Can someone help me. Used to have acne free skin all my life (yeah 1-2 pops out once a month but gone within 2-3 days). Since these pandemic, developed hyperpigmentation & dark spots on both cheeck which i didn't really mind until my mum told me to take care of my skin back. Tried few new ones since my cetaphil that been using for 5-6years didnt work for me now. Nothings worked. But d acne still just pops out once a month then. Went to a dentist May last year, notice got tiny sandy bumps all over my cheeks after treatment. Thought it would go away, they turn to pimples that i never see before. Bought a serum fkr d pimples, then someone mixed d serum w another serum, makes it worse. When i see that it clears a bit on d right side, d left side got more pimples that hurts & tiny bumps to my forehead now. I dont know what to do.. Diet been d same.
Listening to Idyrss has changed my skin massively in a year. Its crazy what OTC stuff has done for me. And I'm finally trying a prescribed retinoid this month - something i never would have known to ask for - My family doctor is a G. His wife is a dermatologist & i told him I've been wanting to try tret, but it'll probably never happen for me - I'm low income & on disability. Found out Disability covers tret in Canada 😮 and the whole thing was freeeee dollars. I was spending $60 a month on LA Roch posay retinol & now I can invest that in a nicer moisturizer or something
Actually I believe he said it's the third(?) Generation of topical retinoids he suggests (I haven't gotten it yet). So would that be adapalene? So just a heads up to Canadians watching, it might be covered even if you have a basic ass drug plan
I ditched the physical scrubs thanks to you, and my skin's never been softer or smoother. However, I have a couple of questions for you: 1. What if your acne-prone skin is DRY not OILY? Most advice lumps acne-prone skin in with oily skin, but my skin is dry. 2. How do you figure out what your biggest skin problem is? For instance, I have rough texture, hyperpigmentation, dryness, and acne. How do I decide what to focus on first? Is there a particular order I should tackle these issues in? Thank you!
I’ve been saying for 6 years how I found hyaluronic acid to be an issue for my skin no matter how much or little I used. It always made my face feel tight and I’d get acne. No one believed me but I’m glad you’re spreading the word!!❤
I had horrible back acne and I started using 20% mandelic acid and it got worse for a few days and then cleared up and I still have no acne on my back! I was so confident on my wedding day because of it!❤
I feel SO validated by the "limit hyaluronic acid" section. I've recently started looking for products that have HA in them and cutting them out because I've noticed that it seems to really aggravate my skin despite the internet saying it should be soothing and gentle for my skin 🤷♀️ I love Korean sunscreens because the ones we have here in the United States irritate my sensitive eyes and skin but I recently tried the isntree hyaluronic acid sunscreen and kept getting extremely hot and flushed by the end of the day even when the weather was quite chilly and I realized whenever I used my sunscreen it didn't burn and sting my eyes or my skin when I first put it on but throughout the day it just seemed to make my skin more and more angry until I felt like I needed to wash my face and run it under cool water. Now I'm trying to cut out hyaluronic acid entirely to see if it's been a stealthy contributor to some of my redness and sensitivity since they put it in everything 😂 I thought I might be over reacting or misattributing my reaction to a harmless ingredient but now I'm extra excited to see how my experiment pans out!
My skin also doesn't react well to hyaluronic acid. It becomes so much dryer and irritated. It has become really hard to find skincare or makeup without any hyaluronic acid in it. I at least try to make certain it's as far down on the ingredient list as possible. I used a sunscreen with HA in it and after I removed my makeup my face looked so red and angry. It also makes my lips more chapped and cracked if I use products containing HA. If I do use a product with HA, at night I make certain to apply a heavier moisturizer to try to reclaim some of the moisture the HA essentially took from my face. The HA just temporarily plumps then it has the reverse effect on me.
I love how effortlessly she explains things. My skin has improved so much since I started following her advice. Ty for the integrity you pour into this channel! I’ve been on a tighter budget + bc of you, my skin hasn’t had to experience the effects of it. In 2025 I’ll be continuing to focus on wellness, joy, + career! You?
