    I have a 23 XLT HYBRID AND HAVE😂 6400 miles. I waited 386 days and read all the comments and was really wondering if I had made the correct decision but after 2 new Toyota Tacomas and 2 new Camrys. I could not be happier and like you I have had zero issues and well worth the wait.

      Forums are ok if they do not take too much of my time. 1 hr a day is enough for me lol I research correctly and believe half of what I read on forums. I am a proud owner of an XLT hybrid with added hitch and 360. Out the door with tax 28,500. And 38 miles per gallon is fine with me...

    Got my 23 XLT EcoBoost with tow package. AWD. Waited a year after ordering it. 7, 000 miles on it now. Love it. Still factory tires, not a fan of them. Went on a 1400 mile trip, 29.3 miles per gallon. Have gotten a tad over 32. Bucking a strong head wind, it will drop ofcourse. Has get up and go. Love it for what I need. I bought a 150,000 mile warrany with my local dealer. No worries for me. I have alway worked on my own vehicles. I'm 57 and the first time i have had a dealership or antine else change my oil was a couple months ago. They will get all the work, so no question about warranty.

    We have almost the same build. Mine is a 2023 XLT w/ fx4 and 4k Tow
    Closing in on 1 year in May with mine. Currently at 15K on the Odo.
    Had 1 issue so far and it was a bad battery, truck would not turn or remote start.
    Got my dealer to send a technician to my house and replaces the battery and also take care of that brake light recall at no charge.
    I do my own maintenance as well, Oil Change every 5k-7k
    Would recommend doing a Rotation and Alignment w/ every Oil Change as well since it is an AWD.
    My biggest gripes are the Infotainment system bugs out and plays audio through my phone.
    [Messing with the screen button/ on-off button usually gets it playing through vehicle speakers]
    Usually just use my vehicle for personal transport but have used it to travel long distance with Bed filled up to the bring, kind wanted to get that bed extender for the next big road trip, sucks the back up cam will be pointed down though lol.
    Moderate off-roading for camping/hunting, love getting my Maverick dirty.
    Did a bit of winter driving and it felt solid.

    I got my ordered Maverick Jan. 20th 2022. It is a Lariat FX/4, with tow, brake controller, and aux. bed lighting. I have dogs is why I got the Lariat, mainly. Or i would have got the XKT with lux pkg. But I had a price point. I have had 4 recalls. But I don't mind those. Even Toyotas are having them... So notta big deal. I'm getting 27 ave mpg. With the snow we got in North Arkansas, this winter, the awd drive worked great! I haul everything in it too... I let others change my oil, as I have a record of it done. I have the oil and filter changed every 3000 to 3500 miles. That policy has NEVER failed me yet, in my 50 years of driving. I'm 66. Back in the old days, my dad made change the oil on his vehicles. They were way simpler then.

    "taking a knife and stabbing your dashboard" ha ha lol, yes, the reviewers who complained about a fragile dashboard really wasn't giving the Maverick a fair take. Owned my Maverick for nearly a year, and the plastics held up well

    My 22 xlt hybrid has been pretty good so far. I did have a small coolant leak from the exhaust heat exchanger. Infotainment is glitchy. But 20k miles. I put 235 fallen wildpeak trails on and I’m still averaging 41.6 lifetime mpg in Michigan.

  • @Rcr-gl6br
    @Rcr-gl6br 4 месяца назад +3

    I have basically the same thing. But I did opt for the lariat, I really wanted the lane centering. I also have about 15k miles.
    And I couldn’t agree more. Truck is great, holding up great, MPGs are great. Overall very pleased and happy with the purchase. I do want to upgrade the tires to something similar.

    I have a 2023 XL Hybrid. I ordered it October 31 2021 didn’t receive it until March 4 2023 lol. Well worth the wait. I love my Maverick. I have had only 2 recalls on it & both of those was only download updates. One update was for emission and I don’t remember what the other one was for. My dealer did both of them at the same time I was in & out in about an hour. I have had outstanding gas mileage in the summer consistently getting 40 to 42 mph in the winter getting 37 to 40 mph with mixed driving more highway than city driving. The only complaint I have is I’m trying to find me some custom rims and I don’t like the euro style skinny spoke at all and that’s the only style theat I can find that fits the Maverick if anyone has any suggestions that would be greatly appreciated

    ordered a 2024 lariat with off road and 4k tow package. still haven't driven one, but $10k less than a new tacoma and way better mileage were my motivation. appreciate the review. I have read about cabin vibration at low rpm and a loud cabin in general? I live in a really windy area (columbia river gorge) and put a lot of miles on I 84. thoughts on that? also read that the bottom seat cushion is a bit short for taller drivers? I am 5'11. thoughts? thanks for the great review!

      @FocusedGarage  4 месяца назад

      First off, I'm jealous of the scenic area you live in, lol. You should be fine on the noise though. I haven't experienced any noise that I would call annoyingly loud or anything like that. As far as height goes, I am six foot tall and fit perfectly comfortably in the vehicle. The seats do not fatigue me at all. It is really hard to beat the value proposition these things offer.

    If Toyota or Honda comes out with a small low cost truck, they will sell a ton of them if the Maverick is any indication. Also, Those wheels look sweet.

    i live down a dirt road and the only complaint I have it sounds like have badfront end components when going over bumps slow but I'm assuming its the lack of insulation!

    • @FocusedGarage
      @FocusedGarage  4 месяца назад

      Yea I think everything below Lariat is missing sound insulator "bags" in the fenders which probably causes some random suspension noises.

    The only problem is that lane keeping doesn’t really do anything.Oh yes the plastic is cheap but it look great and easy to clean 👍

    • @FocusedGarage
      @FocusedGarage  3 месяца назад

      I thought you can't get lane keep unless you have a Lariat trim. The Ford 360 on XLT trim is just for Blind Spot. Glad to hear you're liking your Maverick.

    I'm still waiting for delivery on mine but I think the complaints about the Maverick quality are just sour grapes from ridiculous people. The Maverick is basically an Escape with a bed on the back and people don't down talk the Escape nearly as badly.
    Regarding the interior wear, I've seen a couple 2022s; one was beat to hell with dirt and tiny scuffs but the owner admitted that he was "f**kin rough" on it while the other was a dealership loaner with 65,000 miles on it and looked new.
    I wonder if some of the complainers are doing WWF style drop kicks while wearing steel cleats because I've seen photos with some pretty horrific scratching.

    • @FocusedGarage
      @FocusedGarage  4 месяца назад

      Haha I'm with you.
      1) I truly wonder what people expect for a vehicle that starts at the low 20k price point.
      2) I also wonder how rough people are on these things before they step back and complain that they couldn't handle a stab from a knife, lol.

    • @FocusedGarage

      Difference is a direct injection turbocharged engine. Gotta take care of the turbo and it helps with the carbon build up on the intake valves.

      Depends on mileage and driving habits. Oil is cheaper than a new engine. lol.
