- Visiting Quebec has been on our list for ages and getting to do it by train was the icing on top! After so many months on the road it was great to let someone else do the driving. 😂

Hey team! Leah and I are on the road this morning so we won’t be able to respond to comments right away but we will be here in a couple hours to say hi! 🙋🏻♂️🥰
Hy hy from Switzerland, have a good time
"Train travel is pretty amazing." - Lol, Via Rail is far from amazing. Was Levi's sentiment a reflection of how bad Prius traveling is? 😆 Or perhaps it's more a reflection of how pampered I am... 😂 Probably the latter. 🤣
When Leah was gushing about her friends' house, the line from Christmas Vacation randomly popped into my head: "I love it here. Your house is always parked in the same place and you don't gotta put on your coat to go to the bathroom." 😂
Hahaha yeah that phrase is hyper relateable for us right now 😅😜
We need more moments with Nana❤ Such a sweetheart😊
The charm and humor is in the genes clearly :)
Oh she’s a spicy gal when you get her going haha I’ll have to let her know you said so 😜😅
I adore traveling by train. It’s largely a stress free way to travel, and you get to appreciate the scenery, people, and of course naps and snacks. 😋 Thank you for sharing your experiences in Montreal and Quebec City. The cities look magical.
yes! more trains on Earth!
I lived in Levis and Quebec for 10 years. Quebec really is a beautiful city, nice to see you enjoyed your time visiting. Btw the best view at night is from Lévis looking at Quebec from the other side of the fleuve st-laurent. The chateau Frontenac looks amazing from there.
That does sound good! Being back there with a vehicle would be nice to be able to see the Quebec countryside a bit more for sure.
On a family roots trip to Quebec City MANY years ago, we stayed at the Chateau Frontenac. It was my mom’s strong desire, even if she did have to take her 4 kids with her. We all loved it!
is learning French really a need ??? or can English get you around just fine when visiting.
@@thecjlife7682you can get around with English just fine, but if planning to stay a longer period or going outside big cities and touristy places, French is a must! Also appreciated from locals (I know, since I am one 😅) when people at least try some French!
Yeah! Montreal represent here ✌️ so glad you liked it! Hope to see you back soon! Good luck for the rest of your trip back home :)
PS: Read a few replies from you, and your French isn't so bad. Nice to know that even outside Quebec, people have interest in understanding French :P
Merci! Just suis une student encore! Haha thanks for the supportive comment. 😜❤️
Bienvenue à Québec, welcome. My husband is French Canadian and I am Dutch. So glad you are enjoying your trip to Montréal and Québec City. They are pretty spécial. Thank you so much for all the positive comments. Glad you enjoyed practicing your french. I did NT speak Word when I met my husband. Now I "parlez vous." Lol.
Happy trails, enjoy your pregnancy, can hardly wait who the baby Will look like with you two cuties.❤️ Love your videos. Au revoir.xx
Anyone else over here in western Canada so happy these these two are enjoying other parts of our country but low-key hoping you don't move to the east because if they live out there instead of over here the minuscule chance of running into these beautiful humans and telling them how much they've changed your life gets a lot smaller? No, just me?
Welcome home!
Awww. It was obvious that Levi missed Leah’s company when she was at the conference. So sweet to see how much they both have grown closer. ❤️🇦🇺
I just got back from Europe and watched this while I was away and that timing of you visiting my home city helped me so much with some of the homesickness I was feeling at the time so thank you for that!
I hope Montreal and Quebec didn't disappoint and the food lived up to the hype!
Its pretty warm here in mid Canada (Manitoba) you should come explore our beaches while you're here, it may just be warm enough to go swimmimg in the lakes by the time you get here.
Leah got some highlights!!! Lookin good momma!! I'm glad you both are taking a break. 😊😊
Really happy that you enjoyed our part of canada. We are from quebec city and proud to be here!
I'm kind of amazed that you guys noticed every single pile of snow left yet made 0 comments about all the branches and trees laying around Montreal parks thanks to last month's ice storm hahaha :P
I'm glad you enjoyed Quebec! Bon voyage pour le retour à Victoria :)
Hahaha that’s super true… I’m not sure how that didn’t end up in the video because… yeah that was craaaaazy. 😳👀😬
You guys are so adorable when you start exploring. I just love it. 💕
That's so cool that you have such a sweet grandma that you can hang out with. I lost all of my grandparents when I was much younger than you and they all lived overseas so I never got to know them well. Enjoy your time with her while you can. ❤
We’re very lucky to have her. Thanks for the lovely comment 🥰👍🏼
I think the younger generation needs to hear and see this more often.
