I really hate the fact that The Suicide Squad has been pushed as a sort of Anti- Justice League team because that isn't what they're supposed to be. Also, it's insane how we've gotten more adaptations featuring/centering around them then the freaking Justice League!
Agreed, their fun to see but only in small batches and then being pushed to be anti league is obnoxious especially when that’s what the legion of doom is

Finding out the director for the Suicide Squad anime wanted to do a Flash anime but got shacked with the SS i genuinely upsetting....also I find it genuinely funny how Lego did the DC Villains fight the Justice League game premise better than a multimillion dollar "AAA" game
I liked Lego DC Super-Villains. Especially since they used a wide variety of villains from across the universe, even if it became the Batman villain show sometimes
I would have loved a Flash anime, or really an anime around any DC character that's not Superman or Batman or any other character that's been over-saturated.
@@BP-dn9nv to bad Suicide Squad Isekai is fun as hell so far, and even though it’s not technically an anime my adventures with Superman actually is going hard right now too.
I think my main issue is DC seems to have forgotten what the Squad is supposed to be in first place they’re not this last resort if the league fails (cause if they were there’d be more heavy hitters on the team) they’re just a bunch of highly skilled yet expendable criminals that the government has doing their dirty work for jobs too dangerous for real soldiers
I had this fun idea for a Suicide Squad game where you’d play as King Shark, Mr. Freeze, and Livewire along with lesser known villains being led by them being tasked to assassinate DC’s major villains while the Justice League are busy in space. Like imagine assassinating The Joker, Lex Luthor, Grodd, and Black Manta.
Funny how both of them ended up as well both first movies were shit cause the studio fucked with it & the second version of those movies were actually good cause they let the director do their job & not fuck with it 😂
I think the Amanda Waller addiction is even worse. Every 5 seconds she's doing some shit and she's always the mastermind behind something now The plot armor is crazy
Not really tbh, Waller serves her purpose to be in control of the squad or certain government based heros but not much else So for me I wouldn’t say she’s everywhere
@@DaveRedsky I'd say it depends, Nick Fury only became as relevant as he is today when Bendis started pushing him HARD back in the 2000's. He appeared in every comic Bendis wrote and when he did he'd completely steal the spotlight from them. As much as I love the reboot movie, they hired James Gunn on it for a reason. And as amazing a job as Gunn did, you can taste the studio’s desperation in his onboarding
Nowadays it feels like their portraying them as like a rag tag team of misfits banding together to save the day when really they're a black ops team of dangerous expandable criminals who get off if they don't do as theyre told
WB is treating Suicide Squad like that hot new toy that one annoying kid in the playground won't stop showing off to people for attention even when the other kids stop caring. It's gotten old, staying old and everyone sees it except them.
It’s crazy how we get so much Harley Quinn and suicide squad content when characters like Wonder Woman, flash, green lantern, night wing and the teen titans, green arrow, aqua man, etc don’t get any love. The amount of content Harley Quinn and the suicide squad gets should be what the rest of the characters should be getting, yet for some odd reason wb just keeps shoving down Harley Quinn down our throats when she’s really not that popular
SS have such a cool and creative idea...the problem is that they don't use it like they should. The SS is now a team like any other where only smaller characters dies.
Crazy how SS get more attention than Wonder woman or any of the milestone characters as well as other fan favorite characters still on the shelf collecting dust😂😂😂
DC needs to figure out how to make a good justice league movie before they even think about more suicide squad. The justice league SHOULD be bigger than the avengers but it isn’t.
X-Men and Fantastic Four should be, and used to be, bigger than The Avengers. But The Avengers are at least supposed to be a big deal, in the story. If the Avengers do what X-Men or Fantastic Four cannot, well Avengers have a god on their team, Thor! Ironman and Antman may not be as smart as Mister Fantastic, but the two of them together with, I don't know Captain Marvel and Captain America can probably come up with something he cannot by himself. They might not have all the mind powers of Professor X, but they have aliens with all sorts of weird stuff like Starfox. The Suicide Squad aren't even supposed to be a big deal in the story. They're supposed to be expendable, low level street criminals the government can plausibly deny having anything to do with in the event they get captured or killed, which they often do. The Guardians of The Galaxy are just that. However rag tag they may seem they have the most dangerous woman in the UNIVERSE, a guy who can jump through stars and a cosmic being's pet project on their roster. If they accomplish something X-Men or Fantastic Four don't that's not a knock on the X-Men or Fantastic Four. Even if Suicide Squad DOES become your big money maker, their status in the story doesn't have to change. Spider-Man is and always has been a bigger franchise than The Hulk. The very first time Spider-Man met The Hulk Spider-Man lost his temper and punched Hulk with all his might. His punch did absolutely nothing, because that's what made sense. Spider-Man wasn't the biggest money maker because he was the strongest guy who was the best at everything. He had clear limits and problems that made him fun! The Suicide Squad push is like the dumbass comic book writer who ignores thirty-forty-fifty years of precedent and has Spider-Man beat up The Hulk or the Firelord because he like Spider-Man better, without another writer to keep him in check by publishing another story next month highlighting how stupid that was.