Dr. Idriss, thank you for another video! I wanted to mention that TikTok adds an automatic blur feature even if you don’t turn on filters. There is kind of a secret auto-filter for every video filmed in TikTok. So whenever you film your videos directly in TikTok app, there will be an automatic filter added. I am not sure if the same happens if you film using a camera app and then upload the video to TikTok. I am saying this bc some people think you are lying when you say you don’t use filters. I don’t doubt you are saying the truth but you are probably unaware of this issue with tik Tok, as many other creators. only recently some creators realised it and started making comparison videos of themselves filmed in TikTok app and on camera app. They

The hyaluronic acid is so true!!! I ran out of my hyaluronic acid serum two months ago. I haven’t bought it because of the hefty prive tag (88€) but actually, my skin is indeed much better and less inflamed!!
I started using my Avene Retrinal on the back of my hands at night a couple of months ago. I now see a visible improvement in the age spots and overall appearance. I also put sunscreen on the backs of my hands when driving.
It is very good that you use sunscreen on you hands, but I think you should know that the windscreen, well actually all of the glass parts of a car have uv protection.
Ditch HA! I agree with Dr, it's such overblown ingredient that caused me so much problems in spring this 2024. I found this great content and Dr Idriss just trying to solve my redness and itchiness
Dear Doc Idriss, Thank You for teaching so many of us so much in such an approachable and educative way, I know many are so grateful as I am! In the new year I would love to hear more on the topics of platelet-rich plasma (both hair and face) and red light therapy in more detail, as well as stem cell therapy for skin and hair, as all of this seems promising from some observational points, but still have inconclusive study results.
What are the differemces, and pros and cons of Glycolic, lactic anf mandelic acid, when to use which one, how to incorporate them, and which one can be combined in one day/one routine, to treat and prevent different kinds of acne, clogged pores, dark marks after the acne / discoloration, on the body? Thank you.
Thank you Dr. Shereene for your Expert Tips. I have been following you since 2020, and my skin is glowinggggg because of you. ❤🎉 Love from the Philippines.🇵🇭
🙏🙏Please, please recommend a sunscreen that won’t break me out. Every sunscreen I’ve tried, no matter how high end and promising they seem, they have all given me acne 😩 why?? And thank you for all your content this year☺️☺️
I'm acne-prone and the only sunscreen I can tolerate is Biore UV Aqua Rich. I have to buy it online as it's not available in my country but it's the only one that doesn't make me break out, doesn't make me look greasy and doesn't make my eyes sting
New Year’s resolution, in office procedures. I’ve developed a solid routine. I use at home devices routinely. Now I’d like to take it up a notch and start seeing a professional to really knock it out the park.
Turning 34 this year and my resolution is to start 😬 some kind of skin care .... my concerns are lark circle and lines Under my eyes and I only have a darker coloring around my mouth that makes me self conscious...of course I'm suppose to be fight aging I guess 🤪 I'm very minimal and I wear a tinted spf as my makeup and I usual just wash my face with water only 🤷🏼♀️ so I'm hear to learn. I got derma e vitamin c serum and a nightie moisturizer in my fff subscription box and have been using both for a month. Im here to learn and figure out what will help me and is the best routine in least steps
Hi Doctor thanks for your video as always ❤ I was wondering about In which order should we use actives on a weekly basis ? Vit c / exfoliation / retinol etc... Thank u very much
Dr Idris, I’m out of loss here. I’ve been diligent about my skin for a year and a half and I’m still struggling with some very small white bumps. I heard calcification may be the issue. Sometimes I try to pop them but it looks like they are very hard to pop but the stuff inside is a bit hard. Also sometimes nothing pop is just blood. I’ve been on prescribed tretinoid, BHA acid, aha acid, vitamin c, all of the products in your line and always sunscreen. I’m so frustrated please help!🙏❤️❤️🥰🥰
Ever since watching your channel, I have had people ask me if I’m getting Botox! I’m not! I’m just following great advice. I just got your whole system for Christmas, so i’m three days into using it! I definitely will re-buy the deep puffer and the serum and the mask!