Aww it’s so cool to see you walk around places i recognize 🤓 and that you liked it here!! i want to explore the province this summer and have been stuck with the planning part but this has definitely inspired me! Anyway looking forward to next week to see what you explore next :)
You’re going to LOVE it I’m sure. Next time we wanna get out of the cities too!
I watched this when you first released it and that's inspired my wife and I to visit for our baby moon in August! Thanks for the excellent content. Rewatching now to add some locations to our list 😊
As a Victorian currently in Montreal for a work trip and stuck all day in the less fun businessy area of town, this is great. I visited MTL for the first time a couple years ago and it's so great here
So glad to see you loved Montréal and Québec - they are such fabulous cities. My cousin used to have a farm near Montréal, in Rivière-Beaudette (the river ran through the property), so the farm/rural property life is totally viable in that area.
We saw a lot from the train! What a MASSIVE province 👀
I subscribed to your channel since I started watching it several episodes back and I noticed that you both are free spirited individuals with less complexity and you both express freely how a human being lives w/out reservations. It takes courage and good thinking to act the way you both do in front of the camera to be viewed by the World of You-Tube. I also feel a good vibe and a very positive one coming from your channel a fresh expression of life and living which is very much needed in today's World. I am sure many viewers could share the same sentiment that you both display. Bravo to both of you and have a happy and adventurous life and future as a family as well. Cheers.
Woof… that was an incredibly kind comment. I can’t see you actual name but thank you so much for taking the time to share this with us. ❤️
I adore Leah’s style ❤
Isn't the scenery going east beautiful!! Hope you guys have an amazing time in Quebec!! ❤❤
ahh so much nostalgia for Montréal and Québec. the regional parks and chutes are gorgeous. glad you had such a lovely relaxing trip.
Thank you! We absolutely loved it 🥰
Oh, what an amazing trip! I flew to Qbc from Washington, and then took the train to MR and Toronto. Sweet memories with my mom!
Hey, so not sure when your planning to pass through Alberta. And I know things weather and fire-related could change by then. But for when coming through Alberta maybe plan to go south through Calgary. Everything around highway 16 west and north of Edmonton is more or less on Fire.
Thanks for the heads up… so sad that this is happening already. 😳😢
I was in Montreal and Quebec City back in like 05, both were cool, but Quebec City really is a hidden gem, I could totally get back there!
I agree about experiencing the city on foot. I often opt for my motorcycle instead of enclosed vehicles. You miss all of the smells and sounds when in a vehicle. You also discover much more when on foot or on a motorcycle. You two seem very relaxed.
We have done a bit of cycle touring in the past too and that was fantastic. 😍 thanks for leaving a comment!
Loved this one! Seeing Levi walking around by himself reminded me of the scene at the end of The Sound of Metal
Great watch as always 👊🏿, and a cozy watch at that as usual. Regards from BC ✌🏿💜
Thanks friend ❤️❤️❤️
Oh, Quebec looks pretty! I never knew it looked so charming. An idea, if you enjoy city life but want a garden perhaps a rowhouse/terraced house would be something for you in the future?
Yay another great video. Its become my routine to wake up sunday morning to watch your videos (yes its sunday morning as New Zealand is in the future) 😊
New Zealand is just in the future generally. 👍🏼 haha thanks for being here!
So great to see you two taking the train - great suggestion from your Grandma! Also, loved seeing my kid hanging out with you at "Les Chutes de Montmorency". Glad to see that you and Mandolyn didn't hitch hike this time like you did in Switzerland, Levi :) Also, those apricot buns that your friends in Montréal prepared for you made my mouth water. Bonne continuation de route!
Thanks Donna! You have a pretty special kid out there. Always a pleasure getting to spend time with my old friend. 🥰❤️
Glad you enjoyed Quebec City despite the rain! If you get a chance to go back during the summer it’s even prettier!
That’s our plan for next time! And then hopefully into fall too!
Good call on the train ride. We did that when our van was getting repaired on our cross country trip and then drove later on once it was fixed. Train was way better!!!!
It’s a completely different way to travel and we’re so glad we got to try it out!