They could also gradually build up to the next Justice League movie with a World's Finest, Brave and the Bold (I've heard those monikers used for Flash/GL) and whatever a Wonder Woman/Aquaman team-up might be called (Blue Bloods? The Sword and the Trident?).
@@tutorialslave "Royal Blood" is the most obvious, Blue Bloods implies they're "merely" nobility. I'd go for "Warrior Royals" though. Aquaman and Wonder Woman is going to sound a lot like "Wakanda Forever", purely due to circumstance. But as long as the urge to have the two superheroes and secluded societies fight each other is avoided I suppose comparisons can also mostly be avoided.
@tutorialslave agreed, they need to build up the hype to get fans invested. It's like they just expect us to show up no matter what they put out, which is stupid.
DC saw the success of Deadpool since his movie came out and basically just wanted to turn Harley Quinn into DC's version of him, I imagine that's why they push her so much, one of those: "Oh look, she kills people and makes jokes about it! Cool right?" They just think edgy=cool while forgetting that it wasn't JUST the R rating that made Deadpool successful
Actually, the time before the Deadpool movie and The Suicide Squad movie came out in 2016, Harley Quinn was already at that point the 3rd most popular character after Batman and Superman in the comics.
There’s been more Suicide Squad related projects in the last 8 years, than projects for Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, The JLA, Nightwing, or the Titans…..let that sink in
@@AdamYJ considering that Guardians of the Galaxy was less known then one of the first Superheroes/the First Sidekick. Or Kiteman. Or the Eternals. Moon Knight. Even The Punisher and Howard The Duck got movies before any in the general public knew of their existence. I see absolutely no reason why god Dickie Boy couldn’t make a splash either
Agreed, or if they just need the suicide squad to kill the Justice League, have the option to save one of the members and get a different ending depending on which hero you saved. It would be the most ideal option if we have to absolutely kill the justice league, but a game about the justice league would be infinitely better
And the thing about that I don’t understand is why they trying to make it a thing. Every movie flop, the game flop. People tell them every time we don’t care about it. I don’t understand how they have been more représentation of Harley queen than any robin in the last 20 years
The first movie didn't flop. Like the movie had a bad reception. But financially it was aa success. And the second movie didn't flop either if we count streaming. Box Office got screwed over by the pandemic and said streaming. So the numbers are clearly telling them that people care about it.
@@jbbrolicIkr BVS is more offensive cause that was a full movie that WB didn’t interfere with that much Suicide Squad (2016) was god awful cause the movie was about 90% done then the studio saw how much people hated BVS & came in reworked a the entire movie to be a Deadpool rip off.
@@Brotherofthe4thCompany I'm responding to "at the time worst." At the time (2016) BvS was worse than Suicide Squad. Now it's almost impossible to choose the worst because so many of these movies are so bad.
The entire point of the suicide squad is that they’re a covert ops team that likely will not survive the mission. Setting them up as the seal team that can beat Superman is just incorrect.
I absolutely love the suicide squad but I hate the modern versions of them. I hate the Harley, Deadshot, Boomerang and big monster versions. Give me Clock King and Hunky Punk.
Tbh, Deadshot is the leader of the Squad. He should be there. However, we all know he’ll probably survive whatever happens so it’s best to have someone else lead.
Deadshots probably one of the only human members of the team who actually seems like he could defend himself. I absolutely love Harley and captain boomerang, but they rarely actually have displayed skill sets and just beat characters for the sake of doing so. Harley’s acrobatic but that’s rarely displayed anymore
Yea bro give me some condiment king action like😭 and I wish the game was more black ops spy shit, go out of bounds and Waller kills you, you can kill each other, and overall it should’ve been a chaotic game imo
What made Harley Quinn so interesting for me was the fact that she wasn’t front & center. I love the fact that she was a sidekick to one of the infamous villains. Now they’re trying to make her this annoying redemption character & it’s just not it.
I've never been that interested in Suicide Squad. Harley Quinn never made sense as a member. She has no powers. She's a mildly skilled regular fighter with a baseball bat. Why is she with all these super powered characters?
The Sqaud used to be cool, but now DC has got lazy and just uses the exact same team in every project. Like the cool thing was they were always changing because members were dying, meaning you never knew who was gonna survive. Now you know Harley is 100% making it whenever you see her.
*WHY* do they keep pretending Suicide Squad is this juggernaut franchise? Its not even close to the X-Men, let alone Guardians of the Galaxy. I love the second movie (the 2016 movie is straight trash) but that can't be the only reason we get new content for this series every other year
The first movie made a profit, and the second movie apparently had the second biggest opening weekend on HBO Max. And Peacemaker also did pretty well. If anything the numbers are telling them that the public likes the Suicide Squad. But DC is doing what they do best and just hyper focusing on a single property.
