I am 32 and still have acnee and hyperpigmentation and oily skin. I cannot remember to not have acnee, and of course that no one ever told me to not to touch them and how to take care of them. Hello Dr. Idriss, I'm going to forward your video to my 25 yr old daughter who is in Medical School 😊 however I got her in the habit of skincare in her teens, now she does exactly what you just advised! Her sunscreen of choice is Supergoop, Unseen (won't use anything else). I too spent 100s of hrs in the library during the pharmacy school - such a little nerd I was lol. 🙏❤
Took very diligent notes throughout the video, this gives me so much to go on and thank you for the educational videos I really needed someone to sit me down and explain what the hell I'm doing as a 27 yr old woman who has been in and out of skincare routines since she was 15, but now I have a great baseline!
I absolutely love the Bioderma Sensibio gel cleanser!! Doesn't irritate my skin, nice and lightweight, and it does a really good job washing off my makeup, and it's not super expensive 😊
Meeee!!!😂 Trust me in my country is almost imposible, but let me tell you one thing: money comes back, collagen doesn't. I work my ass off but always save money for skincare, I've been doing it since a year ago and trust me it worth it, my skin looks beautiful, I'm 27 years old and people always think I'm 20 😊. PS: I only use 4 in the morning products plus Retinol 5 times a week always at night
you only need 3 things. cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen. the rest of it is optional and depends on the person's specific skin issues. but as long as you cleanse, moisturize and protect you should be fine.
can you PLEASE make an in depth video about combination skin 😭😭 idk how much to exfoliate or how to target my acne without inflaming my whole face or what moisturizer won’t peel but will actually moisturize me. it’s so hard 😭😭😭
Having sensitive acne prone skin is a nightmare. All I can suggest is to be selective about targeting the acne and otherwise use products to calm, hydrate, and support your skin barrier. Maybe use your face wash to target the acne, as it’ll only be a few minutes contact time. The Kate Somerville “Eradikate” one she showed in this video is actually pretty ideal for sensitive acne prone skin, as sulphur is one of the least irritating things you can use for acne and it also contains oat to soothe. Another good one is Versed’s “Keep the Peace” cleanser, as it contains 1.5% salicylic acid, but also contains blue tansy (same active as chamomile) to calm. Both cleansers are creamy and non-drying. As for what to leave on your skin to target acne? Azelaic acid might be your best bet, as it’s also a treatment for rosacea, so pretty much designed to help reduce redness and inflammation, along with doing a pretty good job of fighting bacteria. The hypochlorous acid spray she showed can also be used as a toning mist to reduce bacteria without being too harsh. With everything else, I’d just focus on being gentle and kind to your skin for now. Aloe vera, ceramides, oat, centella, and blue tansy are your friend. And don’t be afraid to use facial oils, as there’s a theory that by applying oil yourself, you’re beating your skin to it and so it tricks it into not producing as much sebum. Some oils to try might be The Ordinary’s sea buckthorn oil (can reduce inflammation) or oat/ceramide facial oils, such as Pacifica’s “Vegan Ceramide Face Oil” or Kinship’s “Oat Ceramide Relief Oil”. You don’t need to use a crazy amount, we’re talking like a drop or two and you can mix it in with your moisturiser (otherwise use as the last step at night). And remember that anything you use, you don’t need to use on your whole face. If your cheeks are dry, you could just oil your cheeks and leave the rest of your face, for example. With any luck, the oil should absorb and not feel greasy. If the irritation calms down after all this, you could consider trying to introduce things like vitamin C and retinoids, but wait for things to calm down first. AHAs may never be your friend and aren’t the best for treating acne anyway, they’re more for helping with acne scars and boosting collagen, but retinoids can help with those anyway, along with treating acne, without the same level of irritation. Try to resist the urge to rush to that point and just focus on calming your skin down for now, though. Maybe in a few months, everything will have calmed down and you can tiptoe in with the other stuff. And don’t feel the need to go overkill on the suggested ingredients either. As long as the ingredient is in one product, it doesn’t need to be in every product you use. Like, probably best not to buy the whole line of a particular range if all the products contain pretty much the same active ingredients. If you use a salicylic acid face wash, you don’t also need a salicylic acid serum, for example. Hope this helps🤞🏻
I don't know if you'll read this, but for someone who lives in the middle east, most of these products are not available for me, but we have access to Korean skin care products so if you can do a video on Korean skincare products that would be super helpful! thank you

Thank you so much for this Dr. Shereene. I've been working on building a solid skincare routine addressing my hormonal acne and this has enlightened me about a lot of things. ❤
Dear Shereene, would you be able to recommend some products specific for skin that is exposed to (chlorinated) water, please? I'm 43 years old and in the swimming pool 5 times a week for 90-180 minutes and always on the lookout for regenerating skin/hair and nail products. After my swim I'm using body oil on my body, and retinol serums for the face, along with a caffeine eye serum and a then a peptide moisturiser on top. I switch between brands, depending on what's on offer. If you are aware of any products specifically for swimmers, please share! Thanks a lot! 🏊♀️
This video is perfect! I’ve researched a lot regarding adding retinoid and actives to my skincare routine, but I’m so worried about how they interact with one another. I’ve read so many things saying not to combine retinoids with vitamin C or glycolic acid. I’ve read things saying to use different ingredients on opposite days. I have introduced adapalene to my routine and I got to the point of being able to use it daily, but I stopped using it for a few months now since it didn’t appear to help my skin. I’m not sure what to start for my skin and how I can prevent sensitivity introducing more actives into my skincare routine
Hello Dr.Idriss. Hope your day is good. Could you talk about skincare and more mature skin, and some basic treatments in office. I don’t have 50 years old but I do research for my mum. Thank you:)
Yessss. I’m currently 25 years old, and I only started getting acne a few weeks/months before I turned 25. I’m hoping maybe it’s an expired product, because I never had acne as a teenager. :’) I’ve always had normal-type skin.
