Well they do whatever brings them that bag & most money is brought in by people who actually don’t enjoy comics. That’s why Batman is everywhere. At this point he is more of a pop cultural icon than a superhero.
especially the DC trinity, like man, they're not just their A tier heroes, they've been the whole world's most known and beloved heroes since ever, and the only thing that's been done for them in the past years is the tarnishing of their reputation.
Are you serious ,they had the guy whom played Nagen (come to think of it i can't imagine a more fit cast for that version of Batman) and went naah "CUT" 🤦♂
Petition for your next DC Hates and Disrespects video to be on Martian Manhunter. Poor guy got kicked out of being a founding member of the League in favour of Cyborg, a literal Teen Titan.
@@CagedPhoenixThe1st The issue is people were tuning in to see Barry Allen run around and stop crime as the Flash. Half of the time Barry wasn’t even the main character of the episodes
@@_moegreen5770 for a show to center around one character for an hour long block, is kinda tough. I think it's nice when it's showcased, that you can't do everything on your own.
It’s crazy to me how Flash’s main villains are a guy with a ice gun, and his buddy with a flamethrower yet every recent version only uses flash as the continuity maguffin
Flash discovered earth 2 in golden age, created new 52, stopped crisis in infinite earth, outrun death of 30 years. He was made for big crossover event only. His own stories were always bad, let's not sugarcoat it. He has his moments in Justice League and he ia the protagonist who saved the day in every crisis event, that's it
I swear WB just hates DC characters, especially in the DCEU. Diana is a r@pist in WW84, Aquaman got drunk and fell into a dirty puddle in Flash, Batman was humiliated in JL, Superman is a violent and cold asshole in BvS.
I genuinely think Polka dot man and Peacemaker might be the only characters who came out of the DCEU in a better state than before they were introduced
The Flash death in the Injustice movie REALLY pissed me off, but what made it worse is that his death didn't affect the film at all. No one even mentioned him after he died. You could've cut out his death and the film would've been practically the same. WTF, writers?
You gotta do one for my boy Martian Manhunter. He's been sitting high and dry for the longest time. There's so much lore and so many villains with untapped potential that can/could be talked about.
@@zzirfamo24 Nah, the problem with that is that he was in Supergirl... I ain't shitting on the show, Im saying he need his own shit. I get the live action movies cause they cost so much, but even the animated movies keep focusing on teh same shit... Batman, Superman, JL. There's 52 Superman (animated) movies, 187 Batman movies, and like 2 GL movies, 2 WW movies, and even the Flash movie is actually a JL movie. Hell, Justice League Dark has more movies than most of the actual JL solo member movies outside of the big three. Also, I guess they do step out a little bit. I dunno, I just want a Hawkgirl & Hawkman movie, a Manhunter movie, a proper Flash movie, and an Aquaman movie that makes him look like a badass like he did in the JL 2000s cartoon. Sorry, minirant over
I hate how the only story that's ever being told with the Flash is either something involving the multiverse or timetravel with him also being used as an easy universe reboot button. Seriously, I would kill for a Flash movie that would actually showcase Barry or Wally or whoever actually protecting Central City!
@pedanticcat9479 But having Flash protect Central City is boring. Ever since Avengers, everything has to have over the top bombastic steaks, unless you're Batman apparently.
@@ronathan02 While it is true that I haven't read a Flash comic since I was like 4, I was being sarcastic and poking fun as executive mandates. Because that's how it feels, as every superhero movie after Avengers has to have some huge bombastic threat because executives think that simple low level steaks are boring. When in reality as it is now, it'd be a breath of fresh air.
Hey a little known fact a RUclipsr named Godzilla Mendoza went on Twitter and asked a bunch of people if Captain boomerang would do anything like that and somebody showed a comic scene where flash had died and one of the other villains tried to take off his mask and boomerang yells at him to respect the dead
Depends on the writer, the Boomerang from the original Suicide Squad run would absolutely do that. Very often he's characterised as someone with no moral scruples who unfortunately always manages to survive. I think a scene like what they did could work if they played more into that idea of the whole team hating Boomerang throughout the story but being stuck with him, that'd require some actual dynamic between the team though and we all know that's not and never was an option here
One of the problems I see with how dc use Barry Allen is that they seem to only use him/have a major or leading role whenever the story is about multiverse or rebooting the timeline. Outside of the CW show (for the most part) Barry seems to be the star whenever DC needs to reboot their universe. With flashpoint being the biggest example of this. And the funny thing about it is, Flashpoint was originally never meant to be the key for dc to reboot into the New52. It was supposed to be a simple Flash story, with having Barry coming to terms with the fact his origins and world around him have changed since he was dead, because those who made not know, up until Crisis on Infinite Earths, Barry’s mom was still alive, the change with having Reverse Flash killing his mother wasn’t part of Barry’s origin until 2009 by Geoff Johns, when Barry was brought back. And thing is, if you ignore it for being a way to reboot the DC universe, Flashpoint is a good flash story, but the problem is that DC only sees it as an escape goat to reboot their universe.
