For 32 years of my life, we lived by my husband's calendar. It was a paper book from the dollar store, but it worked. One day we had a scouting event, my daughter's birthday, and a scout dinner all at once. It was a crazy day, but everything got done. Now with my husband gone and my children grown, I am working on my own method of planning, so your video was a big help.
This was such a sweet memory to read! Thank you for sharing that with us. I love that our efforts to be organized come down to making life easier not just for ourselves but also for the ones we love. Thank you ❤
I need to watch this video periodically!! And thank you dear stranger on the internet that liked this comment so I could come and watch it one more time :)
12:26 "I'm choosing not to make the time" makes so much sense. Every time when I make myself a new routine, I always feel overwhelmed and guilty because there is so much that I want to do, but I can't cause I'm prioritizing other things. Choosing not to make the time means I still have control over what I am doing every day and I'll make time for something else in the future.
I colourcode my blocks regarding energylevel - if they replenish (blue to green) are active but moderate (yellow) or are challenging or even draining (orange to red). As being post burnout this is very helpfull :)
I wouldn't say ideal day, but rather Reality Adjustment. That is so that your calender reflects your reality not your ideal, so that you can actually use it. Maybe you can correct if you agree :)
This is amazing. I grew up with this method because that's what my school in Portugal gave us at the beginning of every year. One A4 sheet with the whole year laid out with all our assignments and holidays on it. When I moved to the UK it was so odd to me that students didn't receive anything like this and I've been doing this for years now, specially in uni. Great video! More people should do this!
I have found as someone with bad ADHD that I don’t block out breaks, I block out time to do things with the understanding that I’m going to pomodoro whatever I’m doing. (Do something for 30 minutes then break for five, repeat for 3-4 cycles then take a 30 minute break). From work to study to cleaning my house I use this method and man is it a life changer. Also if I’m really into a subject I can skip/push back breaks, but I can’t push back or skip the work. Personally if I have an hour to work then an hour for break my mind can’t ramp up for the work and can’t calm down for the break. Find what works for you, you got this ❤
The comment section really reflects the open-minded, warm audience you are building Ali and reflects on how much impact you are having on peoples everyday lives, thank you!
the Kingdom of GOD is coming…“Silver is for the kettle, and gold for the furnace, but The LORD is the tester of hearts- Bible” your heart is like discovered silver, dirty and not pure, when silver is purified it is melted over and over, to the point that when it’s melted and glows red hot, it is pure enough to see your own reflection in the puddle, so also does the LORD purify your heart, till HE can see HIS own reflection in it, seek the LORD and be reborn, ask The LORD to renew and restore you, repent and be baptized for the forgiveness of sins, Jesus died so that our sins will be wiped away and so that we could be made new, seek The Kingdom of GOD for if you would be wise you would be wise for yourself, pick up your cross and deny your flesh and follow the path of GOD, for The Kingdom of GOD is at hand, in JESUS MIGHTY NAME Amen and Amen 🙏
I have ADHD and the year at a glance calendar made so much sense in my brain, although I have reminders for birthdays, seeing it all laid out is a game changer. I did a mix combo of ideal week and day but I’m only implementing a bit at a time for those, adding too much will make me quit immediately. So I added the morning routines I want, along with some weekly items.
I have ADD and haven’t found anything yet to help my unorganized, totally time-wasting, unproductive life. I am going to try this Trident Method. I don’t know what app he is using for his calendar. I don’t see the templates that he said would be listed below. May I ask what other methods, apps, programs or anything that you have found helpful for you. Also, any ideas on how to organize my house, files, folders just anything.
@@pat6703 He said in the video that he uses FantastiCal (which, as he said, is just a souped-up version of Google Calendar). I'm trying to get my ADHD brain to be just a little bit more constrained, too.
