I had no idea Cole left Hodinkee but man Tudor got a heck of a deal. The guy knows his stuff and he’s an incredible personality in the watch world, love that guy.
@@zeiss72 I feel like Tudor bringing him on further shows how in touch they are with what consumers are looking for and how to engage even more people in their brand.
Teddy and Cole work extremely well together, and the whole of the discussion was of the tenor and quality I prefer. Teddy, please enlist Cole sometime soon for a broader Tudor discussion. Thank you.
Was about to say the same. I’ve never seen this Cole guy before but from the comments he seems well known. Really liked his personality here and just like you would really enjoy some more deep dives (no pun intended) on Tudor watches together with Teddy & Cole.
The Wilsdorf Foundation made a very good decision hiring Cole to do stuff like this. Such a likeable guy with a real passion for watches. Congrats on the new position.
Yeah, seeing Cole at Tudor just blew my mind. Another huge blow for Hodinkee. Two of my favorite watch community personalities side by side is great to see though. Love you guys!
I definitely want to pick up either that or the 54. Really hoping the burgundy isn't too big when I try it on because it's my front runner at the moment.
Love this Tudor employee, top notch guy in a company, loves the way he started by changing direction with Ted and suck attention to where he wants to be, what a boss.
To me you're the best at this Teddy! With your informed, respectful curiosity you get conversations that feel a bit more than pure marketing blingy talk
I don't have Tudor on the radar really, but this guy's knowledge and enthusiasm has really made me appreciate them so much more in just 15 minutes. I think they nailed it comparing to many lackluster brand efforts this year.
Great interview - props to both Teddy and Cole. Nice to see the new dial on the GMT, I just wish they would offer the 5 link and T-FIT for this line (a missed opportunity). Some good efforts to thin the offerings down and love the movement to everything becoming METAs. 👏 👏 👏
Mr. Teddy Baldassarre. I love your knowledge and love for watches and the passion you put into these educational and informative videos. with my 50 yrs. (of 61yrs life). of loving watches, you have awakened my interest in adding Tudor into my collection. Thanks again for All you do!
I know I'm probably crazy, but I think I've fallen in love with the Tudor Royal. Been looking at the 38mm Blue version for awhile and the newly announced versions are lovely as well.
If you wait a few years you can probaly get a Royal with a METAS Inhouse Movement, if you care for something like that. And maybe they will rework the bezel as well.
Tudor did a great job with the releases. Would have loved to see the GMT on a slimmer case or shape that reduces the slab feel when on wrist. But great job Tudor!
Always loved Cole's perspectives when at Hodinkee. The guy has all the knowledge in the world with absolutely NONE of the pretension. Great catch by Tudor.
I had just picked up a BB36 silver dial last month. While I would have loved an in-house caliber and T-Fit clasp, I prefer the oyster bracelet and would have been upset to miss out on the silver dial! New update is beautiful though!
One of the most astute hires in recent memory. Cole "get's it". A man who can appreciate a $500 watch with the same fervor as a $50K watch. He speaks to the many aficionados who feel disfranchised with many manufacturers deciding to play noticeably upscale. I've certainly "liked and commented" on many releases of W&W2023, but it's a Tudor release that will actually get my hard earned $4000 dollars. Tudor is making it very difficult for a person of privileged, but limited means to justify 6k for a SW200 movement Breitling, 12K Zenith Skylines, 14k Genta IWC's, or 22k for a no date stainless Alpine Eagle. I find myself not choosing Tudor, I find Tudor choosing me.
I don't know Cole, but the fact that a larger proportion of the comments are about his good personality says a lot about him. Being kind is a universal language. Good work🫂🫶🏻
Fantastic interview and overview of the new line. Two cameras adds huge production value. Top notch as always. Feels like the GMT will be my next watch!
Awesome video Teddy. Love the new dial colors of the Royal. I have the blue 41mm and am thinking about the Salmon 38mm. Hopefully we'll actually be able to see them in a watch case to check them out!
Kudos to Cole for navigating around the big elephant and the room, really shows how confident Tudor is as a brand and how it could stand on its own two feet without having to peer the shadow of the crown
Love the knowledge and insight that Cole shared with us. The praline dial GMT is stunning. The only question Teddy did not ask is when can we expect to see the new models at our local AD? I waited 16 months for the Tudor Panda Chrono and don't want a repeat experience.
I've enjoyed all of your interviews and reviews Teddy, you have been more in depth than other channels, so kudos for that, furthermore I love the "Royal" as sort of a more sporty version of the "Datejust" and "Day-Date" which for me are iconic designs ❤
White/Opaline dial Black Bay GMT: I already have four GMT watches including a black dial BB GMT but this one makes me want to buy one more. Love the elegance and lightheartedness of the opaline dial, it contrasts very well against the more subtled and retro tool-watch vibe of the black dial BB GMT. New BB 36/41: Tudor listened to popular demand and put in-house COSC movements as well as T-fit clasp in them. Should be the definitive eveyday watch at the $3,000 price range. Very excited about them and will put them in my short list. Burgundy Black Bay: Always happy to see more color variation. Black Bay 54: 37mm is too small for my wrist so I would not plan to buy one. That said, glad to see Tudor making their main product line available for more wrist sizes. Royal: Not into dress watches for now so no comment.
I have had the Burgundy with 5 link for about 4 months now, and can't think of any better watch as the first piece in my collection. Exceptional video!
Is the updated bb36 an addition to that line or does it replace the existing black dial oyster style bracelet? I'm not a fan but have long wanted the existing black dial 36
Well done Teddy Best RUclips video of watch and wonders that I have seen yet. Thanks for all you do I have started my watch collecting Journey again thanks to you.
One minute into the video and I’m thinking “this Cole guy is a great speaker, really genuine” and I check out the comments here and he’s a well-known former watch journalist and highly regarded. Wow this guy is universally liked, I know why! Great video as always Teddy
Well done Teddy! Great presentation and perfect interview with the legendary Cole! Wish all presentations were done like this. Miles ahead of the competition. Look forward to the other brand coverage. Keep up the great work👍👊
With the Royal, they need to revive the old Prince Date/Date Day design but with 36mm and 40mm options. Add the new “five link” bracelet and the new clasp in steel and S&G options and you have an absolute winner. A Tudor datejust/day date for entry level prices.
Tudor GMT "white" wins it for me. Had long wanted a white dial GMT for the longest time, and the Explorer 2 polars wasn't hitting the right boxes for me. Then this dropped... and I'm sold
During the Black Bay 31/36/39/41 segment at 9:00, the Watch your looking at appears to have a “white or opaline” dial. I cannot find this version anywhere on the Tudor site. Please identify the reference number for the Watch.
The bb 41 becoming closer and closer to current submariner. Just add blue black and hunter green variants and you’re almost there. Also the lollipop second hand on all these models was a great update.