Nah Zoom was different levels of COLD. In early CW flash imagine getting your ass beat and then your OP parades your body around to the city you're supposed to protect as a "IS THIS YOUR KING" moment absolute savagery😂
@@MisterDriskul the more embarrassing thing is that he’s a SPEEDSTER and died to a GUNSHOT 😂 Iris getting to do it was poetic, but the METHOD? Please, how is he not the laughingstock of the show’s villain roster
Flash in the comics: can bend the laws of physics utilizing the speed force in almost every way, can create solid constructs with energy, leader of the flash family, very intelligent, can predict outcome in a matter of seconds. Flash in films: completely nerfed, not fast enough, makes stupid decisions, never uses his scientific knowledge, takes advice from non speedsters like cisco, iris, Caitlin joe etc and hardly has any team ups with the flash family. Warner bros definitely has something against the flash💯
Honestly, you only need one thing to keep a speedster from being too OP: don't give them instantaneous reaction time. Let them run fast and fight fast, but make them stop from time to time in order to look around and reevaluate things. He blurs down the road, but then has to stop for a heartbeat at the intersection to turn and take off in a new direction. He can outrun bullets, but only if he sees the gun being aimed and can react to it. It keeps the excitement and thrill of speed, but stops them from being able to just win every fight instantly.
@@Artemus973 It pisses me off because he legit is one of the greatest characters in fiction. Modern writers these days butcher the character for the sake of social commentary and it's not even good commentary. Especially when Gotham has such deep levels of political corruption that even with Bruce Wayne's deep pockets, it seems that it is a Herculean effort to even make a minor impact on crime. He also still manages to have compassion for even his greatest enemies. He is such an awesome hero with terrible writers.
I was introduced to flash thanks to superman TAS, he wore red (my favorite color) with the lightning bolt symbol on his chest and was as fast/faster than superman. “The Great Brain Robbery” in JL:TAS shows off Flash’s powers and demeanor so well. When Luthor is making Flash’s body create all manner of unstable events and someone comments on their surprise and fear Green Lantern speaks about how that is why Flash doesn’t do it

@InevitableOption-ic2vx well you know what i'm all in for that. We don't need to introduce brand new characters. What we need to bring existing characters that don't often get the spot light, have some recognition.
Honestly I've grown tired of the overuse of the Flashpoint or just any time/alternate universe hopping from Flash media/entertainment. There's been enough of it and it's getting really old, it's not the only interesting Flash story in existence. How is it that Flash is the only hero that never has a movie where he's actually facing a villain from his rogues gallery except Reverse Flash? Spider-man, Batman, Superman, Hulk, Iron man, Thor, Captain America... all the names I've dropped had a movie with one of their villains whilst only really focusing on the hero vs villain. With the Reverse Flash he gets tied with the Flashpoint and taunts Barry.
Arrow was out here fighting ras al ghul Malcolm Merlyn and deathstroke in seasons 1-3 and then loses to some drug dealer and a girl with the same exact powers as his team member who he constantly beats the shit out of
I grew up on the Justice League Animated show and Flash was literally the first superhero I was exposed to and there was shockingly low amount of Flash in media ever since the show turned into JLU. There's just something profoundly cool about a person that is fast enough to catch bullets and practically stop time. I really wish there's more Flash and its a shame that DC just defaults to the Trinity whenever they hit a rut
@@mayotango1317 Yeah, even the writers admitted that they wrote Wally off a lot of episodes bc they didn't know how to write a speedster, they also nerfed his speed a lot. I wouldn't necessarily say that he's a clown tho his personality itself tends to fluctuate depending on the episode
18:48 What's even dumber about this scene is that Justice League Vs Teen Titans established that Flash learned the Infinite Mass Punch. What was stopping him from IM Uppercutting Doomsday into the exosphere?
It's been said before, but the amount of praise the writers gave to wonder woman while disrespecting the rest of the Justice league is so weird. This is our first time meeting this version of DIana and she gets more love than Batman, who we actually know. I completely get the love for the character because she's part of the trinity, but it felt like a fan that hates everything DC related but her wrote it
@InevitableOption-ic2vx It has nothing to do with that when characters like waller are seen as unlikeable, it's Wonder Woman and the absolute worship the writers have for her (I still love the character and her importance though)
@InevitableOption-ic2vx fair enough, don't wanna make it come off as though I hate wonder woman either or that she doesn't deserve that kind of praise, but when you get characters like Lex Luthor (the evil one at that) saying people should be like her, it gets weird lol
And they made Wonder Woman into a jerk who doesn't trust the Suicide Squad. Yet the Squad like her more than the Flash who saved them twice before he got brainwashed. Talk about character shilling.
