  • Inspired by an original spoken word poem, this film highlights the challenges that communities are facing due to the COVID-19 pandemic. By capturing the empty streets of some of the largest metropolitan cities, this film shows how society has transformed and how civilians are adjusting to the new reality.
All of our lives have drastically changed due to the coronavirus. Streets are now empty, businesses are struggling, and our loved ones are at risk. We hope that we can each take time to reflect and overcome the challenges that have been presented to us. We have seen some of the best of humanity during these unprecedented times and we must each play our part to bring an end to this pandemic.

    Who Knew:
Who knew that the unseen could freeze cities, states, nations, and all
Who knew solitude and six feet apart was no longer a choice but a way to save lives
The world decided to close down and redecorate its walls
Who knew that we’d be waking up reminding ourselves that we are no longer dreaming
That covering our expressions, staying apart, and grieving is the new normal in the midst of disbelieving
Signs surrounding our homes screaming: we’re all in this together
    We’re pleading
The losses, the wins, the everlasting quiet
Leaves a space to ruminate, regroup, or perhaps to riot
It is our choice whether to rejoice in others victories
Do we pull open our windows to say thank you to humility?
In the empty streets of concrete jungles
Can we make our support and gratitude echo in the emptiness, as loneliness crumbles?
When a force greater than all continents combined is placing a hold on our busy, fast paced lives
Let us find the delicate moments to latch onto
    And to fight together
    Towards the ultimate breakthrough

I was actually writing my own pandemic poetry today, published it on RUclips and decided to look up other pandemic poetry. I'm glad I did
Although this was produced over a year ago and we are now seeing an angry minority overwhelming common-sense and declaring Victory yet again. Your poem will always speak to the heart of the matter.
    thank you very much