@@Magnet_ChaosFirst movie is the first major introduction and when people saw it, it failed critically, hence why the next movie was a flop, the game was a flop, and streaming doesn’t determine success when a shitty documentary like cleopatra on Netflix had a lot of people watching too. peacemaker people mostly watched because Jon cena , but other than that, Suicide Squad is a major failure as a franchise
@@davemac9563 It wasn't that big of a flop of it somehow convinced WB to greenlit a video game, an anime, and 2 spinoffs. lol I'm not saying the franchise didn't flop and they didn't drop the ball all the way down to China. But the interest WAS there for them to even try to push it.
I'm fully convinced just about everyone in this comment section could come up with a more cohesive, and entertaining 10 year road map for DC films, games, animation and TV than the people who are being paid millions to do exactly that
The group named the "Suicide Squad" lasting this long. Is that them being ironic or do they not even notice? Is the appeal that they're a Justice League who kills? Because that's just the Justice League in the DCEU anyway, right? Waller's about to become even more ubiquitous with that footage of her anime self throwing it back like she's the Flash to a VTuber's song making the rounds.
IKR? The original Suicide Squad had two Batman villains as regulars: Bronze Tiger and Deadshot. (A few showed up now and then, including the Penguin, but never more than three bat villains at once.) And the mysterious hacker known as Oracle (who isn't so mysterious now, I guess). They even had someone from Apokolips (who ultimately betrayed the team, then pissed off Darkseid and died for it).
The roster back in the day was varied. At some point Green Arrow's partner Speedy was in there and also Vixen. The Penguin was even put in the mix at one point. The only constant members back in the day were Capt. Boomerang, Deadshot, Bronze Tiger, Plastique and a few others.
You know something crazy? SSKTJL came out in Feb 2024. For giggles, I decided to look up the top 50 best selling comics (US) for Feb 2024 to see if DC was capitalizing or promoting this game with their comics. Here's what I found, the best selling comics for DC were: Batman, Justice League vs Godzilla vs Kong, Wonder Woman, Nightwing, World's Finest, Superman, Birds of Prey, Green Lantern, Titans, Poison Ivy, and Batman and Robin. 🤔 Whose's missing? Oh right, the Suicide Squad. And they had a book but it didn't sell as well. Hmm...
The Suicide Squad gets pushed more than the Justice League I swear, it's kinda annoying that a team of losers is getting more love than their biggest hero team and Waller is getting way too much attention and focus
The Suicide Squad has SEVERAL problems: - the fact that the team was supposed to be used by Waller to perform a series of undercover tasks for the government of the United States NOT big battles across the multiverse against way too powerful enemies - the members should be expendable, if i see Harley Quinn or Deadshot or Captain Boomerang i know they'll survive, it worked for Boomerang and Deadshot in the first Post Crisis iteration of the group cause NOBODY gave a crap about those 2 in the second half of the 80's ... DC comics could literally take characters from the 40's and create at least 10 different iterations of the squad without a problem - the team should have variety in the roster, there was an iteration of the SS with Deathstroke, Deadshot, Black Manta, Harley Quinn and Joker's daughter... WTF is this? Why do you need 3 extremely skilled bounty hunters and 2 crazy chicks? Use villains that can control time, tech experts, magic users, mob bosses, elemental gimmick villains and so on - Harley, as any other mental unstable villain, shouldn't be part of the SS. That's why in the Ostrander's run the only Batman villains that were used were Penguin and Deadshot (in fact when captured they go to Blackgate not Arkham), that's literally the basic plot of one of Poison Ivy's best stories (Pavane), the fact that due to her mental instability she'll be brought to Arkham and not Blackgate where she could have been taken into consideration for the SS. Having mentally unstable villains might compromise the mission, especially if you're not sure that, even with a bomb in the neck, they'll follow your rules - Waller has received the Maxwell Lord's treatment: once a grey character with a deeper and more complex personality turned into a basic government evil character by lesser writers
@@NHTube1 Chronos was part of the SS way before the reinvention of the team during New52, i think guys like the Time Commander could fit perfectly. As for the magic users i didn't mean a villain with Doctor Fate level of magic powers
I’ve always felt DC pushed the Suicide Squad to somehow compete with Guardians of the Galaxy Except at least Marvel didn’t let the GotG overtake the Avengers like DC like the SS overtake the Justice League
WB is always the type of company who milks the shit out of everything that are remotely profitable and trash anything that aren't. The fact that they thought continuing the Arkham series by killing its protagonist so they could have their own 10 year long cash cow machine that is ssktjl speaks volume on how out of touch the higher ups on WB are. Despite being optimistic about Gunn helming DCU, WB themselves are the problem.
