Good early start, continue to make R7 videos, they will become reference videos in the months to come.. Don't know if I will upgrade from 80D yet but it's on wishlist

Can you please test 4k HDR PQ, overheating test and walking test with ibis?
Sure I’ll take a look at it! Overheating should not be a problem, there’s already videos on it 😃

@@creativecomputers6060 Oh ok… I usually don’t shoot long form content. I mainly record 2-10 minute clips of talking head or b-roll. But I’ll see if I can try it out ;-)

thank you. helpful video. Is it possible the set video custom shooting mode 3 to high frame rate? I cant get it to set , but it will on my R5
Yes I was able to set it to 100fps. But you’ll need to go into the menu and turn on “high frame rate”. It does not show in the video quality quick menu 😊 hope this helps!

Yes indeed, that’s a really good idea! Unfortunately I’ve already sold the M6. But I think I’ve got enough material from it to make a video about it!

what shutter mode to use for video? Full mechanical, electronic first curtain or fully electronic?
There's no such option for video, since you don't actually need it - only for photography. 😃

Hi Bram! Great video! I have been shooting with my 80D for several years and am looking to upgrade without spending too much. How is the 1080p video quality compared with the 80D? Talking about image quality and high iso performance. I don't shoot 4k so I would love to know if there is a huge improvement with the 1080p setting compared to the 80D.
Hi Andres! I don’t have experience with the 80D… but I think upgrading to the R7 will give you many benefits. The image quality (in 1080p) should be better with the sensor upgrade. But… maybe far more significant would be: IBIS, way better/faster autofocus, 2 SD card slots, video specific environment, headphone input, and… the RF mount. There’s probably even more good stuff! 😊 Oh autofocus also works in 120fps on the R7. I think you don’t have that on 80D? Anyway hope this helps!
@@coppensbram thanks for the reply Bram, yeah I think it would be a great upgrade. If you have the time it would be awesome if you can upload a video of some 1080p tests. I can't find anyone doing those for the R7.

How brilliant would the R6 if they'd have designed it the same way as the R7. The way the R6 switches is clumsy
I would have bought the R6 if not for the overheating and not having custom modes 😂 I’m sure they’ll do it on the next iteration!

Oh I’m not really a birder… I don’t have good long reach lenses for that. But if I do see birds at close range, I’ll def. try!
