2 things:
I absolutely love how you present, what and how you explain and what you advise.
I hate sponsoring, except when you sponsor your self. Because its bloody legit.
Keep doing what you do!
Kudos!
I appreciate that!
Great video- well edited, informative, no nonsense. Thank you, when I get my R7 in the coming months I will definitely go back to this and get a lot of these products!
Thanks Kevon. Much appreciated!
Great !Thanks for the recommendation of the meike adapter
You are welcome. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Picking up the R10 next week! Great Video

Superb video.
I'm saving up for an r7. When I've purchased it, I'll definitely be following your advice. I've saved your video for reference.
Awesome! Thanks.
love the vid bro. You should try adding some foam pannels in your studio to reduce a little bit of the echo! much love thanks for the tips
Thanks! I appreciate the constructive criticism as well. Peace!
Great video. Do you have a video explaining the ND filters when/where to use?
Thanks! I briefly mention the process here and there in scattered videos but the concept is pretty much like this. The only time you want to use ND filters is when you want to shoot video outdoors with wide aperture for a blurry background. If you don't use an ND filter your highlights will be blown out/completely white. For Photography it is used for times when you want a wide aperture but also for times when you want to use a slow shutter speed. The lower the shutter speed the more light so you need an ND filter to bring the light down to an acceptable level. Hope that helps.
Hi, just found your videos and they are chock full of great info - thank you! Does the autofocus work on the sigma lens you mention or just manual focus? thanks
Thanks! Auto focus works great for video. I didn't use it that often for photo but if I remember correctly it did well for photos too.
Thanks my friend nice video
You are welcome Paul. Thanks for watching and commenting.
thank u for this video... its to the point and a gold mine for an absolute rookie like me... gotta get me that ND adapter thingy and 1 wide angle and telephoto lens ach you mentioned
You are very welcome. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great advice! What are your thoughts on a speed boost adapter? How about magnetic filters (eg. NEEWER Magnetic Variable ND Filter ND2-ND32(1-5 Stops) with Magnetic Adapter Ring)?
The speed booster is great. If you can find a used viltrox one that is. The Canon version is a bit pricey. The magnetic filters are very useful. I recently got a set from K&F concepts and was pleasantly surprised how good they were in comparison to the price.
Great videos! I am considering to get one of these Cameras for traveling, which one would you recommend, and which lens and accesories would be good to begin with.
Thanks. The R7 would be a good choice. I'd grab the Canon 16mm f2.8 RF lens & the Canon 50mm f1.8 RF lens, a nice travel tripod & an ND filter. If you already some old EF lenses laying around then I'd grab the Meike ND adapter.
@@FulaanCreative Thank you very much, your information is very useful.
I see you're still rocking the EF-M camera. Good man. I kept mine also. I love the EF-M still even though R7 and my R5 are powerhouses the tiny M6 MK II is absolutely amazing to take along side your wallet and keys somewhere out :)
Yeah for real. Even the new r50 isn't as compact due to the large rf lenses. Still great cameras with super compact lenses.
@@FulaanCreative Exactly. And between R7 and M6 MK II except for the 4K@60 I don't feel I am loosing anything photography wise. The compact sigma lenses and the 22mm EF-M pancake lens from canon produce amazing pictures and side by side you can't tell which one is made with what camera. For me it's M6 MK II when going out in the city nearby or even on a small trip and R7 + R5 whenever I have a big trip planned away from home.
Can you recommend a good EF lens for vertical videos? I have the meke and the 10-18 canon lens you recommended. Really like that setup for horizontal video. But vertical it tends to get a bit distorted on the tops and bottom due to the wider angle ..
Thanks for the help. Love your videos man! 🍻
Try a 35 mil or 50. Ultrawides will def have too much stretching at the edges.
Great Video and advice, only thing the Meike Drop-In Filters are only useful on an EF to RF adapter unfortunately there is no RF only adapter, don't even know why...