@@ralphdary7050 It's DC and WB's fault for giving The Rock so much control and power over the franchise, when he had absolutely no right to. They just saw his box office returns and got greedy and it blew up on them spectacularly.
Harley Quinn. To a lesser extent, Peacemaker. To be fair, the JLA are not pushed equally either. Batman tends to get the lion's share of promotions, while Aquaman has traditionally gotten less (before Jason Momoa, of course), and Martian Manhunter is just sorta there in adaptations.
@@jonbrewer297 Margot Robbie to be exact, and John Cena. The actors they got for those 2 characters have had such an influence on DC and how it views the characters now. I really gotta wonder where DC and WB got the idea that Suicide Squad would be a billion-dollar franchise. It seems pretty crazy even by clueless executive standards.
I almost feel like the extreme push for Harley is to try and make her some kind of DC Deadpool. Snarky 4th wall breaker who can be used to deconstruct the genre and point and laugh at how ridiculous superheroes are. Oh my god someone FINALLY makes a video on this subject. Suicide Squad 2016 made the team this "unstoppable force". So many comics, a video game and ANOTHER (actually good) movie. Harley and Waller has so much plot armor its insane. The fact that Waller is still alive rn in comics after everything she did is just dumb
With the current Absolute power event going on, I think we're finally gonna see her either get killed or lose her power and influence after the heroes win, because I don't see them letting her go after what she is pulling off
I personally believe that the reason why Suicide Squad has been pushed so much is due to not only DC and WB wanting their own Guardians of the Galaxy, but also because of a trend I have seen with some modern day writers and writing teams, and this later reason is very aparent in this year's major flop, Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League. Now why? Simple, these modern writers, do not like superheroes. They simply don't, they want to write about the outcasts, the villains, the ones that have tragic pasts. The Suicide Squad game, its writing, it treats and writes the titular Justice League as a bunch of absolute bastards, and treats their respective deaths as either nothing important, or with complete lack of respect. Captain Boomerang about to piss on Flash's corpse only to turn that into a "haha moment" about how big his dick is, "Deadshot" having convoluted beef with Green Lantern, with GL acting like a power tripping cop, his ring seen and writen as just a simple tool and having him be stripped naked except for a silly pair of Green Lantern trunks because it's funny right? Superman just being casually tossed aside without any build up or relevancy, just another chump out, and of course the contempt in Batman's death, Harley saying he caused emotional trauma on criminals, which is filthy fucking rich coming from Harley. Hell, even in the Harley Quinn show this is apparent, and while yes the show is meant to be a comedy it still should also respect some of the characters they adapt. Look at how they turned Nightwing into basically an insecure dude whose only punchline is how big of an ass he has. Hell speaking of, how can we forget the time they gave him amnesia in the comics? That was a fun time wasn't it? These modern writers HATE superheroes, they hate the good guys, they are the types to look at the idea of an evil Superman and think that is peak writing. They're nihilistic, pessimistic, they prefer the morally grey instead of someone who fights for good even in a messed up world because it's the right thing to do. And it is sad to see that, it really is. Heroes are fun, they inspire us, they show us the right path and to keep fighting in spite of it all. But of course, as long as we have these individuals up there making these stories under clueless executives we will continue to be served slop.
Yeah, I've been wanting them to adapt the Bat family. Build them up, but the only adaptation of Robin we get is that Titans show or Teen Titans Go. It's so edgy that it's cringe or made into a complete joke.
The main problem with Amanda Waller is that she is just a very static character, that doesn’t really grow or change in fact the opposite she is more used a plot device to develop other characters like James Gunn Peacemaker and Suicide to highlight the differences between the character we care about and corrupt government officials that only care about themselves like Amanda. I think you could do something interesting with Waller like what Red vs blue the web series did with the Director aka Dr Leonard Church honesty you just need to watch the Season 6 ending to really understand his character and how similar he is to Waller but does a great job of humanizing him
I still think its hilarious for Amanda Waller to send Harley, Cpt. Boomerang and Deadshot to the forefront of SS:KTJL, like King Shark I get, but Deadshot? Bro keep him as far as possible he's a sniper, like the support role he should be. Boomerang and Harley shouldn't even be here bruh they're just normal people w/o a particularly useful skill lmao. Killer Croc, Grundy, Clayface, Bane and Deathstroke exists in the arkham verse. Throw them in the field. Hell you have Scarecrows fear toxins, use them.
I wouldn’t say “irredeemable”, at least that’s not what the og Batman TAS suggested. But making her a full on goody clown shoes heroine strips her all of the appeal. They even gave her a ridiculous bat costume in that hq show: WB made her into budget Batman lmao.