So glad your are back in our beautiful country exploring.I been across Canada twice and it is just amazing. If it is not in the fire area stop in Bamff Alberta and lake Louise
The trip has been really pleasant since getting across the border. I think we’ve slowed down a bit and it’s just easier too 🥰
Your baby bump is just the mort beautiful thing, imaginable. Great idea to train it there and back. Following this adventure just keeps getting better and better. ❤️💙
Thanks so much for saying this! 🥰
@@LeahandLevi I had a “Beaver Tail” in Ottawa once and it was so good. 😋😋😋 Also had the World famous smoked meat sandwich at Schwartz’s Deli in Montreal, same trip. 😋😋😋
Love Montreal! The underground shopping area was a blast.
Would've liked more food content from two famous food cities, but I'm certainly glad you enjoyed how beautiful they are.
The choosing urban life vs country life is exactly why I like where I live in Hamilton Ontario. It has the best waterfalls, parks and an escarpment trails that goes on forever. But it has a cool vibe and urban part too. And for when I really need to get away out of the city we drive an hour south to Lake Erie and stay at my families trailer for the weekend.
That sounds lovely! Gotta find that balance 🙏🏼
So happy you enjoyed your time in Quebec! 🥰
The fact that you are so shocked by the remaining snow is hilarious, you’re really from the west coast haha!
Safe travels on your way home!
Oh yeah… we’re so soft and Quebec made that very obvious. 😅
I’m so glad you enjoyed my hometown! Montreal is pretty amazing, and the people you meet are even cooler:)
I’d say the people were our favourite part haha 🥰
My favorite Canadian city, except that no one speaks to me in french when I visit. I am from the Canadian Praries with a different French Canadian background so I think they get confused about my accent.
@@BeHappyByBike Just say you can speak French and they should speak French to you as well. I think that since many people can speak English, they will switch to English if they think that's your native language to make it easier for you...
@vvlon I know I should, but it's usually not worth the time for the short conversations I am having with strangers. It's a common thing to happen to me in France too haha.
@@BeHappyByBikec'est un mauvais réflexe qu'ont les gens d'ici de toujours passer à l'anglais trop rapidement!
Well today you taught me they speak French in Switzerland! Leah that green pantsuit looked lovely on you!
So cool seeing you guys in my hometown!! Montréal is an awesome place to live :)
Loved it!
I love the vids/ you guys :D💕
Literally click as soon as there’s a new vid😝✨
It means a lot to have you here! 🥰🙋🏻♂️
Hello guys. Just catching up after a bit of a holiday. As a former resident of Ontario waiting for your observations heading west. Travel safe.
Fantastic!!! 👏👏👏
Always an adventure with you two! And lots of LOL 😂😂 love watching and following along through the journey! Leah’s little baby bump is adorable and she is glowing with the bump! 😍 Baby has gotten bigger from the last video, it’s crazy.
Levi gets a lil poof of that v8 after driving the 4 cyl electric Prius forever, “ got the horses in the back” 😂😂😂 also can tell he was hanging around elders, “nifty, nifty” 😂😂
“Leah looks like a goofball” “these are the only pants that fit” 🤣🤣🤣
Always waiting for the next video upload! Need more uploads more often 😅 A sit down Q & A or something!? More about you two, mix it up from travels, still really enjoy the adventure content. Just haven’t had one of those in awhile. Get to know y’all more!
ᴡʜᴏ ᴇʟꜱᴇ ᴠᴏᴛᴇꜱ ᴍᴏʀᴇ ᴄᴏɴᴛᴇɴᴛ!?!?
Updated Q & A and life update, baby update, what are you two preferences a boy or girl, what’s gonna be different when baby arrives, changes when baby comes with content/travels, plans on traveling w baby, are you guys gonna be settling down somewhere with baby or getting a more practical rig & continue the adventures, relationship pros/cons advice love doctor lol, your story/stories meeting, whats in store, plans in the future, ect ya know lol.
Anyways, enjoy your time together before baby gets here and get some travels in, not saying you can’t travel with baby or won’t enjoy your time together when baby arrives lol most of the focus will be on baby, and traveling is still possible just more planning and cautious. Can’t forget about yourselves, get all the sleep you can 😆😆
*typing this from my uncles basement on 5 hours of sleep*
Yeah we would love to make more content but one a week is already a pretty big job but… a Q&A is definitely overdue. We’ll have to see how that goes and maybe we can make more of them!
Fun. It looks stunning there.
