I have LITERALLY tossed all my other detangling tools out after using the EZ Detangler. I used mine without the clip at first, but I get less breakage with the clip. I have fine hair, so I get tons of those single-strand knots. The one thing I didn't see you do was detangling vertically, then horizontally (it actually says that on the box-weird but for me it actually works better than the traditional horizontal motion). BTW I love your makeup-free look! You are a natural beauty!

Detangling on dry hair isn't bad as long as your hair is hydrated and the strands are lubricated. But it's best to do it with your fingers then take a comb to bring the rest of your shed hair from your roots to your ends the use your fingers to take them out.

My husband has 3C hair and does not know how to do anything with it. He grew up never brushing his hair because it was short, but now he's letting his hair grow long. If I stretch it out, it goes past his shoulders now. I sent this video to him. I don't think he ever tried a prepoo. He recently got the Wet Brush and has been using it in the shower. It seems to get rid of tangles, but it also breaks up his beautiful curls. Maybe a brush like this, along with a prepoo, would work better. I have straight hair, so I don't know much about how to take care of his hair type, either. At least I got him to stop washing his hair with a bar of soap. I got him Shea Moisture products and they do make his hair much prettier and less frizzy. Thank you for the informative video!

I have both brushes and personally I prefer the Felicia Leatherwood brush for the reason you explained it’s not as flexible as the other one. When adding the guard it wouldn’t stay. I do like the tangle teezer as well, I just have the bean shaped one which would slip from
my hands. I need to invest in the one with the handle. Would love to see you do a review of all three and tell us what you think, as always thanks for sharing!

My experience is I love this product. I don't have 4C hair but my hair is definitely kinky curly coily (some parts I don't even have a name for) and I'm normally a finger detangler and that's it. Bought this on sale and love it. It glides, doesn't tangle, and I love the handle. It's not slippery at all. Use it to detangle and to evenly spread my leave in and Creame. It's amazing

I got a fake one that looked exactly like that at my local beauty supply store. Usually, I have to detangle my hair using a lot of conditioner. But with this brush, I was able to detangle my hair quickly and easily with only using water. The brush glided through my hair with ease from the top to bottom. And it was the least amount of shed hair I have ever seen.

I like mine. I jump between this, the tangle teaser (I use that mostly on my ends), and the Felicia Leatherwood. For reference, my hair is somewhere near upper chest (passed shoulders), thick-ish, I think it's coarse, and it's a Type 4 mix. I'd say mostly A and B with C playing around at the front.

Danggg...I am so glad Chizi liked this, but personally, having the same exact brush and color, when tried on my 4b/4c hair, I found it to be too aggressive with my coils. I lost more hair using it verses my Felicia Leatherwood, unfortunately. I used mine after deep conditioning and also putting in my leave in conditioner, at its slipperiest, and NOPEEEE...it just didn't do it for me sigh. It works, but in order for me to gingerly detangle to prevent my hair breaking, it would take me longer, than me just finger detangling! I have medium to full density hair, with fine to medium thickness, so my hair tends to be more resistant to breakage and knots. So I was actually pretty disappointed that it didn't work out for me. On my wigs though...ISSA GO!

The reason that "twaking" noise is happening is because you left out a piece of the brush that connects to the back of the brush to hold the bristles of the brush together. And depending on where you connect that back piece on the brush it can detangle long/short, thick, fine hair.
