How the h does he buy things are only sold in USA?they don't ship to Uk, at least dr idriss' s products they don’t
Initially they were gifted! But all these are repurchases I made using a shipping service called shipito. They give you an American address, based in their warehouse and then they ship it to you. Only issues are, it can be expensive and if there are any issues with your item, the brand are unlikely to refund or w/e because you used a 3rd party shipper
Oh, thanks a lot for replying! Now it makes sense😊 I am hoping to get my hands on her face mask that has all the goodies in it: glycolic acid, tranaxemic acid and lactic acid I believe. Hope she will ship to UK soon as she recently started to ship to Canada so there is hope for is too!😊
@@emilia-qq3du😥 jealous in Australian!
Why do you care? -James is a content creator and a good one at that.
-Pretty certain all dermatologist, cosmetic brands from all over the world send him everything…-pay for postage as well. 🙄
@@emilia-qq3dushe’s juuuust gotten into Canada -like this week. I’m sure she’ll get there in the next year.
What I love about Remedy is that it encompasses everything Dr. Shaw has talked about in his videos: Fragrance free, heavy hitting actives, reasonable price point, etc. I do think these influencer dermatologists do really listen to their audience and make products that can solve their problems
It's pretty disappointing that he is using retinol instead of retinal
@@RacoonFighterwhy?
@@RacoonFighternot really considering how many other actives are in the products.
It's Dr Shah, he's Indian
@@dime.overmatterDr. Shah is Pakistani and Dr. Maxfield is half Indonesian
Dr Idriss products are the very best! Dr Idriss herself is hilarious and so knowledgeable. Love her!
And she funded her cosmetic line herself!
My skin is SOOOO much better since following Dr. Idriss's advice
Me too! Starting retinol has been life changing. All thanks to her! 😊
I ❤her skincare line too!
I looooove Dr Idriss!!! She's fun to learn from!!!
Me too, she seems so down to earth and with a cute sense of humour 💚
Facts!! Love her
I love her personality. She is perfect for social media. But is her skincare brand good?
I love that she will talk, in detail, about drugstore brands and how to use them, and for what. She's not out there pushing stuff that's $$$$, and her line is even really affordable.
Me too!!! ❤
Dr. Idriss is one ld the only online derms I feel like I can trust. She is also stunning.
I believe her, because the skin is like.....come on!!!
@@gaffawebber For real, like Im sure some of it is a filter she is probably using but you can see that she still has beautiful and well taken care of skin.
Plus, she is funny!
I loooooove Dr Idriss❤❤❤❤ It was love at first sight when I saw her vogue video. She inspired me to use glycolic acid and my skin has never been better❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
I started the remedy DARK SPOT product and took before and afters. I'm pretty shocked by how good the results have been so far. I'm a teacher, so I couldn't really afford the expensive products that all my friends recommended to me. Glad that these derms have made good products more affordable
So question for you, since you use it. Are you currently using Tretinoin with it? I know they say use it on days you don't use tre but I wonder how irritating it would be🤷♀️
@Linda91952 I use tret (rotating with adapalene) with the dark spot remedy and have not had any problems with irritation. I cleanse my face, then I go in with Prequel's hypochlorous acid, then I go in with tretinoin or adapalane (I do one day tret and one day adapalene), and then I go in with the dark spot remedy. However, I have been using tret for 9 years. So, I have quite a bit of tolerance. I even apply it to the neck and layer it under remedy, and I have not had any problems with irritation.
@@dannasofiaalfaromarkley8104may i ask why you use both tret and adapalene?
@@dannasofiaalfaromarkley8104I was wondering if I could use it because I use tretinoin nightly. Good to know you can use it at the same time. I think I’m in the same camp as you.
Thanks for the recommendation.
Doctor Idriss is amazing! Her advice has really helped my skin. I haven’t tried her products yet, but having seen the difference in my face lately after creating a routine based on her recommendations, I want to try. I like her deep understanding of the science behind the skin and her no BS approach, I feel like I can safely trust her products.
OMG yes!!! Obsessed with Prequel! The gleanser is some kind of magic, it feels amazing all over (even super oily face). Face and body lotion, hand lotion, foot lotion, all perfect. Thank you again, James!
Ever since I started watching idriss I’ve taken her tips and my skin definitely looks better.
Dr Idriss is an absolutely amazing teacher and I have seen great results with her Major Fade serum and active seal moisturizer since December as it comes with a refill. I was also impressed with how long it lasted since I just had to rebuy the moisturizer but luckily I realized Sephora carriers her now!
