Mcusta is San Mai. The Vg10 core with show damascus folded over it on the outside. It's not going to be hard, the Vg10 core is (well how hard is the question). If someone has one, you could just test a mcusta with only Vg10. They also started to offer supergold mcustas this year. I only have a sanmai mcusta, I don't even use it because it's so nice. Action isn't great but it's not made from the trends. I like to say mcusta is a premium budget knife.
Sweet 16 lol. Such a bummer about the copyright issue. Believe my Gec 81 hit at a 43 as well. Fun knives to carry and a breath of fresh air to use versus the modern folders I have. Lots of great stuff on deck from what I heard so Im looking forward to that.
Thanks for the help my friend!! We appreciate all you do!! I have definitely dropped and dinged my fair share of things through the years!! And that is a awl used for sewing leather, or reaming materials ;)
Oh man...don't tell Kurt that's for poking something 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Now the neighborhood is in serious trouble 😁 You know Kurt when it comes to making divots in objects.....oh Beth. 😳💯🍺🍻
XW-42 is just a variation of d2. It's basically the same as k110 but it's made by assab (k110 is indeed bohlers d2). So it's going to be budget performance due to the poor heat treatments used for this class of steel (even at 62hrc).
You Can also drill a hole with it into some softer woods. It’s pretty useful. There’s a guy on RUclips that’s amazing with saks. He does all kinds of projects with just saks

This info is more valuable to us knife nerds then most understand. I REALLY REALLY wish you was still doing these test videos.

I was hoping it was some secret super duper steel! 🤣
16hrc omg lmao that tickled me good
The Sak tool. That’s called an awl. To pierce or sew leather in a pinch

Hello Kurt. I am sorry, but i did not pick that piece of info up, how hard was the aus10a cold steel?
Cold Steel's Aus10a has been 59-61 so far.
@@jcoolG192 Thank you for telling me!