I'm almost 24 and I just started using skin care products I use moisturizer, sunscreen and cleanser I plan on getting vitamin c serum I also have acne traces

Was hoping you'd talk more about sulfur cleanser, & how sulfur works in helpung skin. Its an ingredient I havent heard too much about, & dont see being used by many.
I would love to see you but I know the waiting is really long. Would you be able to make a video for skin with after acne skin. I had cystic acne and I have many scars that left the indented scars in the skin. Mostly in my chicks and jawline. What would you recommend for smoothing it out? Thank you 🌸🌸🌸
i have so many skin problems that are equally bad i don’t even know what to prioritize. active acne and clogged pores, bad scars and wrinkles from years of skin picking, PIH and PIE, dryness, really thin skin around my eyes causing terrible dark circles, fine lines over the entire surface of my skin that are rapidly getting deeper, eyelid drooping/sagging, volume loss especially in my lips cheeks and temples, and honest to god jowls. on top of that serious hair thinning and a receding hairline, dry, loose, crepey skin on much of my body, and all-over stretch marks. i’m 21 and live a decently healthy lifestyle, just cursed with terribly unlucky genetics. and in no way can i afford to address all of these problems. it’s unbelievably depressing to look so rough at what should be the peak of my youth. i look easily 30 and i know i will age poorly even with all the best interventions i can afford.
Hey!, I'm 17 and i have got white heads on my chin same as u said for urs in ur 20's also some weird hyperpigmentation ( multiple super tiny pimples on my left cheek below, it is dark then my real skin colour which is more yellowish considered brown in general) i've been getting so irritated as everyone keeps pointing out and i get reminded seeing ur vids now i know what to do and why it happened altho I'm from india can't prolly buy ur products but i watched or other video regarding skincare in which u mentioned differnt types of acids for different skin tones requires in cleanser, moisture and sunscreen. Age 27, can I use tretenoin 0.5% gel twice a week? Using once a week since last 6 months. Overall glow I have but between my monthly cycle I generally get acne breakouts during ovulation period, I had no acne history in my teens, this started since last 2 years, that it leaves brown acne spots

I’ve managed to get other recommended products shipped from abroad (without too crazy shipping prices) if they’re not available to buy here, but no option for that with her own products 🙃 Not sure if you have Boots in your country, but they sell Byoma and have literally just started selling Bubble?
Would love if you could make a video on what to do for super crepe neck if you can’t afford a procedure 🙁 And also is it possible to have great skin in your 50’s if you are just now starting to take care of your skin, can you repair damage this late in life? ❤

Hello, Dr. Idriss! I hope you can help me. I'm 37 and I have crepey skin on my cheeks and it makes me look a lot older. :((( Is it possible to reverse that? Maybe you can recommend some products and a routine. A video about this would be really helpful. Thank you for everything you teach us! ❤
Since turning 25, I've been dealing with persistent breakouts, getting 2 to 3 pimples monthly for the past 6 months. It's been frustrating, especially after completing a two-year Accutane treatment at 19, where I didn't experience a single pimple afterward. Now, the acne has resurfaced, and it's affecting me both physically and emotionally. I've consulted with three different dermatologists over the last 5 months, investing a significant amount of money, but my situation has worsened. Alongside breakouts, I've noticed redness around my cheeks, unsure if it's dermatitis or another issue, and it keeps recurring. I'm feeling exhausted and bewildered, questioning if this is a side effect of Accutane, and why the acne is more severe than before. If you have any insights, I'd truly appreciate understanding where I might have gone wrong.
hello.... a kind and humble request... Can u make this same video but with a twist i.e. ur version of skincare for ur 20's but sharing indian pharmacy products. 🙏
Hi! Thank you for tour video! Are AHA safe to use in summer? I'm 26yo and I have hyperpigmentation, I'm worried acids may make me more sun sensitive even with an SPF
AHA are not the only options to fight hyperpimentation. Vit C. Azelaic acid, Alpha Arbutin, Niacinamide.... all can be used during day time and in the summer too. I also have to be careful with hyperpimentation...and I have a youtube channel where I share skincare tips if you're interested.