I agree, she’s not a hero at all despite being pushed as one. She kinda simply just backed off from murdering people, and that’s mainly because she realized that joker treats her badly and doesn’t like her. It seems she doesn’t stop because of the fact that mass killing innocent people for fun with your crush is just supremely wrong, no, its mainly because she finally realizes that the clearly evil killer clown doesn’t like her treats her bad. The main focus is always that she’s a victim, and that she needs to recognize that she’s in a toxic relationship in order to realize that the relationship is wrong. Only then that’s when she moves on to doing whatever she wants but is treated almost like a hero for it. She’s treated as some innocent quirky person. So many people talk up a storm about how Joker should die, but then turn around and act like Harely has done no wrong.
Also come to think of it, I now realize that if Joker never treated Harely bad, and instead actually loved and cared for Harley, then Harley would’ve happily continued doing brutal crimes with the Joker like how she always does. She wouldn’t have left. Not that Joker WOULD genuinly do any of that stuff, but I’m just saying hypothetically, Harely would’ve never stopped if joker did genuinly treat her well.

I head that she apparently didn’t know lois was pregnent and that she tried to shrug Superman off by saying “oh you were suppose to save the day!”. But even if she feels bad about killing Lois and didn’t know Lois was pregnant, there are probaby 10s of 100s of other pregnant women that got nuked thanks to her and Joker.
I remember getting annoyed that injustice 2 dlc wasted a slot on enchantress, and it was obvious they added deadshot and redesigned the joker to have synergy with the suicide squad movie. The fact that these guys have more attention than the teen titans sucks.
Joker should've been dead anyway. And Scarecrow according to the comics where Batman explicitly said Crane died. But nope, joker came back.... For one scene and battle and Scarecrow's alive somehow and with "superpowers" that's more like from his opponent's pov than because he actually has them.
Exactly, and not to mention some of the other characters that really didn’t even need to be in the game and you could have replaced them with other characters for main story or dlc. I would have loved to have characters like Batgirl (Barbara Gordon), Martian Manhunter, Plastic Man, Superboy, Wonder Girl, Red Robin, Static and Raven, rather than characters like Atrocitus, Joker, Enchantress, and Raiden.
I think we'll get a break from The Suicide Squad as I doubt the actual team will be used in the DCU due to the events of Peacemaker S1. That being said they could have similar teams like Checkmate etc
The real suicide squad problem is DC doesn't know how to use them properly and the only reason DC keeps throwing the suicide squad into our faces is so as to promote Harley Quinn.
I’m so sick of seeing the Suicide Squad in every DC media. They’re like the plague, you can’t get away from em. The Justice League and Teen Titans deserve way more screen time than D-List villains.
That Justice League stinger with the Legion of Doom ages ago was completely pointless since all roads lead to Amanda Waller, Peacekeeper, Harley Quinn, and the rest of the Suicide Squad now. Thanks, WB!

I’d like to disagree on Deadshot. I think his story works pretty well. A mercenary who, from what I’ve seen, has some sense of morality. The guy is a natural born leader and only wants what’s best for his daughter. And King Shark is adorable
You are absolutely correct. The game would have been AMAZING with Sinestro, Gorilla Grodd, etc. The Suicide Squad and Amanda Waller are cool but it's become over saturated while other fantastic characters get sidelined
If Super Crooks hadn't already done the super-powered heist movie, that would've been a good take on the Rogues. Something like Oceans Elevens meets Reservoir Dogs.
I am personally tired of the suicide squad and frankly i need a break from them, and it drives me crazy that out of all the characters who still refuse to get there own game like say I don't know like superman who really deserves his own game from the very start way more then the Suicide Squad ever did at least in my opinion. Also side note i really think dc needs to seriously stop using the suicide squad for everything and just let other characters fly like the justice league deserve there own game more then ever especially now, and also the teen titans and of course the biggest one for me besides superman is well the super sons with both Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy as his little 10 year old self and Damian Wayne robin who are personally for me my all time favorite team who also deserve there own game too and seeing them as a team in a video game would be really awesome and badass but if not then maybe Green lantern could get a mass effect style game which would be really awesome and badass in my opinion.
It's a byproduct of modern writers embracing an extremely cynical and nihilistic worldview in their writing. The Suicide Squad is the epitome of this phenomena. You're meant to root for serial murderers, hitmen, and literal monsters because they frame the stories in some kind of anti-system, anti-government sentiment. This is fine if the protagonist's intentions are morally good, like Captain America in The Winter Soldier, the squad's motivation boils down to, "lets blow shit up" so you have no foundation to latch on to. It seems now writers see more good in the villains that work to tear down the systems of society instead of the heroes who fight to uphold it, because the writers see society as corrupt beyond repair so fuck it, anarchy. It's pure nihilism in a genre that's generally the antithesis of it. This has been an issue with a lot of DC's writing as of late.
Yeah, something similar happened with the X-Men. They turned into racist plant people who left humanity to form their own nation. Completely abandoning their goal of tolerance and mutants intergrating into society.