CW had done Godspeed dirty. Very dirty. Godspeed is a better character in the comics. That’s why I say before CW do more harm than help. Agree about Zack Snyder’s Flash. He does act more like a kid/teenager. I remember people compare Ben Atfleck and him with MCU Iron Man and Spider Man. 5:37 Do you mean Rick Famuyiwa the “former” director of Flash movie? He said he planned Eboard Thawne in the movie. But since Famuyiwa left during production, Thawne was replaced by Dark Flash aka Future Flashpoint Barry. So…. Both road would be terrible. Like why do flashpoint and introduce Thawne in first and only live action flash movie? We only got Captain boomerang but no other flash villains. Well you say Harley admires Wonder Woman. You already show Harley wants smash Wonder Woman. As you already show the clip in 10:38. Imagine if Captain Boomerang flirts with Wonder Woman. Yeah that won’t go well, if people saw that. 11:38 We should talk about Toy-man. This Toy-man is literally a kid. Who is a fan and admires the justice league. He thought he use his technology to help to un-brainwash the justice league. But no, he ended up helping suicide squad to kill the justice league. Even the post game, Toy-man was in fact sad and crying the fact he help suicide squad kill the justice league. I feel bad for this Toy-Man he not even a villain just kid who wants to save the justice league. I don’t how he with technology not know Amanda Waller is a bad guy. 16:35 Yeah Flash’s Death in the Injustice Movie is so dumb and it wouldn’t work. The Flash is immune to toxins because his *Super Speed Metabolism* 18:27 And Wally West and His Cousin Wallace(you know him as new 52 Wally) only got Cameos in DC animated movie universe. 20:26 Since The Chad, Jeremy Adams, wrote Flash comics i believe the best future movie adaptation is his *Flash: One Minute War.* It focus on the Flash Family fighting super speed Aliens. All the other DC Heroes are frozen in time. One Minute War can work.
I really wish S Squad would’ve taken the “halo reach” approach to the story. The squad desperately trying to finish their mission while getting effortlessly picked off, narrowly accomplishing the job with the help of the last non-corrupted members of the league would’ve been so damn fire. And would’ve been some interesting character growth for traditional villains realizing they may have wasted their lives hurting people, or maybe just doubling down showing they truly are irredeemable would’ve been cool too. Just wasted potential 😞
As a Diehard Barry Allen fan, it hurts how the people who don't know Flash will always see Grant Gustin's Flash as the one and only Flash. Like he did great on his role but he wasn't the Flash in comics who actually learns from his mistakes and never needed a mentor or team to kick ass. Barry in the show would panic of a bomb getting attach but the comics Barry would just run far away and think of 10 ways to get a bomb off.
I thought Batwoman, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter were the most disrespected DC characters ever… you managed to prove me wrong in a matter of 20 minutes
I completely understand your point. That whole being dependent on a team is the same thing as ruining Batman in the comics. Batman is a super genius polymathic intellectual first and legendary grandmaster-level one-man army warrior second. All he needs is Alfred and a Robin to humanize him. Anything else is unnecessary and unneeded as it nerfs him to validate their membership. With that being said what threat can you write for him that isn't a speedster? The only Flash villain to get consistent appearances is Captain Boomerang a regular Australian thief with a Boomerang. He needs a main villain like Obito from Naruto. He becomes intangible and Flash can't touch him as he can transport Flash into another dimension but also is a former MARSOC Raider who could defeat him in combat.