1 - focus on your main skin problem
2 - wash face at night, apply sunscreen in day
3 - main issues= acne, pih, oily/ dry skin, environment shift ( understand the environment u living in)
4- cleanser = double cleansing with oil based cleanser / Micellar water then wash off with regular cleanser. If having active acne then wash off with cleanser having actives like benzoyl peroxide (panoxyl) Or a sulphur cleanser

4- serums = problem focused like niacinamide5% + zinc
5- retinols = type + percentage matters , consistency over intensity. No irritation is the key
6 - eye cream = moisturize with regular one and apply thin layer of Vaseline
7 - moisturizer according to your climate and skintype = byoma gel moisturizer
8 - sunscreen
To simplify it more cleanse, treat and protect
1-cleanser = oil based cleanser/micellar water, regular water based cleanser
2- treat = aha, bha, azelaic acid, retinoids ( for acne and pih )
3 - protect = moisturizers and sunscreen

Took very diligent notes throughout the video, this gives me so much to go on and thank you for the educational videos I really needed someone to sit me down and explain what the hell I'm doing as a 27 yr old woman who has been in and out of skincare routines since she was 15, but now I have a great baseline!
Also, I love the emphasis on the climate. I don't see many derms talking about that.
Me in my 40’s totally invested in this video! ❤
Hey I’m 20 and I’ve been waiting for a video like this from you.
I absolutely love the Bioderma Sensibio gel cleanser!! Doesn't irritate my skin, nice and lightweight, and it does a really good job washing off my makeup, and it's not super expensive 😊
Thank god i got about another 2 years of my 20s. Enough time to glow coming into my 30s.
Im 28 so this stuff is great to learn in my 20s!
I like how you’re so proud about the products you’ve made. More power to you! Who run the world? GIRLS 🌟💃🏻
Already feeling a difference by switching my cleanser to vanicream, thank you so much!
You’re the best! You really make it simple and I love it.
I had dull skin tone fine lines and very thin skin like paper since 18. Now at 27 i have much more youthful skin because i take care of it
Watching this as a pharmacy student taking notes
I'm 57 AND I still love to hear your stream no matter what 😂🎉
Anyone else in their twenties who can't afford 50 different skincare products? Lmao
I was waiting for this video for a long time!! Thank you 😍😍
🙌🙌
why does no one talk about acne in your late 20s!! I used to never break out and now i get pimples every month :(((
I ve been waiting for this my whole life! Perfect timing!🎉
What happens at 60?🤔 My skin on chin and forehead; they are thankful to Dr. Idriss❤️💋❤️ I need you and appreciate your effort ❤️
I don't know if you'll read this, but for someone who lives in the middle east, most of these products are not available for me, but we have access to Korean skin care products so if you can do a video on Korean skincare products that would be super helpful! thank you
I love your videos, intelligence, and energy!💜
Please do one for young teens!!
I LEARNED SO MUCH ❤❤❤❤❤ THANK YOUUUUUU
Thank you for talking about the environment!
Hi doctor! I love your Pillow talk every Saturday! Thank you for sharing, and I also used to study 12 hours a day in doctoral school.
I seriously can’t say enough good things about that Kate Somerville sulfur cleanser. Shit is seriously like magic for my face. Need to plan a trip to Iceland and live in those hot springs for a week
Can you please talk about the in office treatment options for broken capillaries on the face caused by popping pimples and waxing?
Thank you Dr. Shereene. You the best. ❤ Cannot wait for next Saturday. ❤
I love your videos, they are very helpful!!
I hope you will ship to Europe someday because I really want to try your products.
Obsessed with these pillotalks and love learning from you Dr Idriss! 🙏💕✨
I am turning 22 and I am really feeling the hormonal shifts. I thought I would feel 18 forever lol. Just adapting to the changes!
YOU ARE EXXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL
Good morning! I’m your new fan!!! Love your videos! I purchased couple of your products and can’t wait for this shipment ❤️❤️
Thank you so much for this Dr. Shereene. I've been working on building a solid skincare routine addressing my hormonal acne and this has enlightened me about a lot of things. ❤
I would say many Korean brands have sunscreens that are actually non irritating and fairly affordable!
