The denmen brush is not a detangling brush yall, it’s a styling brush so pls don’t get upset if it doesn’t work for your hair, when I got mine it wasn’t giving what ppl were saying it gave and I thought damn my hair that unmanageable 😔 but found a no name brush that detangles like ease. I still use the denmen to define my curls however 😃
You're right its not but I felt that it had to be in the video because it was one of the first "detangling" tools used in the natural hair community because of the claims that it could detangle hair better than the traditional comb.
I Absolutely love the ultimate tangle teaser. The one with the handle, I’ve tried a lot of brushes and this is the only one that can really work for me
the ez detangler has been a life changer for me!! i'm tenderheaded so it takes me about 2 hours to fully detangle my whole head without any pain.. but baby that ez detangler will do it in 30 minutes! i hold it vertically when i detangle and i only detangle on wet hair. my shed loss is minimal
Exactly. You are SUPPOSED to begin vertical wise then horizontally and on WET hair. I don’t know a lot of type 4 folks that can brush/de tangle on dry hair.
I just purchased the tangle teaser a week ago and used it yesterday for the first time to detangle my hair while washing and conditioning it & I freaking love it. I have 4B hair and have only used a wide tooth comb to detangle my hair since I first went natural at 15 years old
Only use tangle teezer when hair is soaking wet ...some persons say it causes mid hair shaft splits. The EZ detangler works when hair either has only oil on it or is wet with conditioner on it before using. I love it on my 4c 4b hair..I use before washing and during washing
I am here, because I believed the hype of the EZ detangler, tried it, and was quickly overcome with disappointment and shame. I am totally getting the Tangle Teezer then. Thank u for sharing with us your enlightment, wise one 🙏
I got a dollar detangler from the dollar tree and I love it!... remember I did a review of the dupe (flexi hair brush) ? I still use it to this day. It detangles Edison's hair the best
I'm really glad it works for you; Having a bomb detangler on hand makes life so much easier. Are your curls loose or are they tightly coiled and springy. I found that if my hair wasn't as tightly coiled and springy I might have liked the EZ detangler more.
You had me dying haha My detangling routine includes using the Felicia Leatherwood brush first and then following up with the tangle teezer to smooth and get rid of shed hairs
Bless you, Queen- I thought I was hitting early menopause on account of how much of my hair was shedding and clumping when I committed to transitioning to natural hair! Clearly… I was just rocking with the wrong damn brushes and wasn’t doing a thorough removal of dead hair. Thank you for this vid (and your skin is fantastico)!
I have type 3 hair and that EX Detangler did not work on me either! It was such a disappointment! My mother also tried this brush and t did not work for her either... smh. we both will continue to use the brushes we currently use!
Yes sis. Just used it for the 1st time and it was soooooo easy without the clip. My hair has more tangles than a spider web so I give it a 10 out of 10.
Your hair is gorgeous ❤❤. Was thinking about the tangle teezer thank you for this video I'm totally going to get it I have the denman brush, but I like it more when I style my curles with it but use it as well to detangle
For the e-z detangle the “lock” on the back is very necessary. I have that brush and the “lock” was lost so now it is too flexible for me and snags my hair a lot.
I really appreciate the Realness of your channel💗 I’m 4cgz lol and I’m TIED of buying stuff to manage my hair and it doesn’t work. I will be trying the tangle teaser. 🤗
You so brave detangling on dry dry hair 🙈 I prefer the EZ detangler brush without that little piece so I can control it and also like you said it's better on wet hair with conditioner but either way it's not my favorite detangler
Love those mini braids and all your beautiful hair... I'm still not a brush though well not yet for me yet sticking with my cheap wide width / tooth comb 🤣🤣🤣😏
the only bad thing abt my hair is that it's rly thick but its so sensetive and also i sleep rough so i get collosal knots and it sucks. MY hair gets so tangled its not even funny edit: It gets so tangled bc i have alapecia (no fair i get something 40 year old men get at 7 years old and have to live with it) so i get bald spots and my hair is so frickin sensitive sensitive
EX detangler did not work for me... it pulls put a lot more hair when the hair is wet and the material is not sturdy... it bends a lot when brushing your hair.. it's just hard to use. I might try the EZ detangler.
I was about to say what’s the name of that purple brush but I found it is a tangle teaser!? I used the tangle teaser when it first came out and it didn’t have a handle . It broke my hair off I can’t risk it but the one with the handle looks promising .. idk lol I have a seamless comb. Oh and hello hydration conditioner is the best to detangle with I used to detangle in the shower I think I’ll go back to that it was easier .
I hate this brush. And my hair is only 2C/3A. I can’t find a brush to handle my knots that doesn’t rip my hair out. But the EZ detangler just gets stuck in my hair 😫
Wait the dry hair is wild. I’ll finger detangle with oil dry but that’s it. I like that first brush now that I stole it from my sister . The dedman always rips my hair out. It’s gotten the boot
Uhh, you kinda had it in the wrong holes lol. The top one is for thinner hair and I can tell you have thicker hair, it should’ve probably been in the bottom wholes.
I couldn't agree more! This brush seems like it works for looser curls and thinner density. I bought an extra one to give away now its just shoved in the bottom of my bathroom cabinet smh.
@@RachelAdina I know this is late but your not suppose to use the ez Detangler at the first clip for your hair but the second and your suppose to go vertically than horizontally.
@@RachelAdina lol yeah thats why you take care of your ends because they are the oldest and break easier. The hairs closer to the scalp are newer and get more moisture. 💧