I can see where you're coming from about the flash but I'm going to have to disagree with you about the Bat family being unneeded and unnecessary. There are a lot of good stories involving them like no man's land and batman inc. a lot of the time they add a lot of liveliness to Gotham and batman in General characters like Barbara, Cassandra, tim, Jason, Cassie , Helena , and lessie thompkins help explore different aspects of his character some very interesting story lines and interaction that can be really fun to read. Also I feel like it also shows how Bruce is willing to open up and make a new family from the one he's lost all those years about in the alley
@@esiasfrost2306 the robins and maybe Cassandra Cain I'm okay with but not anyone else. What is the point of having 4 robins past and present, Barbara, Spoiler, Batwoman, Ghostmaker, Harley Quinn in some cases for some reason, Signal, and Azrael to name a few if nothing is changed? Ghostmaker, Azrael, and Harley are the only ones not trained by him. Because they were trained by the Walking Encyclopedia of Warfare/Espionage and Scientific Knowledge in Bruce Wayne they're at the top of the line both as warriors and intellectuals on the planet with for the most part Mansa Musa level money behind them for funding and still nothing changes. One of the problems is the fact that they are almost always in Gotham but these massive city-shaking events keep happening back to back. City of Bane, Joker War, Fear State, and Gotham War just to name some. They even have Duke Thomas Signal the metahuman genius polymathic ninja trained by Batman fighting crime in Daylight and nothing changes. These issues would make some sense if it was Ra’s Al Ghul and the LOS or some massive Occult threat but no it's criminals. Lastly, because they're so many members he is no longer needed to be fighting crime as he can now be Bruce Wayne financing things in Gotham full-time. They need to evolve in some fashion for Batman as he's clearly stagnating with the same old grounded-in-reality takes on film and suffering from relying on the repeated Joker cycle and from having too much that it's now a crutch.
I think his main villain should be a teleporter like Shimazaki from Mob Psycho. Make the villain with this powerset and the flash has a Reverse Flash level menace of an opponent.
@@johnfelix503 That is just stupid. Flash can move faster than thought. He can quite literally walk the entire planet before teleportation character will have a neuron sparking in their brain… let alone formulating a semblance of a thought to use their powers
Speedsters without limitations are always getting hoe'd out because of how broken they are. If you're gonna make a speedster character that can do all kinda things, make it so he can only do it in short bursts or other limitations like he can't phase through matter or time travel.
Like my speedster character, the Speedstress. She can't phase through solid matter. When she vibrates at the same frequency that Barry uses to phase, she acts more like a power saw than a ghost. And Speedstress could time travel, but only to the past. She'd have to wait for the future. And while she can go back to the past, she can't change the past because the universe of Verse-617861 is a concrete timeline that operates on Lost's time travel rule of whatever happened happened, so a future Speedstress would have already appeared before she time-travels, and whatever she tries in the past, she'd end up doing what her future self already did in the present, making her time travel practically useless other than to show up on time to something she's late to, and even that is not worth it as her birthday would change because going months in the past make her months older so her original date of birth won't be a good indicator of when she gets a year older anymore, and going back years means she would be years older. And even if she just goes back an hour earlier, she can't do that too much because they add up and throw off her birthday. That is a good reason she wouldn't time travel that much. Not because of any grandfather parodoxes or butterfly ripple effects that are IMPOSSIBLE in a concrete timeline but because of how it would make her birthday confusing.
Either that or give him an equally broken villain. One of his main villains should be a teleporter like Shimazaki from Mob Psycho without the limitation of being blind. Now the Flash has a Reverse Flash level menace of a villain.
@@johnfelix503 The Speedstress' arch enemy is her son from the future, Speedman. He's the reason I gave Speedstress the ability to time-travel, because if her son has inherited her powers and time travelled, she must have the ability to time travel too. Speedsters could go back in time by going faster than time to run in Negative Time. However, as they could only go backwards in time with this method, Speedman is trapped in the past when his mother was a freshman in high school. And he couldn't change the past, so he had to act like his mother's greatest foe. And another villain the Speedstress would face is Coin Man. He flips a coin to determine all of his decisions. And since Speedstress doesn't want to get in trouble for arresting or fighting an innocent man who didn't do anything illegal, she has to wait for his coin toss to make him do a crime. She always makes sure her opponent makes the first move. But As long as Coin Man is at a bank or somewhere he could hurt someone, Speedstress has to watch him. So yeah, Coin Man really tests her patience and was the reason she was late for school.

@malikpierre-louis3343well that is animated and all the characters are all animals I don’t think that example is very comparable. Some of his villains would work incredibly well like reverse flash, savitar, and mirror man if he got an over haul.
@JonathanBrown623 But just take elements from the show and put them into movies, and it would be better. Less time wasted. No reliance on villain of the week. An actual sense of conclusion to the story, instead of it just going on and on forever.
@zzirfamo24 that's because the whole Snyderverse was doomed from the start. No leadership or goal. It just kept limping on. They made every stupid decision they could. The Flash movie made no sense and I'm glad it bombed. They'll always be behind the MCU because they have no clue how to build up a cinematic universe.
It's funny, cause most of the issues for Flash can be solved by not having him faster than Time itself. I blame CW for constantly showing The Flash as some plot device to Time Travel, instead of treating him like an actual character. The Flash IS NOT even the only one to time travel, most DC characters you can think of can time travel, yet Flash is treated as if the only thing special about him is that.