Are you using it sparingly? Mine lasts me 6 weeks max
@@ak-vs3vpno I’m using it daily but now they think about it I have been keeping it to my lower cheeks and forehead where I have hyperpigmentation. Yea so I guess maybe it won’t go as far for the whole face.
Great video. For me I think some of the dermatologists like Dr Idriss and Dr Shaw; because of being RUclipsrs/Influencers, they watch people like you, Lab Muffin, etc, read the comments, and are more aware of what we are looking for, and have tried products from around the world. VS my regular derm down the street knows nothing about K/J beauty products, and sun screen filters other countries use. All that thirst for knowledge, mixed with experience, gives them a leg up in creating things we'd like. I'll have to try that lip balm, still looking for a good one. So far I'm loving Dr Idriss products
No timestamps? So hard to skip to specific product reviews without stamps!
Who asked bro ugh y'all are annoying
For those living in UK and elsewhere where products aren’t local:
You can use businesses that will forward you packages depending on where you are, sometimes called parcel forwarding. Just look up forwarding services from where you want to buy from where you want it sent to.
Yeesss! The one I use is called Shipito! Only had one issue with them in the last 3/4 years of using them. What one do you use?

Remedy for Lips is beyond blissful. The Gleanser is my daily. The Sun Barrier didn’t sit well for me, but my preteen fell in love with it. And I’m now obsessed with the Hand Wrap. And Dr Idress is my Saturday morning ritual. Loved every second of this video. Thank you for making it.
Love your calming voice James!
I’m so excited to hear your Doc Idriss review 😮💕
Well, now I can take a break from my James Instagram binge with a James RUclips vid! What a nice day!
I found this video so helpful. I love how you speak very clearly and precisely while also keeping me engaged. I also have sensitive skin, rosacea and reactive eyes. Thank you!
I follow all three of these derms and really love their content. I am also obsessed with Prequel! I have purchased and repurchased so many of her products. I always have spares so I will never run out.
J’ADORE Dr Shereen Idriss! She so authentic and great sense of humor. Love her products as well💖
Loved this review James! I’m also a reactive, rosacea skin type and Prequel skincare quickly became a holy grail line for me too! I have almost every product and just reordered a few things! I do love all three derms mentioned. They are great channels to follow. Dr. Idriss Hyper Fade serum is amazing. It works very well yet doesn’t cause rosacea flares or burning for me. I’m so happy! A lot of active serums are too much for me even if I buffer them. But I’ve been using that one consistently for a year and counting. I haven’t had a chance to try Remedy yet but I definitely want to get my hands on the lip balm! 😂
Love this video. Can't wait to try some of these. I have been wondering about Prequel & Remedy.
I am SO glad you introduced me to Prequel. It has quite genuinely changed my skin in the best way. The Gleanser is truly incomparable - never have I ever used a face wash and felt like my skin was MORE moisturized afterwards. I was so shocked and impressed that I went back and ordered a few other things - the spray (outstanding), the hand cream (literally perfection), and the vitamin c serum (in the backlog to replace a current one). I've been eyeing that redness relief serum, so I guess I'll just add that to the cart for next time. I can't wait for them to release a lip balm... seriously it is such a good, reasonably priced brand. Just 10/10 I hope everyone tries it! Thank you James ♥
I love everything Dr. Idriss! I will purchase the flash mask over and over. I put it on at night and my skin is glowing the next morning.
James!! You hit the nail on the head with the Remedy lip balm. I couldn’t figure out how describe it! When I first put it on, I thought, “oh, this is watery and it’s not going to last 5 minutes.” But no! Put it on at night and wake up with the product still there hydrating it’s little balm butt off. 😁. I love it! Oh and the Experiment lip balm is one of my new faves, too. 💜
Correct on the SPF creation & manufacturing. I am intrigued by all of these brands.
Lovely formulations. Checking them out is a MUST.
You put me on to prequel a few months ago. I have rosacea and will never be without their cleanser and face and body moisturizer. The products are huge and amazing. Even when I've gone a little hard with my tret and my skin barrier is fucked, the prequel doesn't sting my face at all
My sentiments exactly about vitamin C!!! Least favorite active to try to incorporate. Thanks for this video, I have been wondering what to think of these brands.
So glad you did this video! The market is so overly saturated. 💙
Definitely agree! I LOVE all of these derms! Thank you for reviewing their products for us!