I’ve always hated how so many time management methods require everything to be on separate pages where I can never see everything at once. I have terrible object permanence because of my adhd so planners were always the worst because of this! I’ve been using methods similar to this and they’re the only thing that’s ever worked for me. It’s so amazing for you to make proper templates for people to use for those of us who have terrible organization but still need it to manage :’)
I think, you mean something else by object permanence. Having no object permanence would mean, you think, someone doesn't exist anymore when they leave the room.
@@KiraFriede I believe it was used correctly, as object permanence pertains to many things - objects, people, responsibilities, etc. It's not that we "think" someone doesn't exist when they leave the room, but more of an "out of sight, out of mind" kind of thing, with anything related to object permanence. It's not that we forget they exist or never think about them (which would be FAR from accurate), but we very easily forget about things, including people sometimes, in regards to reaching out to them or doing something that we meant to or wanted to do for them. We know they exist, we just get "lost" in all the other stuff our brains are thinking about - objects to keep track of, appointments and schedules, endless to-do tasks (both big and small), the almost constant flow of random ideas, thoughts, worries, and all the *other* people in our lives!! It becomes so overwhelming to keep it all straight and remember every single thing at the priority level that we should. Our brains think differently, which is sometimes a blessing and sometimes a curse, but everyone who legitimately has it understands how extremely difficult it can be to manage at times. And the symptoms for it, whether for kids or adults, differ for each person as well as the degree of each of those symptoms.
"He works with the CEO's of really high growth companies....and me" - come on now, Ali! Give yourself more credit. You are an incredible individual and I, (as well as thousands of others) rely on your inspiration and guidance in my life. I hope you see the richness and abundance in your life.
"Time is our single most valuable nonrenewable resource. We can always make more money, but we can never make more time." Well said. These two things go hand-in-hand as well. If we don't know how to manage our time, then how can we make the time to make more money?
Hi, can you please tell how to color block in this fantastical calender app on Android ? Tried it but there is only one color available for time blocking.
I began freelancing past 15 years and last 12 years a self employed entrepreneur. I have multiple small businesses and what I don’t have is a proper method to manage my time and balance family time, responsibilities and take a healthy breaks. As my businesses are growing, so is my work load and past 5 years, since my father passed away I have felt the burn out. I am struggling to find a solution and came across you. Thank you. I will try this and keep you posted
Hi Ali. I'm in grade 9 currently and I've started watching your videos not too long ago but each one of them are just so helpful and explained in depth that I genuinely feel that someone understands these problems and gives the most appropriate solution to them..... Thanks for this life saviour video and hope you do well in the future!!
For anyone who enjoys this method but prefers paper 📝 I highly recommend the Full Focus Planner. But I’m a big hybrid user so I really enjoyed this video on how it’s an easy way to merge the two. ❤
Notes: Annual level: Day wise view of the important things planned and what happened Weekly view, of an ideal week taking in mind of the constraints and your priorities Daily view, plan the week before, have 3 quests everyday for your priorities and follow it
"TIme is the single most valuable non-renewable resource" - this quote really resonated with me. I know how much guilt I feel when I think I could have used my time properly earlier in my life.
Thanks for this. I’m no genius or entrepreneur. I’m a housewife with ALOT to plan for my family and my side business. This is fab and I will deffo be trying it out for the remainder of 2023 to increase efficiency. I hope to use this to boost productivity for mundane tasks so I free more time for all of us to have intentional family bond building.
This ideal week thing really helped me to see where my time was going! I always feel like I don't have enough time to get everything done and blocking out my time has helped me see that I really don't... I see now that I need to schedule in things like cleaning and laundry because it gets neglected because I just I haven't allocated time for it! Now following through with this ideal week is another struggle hahaha.
this trident method really is helpful to me in the past 4 months that ive implement it to my life. i never really considered having an "ideal week" but it has since saved me from crippling decision fatigue since i already have a guide on how my week is supposed to go. also, it helped me from feeling guilty whenever i decline from social invitations on days that i just want to relax and have me time. love your content! please keep doing what you do.