I'll be honest: I've only read one Suicide Squad comic (The Banana Splits team-up), so I don't know much comic history about them, but with the 2016 movie, the 2021 soft-reboot-sequelish movie, the abysmal Kill The Justice League, and whatever else is out there... I just have no interest, because WB has oversaturated them and botched them countless time! (Outside of the 2021 movie, a movie I don't care for, but I acknowledge it's the better movie) They've literally focused more and more on the Suicide Squad than the ACTUAL DC superhero team with the Justice League! Outside of Harley Quinn, a vast majority of people don't care about the squad, unless you're a diehard fan, and even then, aren't the fans getting sick of seeing the squad everywhere? Also, I'm not sure if WB knows this, so I'm gonna just drop thi- THERE ARE OTHER VILLAIN TEAMS!! Hell, you have an iconic villain team with the Legion of Doom, and outside of a post credit scene, NOTHING has been done with them! Basically... screw the squad, let the Legion of Doom have the spotlight for freaking once!
I think Katana is such a slept on character.. if they’re going to have a bunch of SS projects at least include her! Heck, even a standalone project would do well imo!!

and they act like its hard to do or even figure out when even the lego games do better than the main ones. Fans have been crying for games for characters we actually care about for long enough now,and WB gives us anything but those games
The Suicide Squad works in smaller doses. I wouldn't mind a Suicide Squad game, but as DLC extension. WB is trying to mske them the Guardians of the Galaxy as loveable screw-ups but that's not Task Force X. They aren't good people are the typecof group to help topple of governments rather than save the day.
The one mistake out of the Batman animated series was the creation of Harley. “Nah bro sit down ain’t no way” I’m being absolutely serious. Was she interesting in that show? Yeah. But then they immediately afterwards started doing things with her nobody liked. My first beef was her sleeping with Nightwing. Why the hell would dick Grayson settle for her even as a booty call in a hundred years? She stood for everything he was against and it made him seem weak willed as hell. Then they tried to make it seem like she wasn’t a super ultra mega fan of joker wanting to grind up against a grandpa just because he had a fragment of jokers conscience. After awhile they started pretending she was even half as interesting as joker himself and started pretending she could not only outsmart him, she could also beat him easily at every turn. The character had one decent run and ever since then morons like Kevin smith started pretending she was a gift from the gods. I can’t stress enough how hard I roll my eyes every time I see her. She’s the female Guy Gardener.
Harley is BAD. Let me ask you, when did we get a good and interesting Harley since BTAS? She's always unfunny, stealing attention from more interesting characters and being overly sexualized. She's become a joke, redundant and only meant to sell views for trailers?
I really hate the fact that The Suicide Squad has been pushed as a sort of Anti- Justice League team because that isn't what they're supposed to be. Also, it's insane how we've gotten more adaptations featuring/centering around them then the freaking Justice League!

Cool right?"
They just think edgy=cool while forgetting that it wasn't JUST the R rating that made Deadpool successful

Batman, Justice League vs Godzilla vs Kong, Wonder Woman, Nightwing, World's Finest, Superman, Birds of Prey, Green Lantern, Titans, Poison Ivy, and Batman and Robin.

I would take a Martian man Hunter project over any squad project any day
They barely acknowledge Bronze Tiger, and he was one of their first team members.
Its still hilarious to me that the best suicide squad adaptation we've gotten, was a single episode of justice league unlimited.
The Suicide Squad has SEVERAL problems:
- the fact that the team was supposed to be used by Waller to perform a series of undercover tasks for the government of the United States NOT big battles across the multiverse against way too powerful enemies
- the members should be expendable, if i see Harley Quinn or Deadshot or Captain Boomerang i know they'll survive, it worked for Boomerang and Deadshot in the first Post Crisis iteration of the group cause NOBODY gave a crap about those 2 in the second half of the 80's ... DC comics could literally take characters from the 40's and create at least 10 different iterations of the squad without a problem
- the team should have variety in the roster, there was an iteration of the SS with Deathstroke, Deadshot, Black Manta, Harley Quinn and Joker's daughter... WTF is this? Why do you need 3 extremely skilled bounty hunters and 2 crazy chicks? Use villains that can control time, tech experts, magic users, mob bosses, elemental gimmick villains and so on
- Harley, as any other mental unstable villain, shouldn't be part of the SS.
Having mentally unstable villains might compromise the mission, especially if you're not sure that, even with a bomb in the neck, they'll follow your rules
- Waller has received the Maxwell Lord's treatment: once a grey character with a deeper and more complex personality turned into a basic government evil character by lesser writers
Villains that control time and magic users are FAR too powerful to be on The Suicide Squad

DC thinking they have their own GOTG in there hands with Suicide Squad, and making sure you don't forget it.
