I think you are 100% correct on slightly bigger indicies. I love the white opaline dial, but it does seem a bit empty. I hope this watch gets a bit of a makeover in a year or two, and they make it a bit thinner with bigger indicies and their t-fit clasp. That would be legendary. ❤

I have had the black dial version for a year and I am still in love with mine, it's a perfect fit for my 7 1/4 wrist , to me it's all about the movement and the warranty. My only complaint is the lume, but I have a growing stockpile of san martin homages that I frequently swap out at night anyway, to keep the gold diggers focused and in case the watch gets smashed or dropped. I loved this watch before I ever saw one. I started w/seiko divers in the early 80's , and to me a watch needs to have some size and command presence for it to establish superiority when surrounded by 98% of other watches. Great minds think alike! thank you for this video and thank you for you service also.

Agree. I bough mine (black dial and bracelet) two years and a half ago. Everything works perfectly I love it and I don't care about that people are talking about thickness, bracelet rivets...they seems like parrots.

Randy I love your content on both channels as I’m both a watch and audio enthusiast. Been collecting watches for 30 years, ever since my first watch at age 12. My wife gifted me the BB GMT black dial for our 10th wedding anniversary and it’s the absolute favorite in my collection of over 50 and counting - I love the size, the aluminum bezel, the hands, fake rivets, and how it IS NOT a Rolex which may be the best part - all of the benefits without the cachet/baggage. I tend toward micro brands but this one first me perfectly. The sentimental value is also tremendous. Thanks for always doing a great job, Randy. Hope to run in to you at one of the audio fests one of these days. Bravo.

Yes, I'm totally with you on the date - No date isn't a deal breaker on a watch, but when I'm spending serious money, I don't want any compromises. If I get a Tudor, it'll probably have to be the GMT for that reason.

This Tudor watch is quite thick, it is 14.6mm thick.
I highly recommend to try wearing it and then decide.
It was too thick for my taste and the reason I did not buy it.
If you like it and are comfortable wearing it on your wrist then by all means buy it as it is a very good value for a high quality GMT watch.
The Tudor Black Bay GMT (model M79830RB-0001) lists for $4,375.

I agree the indices need to be bigger to fill the dial better. Case needs to be thinner. Fourteen-point-five is way too thick for me. It would have to be under 13mm for me to consider it at all. Prefer brushed finishing on the case sides. Other than that, I think it looks good.

What a great review - the best imo on the GMT opaline. I own both Tudor GMT's and love them, even owning a Rolex 1675 and a current Rolex GMT BLRO. Tudor has their own style and it justifies owning one (or more) besides Rolex.

    • @user-zm2dh7lt2w

I would also argue that although I like the look of the GMT opaline dial on a bracelet way more than the nato strap, it definitely feels better on that nato. Lighter and more versatile.

I went to my AD to try on the GMT expecting to love it and right away I noticed that the indices felt a little too small in person. Not something I noticed in photos. They only had the black but I think I'd way prefer opaline. Since it'd be my first expensive watch, I couldn't quite pull the trigger. I then tried on a green Seamaster 300M on the bracelet and absolutely loved it. The green was amazing in person and I agree that the design overall just felt much more complete. Both awesome watches.

I could have bought the Deep Sea at retail and didn’t take it. Too heavy. Pointless heavy watch. The Omega has that huge wart that ruins the watch. A 55 hour power reserve on the Omega isn’t good enough for a luxury watch. The Tudor is nice for the price. The movement keeps wonderful time and the 70 hour power reserve, should be the minimum for a luxury watch.