True
I’ve been shooting with a canon 1N RS 35mm film camera since I bought it new I don’t know I think 25-30 years ago. The R7 is my first digital camera ever! Yes I’m still rocking a flip phone.
I bought the R7 because all of my lenses are EF mount. And to be honest I don’t want to get rid of any of my EF lenses. They are in really good condition and they are all L series lenses.
I like the fact that it uses SD cards instead of all of those other fancy super high expensive card. I can easily switch them from my camera to my computer without any additional card reader.
I just stumbled across your video and I have subscribed to your channel. Thank you for taking the time to put this video together! Peace Out✌️
Thanks! I also don't want to get rid oh my EF glass. Some of the best lenses ever made in my opinion. Plus I hate many of the new focus by wire lenses.
Hey @FulaanCreative, I love your videos & your channel is amazing! I have a question. Is there a good Battery Grip for the Canon R10 that you know of? If there's any, can you do a video reviewing one??
I haven't come across one yet but let's see what the future holds : )
@@FulaanCreative thanks so much. I’ll keep an eye out for any R10 battery grips. Word on the street is that Amazon has one they’re selling. I just ordered an R10 which is an upgrade from my Canon T4i. I been doing photography & video with that camera for about 13 years. I’ll be selling the T4i camera body, but I’m keeping the lenses & getting that Adapter/ filter u reviewed.
Great Video and very helpful! Is the Miele filter comparable with the r10? On the website it didn’t mention the r10. 😀
Yes, any RF mount Camera
Hey thanks for your video!
do you know if the Benro Tripod is compatible with Arca type mount? I'm not sure what it is but I heard it's a common standard
Still trying to save up for that drop-in ND adapter. Thought cheaper then Canon, I still have to pay for import fees, so I would buy up all the filters I would need along with it to save some coin.
I was looking at the 10-18mm, I'm kicking myself because I had the Sigma 10-20 F3.5 but traded it in thinking i was gonna jump onto full frame. I now run a Sigma 17-50mm f2.8, Sigma 17-300mm f3.5-6.3, and a Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 for wildlife/birding...yeah, but of a Sigma fanboi here. The only thing is that 10-20 was beefy and heavy, sometimes I had a hard time getting it balanced right on a mini tripod. Plus its an f3.5 so I may look into a prime 24mm F1.8 instead.
Man I know what you mean. I'm in Turkey and they charge crazy customs fees to get anything shipped in and I'm with you on the Sigma lenses. I own the 18-35 and it's my favorite lens.
Love your videos, also I wanted to ask a rookie question regarding the Sigma lens that you recommended, do you have to buy an adapter for the sigma lenses to use on the Canon R10? Thanks for your help :)
Thanks. Yes you need an RF to EF adapter. The best one the the Meike EFTR because it also serves as a built in ND filter.
Im new my dude, thank you for your effort on this video
No problem!
are these camera good for videography for weddings? what kinda of camera should I invest to for beginners
The R7 would be very good for beginner videography.
Great video, which viltrox speed booster is compatible with the r10? Found myself confused on amazon.
Thanks! As long as it says that you can use EF lenses on RF cameras it should be fine
Hey Fulaan, what camera & lens do you use to shoot this video? The a roll?
Hello Niko. The Eos R and Sigma 18-35.
Bro I get the R7 tomorrow! Cannot wait sigma 18-35 arrived today. Going to do an unboxing video if your interested. One question tho ? The 1 hour battery life. Is that continuous shooting or intermittent usage. Has me worried for a wedding coming up
Awesome. The 1 hour is more for the r10, the r7 might do a bit better. I get about an hour in total. So either 1 hour straight or I can shoot 10 separate 6 minute clips throughout the whole day.
@@FulaanCreative cheers man so I'm hoping the 2 battery's will do it. I can get one on the charge as soon as the other is done
@@rawcreative yes exactly. That's the way to go.
