Wow! Just made a similar page in Notion this year as well. I call it “Marginalia” however, as in the things you write in the margins but maybe I’ll steal your “Resonance Calendar” because it sounds cooler. I went a bit further and made some templates for different things (for podcasts/films/videos I have an inline table for the time stamps, etc.), but I’ve been having trouble with inserting new things in the list. I resorted to having a separate inbox page for this. I also have a table view by default, but maybe I’ll follow your example to have a list view (makes more sense really). I’ve been linking it to the database of books and films I’ve read/want to read. I haven’t yet gone to the trouble of actually linking all of the content I consume but as I’m trying to minimize what I watch and read, maybe I’ll do that as well. Thank you for posting this! Always surprising to see similar use-cases for Notion (or finding out new ones). Hope you post ‘Notion as a Personal OS’ soon enough! 🙌
@@aliabdaal Indeed I can see the duplicate button now but when I click on it it gives me a error text: Runquery. I am still unable to duplicate it on my account. :/

Notion is looking more and more like a contender to replace some of what I use OneNote for, especially as it has some of the features I've been trying to hack into OneNote. I already have a mental workflow of using a webclipper to get things in there (and a less solid workflow for where the myriad things go after that, so I've got some work to do on defining the types of things I'm saving and what I need to do with them no matter which tool they ultimately end up in). Notions is not encrypted (as per Notions Customer Support). That concerns me quite a bit. They themselves recommend not putting anything that you want to keep secure up there. Customer data is sitting visible to Notions staff and anyone else that can access it. I am very interested in using Notions but the fact that the data is not secure is keeping me from it. Does anyone know of a secure alternative that is similar (if not as powerful)? Ali, you don’t seem concerned about this and I respect your expertise-so-why are you unconcerned? Is there some way you know to secure it on your own? Client Side Encryption?
I love this!! I had a conversation with my boyfriend last night and he said some things to me that I hoped I’d remember during arguments and reflect on how much we care about each other. It’d be a great way to write those things down to reflect upon during difficult moments.
This is great. We all need to be more reflective about the content we consume because in the end it needs to add value to our life, else its just a waste of time.
Just discovered your channel and am enjoying the content and presentation style. Great stuff. I particularly enjoy slowing the speed down 50% and seeing what you might be like to hang with after a few too many pints. Seriously though, keep up the great work and thank you for your efforts. Perhaps I'll be able to handle watching and absorbing at 100% speed if I apply some of your methods.
I have been thinking for yeeeaaars to do something like this, and I just never found the correct way to do it...and because of that I procrastinated many times with many books, reviews of books, movies, articles and more that I ended really liking but not knowing how to incorporate all of that into my life... This 2020 will be the first year I will do something similar to your calendar....in Notion aswell (after seeing your recommendation about how to read more books!, thanks by the way) 🙃 I am not completely sold on the Notion idea, but I will give it a try by making a resonance list of the ideas of the books that I am planning to read this year. And maybe other media (podcasts, conferences or clases that I take) Anyway I think is funny how other people have the same interests or needs to figure something out.... Just like you xplained in one of your videos about how scientists come up with similar theories and findings even they dont know each other!!! Greetings from 🇲🇽 México! 🙌 Successful new year!!!
Great great video , I really love your method of tech using and your way of life , You really live your life fully flourished & help others flourish too , God bless you , Thank you dear Ali❤❤❤
Creating content makes you collect, reflect, and organise a lot of information that would have otherwise disappeared. Giving=growing. You definitely deserve it. Great value. Thanks !
Loving your Notion videos! I've been able to integrate this template as well as another from Thomas Frank. Definitely jumped ship after I found out what I could do with Notion. I'm curious : Do you have any podcast app recommendation for android? Castro isn't available and my personal favourite won't allow the share to Notion (Podcast Addict). Spotify wouldn't share either. You're inspiring me to be more intentional with my consumption and I'm okay with switching apps if that means I'll be able to track my content. Thank you for the many lessons!
This is really useful for content management. I've lost count of the number of times I hear something and it percolates through the brain squirrels until it becomes my version 3 months later... then I can't remember where I heard the idea that informed my creation.
Hi Ali! Congrats on the very practical explanation! 2 questions: - I used Evernote but Notion seems much user friendly. What do you think of Evernote? - do you use it for medical stuff also? Such as papers, editorials etc

- Start Sharing to the created database. It’ll be automatically added on the date and time you’ve added it.
