Not really. You can still swim in the oceans. In fact marine biologist believe it’s actually bad to clean the oceans garbage cause animals started to live on it. It’s better to stop adding garbage. Plus unlike people claim garbage does disappear in the ocean by being eaten, sinking, or dissolving. I know it’s still bad but it’s not as bad as scientists thought it was going to be.

9 years later and the destruction still doesn‘t stop. I‘m sorry because I am not doing anything against it. I think most people are too focused on their every day life and their problems. And I shouldn‘t say „they“ because it is me too. For me my problems seem so big…whether it‘s an exam or some other task I have to do. And even for that, and I am shure I am not the only one, I am to lazy to do it. 😞I think I always lived my life for myself too much. Even as a kid…I enjoyed my life. I was going outside and enjoying spending time with my friends. Now I realise more and more that future generations may won‘t be able to live in this beautiful world.
And even doing something against climate change just seems worthless. I mean look at it… All the people glueing themselves on the street, all those activists disturbing the every day life of people, which is probably the reason why there is so much hate against something like this😓.
So what can I do? Everything just seems so far away, like its not my problem. Seeing so many people cuting them out of society. Than the politicians who don‘t seem to really do something. So what would I change, as a singular person compared to millions. And I am shure that I am not the only one with those thoughts.
As a sixteen year old, who is also worried about his own future, I am very much clueless what to do. So I‘m sorry.
I hope I will have a bigger impact in the future to help save this beautiful planet.

In class a month ago in April, my teacher put on this video in our class. I originally watched this video so I knew what it was about, but still I was so close to crying. This video was probably the only video where everyone in my class grew hella quiet, this video humbled them hella hard. No actually things are on the rise. Because of the pandemic here are some news stories you might have missed: Cancer falls by 20% in the last 10 years! Car crimes increase by 20% in the UK. You maybe saying Star Wars Zombie, what the heck are you talking about, yeah that’s great news, but like what has it got to do with this? During the pandemic the O Zone layer above Antarctica has cleared up. Slowing down the heating of the earth. Meaning we have more years to figure out a permanent solution.