@@kingol4801 Makes no sense, because you do realise a Speedster running and dropping a suitcase at you at 100MPH will put you 6 feet underground or comatose, right? Speedsters can quickly create a Tornado by running at 200MPH and kicking dust, dirt, and sand off the ground. Considering planes do it at 500MPH While being a giant piece of Metal. It'll take a Speedster a lot less to create a Vortex with just their hand. There's also a Difference between Combat Speed, Running Speed, and Reflex/Agility. All of what I mentioned will make a Speedsters still feel powerful, yet understandably still susceptible to Normal Attacks like Gunfire or a Supervillain fighting back. The problem with the flash as a serialized show is how do you make every episode interesting when Barry should never ever have issues against any villain that isn’t a speedster logically speaking. It makes no sense but there has to be conflict
First, do not create show with 23 episodes, where only 7-9 episodes are main plot. Take off useless enemies(Shapeshifter, Multiplier, Captain Cold, Heat Wave and so on). Second, there were non-speedsters with interesting powers. Some of them could work as enemies. The Flash scene is hilarious and very charming. It also works within context as his mind is being altered by a villain. I don't mind the She-Hulk twerk scene either.
To this day, Zoom's initial beating of Barry before dragging his thrashed body around Central City to the police station, the media station (newspaper if I remember correctly) and back to S.T.A.R. Labs before crippling him was just brutal and IMO the worst beating he ever received in that show...
Flash has the Superman problem where he's just so incredibly broken that writers don't know what to do with him, so they just make up some bs for the story to work.
Yep in the injustice movie bro died to a saw blade that he can easily dodge but somehow didn’t react but he was on fear toxin but at the same time duck in fear bruh
Except Bart was never a dweeb. He was manic and ADD, but in action. He wouldn’t ask what the deal with Brunch is. He would jump off a cliff without thinking about how to land. He was leap before you look.
When it comes to power scaling, I feel like you could do both. All you’d have to do is place consequences for the flash doing the insane speed feats and that force him to return to “base” speed.
I feel like there vaguely is a weakness he has already, I remember wally always needing food in the animated Justice League, idk why they don't just ramp that up and use it better or something 😭 it would be so easy
Honestly this might be a hot take but, I like how The Flash was done in the Crisis On Infinite Earths movie. It feels like what the 2023 Flash movie wanted to be (a multiverse film that does a good job at giving us a look at Barry's life). Also, a video suggestion: DC needs to start using Martian Manhunter better, that man has been SEVERALLY underutilized
It would definitely be nice to get some better portrayals of the Flash, and some more original uses beyond time/multiverse shenanigans; but I do have to say, as far as inconsistent power-scaling goes, that's not a problem that originated in the adaptations (or recently), he's a superhero, that's just part of the source material. I don't think that across the entirety of DC and Marvel comics that there's been a single super hero or villain appearing for more than a handful of issues that has EVER had even the SLIGHTEST bit of consistency in their power levels; superhero comics just flat out don't care about that, and never have (and likely never will). That's not to say that writers can't do a better job than they are; adaptations do have the opportunity to condense and refine the chaos of the originals into something a little more streamlined, and if they aren't going to make the details consistent, they could at least learn to make it not as obvious.
5:40 tbf flashpoint do be kind of ass though. Especially with the fact that new 52 happen with just hard reboot everything for no real justification other than a dumb business decision. The 2 best elements was flashpoint batman, superman, cyborg and the last fight with flash vs barry allen.
When they gave the Flash a tragic backstory for his origins it was the actual start to the downfall of the Flash Character. In this case the Barry Allen Flash character.
Look the issue with SS: kills the Justice League they treated it like it was another Arkham game instead of treating it like it was its own thing I don't mind it being in the Arkham universe but if they presented it in its own way & not trying to sell it as another Arkham game am pretty sure it wouldn't have gotten the backlash like it received... Now " disrespecting" the heros uhhh look am not saying this game is the greatest ever far from that but come on it's the name of the game kill the Justice League if the heros have to die could have they done a better job killing them? Yeah of course but I played the game when it 1st came out & it dropped major hints that something was not right with the JL yeah I know they were brainwashed that's not what I meant I mean how you defeat them especially Batman getting shot in the head/mouth after years of dodging bullets and upgrading his suits he's going to get taken out like that? Yeah something was definitely off that's where the theory of them being Clones came in.. But overall I think the end game to all of this is the Arkham verse is it going to get reset
Yea, I kinda gave up on Flash during the second half of Season 4. OH BOY that was utter trash and I was like "... I miss Season 3 now" and thank god I haven't return. When I saw that clip with the lightsaber battle, I was more convinced watching KAMEN RIDER than that.