I try to avoid physical exfoliation, but I've found that Pai's Virtuous Circle Kukui and Jojoba Bead Exfoliator is perfect when I've got a lot of gunk (i.e., silicones, skin flakes, etc.) that just doesn't want to come off. The result is smooth yet soothed skin.
I want to thank you for your vidéos. I learned a lot and I began to take better care of my skin. I want to loose weight and I would like to have more informations for body care if possible. Thank you again and happy New Year!!!!
Thank you dr. Idriss! I love your channel. My New Year’s resolution is to get my skin back to a place where I can use retinol again (long story, working with my derm, don’t worry 😊). I really need some help with my hidradenitis suppurativa. I would love you to do a deep dive on that, I know it’s not truly “cosmetic” except it kind of is…. Outside of the pain etc. I just got my Humira increased so hopefully that calms it down but I’d still love to know more of the causes/processes behind it, and home care that can help in addition to the meds from dr. Can’t wait for your teased product to come out 💋
My skin is so much better after i quit hyaluronic acid. I used a ha+pga serum and used to think its indispensable for my skin. My moisturizer has ha and so is my sunscreen but my rosacea acne prone sensetive skin is so much better off without the serum
Always so helpful!! 😊 I recently just started my hormonal acne, (I’m in my early 30’s ~starting Spironolactone) , I also have Rosacea. could you please make a video for skin care routine with active and non active ingredients. I’ve seen your videos on hormonal acne but I’m still lost on what and when to use. I just want to make sure I don’t over do it. Thank you in advance! I currently have Panoxyl for my cleanser, Paula’s choice salicylic acid, VT reedle 100 shot, Glycolic acid exfoliating toner, some serum with niacinamide and Isntree hyaluronic acid moisturizer cream.
Hi!! 👋 Huge fan, longtime pillowtalk follower here! I’m a 35yo with no prior skin issues, but for the last two weeks, I’ve had a horrible rash that looks very similar to perioral dermatitis, however it’s more focused around my nose and smile lines. Urgent care clinic wasn’t sure whether it was viral or bacterial so just threw the kitchen sink at me (valtrex and mupirocin 2%). Other potentially relevant info: this began around the time I got COVID, but unlikely to be maskne because didn’t wear a mask (instead isolated for 1.5 wks); started two new products around this time: Dior forever matte foundation and skinfix triple lipid peptide barrier cream. Currently trying to get in with a dermatologist, but I’m desperate for any expert input/advice right now! I’m supposed to meet my newborn nephew next week, but will have to cancel is this is contagious! 😭
Yes! Hyaluronic acid absolutely leaves my skin drier for some reason, i dont use it to hydrate at all but just for a little plumping before other products. Also bc i bought such a big batch i dont want it to go to waste lol! I tried Tret on my neck once and learned the hard way wow that skin is sensitive! Then I put some on my shoulders and upper arms and I ended up with light spots that took months to even out. Any idea why that happened? Ty for all the tips! And happy New Year!!! 🥳
Always the best advises from dr Idriss!👏 I actually broke the code of layering hydration and it has shown massive improvements! I do use a hyaluronic acid serum in one of thoses layers🫢, but it has b5 and something else in it, and on me, it works wonder, together with other moisturing products layered (that has no hyaluronic acid at all). Also, the lower percent glycolic acid was a game changer, as I used to get irritation when too high. So greatful for all your top notch advises & tips!!🙏Happy new year!🥳
Hi, Dr. Idris, I hope you’re doing well. I wanted to seek your advice regarding my skin concerns. I have keratosis pilaris on the back of my legs and arms. I’ve been using a 10% urea cream for a couple of years now, applying it daily in the evenings. While it has improved the KP on my arms, there hasn’t been much improvement on my legs. I also have hyperpigmentation on my back, groin area, and arms. I don’t have eczema, and I’m not sure why I’m experiencing this pigmentation. I use sunscreen daily and have tried various skin-lightening products over the years, but nothing has really helped. Currently, I’m using a 7% glycolic acid spray twice a week and moisturizing with urea cream. I know hyperpigmentation is common in people with skin of color, but it’s so frustrating. I eat a balanced diet and exercise regularly. I have South Asian skin. Could you please advise me on how I can better manage these issues? Thank you
Happy New Year! I would love more info on PMLE (?) Polymorphism light eruption, melasma and and maybe any connection between the two!?!? Also, any help with sunscreen REapplicstion when working a job where you sweat most of the job and are exposed to sunlight. Other than this, I personally love all other topics and education in general! 😁
Just wondering.. when you start your routine early in the evening but you will brush your teeth later.. all the area around the mouth will be washed out anyway, so what good is it ? 😢
Hi Dr. Idriss, I just wanted to say thank you so much, your videos really help me! I was wondering if you know of any sunscreens that wash off with just water?

