make this blanket without cutting the yarn is to work the DC row from right to left, put a safety pin stitch marker in the last loop of the white yarn, Then go back to the beginning of the row and work the sc and ch 2 row also from right to left. Use the loop of the white yarn to finish the last stitch of the sc row, then turn and work the next two rows right to left, then right to left again.

    • @otterwench
      @otterwench Год назад +3

      @@dianebaron7300 yes, you have to ignore right and wrong sides, but since they are so very similar, it still looks fine. But for help in visualizing, you would work the right side twice, then the wrong side twice

    Thank you! You are so easy to follow along with and your instructions are perfect. This is actually the first project I’m crocheting after only watching a couple instructional videos.
    I’m crocheting it in Bernat Teal Dreams (just using one color) for my 13 year old son. He’s autistic and has sensory issues, he’s gonna love the bigger spaces between the cloudiness. When I was pregnant with him I Knit a baby blanket that he kept with him 24/7 until we were forced to perform its funeral years later (he loved those hole a little too much 😂).
    Again, thank you so much for this. 🫶

    Hi there... This is the unique stitch which was my very first stitch, I learnt, a long time ago...
    I don't cut off the yarns at the end, I just, drop them and pick them up on every row. This saves time, weaving them in at the end. And the border covers all of the 'picked up' activity. Lovely blanket though. Thank you 👍🏼

    This might be helpful for brand new crocheters like myself but I had to do the initial chain using a size 12 needle because when I did it with the size 8, my stitches were way too tight and the 2nd row looked a lot looser because of it. I probably could have gotten away with using a size 10 but 12 was the only next size up I had available. The 2nd row looked much better the 2nd time around. I switched back to the size 8 after the chain row.

    Looks lovely
    I did something similar on a baby blanket
    Using yellow, grey, and cream .
    Good easy stitch for any beginner.
