Great reaction Dasha!! I love when you laugh and enjoy a movie. Oh and this movie was about the news teams from the 70's...thus the chauvinistic attitude of the men. I'm also glad you watched the outtakes and realized they didn't use a real dog for the scene.
"I'm gonna punch you in the ovaries... yep. Right in the baby maker" Might be the hardest I have ever laughed in a movie theater! I just was not expecting to hear that particular phrasing!! 😂😂😂
If you enjoy Will Ferrell, I definitely recommend Elf! A fun, happy feel good movie, with simple enough humor that you shouldn't get too lost. Love the reaction!
You didn't recognize the biker who kicked the dog. He was played by Jack Black a funny talented actor who starred in King Kong, Kung Fu Panda, School of Rock, Tenacious D & the Pick of Destiny just to name a few. I enjoyed your reaction!😊
5:07 "What this thing in his mouth?" It's a specific style of a type of orthodontic device called a "headgear" the uses anchoring _outside_ your mouth to realign your teeth in ways that braces can't.
6:31 Unfortunate yes, we men, in general (not every men, I'm now imagine all those "saints" screaming "not meeeee"), used to talk this way about women (and even worse when we don't like the woman in question). Off course, this is a parody and they're exaggerating but parodies are based in facts. Another fact in which this movie is based on is what some women have to endure in their works (and lives) in order to have a successful carrier (and life)...
In all honesty, most of us guys who don't fall into the nice guy catagory will talk like that but are courtesy enough to shut our mouths when a girl might hear it. The exception is the asshole guys who deliberately do it in front of girls just to get a rise. No one likes the asshole guys.
This film is poking a lot of fun at the sexist attitudes a lot of men held in the 1970s and the women of the 1970s who were fed up with men's crap... these were the early days of the women's liberation movement, feminism was still a relatively new thing but it was catching on with lots of women (especially younger women like Christina Applegate's character). Nowadays most women and quite a few men are feminists, so it's rarer to see the male behaviors depicted here (though there are definitely still men like that). 12:02 No, not seriously. Literally nothing in this movie is serious. 😂 12:50 I don't know if Will Ferrell actually plays any instruments or not, but it does seem to be a recurring theme in his movies. His character plays the guitar in Get Hard. 26:00 Her knowing how to fight is a callback to an earlier line of dialogue where she said she was good at 3 things: fighting, screwing and reading the news. 26:55 RIP Fred Willard (the actor playing Ron's boss, who died earlier this year). He was excellent in these kinds of movies/TV shows. 29:40 Pete Davidson was right. Danny Trejo really is in everything. For October please seriously consider reacting to another classic film where he played a bartender, From Dusk Till Dawn.

Everybody's recommending Steve Carell comedies, but I'm going to recommend the 2014 drama "Foxcatcher" based on the true story of John du Pont. Steve Carell gives an amazing, and uncharacteristically dark, dramatic performance that got rave reviews. At the other end of the spectrum, I'm going to mention the under appreciated 2010 comedy "Diner for Schmucks." It has its problems, but I think Dasha will enjoy its eccentric charm.
Hey Dasha, I have a video request? You know that guy that played Private Powell in Full Metal Jacket? Well he was in another movie called, "The Cell". Wondering if you'd like to check it out. It's a 90's classic.

First joke of the movie: "The following is based on actual events. Only the names, locations, and events have been changed."
"Based on Events ... that have changed"

Wow. That escalated quickly. I mean that got out of hand fast. 60 percent of the time it works everytime!😎😏