Can you recommend another Pro Lens Mount Adapter seems like that one they dont even offer anymore
The only one I've used with an ND filter is the Meike one. Check the used market like Ebay, you should be able to find one.
Hey Fulaan , I just got my R10 I'm looking at ND filters do I need all of them on just one specific ?
Just the ND filter by itself is enough for 99% of situations. Make a note though that if you get the meike drop in ND it only works with EF and EF-S glass. If that's not what you need grab a screw on filter instead.
I really appreciate the video here, great perspective, that sigma truly is a unique lens in the video world eh? I am always curious about the physics behind the way they design lenses. "WHY CAN'T I HAVE F1.4 THROUGHOUT THOUGH???" haha
Thanks! I know what you mean. Currently only primes have f1.4 but once we can get a 15-30 f1.4 or 24-70 f1.4 that would be a game changer.
What do you think about speed boosters for the R7?
It's an awesome addition. The Canon one is too expensive though. If you can find a used viltrox one for under $300 I'd grab it but keep in mind you can only use EF lenses with it.
Whats up boss. I thinking to buy a Canon R7 to do Street Interviews. What lens should I buy??? and is Canon R7 a good camera for street interviews?
I it is a good camera for that. I would grab the RF 16mm f2.8 and the RF 50mm f1.8 both are good and not that expensive. Grab an ND filter as well as you'll need it for shooting outdoors.
Hello Mr. Fulaan, I need your help. What would be a good flash for the Canon r7? Thanks.
Honestly I'm not sure as I don't use flashes. I mainly use continuous COB lights.
I am getting the lights you recommended. Thanks.
for the R10 what is your suggestion for a flash trigger for a strobe?
Honestly I'm not sure as I don't take portraits in the studio too often.
@@FulaanCreative thank you my man, I appreciate the prompt response. I have been consuming your content and its been super helpful as I am just starting out.
where can we buy the luts is there a website? im just starting out too but want to get really sharp videos what lens would you recommend?
You can get the luts at www.FulaanCreative.com / For lenses I like the Sigma 18-35 but it'll need an adapter. Alternatively the Canon 35mm f1.8 RF is also a great lens for the money.
What microphone do you reccommend for the R7?
For me the best budget option is the takstar sgc-600 which is what I used in this video. One of the best high end options is the Sennheiser MKE 400
Hello there what do you recommend as flash cobra for the canon R7 wedding photography ?
Hello. Honestly not sure because all i have ever used is continuous lights.
@@FulaanCreative I need one but I don't know which one to buy
@@sataanass2596 for continuous lights i like the smallrig lights. I own the rc120b and it's great.
Hey bro what would you recommend for gimbals? I bought the M2S by Zhiyun and tbh it’s butt cheeks. I can’t get it to balance at all!! I’ve been at it for 2 hours now. Watched every video and read the manual, and nothing!! I’m using the R10 and the 18-45mm lens, so it’s not even 2lbs.. not sure why it’s not working. But any recommendations for gimbals?
Hello. Honestly I never used a gimbal before. For the R10 make sure the digital stabe is on. You could even try the enhanced although I would use the normal setting for most shots. For me most of my shots are on a tripod. Makes things much more simple.
What camera / set up did you use to shoot your video if you don't mind me asking :D
Canon EOS R, Sigma 18-35
@@FulaanCreative thank you 🙌 I subbed for your great content 🔥
@@EdwardWeber I appreciate that!
Brother I have nikon d3300 is it good
Yes bro, all cameras are good if you know how to use them properly.
Hey man, I watched your video tonight, and bought an R10 and some accessories from your links. Make sure to look for that Amazon commission.
Thanks Richard! I appreciate the support.
Can you fit a microphone to the R10?
Yes for sure
Does canon R10 have battery grip
Hmm.. Not sure
Brilliant channel - I am thinking of getting an R10 - have you had any issues with overheat issues when recording video? Can you record without limit even in 4k? Also can i keep the USB C charging cable in whilst recording? thus eliminating the need to swap batteries.