This has allowed me to basically turn Notion into a free version of Pocket. Thanks! God bless
Thank you so much💖. Y are actually ✨GOLD✨
how do you get that dark look on your thumbnail? That is not what my dark mode looks like
clicking on your template just brings me to my notion. i would love this template!
Wonderful and useful - I'm new to Notion and am very happy this popped-up in my RUclips feed.
Why are you calling it a calendar? It’s not really date focused?
98% of the stuff I put into these data management systems never gets looked at again. Managing data that is never referenced is a huge timesuck and can be better used.
I just bought an iPad after watching your videos...Though it is 9.7' 2018 model...But I want to know whether the pressure of palm will damage the screen while taking notes on the IPad with pencil...If anyone can answer this plzz...
Hi Ali! Thanks for sharing the Calendar. I tried to duplicate the template to my Notion but there's no 'duplicate' button in the top right corner. I checked other people's templates and the button is there. Do you know what might be the problem?
I can't seem to find the duplicate button as well
@@kengjoo1995 I just refreshed the page and it's there! upd: doesn't seem to be working though
not much of a productive person before. but ever since i watch this guy for some time i've been obsessed w productivity. and yes ali,im putting the blame on you
Omg same like I just enjoy watching productivity videos and being organised now it’s actually so weird but I’m lowkey loving it
When I click on the duplicate button, it gives me an error: Runquery. Any idea on how to fix that?
No One same problem!
Same issue
@@TheMichaelGrace Still waiting for a fix.
@@NoOne-by7qy I ended up just making my own version manually.
@@TheMichaelGrace would you potentially share yours Grace?
You’re very convincing! Just got notion :)
I don't have anything on there that I particularly care to be encrypted
I love this!! I had a conversation with my boyfriend last night and he said some things to me that I hoped I’d remember during arguments and reflect on how much we care about each other. It’d be a great way to write those things down to reflect upon during difficult moments.
This is great. We all need to be more reflective about the content we consume because in the end it needs to add value to our life, else its just a waste of time.
Installed this a few days ago, pretty handy!!
Hi Ali! Do you keep any digital medical notes from the medical books/journals you read and where?
This 2020 will be the first year I will do something similar to your calendar....in Notion aswell (after seeing your recommendation about how to read more books!, thanks by the way) 🙃
I am not completely sold on the Notion idea, but I will give it a try by making a resonance list of the ideas of the books that I am planning to read this year. And maybe other media (podcasts, conferences or clases that I take)
Anyway I think is funny how other people have the same interests or needs to figure something out.... Just like you xplained in one of your videos about how scientists come up with similar theories and findings even they dont know each other!!!
Greetings from 🇲🇽 México! 🙌
Successful new year!!!
This template link seems not work?
What are the steps you use in study I am a bit confused? Also do for notion making a skeleton structure do you use it over Evernote?
Hey! Would you be willing to share your ideas template? :)
Just downloaded the app recently from your videos and loving it already!!
This idea just fresh my mind that Notion can be used in this great way! Really inspiring video! Thank you, Ali1
Great great video ,
I really love your method of tech using and your way of life ,
You really live your life fully flourished & help others flourish too ,
God bless you ,
Thank you dear Ali❤❤❤
Creating content makes you collect, reflect, and organise a lot of information that would have otherwise disappeared. Giving=growing. You definitely deserve it. Great value. Thanks !
Can Notion replace the need for Google Sheets?
link is not working for the templete
pls fix it
Loving your Notion videos! I've been able to integrate this template as well as another from Thomas Frank. Definitely jumped ship after I found out what I could do with Notion. I'm curious :
Do you have any podcast app recommendation for android?
Castro isn't available and my personal favourite won't allow the share to Notion (Podcast Addict). Spotify wouldn't share either. You're inspiring me to be more intentional with my consumption and I'm okay with switching apps if that means I'll be able to track my content.
Thank you for the many lessons!
This is really useful for content management. I've lost count of the number of times I hear something and it percolates through the brain squirrels until it becomes my version 3 months later... then I can't remember where I heard the idea that informed my creation.
Hi Ali! Congrats on the very practical explanation! 2 questions:
- I used Evernote but Notion seems much user friendly. What do you think of Evernote?
- do you use it for medical stuff also? Such as papers, editorials etc
(To answer ur question): this is another of his videos ruclips.net/video/ODl5FOMu8kI/видео.html
@@JoeDavisMusic thanks 👍🏻
I have gained a huge understanding and appreciation for notion databases just from looking at yours. Thank you for sharing this. This is exactly what I need to be doing.