I just love how very different the concept of cleansing is now compared to my “yoof” in the 80’s and 90’s. I could never strip my skin and learned from the lovely Japanese and Korean ladies I worked with about oil cleansing and sunscreen. Tretinoin came a bit later. Now I’m in my 50’s, I can see a huge difference compared to other Aussies my age.
Yes! Finally Dr. Idriss on your channel. She’s the absolute best and her products have made huge improvement on my much uneven skin. Thanks for giving us your honest opinion James.
Best Video Ever! I’ve been looking here and there for videos at different moments about each and every one of these, and to find them all in one place from a fantastic reviewer! Yay!🥰
Prequels hand lotion is the best thing I’ve ever used. I have the driest sore hands and not only does it make them feel just normal, there’s no sticky feeling after. Also it has some barrier it leaves on the hands so when I wash my hands , I don’t have to reapply. So thankful for this product!
Being in the UK, I’m surprised you haven’t reviewed dr vanita rattan’s skin care line - she even debuted with a sunscreen. Please let us know your thoughts on this.
Remedy is amazing !!!! I am so upset I didn’t take before pictures but my god! Drastic change in clarity and fading of acne scars that are months old
Are you using the remedy for spots? Can you tell me which one do you use?
I love the Remedy lip balm!! The Dr Idriss mask is great. Going to try the Prequel cleanser, looks and sounds great.
Have you reviewed Dr. Murad? I feel his line is a tried and true brand that is constantly developing new products to address even more skin challenges. Great video. Thanks!
The way you describe the Remedy lip balm is EXACTLY the way I would describe the “Avene cicalfate + restorative lip balm.” The Ulta near me keeps it in stock so maybe that’s another option for those who are unable to get their hands on the remedy lip balm. Also, the “la roche posay cicaplast barrier repairing lip balm” is amazing. It gives you the same after effect with out the initial “wet” feel.
I don't know how niche it is to be obsessed with your favourite lip balm, but I know I would love to see a video all about lip balms/oils. My one favourite is the peachy pink lip perfector that begins with a J and ends with an R- when Covid first hit I couldn't get more of them (shipping issues!) and it was awful. Inspired by you, and enjoying other products from there, I bought the Laneige- Gummy Bear one and like it a lot, but I have one and don't need to stockpile more, so that tells its own tale. Any kind of plumper irritates my lips so much I can never use them, ordinary lip balms sometimes irritate too; the comfort level is what I seek, and I can't be so dependent on Jouer, what if they discontinue? I wish we could get the products you talked about here in the UK, and thank you for the ship tip. Do a video about Lip Balms, please 👄🙏
The Flash Mask by Dr. Idriss is AMAZING!!
Oh I want to try that one.
@SaraAshley116 I highly recommend it!! I use it twice a week, and my skin feels amazing after!!
FACTS! Been using the series (except depuffer) since it came out and it's awesome. Hands down the flash mask is the best, though.
The flash mask is amazing 🤩
What does the flash mask do?
Great video. I’ve heard really great things about Prequel and can’t wait to try Remedy! Love me some Doctorly! 😊
Arnica is great! Its general purpose is to improve blood circulation. Whether that means helping accelerate healing a bruise by bringing in repairing nutrients and clearing away dead cells, improving blood flow to legs (an issue a lot of women face), or in this case probably helping with blood flow to the face, removing puffiness by allowing any packed fluid to move out as it should.
I loved being told I'll never get through a product right after James says he is on his second tube, lol. Hope to be able to try some of these soon.
Love it! Learn a lot from your channel❤
Nice review. I’d love to see you review Dr Youn’s and Dr Linkov’s skincare line as well
Great topic thank you. Side note, excellent nail polish selection.
I love Dr Idriss. My skin was already in a good place but it's even better since I started following her tips, like using Triple Paste overnight.
Fab video James - I had wondered how on earth to get hold of the Dr Idriss' stuff so your tip was great on the international shipping aspect although I will have to save to get her products. Prequel sounds great too! Thanks again 😊
I live outside of the US and the only way I can do it is a) get myself when I travel there or b) have someone bring back for me. There are websites that allow you to have US-only products forwarded to you if your country allows (mine does not.) Dr Idriss just started shipping to Canada, not sure that helps. They haven't started int' shipping yet but have plans to apparently (which won't help me.)