Well explained. Thank you for bringing up this video. Financial education is indeed required for more than 70% of the society in the country as very few are literate on the subject ..... Thanks to Gianna Everett the lady you recommended.....
Investing appropriately today can save you a whole lot of stress in the near future, so anyone who is not investing now is missing a great Opportunity.
Ali thank you brother! I have been using the same method for years and one of the most incredible benefits I have found is because we take the time to schedule our priorities it also helps us to say NO to the things that we quite often take on, that clog our time and our schedules! Great video! thank you.
I love trying to find new ways to be more efficient and productive. I haven't seen your method or videos until now but... this weekly calendar method is exactly what do at work. All tasks are scheduled and colour code, I can drag and adjust time if need, lunch is blocked out, travel is included, higher priority items are colored bright and when a task is done the task is changed to grey. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos.
This came at such a right time; I’ve been dragging my feet on putting together a yearly overview calendar in Notion to track my annual performance metrics at work so very helpful to see that Sheets simply does the trick
I have been using year at a glance for years, it's the only thing in my bullet journal that has been consistent, no matter how little I have used it. (Some years almost none). It is really one of the best things I know. I learned about perfect week in 2022, and I'm using it this year, but now with a lot more knowledge of what i need and like to do. I know how long my commute takes, what is realistic and unrealistic, and know i have to prioritize having a lot of leisure time, otherwise I will get demotivated or use my productive time for leisure. I think also it is important for those of us who have a normal 9-5 job to not use this calendar for job related tasks. I have my own callendar for what i do during work hours, but in my ideal week i have just blocked off 9-5 mon-fri for "work", and then plan the rest of my week around that. It makes me feel more in control of my week, as I'm not in control of my workdays.
Thanks for sharing these, Ali! I find them very useful. Another benefit of "year at a glance" for me is, as an academic, sometimes I feel like I didn't do anything in the past couple of weeks as there is no outcome. But, seeing that I spent a lot of time in trying makes me feel good:)
Going on a completely off-track tangent here but I love that the acronym for the trident method (Annual-Weekly-Daily) is AWD. It's like all wheel drive, or like the expression all hands on deck, because in a way it really does allow you to be more efficient and intentional in your tasks, productivity and overall life. It's like being the most efficient at grip, like an all-wheel-drive car. Welp, alright I'll cut my analogy here xD
Can't wait to read your book! I love the fact that you mention intention everytime you talk about effective time management. That takes half the stress away :)
i keep coming back to this when i need to get my life together :') suffering the consequences of your bad decisions and habits concerning productivity is not something i want to experience again😭😭😭 tysm for the kind of content you put out!!
Thank you for sharing your experience! It dawned on me that the main secret of your productivity lies in the fact that you fill your schedule only with the things you genuinely enjoy doing. Or at least it seems so)
The Year View is a game changer, I added a column at the end of each month where I can simply add the color code I already use in all of my other planning to denote which major area of my life the item fits in (Primary Job, Secondary Project, Personal, Grandson, Scouts each have their own color) I find this helps me keep everything uniform and allows me to see my work/life balance at a glance. -- Yes, I could have added this color coding to the date column, but I used that to show which days each month I actually have my grandson!
This is truly AMAZING! I was dreading watching the video because soooo many people have time management videos, but the quality of this video is just phenomenal 😀. Thank you for using free platforms like Google and for making it really simple to follow along!
Indeed, our time is the most precious thing that every person has! аnd time management helps us not to waste time on meaningless things that dont bring us joy
Me, doing the yearly view and realising that actually I have no real social life, no big events, no trips to block out or very much going on at all in fact 🤣
Nothing wrong with gaining that perspective. It let's you see where you have space to add a new hobby or make more plans. I learned about Bullet Journals before they got... entirely too cute and involved lol. And, I have to agree with him on the year at a glance. Those open spaces are just time you have to add something new. 😊
@@Bookdrogan Well, I figured that’s plenty of time to basically become a Hobbit. Gardening, food, the occasional adventure and a book next to the fire.