I kept thinking you didn’t understand Captain Cold and his Cold gun. Which shoots cold that reaches absolute zero temperatures but then I saw your ending. Where you literally show artwork of the Rogues during Jeremy Adams run and then I realized that I probably just didn’t understand what you were trying to convey.
Is your point that cold is a treat because his gun can stop his Flash in his tracks ? Because if that's the case then That's not a good point since Cold has to press the trigger and Barry can easily take his gun before He can even touch the trigger.

I can’t get over how the last-ever official Arrowverse season was a bad final season of a once decent show that cares more about simping for a badly written side character and less about giving the characters an exciting, definitive and respectful ending. This is an unpopular opinion but Sam Lane's season 2 finale speech was the worst moment of the entire show. The dialogue was forced and felt less like a Superman and Lois moment and more like a Warner Bros moment. Because they needed a way to confirm that the show was NEVER part of the Arrowverse. They could’ve just made all of the show’s changes part of the Earth Prime changes. Even if you hate the Arrowverse, leading the fans on with Diggle cameos and mentioning Oliver and the Crisis for two straight seasons was a dick move that disrespects the fans' intelligence. Which is exactly what Warner Bros does, especially with DC fans. And even at the time, I knew the retcon was gonna be pointless. Which proved me right because after the following season, it was announced to be cancelled after the next season! Between the retcon and Legends of Tomorrow, the 3rd official Arrowverse show, getting cancelled on a fucking cliffhanger, just so they wouldn't have to pay for the sets anymore, the Arrowverse ends on one of its’ most pathetic notes. The Arrowverse-scratch that-MOST DCTV shows in general deserved better management. And I can't think of a better way to give them an epic ending than by making another multiverse crossover! With better writing, VFX, etc! And then have it end with most of the shows retconned in the same universe, something many of the fans of these shows have always wanted. They could always bring back this universe in whichever project the same way the DCAU returns in a different project once in a while. The fans of all these shows want it, most of the actors of these shows want it, some of the writers of these shows want it. However, I won't be surprised if the writers/producers of S&L don't want it.
You pretty much explained my issue with speedsters within 50 seconds. Super speed is such a broken ability it's not funny. There were many times where villains (who can run at normal speed may i remind you) runs around the corner and when flash goes around the corner to catch them they disappear all of a sudden. There was a point where flash said he checked all over the city which is cap AF.
CW flash losing to any villain that isn't a speedster is just wrong, someone calc'ed that he was 400,000x the speed of light, (based on the fact he made a nuclear explosion last hours) how is this man losing to normal thugs 😭
This calculation is meaningless, the physics in this show has nothing to do with reality. It takes something like Mach 5 to time travel in this show. However, 5 Mach is still way more than it takes to beat the crap out of all the antagonists on this show except the fast guys.
To me, the flash never being able to have a stand alone story that doesn’t involve time travel, is the equivalence of how every major event involving Spider-Man, must include the multiverse. Like I swear, we will never get a comic run, game, or movie about Spider-Man that’s more smaller scale and personal. And we will never get a flash story that’s just about him saving the day from like, mirror master or something. And of course, without a dumb team helping him every step of the way.
I saw this title and thought "Well, yeah, DC hates Wally. Or Dan Didio did. Everyone knows that. He hated Roy too." Then I figured out you were talking about Barry Allen. This is how all CW shows are, I'm afraid. Berlanti is really bad as a showrunner. 2:00 Here's where I have to draw a line. Unlike "We are Robin", saying we are the Flash makes less sense because, well, frankly, the Flash can do things we can't simply learn. 3:53 And now I'm thinking of Ezra Miller's weird Flash cult.
To be fair, I think the best onscreen version of the all the members of the justice league is justice league unlimited. That era was amazing. The writers understood how to make all the main members work. To name a few specific moments: Superman's world of cardboard speech is amazing, Batman is awesome in the episode with Ace, The Flash has that one great episode where the city holds a celebration in honor of him that four villains from his rogue's gallery try to crash during which we see just how much he cares about everyone, even some of the villains. That show was great.
The Flash series emphasized this problem the most, because it STARTED with having great respect for the character. Reverse Flash and Zoom demolished him early because he was young and not very powerful yet, and then he always got the chance to demolish them later. He actually whooped Zoom twice in one episode. And then they lost all respect for the character, and treated him like a joke. The writers were literally like zoom "give people hope, so I can rip it away from them"
its not JUST flash, his villain's get this same treatment. "the rouges" [ie captain boomerangs crew] in the comics ARE WAY different from what you see in games like ssktjl and the flash cw series, they don't even kill people in the comics not even cops and DEFINTLY NOT A speedster, because it just draws attention, from people like supes.
