now that u said it. girl I think that's true. because i have a sweet tooth i freaking love sweets and cakes and chocolates. and i stopped eating sugar when i discovered stevia. also as im getting older i noticed sugar hurts my stomach now. i feel acidic and it hurts. so i switched to stevia. doesn't taste the same but its okay. still sweet and still yummy without the acid feel on my gut. and my skin has drastically improved. no more bumps on my thighs. minimal bumps on my arm cause i cant get rid of rice. im asian. but my chest, my arms my thighs are like when i was in highschool. smooth. girl you're right.
Ive had KP since a young child and have never been insulin resistant, diabetic, or had eczema. During allergy season I sometimes wheeze and was given an asthma inhaler.

My daughter had keratosis Pilaris she had a issue with dairy So we cut that out from her diet, she now has goats milk instead of cows milk. This helped in conjunction with a zinc cream !❤
To ANYONE who has contact dermatitis, PLEASE make sure you ask your dermatologist and/or allergist before using anything with Urea! Urea is a form of formaldehyde that will cause an allergic reaction in some people! ❤

❤❤❤ this is much appreciated! Looking for a UK version of amlactin! Also would love if you did one for the most cracked and destroyed heels that don’t shed with glycolic or the ordinary …
I have to wonder if just applying a cheap AHA serum typically sold for the face with an occlusive over the top would do the trick 🤔 There are several body creams and lotions with AHA in, but they just seem disproportionately priced for what they are 😒
amlactin has 15% lactic acid… and not sure if ameliorate has that too know it has LaH6 second on the list, but that’s a hydration compound. Exactly, I wouldn’t see why not .. what comes to mind is TO AHABHA wash off after a few minutes and apply a body cream… let’s hope Naturium comes with something similar to amlactin and makes it available at space NK.
@@andreearadulescu9340 I think convenience would be important for frequent application, so I was thinking maybe getting a cheap AHA toner, one that has a watery texture, and putting it in a spray bottle to spray on. I’m unsure what minimum strength would be sufficient, presumably around 10% works, but could always experiment by working your way up in strength until you hit the sweet spot?
I have the same problem, I have kp and use retinoids but my 2 year old has it on his arms and it drives me crazy, lotion doesn't really make a difference so I've just ignored it. I just did a quick Google search and we are not alone! There are many posts about child-safe kp products, mostly ages 3+ so I'll probably just start applying it once he's 3. Amlactin and CeraVe SA both looked like great options.
@@LittleDebbie11Just make sure you are vigilant with sunscreen on any areas you treat with any of the lactic acid/ammonium lactate products -- they are AHAs and make the skin more sun sensitive. The urea creams might be a better choice for a child.
Can you please talk about how to treat Papular acne scarring? It’s a very under recognized scar type in the dermatological community. How to prevent scars from forming from nodules cystic acne?
Hey, the Amlactin lotion is “Ammonium Lactate” not “Lactic Acid”. Could u please tell me how much weaker Ammonium Lactate is compared to actual Lactic Acid?
Ammonium lactate is a compound that includes lactic acid. The only comparative study from like 1990ish? Compared 5% lactic acid with 12% ammonium lactate, and the data showed the ammonium lactate to actually be more effective in the treatment of dry skin.
I must disagree with the good doctor. Keratosis pilaris occurs inside the pore/follicle: as such, it needs ingredients that can work there, i.e. salicylic acid (BHA) (AHAs like lactic acid work only on skin's surface). A well-formulated BHA product (Paula's Choice makes several), plus removing hair from the root in affected areas if they're hairy, equals no more KP.
Hi dr can you please recommend me any moisturizer , i have cystic acne and getting it treated by isotretinoin gel in combo with eryhtromycin at night + azelaic acid 20% in morning but these treatments sting and irritate to some extent on my cheeks, i have cerave cream but i get really warm sensation of it after application, can you please recommend me something that's hydrating but not too heavy to irritate my acne more and make this treatment tolerable for me, I'm from Pakistan, mentioning area of living to give you idea of weather
Is there a downside to using amlactin without having an excess amt of bumps as prevention? Like there are a teeny tiny bit of bumps on my arms but not KP patches,
the first two are moisturisers so choose between the two and the last one is retinol which is completely different (you can definitely try moisturiser + retinol but for a lot of people a gentle exfoliator and then a moisturiser suffices)
Does nobody tell these kids there’s no point in an advert if your speech is incomprehensibly garbled and that to point is extremely rude and alienating?
I HATE MY ARMS AND LEGS HATE HATE HATE KP 😭 it's not fair why do i have to spend money and time on this stupid genetic condition And i can never dress the way i want 😭 not only do i have to care about hair, i also have to care about this stupid bumpy chicken skin
I read a study that linked keratosis pilaris to high insulin levels. Reducing sugar is also good way to get rid of them.

You are correct tbh. Women with untreated PCOS have this more than likely and 95% of women with it have insulin resistance..

Ditch carbs and sugar. Skintags are due a metabolic problem.
I heard they can be removed rather easily with some treatments from certain facilities. I'd honestly just get it removed that way; seems easier.
Watch Dr Berg. He has many good videos on this and skin tags.
Can you please share each of the products and steps in writing? I wasn't able to catch some of the products because of the movement. Thanks!

I've heard in other videos doctors say if you have a gut issue it will show in your skin.
I took some probiotics for a while and it helped my keratosis pilaris a looooot so I think this can be my case
Dr berg is excellent with these sorts of issues in relation to the foods we eat/lack of vitamins and nutrients.

Yes! Retinol has so many uses
@@shereeneidriss thank you for the information. I appreciate it.