Gosh, I never realised how much it helps to plan things yearly. I don't comment often but just wanted to say thank you for creating these templates. Also enjoy watching your content.
BuletJornal shifted my mindset from "default layouts" of usual planners to thinking what I actually need and constructing my planning system based on it.
I actually do something very similar but instead of using a calendar I use Trello and time block based on that. But basically I do the same thing. I think your video has inspire me to actually go more on a monthly and annual level now that I have a weekly/daily objectives down in my Trello. This method 100% helps so much
Hi Ali, thank you from my heart. My new business is in a huge growth phase and I am a sole trader. Putting together a team and a bit overwhelmed. My husband shared your video with me. I’m am so relieved to have a calander that can help me organise my day week year. It’s a life saver for me! Thanks you so much Saren Sana ❤
Im impresses with myself. I already do all this. And made it up alone through the years. It really works for me, and now i see works for more people 😉 Good video
Thanks so much!! I work 12 hour overnight shift that fluctuate monthly. That along with ADHD has made my life extremely overwhelming. I keep buying planners and I just waste time. I may not be able to do a year in advance quite yet but I can start monthly. Thanks again wish me luck 😊
I'm in a similar boat. I have ADHD and I work nightshift, usually 8 hrs, sometimes 12. Creating the "ideal week/day" is going to be hard because I pick up shifts based on need, so no week looks the same and my sleep schedule is - well, there isn't one really, I just sleep when I can. I've also never used Google sheets, so I downloaded them and now don't know where to start. Anyway, good luck to you and hope you're having some success with this system!
Maybe I missed it, but what about household tasks? Cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, yardwork? I would love to know how/when you schedule those in, and how much time you allot for them.
@@ivana4942 Super old comment, but coming from someone who tried the Flylady and failed: There are parts of the system that are super helpful (daily maintenance tasks to keep the chaos under control but don't feel overwhelming) BUT: the system is designed for stay at home mums. Not for people with a 40h job and/or kids on top. Look for daily maintenance things that make sense for you (i.e. instead of "shining the sink", I make sure that before I go to bed, the kitchen is in good condition - who cares about one crumb in the sink...).
So happy I found your channel. My whole life I thought I was cray cray with my lists, blocking slots since a child and so on.... This is the holy grail. Thank you!!! I intend to use all of this to become the best version of me :)
Is incredibly difficult to find time in the day to pursue your own endeavours. 8 hours sleep, 8 hours at work, 2 hour round commute, 2 hours miscellaneous tasks, 1 hour at gym. It’s so easy to feel trapped.
I am already using this method it's great, I made this by myself without watching any videos, And I try to follow start to end. If there are any urgent tasks to do, I made changes here and there It's fine, and now watching your video makes me more confident in my creativity.👍
"Follow the intention I've already set..." is really helpful advice, thank you x I'm self diagnosed ADHD and often struggle with implementing my great ideas... I feel I need to work on my improving my level of enthusiasm as well as my commitment to my own tasks.
This is genius - personally I’ve been feeling very overwhelmed as an entrepreneur and this style your explaining works for my brain! Can’t wait to set this up and see what happens. Also love the ‘don’t need to beat myself up about it’ with maybe fitting in the guitar lesson later on when there’s maybe some more time… because I do this all the time because there’s so many things I want to do!
Very helpful video. Thanks. I have also started bullet journal recently and i love it. It's the best productivity tool I have ever used. I feel so organised, now my life is out of chaos Alhamdulillah ❤
This is so important. I always felt like I never saved time to do the stuff I like, but being intentional about your time makes all difference. " I'm choosing to not prioritize this or that right now" is so much better than " I don't have time to do what I like". Nice video.