I liked his short portrayal in Batman The Brave and The Bold. Most of the episode was dedicated to building him up by showing how his absence affected his rogues, Wally and Jay. It’s revealed to us late in the episode that he was trapped in the future by Reverse-Flash. With 2 minutes left of the episode we see him in action against RF it was a really cool showcase of what made the character cool; having super speed yes but using it in really clever ways to outmaneuver RF who was siphoning off his speed at the time in that short time he was allowed to shine he was a beast and wasn’t held down by dumb writing decisions.
I don't really understand why it's so hard for them to keep Flash consistent. You can have OP characters and still keep the stakes high. They do it with Superman all the time. The Rogues work not just because they are well written characters, but also because each of their abilities DO actually functionally counter Flash. Captain Cold being the most prominent example. A lot of people don't seem to understand just how cold absolute zero (the temperature the cold gun produces) actually is. It is the point at which atoms completely stop moving. That would require infinite energy to be reached irl. The Flash can only survive such a thing because the Speedforce moves the atoms he is composed of at like a billion times the speed of anything else. I'm rambling but my point is that the Cold gun is a valid counter to The Flash because the weapon so cold that just being within a couple feet of the beam's proximity would freeze someone solid. Ofc it would slow a speedster. And all of the Rogues have abilities designed to slow and/or preoccupy Flash.
Not very familiar with Flash stuff, but even a casual like me can see how Mirror Master is a counter too with being able to make illusions, switch places in other reflective surfaces instantly, and basically hiding away in his little mirror world where the Flash can't touch him. Weather Wizard can alter so many variables that the Flash has to account for, like suddenly he will be running with hurricane winds trying to lift him off the ground, throw lightning at him that is close to light speed, hell just give him heat stroke from running so much by making the area impossibly hot. Obscure his vision with fog.
11:37 Something to note about the Flash fight is that they were using versions of the same device from Toy Man, which could have been upgraded to remove the manual activation weakness. However, dialogue from the Flash boss fight mentions that the device only prevents Barry from touching them at close range, and doesn't do anything to Flash if he doesn't get close. Which means that this Flash was confirmed to moving at his normal speeds when he died to bullets that he was already established to be capable of dodging earlier into the game.
CW show was "i am the fastest man alive" >oh no i'm not the fastest man alive >"run barry run" >repeat every episode/arc animated injustice - makes him unable to dodge a saw blade suicide squad kill the rocksteady - plz let's ignore it's existence movies - tone deaf and unable to understand that he can move so fast everything stops for him it's like they know only about time travel and flashpoint paradox and that's what they use flash for ONLY
@@bluemoth6983 There are ways to spice it up. Captain Cold could learn to absorb speed force energy and become some kind of Frost Flash. I can imagine him freezing streets and cars as he runs by
"The justice league are clones" I know about the leaks but pointing this out. If braniac can clone the league and their equipment this quickly then why not outfit an army with the disrupter and stop the squad from moving or better yet why not have braniac use his instant win button as established right after the squad some how kills superman
The first Flash movie should have been a Prequel. Plain and simple. We could literally see the events that led to him being a recluse involving his struggle with his mother's death, unknowingly befriending the Reverse Flash, and him learning he is secretly there to ruin and kill him
I love the flash thanks to grant potrayal as the character and i hope we can get a flash game and that james gunn give grant another chance to show how perfectly casting him as a movie flash he is. Plus he can still be able to do other things and spend time with his family if he is just doing a movie
I just don't get it... they have our money before these movies are even made and they keep screwing up. Over 80 years worth of source material and they screwed up. WTF?!?!?
3:03 what the flash struggled from is they leaned and didn’t lean into the camp. In the comics regular people like captain cold had a “cold aura” around them (like turtle) that slowed him down. Is it dumb? Well yeah, but set ina universe like this and sure I’ll believe it. But they made the standard the rouges (respect the flash, like they do in the comics) and so that’s why he stops to talk (which I hate) but never build on that!
This channel made me realize how a production company/Comics underutilize a lot of incredible characters
Then overutilize the ones that don’t need to be

Depends on the writer, the Boomerang from the original Suicide Squad run would absolutely do that.

I would've rather had a good Flash movie, then 9 crappy seasons of a Flash show
Seasons 1-3 was good but everything else was either mid or trash
@JonathanBrown623 But just take elements from the show and put them into movies, and it would be better. Less time wasted. No reliance on villain of the week. An actual sense of conclusion to the story, instead of it just going on and on forever.
@@JonathanBrown623 Season 1 was just average. Season 2 was just the same. Season 3 was predictable and boring. After that, it went downhill.

If your speedster is not on that level, they are useless.