Happy new year Shereene! Thank you for all your videos, I love tuning into class every week and can’t wait for an even better and brighter skin year in 2025. Sending ❤ from Aus 🇦🇺
Thank you!! Happy New Year! ❤️
Woohoo my favorite day of the week! Have a fabulous New Year Nerd!
Shes absolutely right about the HA
Ty for the integrity you pour into this channel! I’ve been on a tighter budget + bc of you, my skin hasn’t had to experience the effects of it.
In 2025 I’ll be continuing to focus on wellness, joy, + career! You?
Great advice teacher! Looking great in those hair highlights which I believe gives a woman's appearance a more youthful and appealing look!!
New Year Resolution: finish and submit my PhD thesis 😂😭🤞 ...skincare (self-care) is part of the "adulting" journey, merci pour vos enseignements!
They
I wanna see more perimenopausal skin care. I am 47 and my skin tanked last year at 46 & again this year and I feel horrible, ugly, and not feminine.
Same ❤ sending hugs
❤ aw. I hear you
Get assessed for HRT ladies!!! ..That one study which stopped docs prescribing them was seriously flawed & informed docs are now changing their mind!
Also diet is everything.. try keto / carnivore!
Oh nooo, that’s probably I am going through now, right side of my face have cystic acne that keeps coming back, ugghh..
Very helpful video tysm dear ma'am pl NXT year more videos on hair care..hair fall after 40.. chemically damaged bleached hair care products.. hair growth etc please ❤️ thank you 🙏🏻
In advance a very happy Happy New year 🎊
Happy New year to you too. By now I am so habituated to applying the darn sunscreen that I caught myself applying it before bed the other night😂
😂😂😂 I’ve reached for sunscreen at night as well, too! We just wanna be ultra prepared 😆
LOL
Thank you for this advice about HA. After cutting it out myself, my PIE has gone from a huge issue to something I don’t think about much. It took way longer than it should have for me to get there so hopefully this video saves people some trouble!
Thanks a lot for all your information and knowledge sharing in 2024 Shereen 👏🙏Keep it up 👍 Wish you and your Family a very Happy, Healthy & prosperous New Year 💐🎊🎉🎀🍰💝
The hyaluronic acid is so true!!! I ran out of my hyaluronic acid serum two months ago. I haven’t bought it because of the hefty prive tag (88€) but actually, my skin is indeed much better and less inflamed!!
This was a very helpful video. I love how you break it down into simple steps.
🙌❤️
I started using my Avene Retrinal on the back of my hands at night a couple of months ago. I now see a visible improvement in the age spots and overall appearance. I also put sunscreen on the backs of my hands when driving.
It is very good that you use sunscreen on you hands, but I think you should know that the windscreen, well actually all of the glass parts of a car have uv protection.
Gracias for tip #1, here is to a healthy and happy 2025, Dr. Idriss ✨🥂🍾🥳
I just love you At 64, I wish there was a Dr like you when I was young ! And the internet 🤦🏻♀️🤣, so I could watch you 🌟🌟🌟🙏🏼
I've never been this early for a video 😂 Love it! Great advice as per usual!
Love from the Philippines.🇵🇭
Thank you so much!!!❤️
Thank you! ❤
See you next year 🎉
❤️❤️❤️
You look so pretty in orange and love the makeup as well ❤
🙏🙏Please, please recommend a sunscreen that won’t break me out.
