I had three Cutlery Shoppe exclusive S90V spyderco's tested at Northern Knives and all tested out at 58hrc. Seven dents all between 58-58.7, seems that's where the production S90V seems to be landing for the most part. They did the Benchmade Osborne and it to was 58 hrc. Wonderful song at 13 min! Thank you! I've tested Spyderco's S90V all the way up to 62, but you're right. A lot does come in much lower. The song is 10 Years Gone. One of my all-time favorites from the Physical Graffiti album.
I've never been a Delica fan, but I damn near bought that S90 one. I like the color scheme, and who don't like S90? Doubt I'd ever carry it though, so ultimately decided to pass. I seldom ever carry anything 3" or under..even my Para 3's. They just sit and collect dust. Just sold my Rex45 one, and thinking on selling the Cruwear one as well, even though I love both of those steels.
@@jcoolG192 yea, I'm a big cruwear fan myself. Even though there are other ones that will hold an edge longer, cruwear is like the perfect blend of edge retention and ease of maintenance. Takes a crazy edge too.
ZDP189 rusts because so much of the chromium is tied up with the huge amount of carbon in the alloy, so it doesn’t leave much free chromium for corrosion resistance. Both of my ZDP Spydies rust like crazy down here during the summer if I slack on the maintenance.

I daily a Cruwear Delica, good to see they aren’t running it too soft
They seem to do pretty well with Cruwear. If I was going carry a Delica, I'd want the Cruwear. 😉

Hmm... Florida in the summer? Most things rust or melt! 🤣🤣🤣
That 20% chromium in zdp is all bound up with the 3% carbon. Not much left for stainlessness.

It's amazing how good some counterfeits are. I have a few a friend sent to check. AD-15, Bugout and an 0562. All are very good copies.