It's weird that their being pushed as an anti-villan leugue as well when their litrally pshcopaths and killers
The Suicide Squad thrives more in relatively grounded black ops missions rather then stuff like the Isekai series
Dc has so many Superheroes like Captain Atom and others but no, they are punished too much suicide squad stuff
I think you could do something interesting with Waller like what Red vs blue the web series did with the Director aka Dr Leonard Church honesty you just need to watch the Season 6 ending to really understand his character and how similar he is to Waller but does a great job of humanizing him
The scene I’m taking about

It actually makes me shake that DC want Harley as the 4th member of the trinity.
No flash, GL, Nightwing you try to push harley
The Legion of Doom erasure.. 😭
I'm mostly sick of seeing Harley Quinn, especially in later media trying to make her a "Hero" when we know damn well she isn't redeemable.
@@anotherrandomguy8871 that girl nuked metropolis to oblivion in injustice and somehow I should feel bad for her… no way. Did I also mention she kidnapped a pregnant woman then proceeded to participate in the murder of both the mother and the unborn infant? Good times, good times.
@@kail4997 oh yeah, Injustice Harley is pretty bad in terms devious of crimes. I head that she apparently didn’t know lois was pregnent and that she tried to shrug Superman off by saying “oh you were suppose to save the day!”. She does all this, but is treated as a Robin in the second game.
@@xanderg.1070 Raiden is perhaps a case of readily available, and some are mad that this almost spiralled into MK vs DC 2
I think we'll get a break from The Suicide Squad as I doubt the actual team will be used in the DCU due to the events of Peacemaker S1. That being said they could have similar teams like Checkmate etc
Suicide Squad wants to be the Guardians of the Galaxy version of DC so badly
The real suicide squad problem is DC doesn't know how to use them properly and the only reason DC keeps throwing the suicide squad into our faces is so as to promote Harley Quinn.
Dc has a suicide squad problem? No way
I’m so sick of seeing the Suicide Squad in every DC media. They’re like the plague, you can’t get away from em. The Justice League and Teen Titans deserve way more screen time than D-List villains.
The suicide squad game dropped the ball to not use the Justice Lords or CSA as the main antagonistic groups.
That Justice League stinger with the Legion of Doom ages ago was completely pointless since all roads lead to Amanda Waller, Peacekeeper, Harley Quinn, and the rest of the Suicide Squad now. Thanks, WB!
Kinda wild they trying to make the leading women for dc harley quinn a character who's whole thing is being in a abusive relationship tho she does get out of it...until she's in another one
It's weird too because I don't even think anyone LIKES the Suicide Squad that much.
At this point I feel like WB is allergic to making justice league projects
The Suicide Squad was cool back when they were obscure. Pushing them as hard as DC is just makes them way less appealing
It’s like how marvel pushed the guardians of the galaxy to be a thing, having it show up everywhere else now.
Except, the guardians are awesome
Si y fue James gunn los que los hizo increíbles
"Do Better" Yeah. DC/WB aint got any concept of how that is a thing anymore.
*Teen Titans in Another World in Japan* be like:
1. *Robin* - Ninja (His Skills)
2. *Raven* - Youkai Courtesan (Her Demonic Essence)
3. *Cyborg* - Samurai (Mechanical Parts to conserve his Electricity)
4. *Starfire* - Daimyo Princess (Worshipped like the second coming of Princess Kaguya cause she can fly LOL)
5. *Beast Boy* - Tries to hide himself as much as possible as he has Green Skin. (Probably the Horse pulling the Carriage with the Team and their Essential Supplies in their Journey)
*The Enemy:*
1. *Slade Wilson AKA Deathstroke:* The Shogun who has gone against the Emperor of Japan and taking over territories of each daimyo.
2. *Terra Markov* - Slade's Right Hand Force leading the Shogun Samurai Army of Soldiers wearing a Mask of black and orange.
3. *Brother Blood:* The other Shogun also seeking to take over Japan with his own Army of his own Army of Exceptional Generals with Unique Powers to cover for a Smaller Army to gap the difference in Strength.
4. *The BRAIN:* The other Skull Shogun more Brutal with no remorse to life, absolutely running a Slave Army to fight as Fanatics.
5. The *HIVE* Team as a Mid Boss for the Team to fight to free a City in their Journey.
It's like a Battle Royale Free for All Warring States like period.
And the Teen Titans have to save Japan by defeating all three of the Warring Factions to stop the War from ruining the people's lives.
Using the Original Teen Titans of 2003-06 Characters.
This is my Plan if I was in Control of DC Comics... Which I am not unfortunately.
Sir I'm gonna need you to get back in the kitchen and keep cooking 🤔
Once again Wonder Girl and Kid Flash are left out....
Also ironically Dc is having a japan au for the justice league and Robin is there though its Damian.
You can dream but that dream can become reality if you have study and the cunning to replace the current CEOs who know and do not care about entertainment.