I have this same problem and I really have tried EVERYTHING. including Korean and Japanese sunscreens.
@ SAME😩
She usually recommends mineral sunscreen for sensitive skin. She has tons of suggestions in many of her videos, especially the sunscreen-focused ones.
Yes! Every time I find one that works for me, it gets discontinued!
New Year’s resolution, in office procedures. I’ve developed a solid routine. I use at home devices routinely. Now I’d like to take it up a notch and start seeing a professional to really knock it out the park.
My goal definitely have a glowing skin like yours! Love it! 😻
Hi Doctor thanks for your video as always ❤
I was wondering about
In which order should we use actives on a weekly basis ?
Those are called Closed comodones
Ever since watching your channel, I have had people ask me if I’m getting Botox! I’m not! I’m just following great advice. I just got your whole system for Christmas, so i’m three days into using it! I definitely will re-buy the deep puffer and the serum and the mask!
Thank you for time stamps!!!
Nice video❤❤
Happy new year !!! Thanks for a awesome year ...not only you helped with my skin ,you kept me lmao 🤣 ...can't wait for new year 🎉❤😊
I want to thank you for your vidéos. I learned a lot and I began to take better care of my skin. I want to loose weight and I would like to have more informations for body care if possible. Thank you again and happy New Year!!!!
Your content is so amazing & much appreciated! Happy New Year, everybody.
What if you workout in the morning? Should you do your am routine prior or post workout? If post.. what do you do after prior?
you're awesome, I love your videos! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and all the work that goes into that! Have New Year to you and yours!
Thank you (and your team) for all the work and dedication!
🙌❤️❤️
Thank you dr. Idriss! I love your channel. My New Year’s resolution is to get my skin back to a place where I can use retinol again (long story, working with my derm, don’t worry 😊).
I really need some help with my hidradenitis suppurativa. I would love you to do a deep dive on that, I know it’s not truly “cosmetic” except it kind of is…. Outside of the pain etc. I just got my Humira increased so hopefully that calms it down but I’d still love to know more of the causes/processes behind it, and home care that can help in addition to the meds from dr.
Can’t wait for your teased product to come out 💋
Happy New Year Dr Idriss
Thank you so much, you help me so much this year. Happy New Year ❤
Thank you so much. Happy New year 🎉❤.
Happy New Year Doctor 🎉❤🎉❤🎉
AWESOME video! Will send to friends! Thx Dr I!
So greatful for all your top notch advises & tips!!🙏Happy new year!🥳
Happy New Year🎉🎉🎉
Love these tips ❤
And happy new year! 🎉
Thank you! Happy New Year! 🥳
Thank you for all your videos and information you share. Wishing you and your family a Happy New Year 🎉 best wishes. 🇨🇦
Thank you so much! Happy New Year! ❤️
Hey there, Shereene. Second video I see. In addition to useful information you share I also must add: you are more like a model than a RUclipsr.
You have helped me soooo much ❤❤❤❤
Aw so happy to hear that! ❤️
Regarding rule no 1: I was told by my dermatologist to always wash my skin well in the morning when using retinoids in the evening.
Thank you for your new tips
Thank you
Thank you Dr I for all the wonderful information you’ve shared this year! HNY to you ❤️
❤️❤️❤️
My NY resolution is to try and stick to a morning and night time skin routine and to be consistent with it🎉
Love these! And I love you! Thank you 🙌🙌

Happy New Year Dr. Idriss!
Happy New Year! 🥳
Thank you they were great❤
Just wondering.. when you start your routine early in the evening but you will brush your teeth later.. all the area around the mouth will be washed out anyway, so what good is it ? 😢
Thank you for all your tips!
Thank you for watching!!
Can you do a content about high-frequency wands for face and hair growth ❤
So informative, thanks!!
Hi Dr. Idriss, I just wanted to say thank you so much, your videos really help me!
I was wondering if you know of any sunscreens that wash off with just water?
Thank you for your advice! 😊
Thank you for watching! ❤️