And if they are on that level, they are Dr. Manhattan
@@kingol4801
Makes no sense, because you do realise a Speedster running and dropping a suitcase at you at 100MPH will put you 6 feet underground or comatose, right?
Speedsters can quickly create a Tornado by running at 200MPH and kicking dust, dirt, and sand off the ground.
Considering planes do it at 500MPH While being a giant piece of Metal. It'll take a Speedster a lot less to create a Vortex with just their hand.
There's also a Difference between Combat Speed, Running Speed, and Reflex/Agility.
All of what I mentioned will make a Speedsters still feel powerful, yet understandably still susceptible to Normal Attacks like Gunfire or a Supervillain fighting back. Speedsters do NOT need to be faster than Time, It's dumb to make them so.

Well, I should say that watching a show, where op main character gets his ass kicked by some weaklings is not so entertaining.

Batman's explosives only damaged the suit not Doomsday himself

The WB seems to not understand the DC’s iconic stories require proper build up in establishing proper characters & context for the events.
As rushed as the Crisis animated movie was, I thought that was the best portrayal of Barry Allen.
0:12 the real thing to be mad about is the shell isnt animated falling out the barrel
That's not to say that writers can't do a better job than they are; adaptations do have the opportunity to condense and refine the chaos of the originals into something a little more streamlined, and if they aren't going to make the details consistent, they could at least learn to make it not as obvious.

there is a lego movie staring the Flash - "Lego DC Comics Super Heroes: The Flash"
I how you weren't implying that quicksilver was an example of this, they established that his speed is equal to that of a bullets, not faster
When they gave the Flash a tragic backstory for his origins it was the actual start to the downfall of the Flash Character. In this case the Barry Allen Flash character.
Why? That makes Barry a better character.
Litteraly no.
Thank God you aren’t writing his story. Thats one of the best parts of his story.
If Kill the Justice league is truly canon, they should never use the characters again. They clearly don’t know how to anyways.
Where you literally show artwork of the Rogues during Jeremy Adams run and then I realized that I probably just didn’t understand what you were trying to convey.
Is your point that cold is a treat because his gun can stop his Flash in his tracks ?
Because if that's the case then That's not a good point since Cold has to press the trigger and Barry can easily take his gun before He can even touch the trigger.

You should do marvel hates and disrespects spider-man
I can’t get over how the last-ever official Arrowverse season was a bad final season of a once decent show that cares more about simping for a badly written side character and less about giving the characters an exciting, definitive and respectful ending.
The CW shows were always going to go downhill due to lack of budget and their teen soap opera writing style
When zoom first showed up he gave Barry that 10 piece combo no biscuit
Nah , he added a biscuit and didn't give him no drink 😂
You pretty much explained my issue with speedsters within 50 seconds. Super speed is such a broken ability it's not funny.
There were many times where villains (who can run at normal speed may i remind you) runs around the corner and when flash goes around the corner to catch them they disappear all of a sudden. There was a point where flash said he checked all over the city which is cap AF.
The same issue is prevalent in the comics
The plot threads in Season 3 were also hard to watch just as much as the plot threads in the others seasons, except for the first two seasons.
CW flash losing to any villain that isn't a speedster is just wrong, someone calc'ed that he was 400,000x the speed of light, (based on the fact he made a nuclear explosion last hours) how is this man losing to normal thugs 😭
Even if he was just as fast as lightning or light, he should blitz any non speedster character
That happen in the cómics, because the Rogues are the best villains.
@@mayotango1317he shouldn’t be losing to fucking Leonard snart tho, or any other non speedster villain lol cicada was such a cheese ass villain
Flash is the Spider-man of DC💀
To be fair, I think the best onscreen version of the all the members of the justice league is justice league unlimited. That era was amazing. The writers understood how to make all the main members work. To name a few specific moments: Superman's world of cardboard speech is amazing, Batman is awesome in the episode with Ace, The Flash has that one great episode where the city holds a celebration in honor of him that four villains from his rogue's gallery try to crash during which we see just how much he cares about everyone, even some of the villains. That show was great.
19:29 I’d like to see rebirth adapted
What a missed opportunity to add a clip of Madvocate’s “Don’tstoptotalkdon’tstoptotalkdon’tstoptotalkdon’tstoptotalk”.
17:52 I love when they follow the plot of the comics, rather than deviate from it.
Do you think Lucas Till or Will Poulter should be Barry Allen Flash in James Gunn DC projects in the DCU?

3:03 what the flash struggled from is they leaned and didn’t lean into the camp. In the comics regular people like captain cold had a “cold aura” around them (like turtle) that slowed him down. But they made the standard the rouges (respect the flash, like they do in the comics) and so that’s why he stops to talk (which I hate) but never build on that!