Iunno not feeling a weeb version of the Titans. But this isn't a bad idea and you put a lot of thought into it
Pues el mejor que el juego donde matan a la liga de la justicia
I’d like to disagree on Deadshot. I think his story works pretty well. A mercenary who, from what I’ve seen, has some sense of morality. The guy is a natural born leader and only wants what’s best for his daughter. And King Shark is adorable
You are absolutely correct. The game would have been AMAZING with Sinestro, Gorilla Grodd, etc. The Suicide Squad and Amanda Waller are cool but it's become over saturated while other fantastic characters get sidelined
Can DC give more spotlight to the Rogues? They act more like GOTG than the Suicide Squad.
If Super Crooks hadn't already done the super-powered heist movie, that would've been a good take on the Rogues. Something like Oceans Elevens meets Reservoir Dogs.
Harley has become DC’s Wolverine: overused and overextended, at the expense of other interesting characters.
Ostrander’s comic series truly was when the Squad peaked.
Still can't believe they cancelled the black canary project 😭
Completely abandoning their goal of tolerance and mutants intergrating into society.
and that’s cuz of how the us government has failed the people
Arrow season 2 featuring TSS in one episode
Batman: Assault on Arkham
Suicide Squad 2016
Suicide Squad: hell to pay
THE Suicide Squad 2021
The Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
The Suicide Squad isekai
Maaaaaaan, they have had more itirations than Matian Manhunter and Green Lantern combined in their whole existence
I want a break from not only suicide squad but Batman as well because we want more Superman, Wonder Woman , green lantern , flash , aquaman , Martian manhunter and many more
Facts
Give me my Martian Manhunter content for the love of God.
Fr hope we get a movie because he was my top 3 favorite superheroes in the justice league unlimited show
@@jackjones9054 He's just so cool, he combines being a super powerful and useful hero, with also having everything you'd want in a support hero too.
In so many different adaptations the MM is responsible for bringing the Justice League together, why didn't they just go with that?
Jon Jones his human appearance is often depicted as black, so him going round recruiting the Justice League would have perfectly copied Marvel which is all DC/WB seem interested in doing.
Copying but somehow getting everything wrong.
naa i want plastic man
It generally feels like DC goes all in by a fuck-ton on anything that is remotely popular/successful 'recently' and let anything else fall to the wayside, making the entire DC Universe in of itself and as an IP feel small.
Still not as bad as Star Wars
@@Hello-bi1pm irrelevant. DC is still shit. Stop tryna make something look good by comparing it to something worse. Star Wars isn’t even relevant to this conversation. Why even bring it up? Because you have nothing to say and just needed a subject changer. You’ve added nothing to this conversation and nothing you said disproves OP. You are literally nothing but filler here. Take a seat, young Skywalker.
Suicide What? 🤨 You mean Harley Quinn's and friends?🤔
My favourite adaptation of the SS is the animated version from Suicide Squad assault on Arkham, mainly because it provides every character a time to shine and do what the squad was meant for. That being shady shit Amanda Waller wants but can’t be seen doing. That and how it was the best adaptation of Deadshot.
(Outside of the 2021 movie, a movie I don't care for, but I acknowledge it's the better movie)
They've literally focused more and more on the Suicide Squad than the ACTUAL DC superhero team with the Justice League!
List of characters I want to see get some shine Kyle Rayner/Green Lantern, Zantanna, Firestorm, Static etc.
Cómo ya han dicho otras personas en los comentarios, el escuadrón suicida se convirtió en los guardianes de la galaxia.
I think Katana is such a slept on character.. if they’re going to have a bunch of SS projects at least include her! Heck, even a standalone project would do well imo!!
SO ANNOYED that they're going into this weird phase of obsession with Harley Quinn & the Suicide Squad.....before they even get their feet off the ground with the BASE JUSTICE LEAGUE!!!!! JUST SO STUPID!!!
Gosh I still cant believe WB and Rocksteady thought SSKITJL would make a billlion dollars 😂 did they really think wedd like that ? We waited a decade for that game, we coudve gotten a new batmam arkham game, or a supergame or even a flash game, but NO we get this, and also they still coudve made SSKITJL a great game but they fumbled it 😂 gosh I miss old Rocksteady
and they act like its hard to do or even figure out when even the lego games do better than the main ones.
DC can get rid of Suicide Squad...and take away Jon Cena while they're at it.
More like Harley Quinn, featuring other DC villains
Why is Amanda Waller getting her own show when she isn't even a superhero
What about green lantern? Beast boy
Supergirl
Bruhhh
I am now fed up with Marvel & DC
I want other Comic Universe to grow for example: Valiant, Image & Dark Horse
Green lantern tendrá su propia serie
@@ineedpowers5151Me too
Best part of assault an Arkham was deadshot shooting a rocket at Waller. Idk how they possibly thought her own spinoff was a good idea.
My boys Shinning Knight and vigilante(Greg Sanders) from the DCAU will always be a Underrated duo in my opinion.
You should definitely rank all the DC shows cartoons and live action someday from worst to best
0:42 I do. I am tired of the squad. Just show dome love to the Justice league members other than Batman.