My life can pretty much be summed up by before this channel and after❤ Thank you for helping getting out of the day to day slump. Maybe now after applying it all I'll actually have time for everything 😊
I cannot tell you the value I'm getting from your videos Ali. I will definitely be getting your book (pre-ordering tomorrow), and sometime soon I'll be joining your RUclips course. Everything about your videos is what I'm looking for from a RUclips content creator. I have struggled with personal productivity being a creative type, and just in a few days since discovering your channel things are starting to get better.
Quick note: Huel and meal replacement shakes in general are contentiously debated. You may want to read more about them and their potential side effects if you haven’t already. But if they work for you, great!
One of the main contents in Huel is rapeseed oil. Seed oils are inflammatory and we aren't adapted to consume it. The oil is cheap to manufacture and highly profitable.
Chewing has so many dental health benefits. And, it can even give you sharper jaw lines, meaning good looks. Compared to constantly non chewing, or eating only soft foods give you sluggish jaws and neck.
As a complement to the first plan-a-year part, I use the similar two-page layout in my paper calendar to jot daily something I did to further intentional goals. This includes rest time to keep my life in balance, new clients, a new insight, filing taxes (not exactly a goal but I always need the motivation). I can then tell at a glance what goals I have been making big strides with, which ones are getting attention but not moving much, and which are stagnating.
For your analog audience Hobonichi Cousin is an excellent paper planner that allows you to use this method within one planner/system that's not digital.
11:09 This is so true. When I was in college and saw my friends every day, we only hanged out once per year. Now that they are out of state and only come here 3 times per year, I meet them 3 times a year. We tend to compromise when people are here for a short time and ignore them when they are near and available. Please be aware of it.
Ha, that annual overview in sheets is genius. I'm also doing bullet journaling and I find it very beneficial, but gew tired of doing this particular layout manually. It takes 1 min to create it in Sheets instead - and I can keep the weeklies/dailies in the bujo. Thanks for this simple yet great idea :)
Pretty cool to see you show it like that and keep it so simple! I literally teach my clients things like this so that they WILL get their workouts in each week without being able to use "time" as the excuse.
We don’t all have the same hours in the week. For many of disabled people we simply don’t have the same useful hours, because our conditions mean we just can’t *use* those hours. I have fewer useful hours than a healthy person, so can’t do as much. That’s the reality. It’s so frustrating when people say we all have the same hours, because although sure, that time *exists*, that doesn’t actually help people’s day to day lives. I work, I’m self employed, time management is important, but when everything assumes good health and consistent levels of energy or the ability to push through periods of lower energy, it’s even harder to find methodologies that help. I have an energy limiting fluctuating illness - I need to be able to be super flexible and responsive and that makes planning ahead almost impossible.

The year view looks great. My planners have those but I hadn't thought about making one myself. I don't think an ideal week would work for me, however, given that my job isn't flexible at all but also doesn't fit to a routine. Lunch is when you have a suitable stopping point, etc.
Great video!! Don't know if you know this or not but, if you add the word "copy" to the end of a Google Sheet URL, it will automatically prompt the user to create a copy of the sheet when they click on the link, essentially "forcing" them to make a new version of the sheet instead of directly editing the original one. Much easier than explaining to people how to make a copy or to take the chance on them messing up your google sheet! Cheers!
Discovering Hidden Time Wealth has been one of the best things I've done for my productivity. It feels like I’ve finally cracked the code to overcoming procrastination.
I used to use a system like this on paper. I tried several digital tools for planning and time/project management, but none of them had all the features I wanted. Then I found Notion. I have built a data table for my Year at a Glance in My Notion workspace and I love it!
I agree. Rude. He gets sponsors so he can continue to make money and therefore be able to make free content for us. The way to pay him is to give him a thumbs up and subscribe, make a comment and at least not tell his sponsors that they are not worth listening.
Wow!!!!! this video, (the google sheets template and how to do a perfect week) this has just saved me hours and Hours, I would have had to have learned how to create all this. For someone w/ severe ADHD this is life changing, thank you soooo sooooo much!!!!
I have ADHD , most probably it will be very good video for me. I will surely update you after applying these methods in my life. Thank you so much for sharing this video.
