    Thanks for the video and review! Make sure to continue adding content on this bike as the amount of video content on it is very low. Keep it up!

    Hi guys , I only had a short demo ride on Nicolai test track but I can agree with most comments. The positives definitely outweigh the slight negatives ( location of the controller ) and the bike feels great.
    I'm pretty sure this will be my next eeeb 🤟

    Hallo,
    Een en goede informative video. Vindt de Nicolai ook wel de moeite. Is wel diep in de buidel tasten...
    Miste wel wat info over de klimcapaciteit v.d. bike...
    Trouwens, hoeveel weegt die nu exact?
    Groet.

      Naargelang de maten ongeveer 27kg. Klimmen gaat zeer vlot. De lange wielbasis en rechter zitbuis helpt om comfortable te klimmen de laagste versnelling heeft heel veel koppel waardoor je gemakkelijk moeilijke passages kunt klimmen.

      Met kerst lijkt me onmogelijk. Ik ontvang hem in week 7. Mag ik je naam weten? Dan kan ik x polsen bij Nicolai. Van welke regio ben je? En heeft deze video geholpen om een Nicolai te bestellen? Groeten!

    I've tried asking at Nicolai about the available finishes on the frame, but didn't get an accurate answer to my question. Do you know if the anodised finished frames are done with Hard Anodising or the less durable Cosmetic Anodising?

    • @darksaint1982
      @darksaint1982  Месяц назад

      For powder coating, a polyester color powder is electrostatically dusted onto the frame and then melted. The resulting paint layer forms an impact-resistant, durable coating that is firmly bonded to the aluminum. In anodizing, on the other hand, a colored oxide layer is formed on the surface of the aluminum by an electrochemical process. Where a powder coating fills and smoothes out small irregularities and machining marks, an anodizing clearly reveals surface textures and milling patterns.

      @@darksaint1982 Thank you, I know all of that, but there are two grades of anodising, one's purely cosmetic - which I believe is ised on the smaller frame parts, rocker linkeage etc and the other is Hard Anodised, but Nicolai haven't been able to inform me which process they use on their frames.

      Try to contact Vincent @ Nicolai. So the anodizing method is something that will change your mind?
      I like the raw finish because I crash often and what is not painted will not peel off😅. Anodized link will be difficult to scratch because it's in the middle. And also anodizing is no extra layer it's the part it self, so you need to scratch very deep to find uncolored material.

    What did your colleagues say about the medium size and what are their body sizes? GZ

    • @darksaint1982
      @darksaint1982  Месяц назад

      Bobtje is 1m75. And he preferred medium. Because it's more playfull. Large felt like a train for him it rides itself.
      Regis is 1m84. Large was very stable and M more playfully.
      For me 1m86. M was lesser damped and more agile feeling.
      Large is the bike that rode the best. I needed the room to manouvre. Like I said recomonded sizes fit. If you are on the lower end of the height they both ride fine. But M will give you more playfulness and L will give you more speed. I possible test them both and decide what is best 4 you. There is no bad choice.

      Whats it Ride like when you hit the Speed limit ? is there Any drag When you pedal over it?
      Would you Recommend it as a Trail Bike ?I Was Thinking of getting one But its Exspensive and There is a 800wh Battery Coming Somtime But i Dont Know when its being Fitted ?Do you Know about that.

      @@Pete68T I am no big deal on YT, I only do this because I felt there was a lack of real life feedback. About the limiter, it felt easier to go above 25km/h on the flat than a Bosh CX motor. It's easy to pedal above 25km/h downhill.

    Bikeventure in Nederland is dealer van Nicolai en heeft ook een Demo Bike in de maat L mocht iemand een dealer zoeken. Dus je hoeft niet naar Duitsland toe zoals in de video gemeld wordt.

      Hallo, Ik spreek uit eigen ervaring uiteraard. Ik heb u trouwens gecontacteerd voor een testrit. Maar omdat er in de Nerderlanden weinig hoogteverschil is opteerde ik om Vincent te contacteren. Ondertussen kunnen we in België ook😉.
