This film is poking a lot of fun at the sexist attitudes a lot of men held in the 1970s and the women of the 1970s who were fed up with men's crap... these were the early days of the women's liberation movement, feminism was still a relatively new thing but it was catching on with lots of women (especially younger women like Christina Applegate's character). Nowadays most women and quite a few men are feminists, so it's rarer to see the male behaviors depicted here (though there are definitely still men like that). 12:02 No, not seriously. At the other end of the spectrum, I'm going to mention the under appreciated 2010 comedy "Diner for Schmucks." It has its problems, but I think Dasha will enjoy its eccentric charm.