Hi Ali! Thanks for this video, I just have one question, when you rest and relax? I think it's an important part of having balance and being productive.
OMG I am so amped up watching this! So many great ideas. I've already copied your template and inputted my year at a glance. Now I'm making an "ideal week" Google cal. Thank you!!
It’s wicked awesome you’re sharing this template you worked super hard on with us! Thank you so much. I think this will help me feel less stressed and anxious about time. Also, may I ask what calendar app you used? I know you mentioned google, but what was the one where you’d an duplicate and drag stuff?
Thank you for sharing your knowledge - As a full-time working mom I am constantly chipping away at ''figuring out time'' this just helped me so much! I just need to find a way to visualize a family version of this ... I'm also terrible at categorizing, but as you showed. I will start with the ideal week and put in the constant blocks and work my way through ... I feel your genuine feeling of ease and how this has helped you ... That is the feeling I am striving to feel
I just bought a year planner yesterday - the paper kind that you hang on your wall. I have never seen the same for a computer, so thank you for that "Year at a glance" template for a computer.
@aliabdaal you mentioned in the video that you are using an app that is way easier to use that Google Calendar and then as an example proceeded to show how to easily it was to create new time blocks by using the combo "ALT and drag". What app it is that you use? Amazing video by the way! SO helpful and learnt so much. Thanks!
Ali, thanks for this. I find myself quite undisciplined and enjoying the freedom of my whims but later regretting the time spent on unproductive things while other commitments/responsibilities languish. Just downloaded your Year at a Glance and am getting some sense of control of my time already. I look forward to refining it and also the Week Review.
Really love the different way to look at the year in the beginning. Made me realize the traditional “calendar” view doesn’t work for me and why I don’t plan my years.

I don’t see the templates that he said would be listed below. May I ask what other methods, apps, programs or anything that you have found helpful for you. Also, any ideas on how to organize my house, files, folders just anything.
@@pat6703 He uses google spreadsheets and google calender
How did you know that you have ADD?
@pat6703 look in the description, above the comments section (you have to press "more" . You will find the links to the calendar he uses there.
@@pat6703 He said in the video that he uses FantastiCal (which, as he said, is just a souped-up version of Google Calendar).
I'm trying to get my ADHD brain to be just a little bit more constrained, too.
Key takeaways:
- Year-at-a-glance - sheets
- Ideal week - calendar
- Daily quests - work + health + relationship
Thank you , that's a great summary...But I think people should still watch the whole video to have a better understanding :)
thanks so much
I can't download the year-at-a-glance-sheet, how do we do that? I did follow the instructions but can't download it though
Yes.
What is the app that he uses from 15:39?
Thank you
You can manage time
Its not abt being productive in every hour. Its abt using our time more intentionally. Really love this perspective, thanks Ali!
For everyone who is asking the calender app he uses is called fantastical calendar. Hope this helps!
Edit: It's only available for IOS and Mac.
Thank you so much, been looking for this app. Thanks Ali as usual for amazing contents !
Thanks Marc!!!
Hi, can you please tell how to color block in this fantastical calender app on Android ? Tried it but there is only one color available for time blocking.

@@marc7951 ☹ Sad.
Hey I’m in grade 9 also!

Thank you
@@Makiaveliisteit's fantastical. He does say the name of the app in this video.
Wow...grade 9! You are a superstar.
For anyone who enjoys this method but prefers paper 📝 I highly recommend the Full Focus Planner. But I’m a big hybrid user so I really enjoyed this video on how it’s an easy way to merge the two. ❤
Notes:
Annual level: Day wise view of the important things planned and what happened
Weekly view, of an ideal week taking in mind of the constraints and your priorities
Daily view, plan the week before, have 3 quests everyday for your priorities and follow it
Thanks!
I had failed several times while investing and I'm still confused.
The rich remain rich by spending little, investing hugely and wise while the poor keep spending everything yet not investing.