You where so close to my place in MTL!! (Near the sign "farine five roses" that the conducter wanted u to capture 😅). I think for the time you had in those cities you have capture very well the essentials. Happy you still managed to come by the East and enjoy the rest of your trip. 🤩
We absolutely loved visiting your city. 🥰 thanks for having us 🙋🏻♂️
Montreal is an amazing city to live in! Within an hour drive you can get to the mountains and the “middle of no where” if you want that but also gets all the perks of a big city. :D
Ah yes! Bouldering, the Montrealer’s sport 😂 Love seeing you guys in my cityy
I took the train across Canada in 2016 and it was one if the best things I’ve ever done!
is getting around easy?? they mentioned French and I'm like crap im going to be so lost not being able to figure out what their saying over there.😅
Wishing you both the best ❤ I love aspects of city life but also would love to live in the middle of nowhere… where will I end up 🤷♀️
I've wanted to visit Canada for soooo long. Vancouver, Kelowna, London, Ontario to start. That's where friends are. Victoria Island is beautiful from pictures I've seen. Even though I live in San Diego, sometimes I don't take advantage of the beautiful scenery till friends come to visit. You guys can stay at my house if you're ever in town!!!
Hi! Montrealer here. Great video! You did all the things and saw all the sights. Leah, new shoes in the last clip? Souvenir from Quebec City? Happy travels!
Yeah she got them from a thrift store on Mount Royal ave! 🥰
nice looking city!
I'm always amazed how confident you are to set up the camera across the road, or behind you, and trust that someone isn't going to take it 😅 I want to hear your French, Levi!! 😝 Did you do extended french or immersion? I wish I did either
Yeah I did French immersion for all of my elementary schooling! It was great honestly, no regrets
im sure Canada is way safer than here in the USA. just today we had a shooting in Florida, along with another in Texas at a mall i believe.
Levis us pronounced more like LIH-vee :) when you come back you should also check out Gaspésie! if you were impressed by the nature in Montreal and Quebec, Gaspésie will blow your minds 💕
Haha yea! We learned there a bunch of different pronunciations for my name! 😅
Montreal is such a wonderful city! I spent my uni years there, ate lots of good food, and met so many amazing people! But I will say, it was a great decision to train in bc driving and parking in MTL is absolutely horrible 😅
Haha yeah we loved Montreal of course but if we lived there… it wouldn’t be with a car 😅
1:35 - I just have to ask… does your iconic hoodie have a hood?🤣 It’s cool to have something from your Grandpa!! I was also wondering if you had the grande opportunity to have a Montreal Bagel whilst in Montreal?🥯 That Quebec City crepe looked stellar!! Thanks for today’s video… Quebec looks amazing!! Ⓜ️ary
Yes we did! I just realized a forgot to add that footage Mary! 😳😭 we went to a very famous one downtown!
Wow! The architecture, and the waterfall. Incredible! Leah, you're looking so well. 🙂 Did you get some highlights in your hair? You're truly radiant. Levi, I'd love to hear you talking some French. PS Your friends seem great. Happy travels. 😀
Thanks so much! And great observation! Yeah Leah got her hair done in Toronto before the conference 🥰💇♀️
@@LeahandLevi Lovely. ☺
Heyyyyyy, you went right past my old apartment ❤
Too bad there’s no way to really go around all of North America only by rail. Many years ago I went up to the Adirondacks on Amtrak. Wonderful way to see the Hudson Valley, the Capital region and around Lake George.
Yeah that’s a big agree from us. There’s so much potential but it’s hugely limited here sadly.
I loved Montreal , spent three summers there . In three different areas. Old Montreal is so charming , but I liked that there are no Malls,
The downtown mall doesn’t feel like a mall as you can walk indoors from stores to stores . When in Montreal I always go to a certain thrift store that I found items in & it supports women.
Agreed! Gotta love that small shop experience eh? Thanks for leaving a comment 🥰🙏🏼
Lucky guy🎉 Leah is top self
Fun to see you around comme see us in ile orleans
Leah at 10:57 -- pretty much sums it up.
That was a great showcase of Montreal and QC! Addressed a lot of issues with living-travelling out of a vehicle too. Especially in the cold and damp weather - ya just wanna be inside, lol.
I gotta learn to be a lot less concerned about it, and just get out there more if my plans are gonna work...
Rents are still much less in Montreal, or has that changed in the last few years?
To answer Leah's question earlier -- Move to a suburb of Medellin, Columbia and learn Spanish?
Cheers!...your guy in North Vancouver
Thanks Adrian! Apparently rent price insanity is slowly creeping into Montreal and QC but hopefully it doesn’t become insane…
Sooooo many burst out laughing moments!!!! thank you guys! Btw Leah how was your conference?
Thanks so much! Leah’s conference was a huge success and thank you for asking 🥰
Quebec seems cool! It's interesting that you had to share a room with Leah's co-worker.