Thanks! Yes you can record while the USB-c is plugged in as long as the battery is in there and has some charge. I recorded in the highest quality 4k with the usb-c attached and it gave me a little over 2 hours of footage without over heating. It stopped due to my sd card being maxed out.
@@FulaanCreative Amazing bro. Also what lens do you use to get the depth of field indoors as you have in this video
Jzk and thanks.
@@alevelpolitics I use the Sigma 18-35 f1.8 EF lens. I use it with the Meike drop in ND adapter.
@@FulaanCreative Thats so helpful.
Do you think it is worth waiting for a greater set of lenses are produced for the R10, including a Sigma range?
@@alevelpolitics the only advantage that I could see is that you wouldn't need an adapter. If that is important for you then it may be worth waiting.
Whats the best affordable lens for stargazing.
The RF Nifty 50mm f1.8 would work very well other than the fact that it's not wide. If that is not a concern then it is one of the only lenses I know of which has a very wide aperture and is also affordable. The RF 35mm f1.8 is also good and a little wider but it costs a bit more.
@@FulaanCreative Thank you so much. I think I'm gonna get the rf 35 mm 1.8
@@DianaLopez-ik2pr Your welcome
How to shoot slow motion video in r10 ?
Shoot at 60 fps, use a shutter speed of 1/120. Then slow down the speed in your editing software to 40%
Man saved us all hours of hassel
I'm glad it was helpful.
I didnt realize when bag manufacturers added "anti-theft" tags to their bags, this is what they meant @1:16
Yep, also air tags are useful for that
Just got the R8
Congratz! Lovely Camera.
My r10 overheats at 32 minutes! On the tripod in my air conditioned office. Have you experienced this?
Not at all. Sounds like a quality control issue. I would send it in to repair or replace.
@Fulaan Creative interesting. Thanks for the speedy reply! I may just swap it out.
Hi, i made DIY my own R10 battery grip, modify a Jupio grip 16 to fit on R10 (dremel + knife + tools). All functions working and now have 2 batterys, and all the buttons on de grip working. When you have email, happy send some pictures.
Hello. Sounds interesting. Would love to see the pics. Grab my email off of the about page. Thanks!

Hiii, I'm a beginner at this. I felt your review on the 18-35mm was great so I bought it lol. I have the r10, I received the lens however I am confused because it doesn't fit :( Am I supposed to buy an adapter for it?I made sure to pick the Sigma lens for Canon.
Perhaps you got the EF mount, which would require an adapter.
The Canon one doesn't need one.
Yes, you need an adapter for using EF lenses on RF Mount Cameras. You could just get the adapter but I would get the Meike drop in ND filter Adapter. That way you have built in ND and it serves as an adapter as well. It's just a little more expensive than the plain adapter but worth every penny.
Thank you both for the response! Fulaan thank you for info, I shall then buy that set. I appreciate your hard work on all your videos! Have a wonderful rest of you mr day
@@adrianamancio3854 you are very welcome.
Make video of R50 ACCESSORIES
I will soon but all these accessories apply to the R50 as well.
@@FulaanCreative yup but still want a dedicated video... Love all your 📸 videos from India

Good additions indeed

Thanks man!
Hey Bro, I love how you bring up quality but affordable gear in your recommendations. 💯😎 Some of us aren't Fulaan Ballinnnn' You know 😝 Much love and respect 💯🙏😎
@@ALLBOUTTHUGLIFE Haha! I'm going to keep it budget even if I am ever Fulaan Ballin, which I'm not as of yet but hopefully soon though!
One quick thing, I use external power. I've found some decent dc powered couplers with an np-f battery plate. So I never run out of power. 💯😝 I dont even use the real batteries anymore. I moved out of where I was at. No longer there. But soon, I'm gettin me a house. My rent went up too high. Couldnt afford it.

I guess I get the silver medal for being 2nd!! 🤣
Thanks for watching and commenting JazzyG!
