I got pregnant with my son while my husband and I were on a six week tour of Japan, that was back in 1997 on tour with Sheryl Crow. (We both worked for her back then) Luckily, I had an amazing pregnancy, and labor too… enjoy every minute of it because time really does fly!! Love you both very much ❤

Mazel tov! Future video idea, I would love to learn more of your experiences of the differences between getting medical care in the US vs Canada. I would trust you to tell that story in an even handed way but feel that it is something that both US residents and Canadians would benefit from seeing. We tend to only know our own experiences and you could bring that very unique experience to us. Wishing all three of you a lifetime of happiness.
First, congratulations! The little bean will be so lucky to have you as parents. So excited about this crazy journey for two. I've been a follower since Levi's Birkenstock video and am amazed at how at how much of ya'll have grown and accomplished. Second, as an uninsured American, thank you so so much for spreading awareness about the joke of a healthcare system in the US. It feels horrible telling the front desk person that you'll be paying out of pocket. And for speaking up against those "women's healthcare centers". I'm so happy and also jealous you can go back to Canada to have your little bean where it won't cost an arm and a leg!

We also did a year of cycle tracking and "if it happens it happens" and currently have an 11 week old 🥰
You've got a great mentality, go with the flow and make it up as you go along, pregnancy experience is so varied person to person so you may find yourself too exhausted and needing a real bed more often, or you might be full of beans and happy side sleeping in the Prius at 30 weeks, don't let yourself be limited by other people's expectations of your pregnancy and what you "should" be doing.
I'm in New Zealand so totally understand the crass feeling talking about money and prenatal care together. We are currently using private health insurance for a surgery for my husband so he can skip the public wait-list, we pay 20% of all costs and it seems so weird that I just had a dozen ultrasounds for free, and we have paid $120 for one for him.