@@spideywoman5196 Thank you 😀 I am in the UK and will need to save for these. They are due to drop in the UK, I believe, by the end of the year - I will need that much time to save for the products and shopping fees !!
@@anniewhitmore7627 I think they're worth it especially if you have discoloration. I didn't have much but have seen great improvement in small sun spots. I use the whole Major Fade set and have been very pleased and hope you are, too. The Flash Mask has become a holy grail and the Hyper Serum is fantastic. You can probably do without the Active Seal if you already have a moisturizer and vit c product you like but I didn't, so I use that, too.
@@spideywoman5196 Her range sounds fabulous and especially being fragrance free which suits me. Thank you for describing the products you use that is really helpful 👍😊
I love dr shereene idriss i use the depuffer and major fade serum
I loved this video ❤ but can you please do one with products/brands that are available in the UK xx
Yes, I love that the Remedy product has Kojic Acid and Transexamic Acid to fade dark spots and hyperpigmentation as well as licorice root to soothe. Add in the retinol and it’s a perfect product. I’m currently using two different products to cover those concerns and this enabled me to go down to one product. Plus, it’s less expensive than either of my other individual products, so I’m saving money to boot! I can’t wait to try his KP lotion.
Dr. Sam's is a UK-based derm brand that I've been enjoying! I like how she combines numerous common actives into just a morning and an evening product because it makes everything super easy. I'm always a sucker for fewer products that do many jobs
Isn't Dr. Sam American?
Not Dr Sam Ellis but Dr Sam Bunting
Dr. Sam is also not a dermatologist, but she is a doctor.
Edit: Bunting
@@pearse9533 True, she’s just a doctor with a skincare line, that hires dermatologists at her practice but isn’t one herself
Prequel is actually amazing. Their products are such a pleasure to use for somebody who has quite severe dermatitis
I have so many products from the other brands to try too. Love them all
Your on point with the remedy lip treatment!! 😂 so hard to explain but love it.
was waiting for this video for so longgg❤❤ wanna try all off them🤭
Hi James! Have you tried MDAiRE by Stefani Kappel MD? It's medical grade and i love that she explains the science behind all of her products. She doest do sponsored videos. I'd love to see your opinions on her products.
Medical grade isn't a real thing.
this was so informative, thank you!!!
Prequel definitely changed the game for me. The gleanser is magic. The vitamin c doesn't burn my skin like others. The sunscreen is the only sunscreen that doesn't irritate my skin, though it does pill, so I have to be very careful. I can slug with the ointment because it doesn't suffocate my skin like vaseline. I use the utility gel under my eyes every morning and night and sometimes on my forehead to hydrate and lessen the appearance of wrinkles. The cream immediately soothes my skin and I usually use my retinal with it. I haven't tried the new serum, but I will get it next paycheck.
I've also been listening to Dr Idriss and using Triple Paste at night. Another game changer, but I can't use anything under it, so I only do it every other day.
James’s videos are a good reminder for me to do facial skin care ❤
I once stayed at an Airbnb in San Diego , and someone left a moisturizer from an English dermatologist. I think it was Dr. Sam Bunting, it was amazing I loved it.
Excellent and very helpful video! Thank you James! battle of the derm brands next 😂. Hope the celeb skincare trend is over … as if we need more junk on the market from people that have no idea what they’re developing.
Thanks for the video! I really needed it! Question..Which cleanser would you say is more hydrating? Dr. Idriss or Gleanser?
I been following Dr Idriss on RUclips I love her - you explained it perfectly So I got nervous because I just ordered the depuffer and the 3 fade away for my melasma So I was happy to hear you like her products I never heard of prequel going to look into it because it seems to be really good for sensitive skin and affordable as well I love watching you Always honest and I learn a lot . This is actually my first time commenting 😊
Thank you for this! I have slight rosacea prone skin and it’s hard to know what is going to be beneficial and what’s going to be harmful for my sometimes flushed and always sensitive skin. I’m definitely going to be looking into the Prequel brand specifically.
The new Prequel Utility gel and Utility balm are great. I am using the gel on my face and balm on my neck.
Hi James, I have not been watching your videos for long. I think I’ve found you in the last year. Thank you algorithm! But, I just love your videos. As a fellow rosacea sufferer I alway feel safe taking your recommendations. I purchased Decalt on your recommendation and have never looked back. Love!!
I so appreciated this video!