Denman has a detangling paddle brush

I got a dollar detangler from the dollar tree and I love it!... remember I did a review of the dupe (flexi hair brush) ? I still use it to this day. It detangles Edison's hair the best
Which one did you get from the dollar tree? The one without the handle? 😊
YES. The Tangle Teezer is LIFE!!!! I have the ez de tangled and it stays at the bottom of the comb tub lol
I have the Tangle Teezer. I purchased mine from Walgreens for $14. And I used Balance Rewards and a coupon for $5 off $20.
That first brush (green one) only works on super wet hair in super small section. Bonus points if the hair is short.
i personally love the EZ detangler, it clumps my curls together and helps them hold overnight
edit: p.s i have really dense 3c/4a hair
I'm really glad it works for you; Having a bomb detangler on hand makes life so much easier. Are your curls loose or are they tightly coiled and springy. I found that if my hair wasn't as tightly coiled and springy I might have liked the EZ detangler more.
@@RachelAdina thanks! i have a mix of both throughout my head
I use the wet brush showers brush to detangle and it does so like a dream! 😍
Thank you for making this! I've been so conflicted on which detangler to try, and this helped a lot. Also you are absolutely gorgeous!! ^^
I just ordered the ez detantler and am regretting it rn
@@ittstyler7930 I like the tangle teezer!
@@BluQuill18 thank you I will be returning the ez and buying it!

I need this video because my wet brush has bit the dust.

The EZ Detangler works a lot better people say without the clip on the back although to me it just looks awkward 😅

For the e-z detangle the “lock” on the back is very necessary. I have that brush and the “lock” was lost so now it is too flexible for me and snags my hair a lot.
I have naturally straight and silky hair, i dont even need a comb some days but I am obsessed with these videos and alreay bought a tangle teezer😂
I love my tangle teaser I’ve been using mine for years I can’t function with out it!!!!!!!!
Could you make a video comparing the Kazmaleje Paddle Comb vs the Curl Keeper Flexy Paddle Brush?
I really appreciate the Realness of your channel💗 I’m 4cgz lol and I’m TIED of buying stuff to manage my hair and it doesn’t work. I will be trying the tangle teaser. 🤗
The Kazmalaje paddle brush detangler is my fave now.
How’d it go?? 👀👀

When I say wet I mean wet wet with mad conditioner hahahaha
I know right. I usually would NEVER detangle on dry hair but after box when my hair is relatively detangled and stretched its not super difficult.
@@RachelAdina very true! The things we do for the youtubes lol I only enjoy that brush in the shower though
@@CurlsofaCPA Guuuuurl!😂
Yeah, that's the problem with the tangle teasers I've seen, the bristles are too short.

I wish they made a color for men, but it is what it is.. I gotta do what I gotta do. I'm buying a Tangle Teezer.
EX detangler did not work for me... it pulls put a lot more hair when the hair is wet and the material is not sturdy... it bends a lot when brushing your hair.. it's just hard to use. I might try the EZ detangler.

Thanks for showing your shedding!!!
Rachhhhhh the way you're struggling tho. It works great for me and MY hair is def the worse to detangle. sis, I don't get it lol
That brush is the worst and I'm not here for its false advertisement and lies.😂and No..... that would be my hair Sharatia!
Yeah, I love it also works well for my hair I think it's a life saver for me
So which one did you recommend?
Yes!!!! Someone with my HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes Hello Hydration is it for me. When I saw that turquoise color I already knew. #subscriber
What the purple brush called?
And what den man brush are you using?
And please link on Amazon cheapest thank you x
Your hair is luxury🤩
But yea I KNEW that brush would cause travesties in my 4 hair!

I clicked because i needed to hear the conversation she was having with the brush😂😂😂😂😮
Nice video! I just ordered the Tangle Teezer! I'm looking forward to using it :)
Have you tried the Felicia Leatherwood brush? I've been eyeing that one.
No my friend just asked me about because she swears by it. So its defintely going on my try list!
Have you ever tried the KAZMALEJE? It cut my time from an hour to 15 minutes.
When i do detangle i just use a regular paddle brush or a wide tooth comb lol I'm not buying anything special caz i not that type of natural dwl

What about the tangle teezer I think that would be best don't you think
I been looking for a brush for sooo long. You just helped me! New sub!
“Don’t play wit me “🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Uhh, you kinda had it in the wrong holes lol. The top one is for thinner hair and I can tell you have thicker hair, it should’ve probably been in the bottom wholes.
My flexi detangler is from Conair and it acts the same way. Thought I was the only who felt this way about it. My hair does not like it.

I would ALWAYS FINGER DETANGLE with conditioner THEN use a brus.
Or maybe they have different hair types and makes it look and feel better for them
The EZ detangler sucks for type 4 hair I had it for a day and had to throw it away

that ez detangler brush sucks. i lost it and haven't cared to look for it because it's terrible
The EZ Detangler is the worst we might as well go back to the cheap plastic pack of camel color combs were only one comb is actually useful.😂
Lmao I still use mine
Mines has buck teeth but parts like none other so imma keep it!👌🏾
Yeah I tried it- one of the knockoffs, but it wasn’t for me. My wide tooth combs and tangle teezer for me
denman brush is too much for detangling. it rips my hair out wet and dry and i have 3b hair.
a whole disappointment lol
😬 cringe. Gotta at least use conditioner before dry detangling
