I love that exhaust. It isn't a v8 and it will never sound like one, Ford is finally leaning into that and giving it its own sound. If they'd give it more turbo noises it would be basically perfect.
I have a gen2 with corsa exhaust. My gen3 just came in last week and sounds 10x times better and more natural. For reference, I had a 2020 GT500 so I am familiar with a good sounding engine. This truck sits in its own niche with the new suspension and trombone exhaust. Everyday driving comfort is on par with luxury vehicles $100K and up. Looks still growing on me compared to the gen2, but much improved with the new suspension and exhaust, coupled with the new F150 infotainment and interior. I was dead set on the Raptor R mainly for the sound, but do not need a GT500 power plant in this truck, at least for my taste and needs.
I don't know about anyone else, but when I say I want a V8 Raptor, I'm not talking about a crazy supercharged V8 with 900hp that will cost an extra $30-40k over the already unaffordable "normal" model. I'd like a V8 with similar power to the V6TT for similar money, personally.
Why want a V8 with the same power numbers tho? The entire reason they went with a V6 is because it gets good power and is a lot more efficient, the only reason to go for a V8 at this point is to push for that 800-900hp point.
@@florisdevin1557 Speaking only as myself, I want the noise of the V8 the most. I also think a lazy V8 will have more long-term reliability over a V6 TT.

I live in Florida and one thing I’ve noticed with ford trucks here is that when you look underneath the ford trucks of all trim levels there is a varying degree of rust. Some have rust that it’s easy to scrape metal off the underneath parts and literally brake calipers. So always look underneath on any vehicle you buy. Love the Raptor and that V6 rumble is perfect.
Love the intro! 🙂 Talking about fuel economy makes me just shake my head. No one buying a truck like a Raptor cares one bit about fuel economy. If they did they wouldn't be buying a Raptor.
The fuel economy matters, not because buyers care too much how much it costs to run (though keeping that lower is a nice bonus) but because you can go further on a tank. That becomes pretty practical when you actually take your Raptor off the beaten track.
I disagree. If people buying these trucks didn't care about fuel economy then the Ecoboost Raptor's wouldn't have been the sales success that they have.

Once you get used to driving the EB engines getting good mpg is not difficult, keep out of the turbo, drive at a steady rate and 20+ appears even in mixed driving. Also not only did Ford put 37" tires on it but they also put 37"'s with 17" wheels, that means extreme air down capability with the Raptor. Honestly your reviews have put the Raptor on my buy list. I have gotten used to the extreme range the EB's provide a truck and couldn't go back to a vehicle with a 400 mile range, once you get used to a 600+ range on a tank it becomes a "must have".

Great video, gents! I’d love to order a low optioned Raptor (in Rapid Red - the only way to have no graphics), but I’m not sure buying a vehicle any time soon is a smart decision. 😜
I think the Raptors going to undercut it by (tens of?...) thousands of dollars. This is a far more usable truck with more than enough power. A nicer interior and seats. Far better fuel mileage. And based on longevity/reliability problems with Chrysler products, the Raptor will prove to be more dependable. Ford had a big head start and they still are the benchmark.
How is it possible for a 100k$ truck to have the wires for the rear-view mirror hanging and visible? And not hidden inside the mirror mount? See it yourself at minute 13:26. Otherwise, it is an amazing truck.

I have a 18' Raptor. And YESS WE HAVE BAJA TRACK DAYS! Here in South Texas, we go running at a place called Rally Ready School. It has miles and miles of Baja styled tracks, designed just for Raptors. From mild to wild we get out there and run em hard!
This is the 3rd review I've seen of the updated Raptor that's mentioned the major improvement in ride quality. I'm beginning to actually believe it... 🤷♂️
I really enjoy watching all of you videos. You guys are a great team. Thank you and keep up the great work. Much appreciate!
It sounds amazing and it is a great truck but I still love the TRX over the raptor
of course, 110k USD , or 140k CAD. Usually more expensive is better. Problem is , the ram will suffer from electronic problems
Just say you are fiat junk fangirl no need to like that turd over Raptor lol
one of the best driving and most fun trucks I've ever owned!
Great video, gents!
I’d love to order a low optioned Raptor (in Rapid Red - the only way to have no graphics), but I’m not sure buying a vehicle any time soon is a smart decision. 😜
I have a Gen 2 (2019) and it is an awesome truck….even as a mall crawler for those of us in the Midwest.
What a truck!! Thomas will be torn everytime he takes his RAM out now! 😁
I'll watch any channel you two are on you guys are informative ,comical, everything a person needs in their day to be positive in life! 💪💯
It's a Raptor, but it's no TRX. For the same price you can get the most powerful gas pickup truck. Also you can get the Supercharger whine.
A turd rx is just a bloated ,ugly , unreliable and less capable raptor with V8
The cr the intro the review the everything, you guys are a powerhouse by yourself👐🏽
How is it possible for a 100k$ truck to have the wires for the rear-view mirror hanging and visible? And not hidden inside the mirror mount? See it yourself at minute 13:26.
Otherwise, it is an amazing truck.
James with the “roll tide”, spot on James! War Eagle!
Go tigers🐯🐯
$80k USD for a V6 💀💀💀
Ok that vegeta reference brought a smile to my face ... Excellent production as usual guys. Keep up the good work 👍
The intro reminded me of when I was a kid and used to wake up in the middle of the night to some 70's music commercials LOL
i'm happy to see it come back to 2012 design, but refreshed