Agree with everything you said about Prequel…but have you tried their Urea lotion? This is my holy grail for a body lotion. Divine!!! It’s the perfect combo of moisturizing yet light, but not too light. Never sticky or heavy. Soaks in fast. It’s perfect. (And they just have the best price points.)
I lost my Remedy lip balm and flipped out too. Now that I have used it, I can’t go without it. It is my go to Night lip balm after I apply my collagen eye cream to my lips. It’s been the best lip combo. I wake up with the softest lips, and no icky stuff like some other lip products.
Thanks! Great information. I've been on the fence about taking the Prequel leap. Here I gooooooo! 😁
I was so impressed by it, it's done wonders for my aging, sore skin. and I work at a low budget non profit and can afford it!

Omg prequel!!! And that gel!! Ok so you did a video on it, and I went out and got a couple products, they sent me a free sample of that cleanser, and I love it! I use it daily and I still have some of the sample left, I love love love.
I’m going to buy it and more of their moisturizer too.
I lost my last favorite balm/gloss and then it was discontinued. After a long search, I just fell in love with the topicals balm. As part of my skincare regimen, it’s not about to leave home for me to lose it. Milk’s new kush lip oil is my little side piece
I am slowly getting back to using actives and I purchased Dr. Idriss products during the Sephora sale. I can’t wait to start using them as I have melasma. I’m starting with her drugstore recommendations and then moving on to her products. Thank you for this video and reassuring me that her products are bomb. Now I’m curious about remedy and prequel as well. I will do some homework on those.
I also got Dr Idriss products during the Sephora sale. I’m enjoying them. I am incredibly sensitive to all forms of vit c, but her moisturizer is wonderful and I’m tolerating it. I just reordered a new one yesterday. I also have melasma.
Thank you so much for your feedback now I’m looking forward to trying them.

So far I really like the Remedy dark spot serum. Great formula, affordable ($40 vs Dr Idriss $70), fragrance free, doesn't pill and comes in an airless pump bottle!! Just stupendous. the Prequel Vitamin C serum sounds amazing too :)
One of the things that keeps my red cheeks happy is a humidifier in my room. It has helped my sinuses as well.
I had to pop over to Dr Shaw's site and put in a "notify me when we restock" request on the lip balm after hearing your story.
Can you do a video about those products created by Korean derms? Love your videos!

Aaah the handbag struggle. I swear mine eats my fave lipgloss/balm 😭😭🤣
Apparently now, mine only eats tinted balm w SPF and my good gel stains that I can apply one handed, no mirror. Greedy dang bag. The bag cost $4 at goodwill and eats $15 a month in lippie, I swear lol
Loved this video!!!
Feeling so meta watching this while putting on my prequel skin protectant cream (and I also have rosacea!)
I've been wanting to try Dr. Idriss's products for so long---they're now in Sephora, at least in the US?
So I got the serum and moisturizer. I've only had them about two weeks, so I'm also not sure how well they work, but the packaging and formula are certainly very nice!
I have had the major fade pen looking thing at launch and the prequel wash, vitamin c and ointment. I love all of these derms so it’s hard to choose what to get from all of them!
I would love to see a review of Dr Vanita Rattan Skin care. She is a Derm and formulator as well as influencer. UK based.
I love prequel! I use the moisturizer and universal spray! There’s definitely more I want to try
I cannot wait for Prequel to launch in the UK! All the products look like I’ll love them. That giant tube for face and body looks amazing 👌🏻
Dermfluencers should be the new term for the Dermatologists 😬 Dr. Idriss is a doll ❤️
The prequel soothing serum is green bc it has green pigment in it (chromium oxide greens). I think it’s a smart idea, even if it doesn’t provide a ton of correction.
Glad to hear this!
Have you tried the Bubble Tinted Mineral sunscreen?!!!??? Literally my new favorite sunscreen OF. ALL. Dr. Stefani Kappel is one of my favorites.
The only cleanser i use on my eyes is the Selfless by hyram cleanser. It doesnt hurt or anything, and it gets all my makeup off the first time🙌
I am also obsessed with Prequel. The products really do help to calm my rosacea.
I typically use Korean sunscreens but tried Prequel and it is so lightweight and doesn’t sting my eyes.
Just purchased Prequel’s Vitamin C & I just know I will love it just like all their products. Obsessed !
You introduced me to the Prequel Gleanser and I absolutely love it! Since then, I've gotten the Vitamin C serum, the sunscreen, and just ordered the redness relief serum and the skin utility gel. I love everything so far. Oh, and I have the barrier support cream!