Great video! thank you.
My missing element was the 12 month view. And adhering more consistently to my monthly/daily commitments. Thanks for refreshing my process.
What is the app that he uses from 15:39?
Thank you
@@Makiaveliiste Did you get the app? Please let me know.
i keep coming back to this when i need to get my life together :') suffering the consequences of your bad decisions and habits concerning productivity is not something i want to experience again😭😭😭 tysm for the kind of content you put out!!
I feel you there. This thumbnail has been haunting me lol
Indeed, our time is the most precious thing that every person has! аnd time management helps us not to waste time on meaningless things that dont bring us joy
Me, doing the yearly view and realising that actually I have no real social life, no big events, no trips to block out or very much going on at all in fact 🤣
We should link up sometimes, I would love to ❤
Nothing wrong with gaining that perspective. It let's you see where you have space to add a new hobby or make more plans. I learned about Bullet Journals before they got... entirely too cute and involved lol. And, I have to agree with him on the year at a glance. Those open spaces are just time you have to add something new. 😊
Literally why I’m scared to do it myself 😂

This method 100% helps so much
how can you used trello as time blocks?
Hi Ali, thank you from my heart. My new business is in a huge growth phase and I am a sole trader. Putting together a team and a bit overwhelmed. My husband shared your video with me. I’m am so relieved to have a calander that can help me organise my day week year. It’s a life saver for me!

Im impresses with myself. I already do all this. And made it up alone through the years. It really works for me, and now i see works for more people 😉
Good video
Flylady....don't jump ahead. 😁
He did say he has house cleaning on wednesdays so that must cover that or on the weekends he has free
@@johncourtney8825i find her overwhelming but maybe I'm doing it wrong.
Plus you need to eat, shit and shower in between all of that
hope you get more clarity soon g 🙏🏻

This is so important. I always felt like I never saved time to do the stuff I like, but being intentional about your time makes all difference. " I'm choosing to not prioritize this or that right now" is so much better than " I don't have time to do what I like". Nice video.

Awesome is one word I say how much you think through your life
Quick note: Huel and meal replacement shakes in general are contentiously debated.
Processed food has never been any good, even if it's green from packaging to the actual food.
So glad your channel came up on my feed! 🙏🏼 my watch list is blessed
This Year view method is game changer! So simple, why didn't I think of this before!? 🤯
Hobonichi cousin is ace 🎉
As a complement to the first plan-a-year part, I use the similar two-page layout in my paper calendar to jot daily something I did to further intentional goals. Tip: if you change the end of your Google sheet url from /edit to /copy - it will force copy the original template for the person opening it.
Ooh good idea thanks!
The year view looks great. My planners have those but I hadn't thought about making one myself.
I don't think an ideal week would work for me, however, given that my job isn't flexible at all but also doesn't fit to a routine. Lunch is when you have a suitable stopping point, etc.
Appreciate you making these videos. Ever since I started watching you, you've changed the course of my life for the better.
Cheers!

Thank you so much for the ideal week run through. I implemented this in my work last week and it’s been amazing for my productivity!
I just bought a year planner yesterday - the paper kind that you hang on your wall. I have never seen the same for a computer, so thank you for that "Year at a glance" template for a computer.
The ideal week idea is great. Specially loved the fact that you fitted 2 date nights in there. ❤
We use this as a family. Each person has a different color. It was nice when the kids were younger and everyone had crazy schedules.
Thanks!
I believe it is called Fantastical app. He mentioned it in another video by name. I hope this helps. 😊
I think it is called „Fantastical Calendar“ for iOS and Mac.
Ali, thanks for this. I find myself quite undisciplined and enjoying the freedom of my whims but later regretting the time spent on unproductive things while other commitments/responsibilities languish. Love the year calendar idea to have everything on one page 👍🏻
Really love the different way to look at the year in the beginning. Made me realize the traditional “calendar” view doesn’t work for me and why I don’t plan my years.