I think for most companies in the states, they have people get their own rooms because of sexual harassment or other kinds of policies.
Levi. Why did you make us look at the toe. C'mon, man. 🤣
I thought maybe some people would be into it? 🤷🏻♂️😜
How long was the train trip. It’s a great way to travel to explore a city. No parking worries. VIA rail looks great. Montreal is a parking nightmare. There’s always roadworks and police
It was 4 hours to Montreal and 2 hours to Quebec City from there! Not bad!
I love taking the Via Rail! Their wifi sucks, but other than that, it's a pretty enjoyable ride. Also, I find passengers on a train tend to be more sociable than passengers on a plane.
Maybe it’s because there’s more legroom haha
@@LeahandLevi 😂 Good point!
Levi je ne savais pas que tu parlais si bien français! Je suis impréssionné!
Ah ben là, Levi! Tu devrais nous faire une vidéo Q&A EN FRANÇAIS!
Je seconde!
1:33 hoodie without a hood! very cool :)
Haha ok you got me there 😅
Biggup viarail!
thats my home!!
I love crepes so much!
Haaa je suis trop contente que vous ayez apprécié Montréal et Québec! Je vie à Montréal et c'est amusant de voir ma ville à travers votre vision.
Ahhhh merci! Notre temp en ton province et incroyable. 🥰 très excité pour le prochain fois! (Désolé pour mon français haha)
Welcome to Montreal. I live in Montréal It's nice city. You made a good decision by not bringing your car because parking it Is terrible in Montréal.
Haha so we’ve heard 😅
Look for Dubes my kin fold I don’t know. Haha.
I can’t wait to get there!
Move to Montreal then meet the couple behind the RUclips Channel *Oh the Urbanity* 😜👍💯
Maybe I missed it but what did Leah speak about at her conference?
She was presenting on her post doc work around HIV and sexual health!
if you had to pick between the two cities, which one would you like to live in?
Ohhhh gosh… probably Montreal because Leah might have an easier time? But Quebec City is more authentic you know?
I’d like to see more about the pregnancy , like what to expect when your expecting
Thanks for letting us know. We will be talking about it as we go of course 🥰👍🏼
Hey Levi, im missing your old videos. Repair the bicycle video, old shoes videos or price - performance videos.
The “s” in Lévis in silent BTW. 😉
Bonjour! Vous serez toujours les bienvenus si vous revenez au Québec! J’aurais aimé vous voir explorer encore plus la province pendant ces 10 jours. Ça sera pour une prochaine fois! Bon voyage de retour!
(I’m sure Levi can practice his French brain long enough to read this!) 😂
i don't speak French but i understood Quebec, explore, and something about maybe a tour 🤣
Avec just mon cerveau… just que je comprends! 😅 Merci pour ton message, plus de 10 jour le prochain fois pour sûre! (Not entirely confident that sentence made sense but here we go! Typed without translator)
@@LeahandLevi Bravo d'avoir fait l'effort, très apprécié! Your sentence makes sense, you just need to practice more 🤓
I'm sad you didn't go for a trip around Europe... there are trains everywhere, you wouldn't even need a car 🙂 Hopefully next time
We would love to get to Europe!
@@LeahandLevi Hopefully soon! See you in Prague:)
Welcome to my hometown of Montreal ! Your french is not that bad Levi !
Haha thank you for having us 🥰🙋🏻♂️
More Zoom calls!!!
Hearing you pronounce Levis (Le-vee) as "Levi's" made me giggle 😂
Haha I have learned over the years that the way we pronounce Levi’s is not how everyone pronounced it 😅
If this is the dichotomy you are looking for (country life within walking distance of a downtown)...I got you. The offer for a visit is still on the table (stalker vibes not intended).
Montreal is my favourite city I’ve been to in Canada!
Agreed!
If that train platform was in Europe it would be packed. So sad Canada. We can do better…
Montreal is awesome. The falls are beautiful.
Long video. Watched about half. Thx for sights !
Is it not pronounced Ke-bec not kwe-bec?
Bravo Levi, pratique ton français 👏 J'espère que vous avez aimé le Québec !
Hey guys I am professional detailer at Audi in Kitchener ( close to Toronto ). I would love to detail your ride free of charge just coz you guys are amazing. No advertisement or credit or anything, just pure support. Let me know if you'd like to bring it back to life
Cheers!
Dude this offer would have been so perfect but sadly we’re already out of TO 😭