Good for him!!! 🎉
He talks funny.
What a great hire
This is one of the thing I like about Teddy, he actually goes out and interviews. He doesn’t just talk from a room about his opinion on releases.
When Teddy has the turtleneck/suit combo, you know the video is going to be a banger
Teddy back on his buuuullllllshit
You mean the usual?
Cole is amazing. Such a respected industry expert and I LOVE that he is with Tudor. Talk about a great hire!!
Cole is about the most personable presenter ever. Thanks to you both.

This is hands down the best run down of the Tudor releases that I have seen so far. Thank you for sharing this.
Cole is working for Tudor?! 🤯 I’ve always been a fan. His approach to watches is very chill and laid back, love it ❤
Tudor knocked it out of the park this year. Very, very nice lineup. ❤
Cole’s soft spoken voice and knowledge is mesmerising and makes you want to buy any watch he recommends. Great guy!
It’s so weird to see Cole working not as a watch journalist but for a watch brand lol good on you Cole!
If you think about it most watch journalists are just brand PR people already. Easy transition.
Hahaha, I was sitting here thinking... "Wait a second... I know that guy from somewhere"...
@Maria CANCER Sorry to hear Maria. Please share your link.
He is pretty articulate for an Ivy League graduate. 😊
It was a nice surprise to see him here. I hope to see more from him and Tudor.
Yeah, seeing Cole at Tudor just blew my mind. Another huge blow for Hodinkee. Two of my favorite watch community personalities side by side is great to see though. Love you guys!
Good job Tudor you showed us why you’re leading the industry. You really got the details right this year
That burgundy 41mm on the jubilee is just something else. It looks absolutely amazing. Cannot wait to see it in store and get a feel for it in person.
I definitely want to pick up either that or the 54. Really hoping the burgundy isn't too big when I try it on because it's my front runner at the moment.
I’m already on the waitlist! Gonna buy it as soon as I get the call
Yes, hold the watch and feel the bezel for me.
Was thinking rhe exact same thing definitely a purchase for me
too bad the bezel is still aluminum

Cool to see Cole having left hodinkee to tudor
Hey that rhymes
I thought he looked familiar
Holy 💩!!!! I saw Cole and was surprised. For a second I thought Hodinkee and Teddy were working together.
Wow so he is really the seiko guy from Hodinkee ? I thought he just looked so much alike Cole.
I could listen to Cole talk about Tudor all day! What a move by Tudor.
The depth and detail of this content is exactly why I've been waiting for a video from Teddy's production team. Great work

Cole is VERY good at his job. They need to give him a raise. And nice work Teddy & Co..
He could let the interviewer hold the watches, by courtesy... Seems strange in the video.

Damn. Can’t believe Cole is now at Tudor. But this gets me excited for the brand. I hope he is empowered to keep making Tudor great!

Cole is awesome. Need more people like him in the watch industry.
The updated BB36 is killer. Great new dial options. Lovely to see Cole present the Tudor pieces aswell.

Tudor Royal 38 is a very, very good watch. One of the best approachable integrated bracelet models on the market.
If you wait a few years you can probaly get a Royal with a METAS Inhouse Movement, if you care for something like that. And maybe they will rework the bezel as well.
Yeah I’m pretty set on trying to get this salmon dial in a 38mm so nice.
Just saw Cole running around California with HODINKEE and now he is a Tudor salesman 🤪🙃
Interesting shift, wish you all the success Cole!
Dang this was a better promo for tudor than the video on their channel
Way better, those Tudor promos are unwatchable🤢