Thankyou sooooo muchhhhh for this video!😊
29 year old dry skin living in Utah. 😅 Can't wait to see what I learn from this
You are so amazing!!! Thank You for sharing so many informations:)) it helps a lot :)
Hello Dr.Idriss. Hope your day is good. Could you talk about skincare and more mature skin, and some basic treatments in office. I don’t have 50 years old but I do research for my mum. Thank you:)
Thank you for this amazing night routine
Please start shipping to the uk 😢
Im 27 and just now learning how to do skincare because i never bothered with it but realized how much my face has changed in the last few years and its jarring
Why do we need a vitamin C in our 20s? And what about peptides? At which age should we start using them to prevent aging?
you go straight to the point! loveeee. tysm❤
Thank you so much!!! This helped me so much!!
I absolutely love your videos. Thank you for all your knowledge
Dr idriss do videos for skin care according to what city you live in, and pick capitals. For example new Delhi….
Extremely useful i just needed that ❤❤❤❤
So glad that was helpful! 🙌
I would like to get a video on various skin treatment like hydra facials, laser and botox
Was hoping you'd talk more about sulfur cleanser, & how sulfur works in helpung skin. Its an ingredient I havent heard too much about, & dont see being used by many.
This is really helpful.
Hi Dr. Idriss. Thank you for the video it has really helped me. Can you please discuss pores on the skin please.
Dr Shereene, please cover the patented version of Bakuchiol Sytenol A.
The scientific data is exceptionally exciting and promising for anti-aging! ❤
Can you make a video for a skincare routine for teenagers?
23 and although i do take care of my skin i have to admit i am not consistent with sunscreen at all which is probably the most important
Your accent is really nice
so trueeee about the environment because i had to change my entire routine when i moved back home frm university.
Please kindly make a video targeting on dark lip /pigmentation on lip and how to reduce it
Hey!, I'm 17 and i have got white heads on my chin same as u said for urs in ur 20's also some weird hyperpigmentation ( multiple super tiny pimples on my left cheek below, it is dark then my real skin colour which is more yellowish considered brown in general) i've been getting so irritated as everyone keeps pointing out and i get reminded seeing ur vids now i know what to do and why it happened altho I'm from india can't prolly buy ur products but i watched or other video regarding skincare in which u mentioned differnt types of acids for different skin tones requires in cleanser, moisture and sunscreen.
I never used sunscreen n now i can see my results🤡🥲.
so from now i will go thru the ingredients and buy something like that in india🐬
Thankyou for ur vids
Thank you so much doctor we really appreciate you ❤
Age 27, can I use tretenoin 0.5% gel twice a week? Using once a week since last 6 months. Overall glow I have but between my monthly cycle I generally get acne breakouts during ovulation period, I had no acne history in my teens, this started since last 2 years, that it leaves brown acne spots
Hi .is loreal triple power eye cream good for pigmented dark under eye?do you recommend it?or roc is better?
Thank you for your video!! So helpful, can you do the same video with similar products we can find in Europe ? It's hard to find those products 😂
The irony is her own products are like the only products I can’t get hold of in the UK. I’ve managed to get other recommended products shipped from abroad (without too crazy shipping prices) if they’re not available to buy here, but no option for that with her own products 🙃
Not sure if you have Boots in your country, but they sell Byoma and have literally just started selling Bubble?
@@spookylittlebat hi neighbour, I’m from France :( I can only get weleda, eucerin, la Roche posay and cera ve products here
Me at 32 still watching this
I feel seen
Would love if you could make a video on what to do for super crepe neck if you can’t afford a procedure 🙁
And also is it possible to have great skin in your 50’s if you are just now starting to take care of your skin, can you repair damage this late in life? ❤
Hi Dr. Idriss! I’m an Arab American medical student and I love seeing your videos because they’re very inspirational to me. Are you Arab American as well? I just assumed from the name but I wanted to ask. Love your content.
Hello! I enjoy every of your videos and learn a lot from it. I would like to see a video about eczema on scalp. Shampoos or serums you recommend for it. I live in Denmark and here doctors are a bit different then in USA. ❤❤
could i use vitamin c and benzoyl peroxide together in my morning routine but put them on different areas of the face?
Hello, Dr.
Are you sure your skin barrier is not compromised?
hello.... a kind and humble request...
Was so waiting for this . thank you so much for this Dr. Idriss
When you use the roller to depuff your eyes in the morning does it stay depuffed throughout the day?
thanks again, queen
Thank you so much!❤
Thank you 😊
